Melissa Gentz , 22, posted a picture of her bruised and bloodied face on social media. Her attacker was her socialite boyfriend Erick Bretz according to New York Daily News . He allegedly attacked Gentz on September 23 in his downtown Tampa condo tower. Melissa, a University of South Florida student, posted her scars on Instagram three days later writing: “You know how we usually have a side of our face that we prefer more than the other? I like my left side. Unfortunately, it’s the side that was severely bruised by violence,” she captioned the image. “Today was the first day in which I felt like passing some mascara and blush on the right side of my face… I won’t hide the marks of my story because NO woman should feel ashamed of (sic) feel blamed for being a victim of domestic violence.” You can check out Gentz’ graphic pic for yourself here . The bruises Gentz suffered went viral in her native Brazil with over 1 million shares of her photo. Even actress and model Luiz Brunet shared Gentz’s story on her Instagram. Brazilian soap star Joao Vicente de Castro also wrote, “Courageous. Doing what you have done is important and necessary. I’m proud of people like you. We are with you.” Four days after posting her initial photo, Gentz shared another pic of her bruised face, but this time it was nestled in a basket of flowers. “Life moves on and we’re all strong enough to put ourselves first,” she wrote. You can check out that photo here . Erick Bretz’s father owns one of Brazil’s largest grocery chains and he’s also known on the Brazilailan Motocross Championship circuit. Gentz and Bretz were reportedly dating for three months before the September 23 attack. The altercation allegedly grew after Bretz mixed insomnia medication with alcohol. He allegedly kicked Gentz in the face and tried to strangle her with his legs. She also told the cops that he punched her in the face, struck her in the face with a bottle, and pulled out chunks of her hair. Bretz, 25 was arrested on charges of domestic battery by strangulation and tampering with a witness. He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail, then was later released on a $60,000 bail. He has since pleaded not guilty.

She became a viral star for the letter she wrote to Barack Obama requesting a meeting about the Flint water crisis! Copeny garnered national attention after she penned a letter to former President Barack Obama asking him to meet with her so that they can figure out a solution to overcome the water crisis. “I am one of the children that is effected by this water, and I’ve been doing my best to march in protest and to speak out for all the kids that live here in Flint. This Thursday I will be riding a bus to Washington, D.C. to watch the congressional hearings of our Governor Rick Snyder . I know this is probably an odd request but I would love for a chance to meet you or your wife,” she wrote in the letter, according to the Los Angeles Times . Copeny, who is known as “Little Miss Flint,” got the opportunity to meet the president in May 2016. The Kid Activist doll dons a beautiful full afro, a jacket that says “Stand Up,” and a protest sign that bears the words “Kids Voices Matter.” The doll is priced at $24.95. Copeny took to Twitter to share the news about the doll’s release. As you’ve likely heard by now, Bill Cosby was sentenced to 3-10 years in prison yesterday after being convicted of sexually assaulting Andrea Constand. The disgraced comedy legend was handcuffed and taken into custody shortly after the judge delivered his sentence. It’s been less than 24 hours since he was imprisoned, but already, Cosby’s booking photo has become a viral sensation, and reports about his first day behind bars are being gleefully shared on every social media platform. (A report from TMZ that Cosby’s first meal will include Jell-O has proven particularly popular.) Naturally, Cosby took advantage of his first opportunity to place a phone call, and insiders confirm that he contacted his wife of 54 years, Camille Cosby. Now, a new report Radar Online claims that Cosby spent most of his time on the phone imploring Camille to do everything in her power to get him out of jail. “They took my cane, tie and shoelaces because they think I will harm myself,” Cosby reportedly told his wife . A witness who listened in on the call, says Cosby complained about the conditions and led his wife to believe he was in immediate physical danger: “He said he had a stale hotdog bun thrown at him and he fell down a few steps because he wasn’t being guided,” the source recalls. “He told Camille, ‘Grab the checkbook and hire anyone and everyone’ who could get him out as soon as possible.” Obviously, as a lifelong serial rapist, Cosby is deserving of absolutely zero sympathy. But if the idea of a mostly-blind 81-year-old grandfather living out what might be his final years in state prison strikes you as tragically pathetic, fear not. Life is easier for rich people everywhere — including prison. Cosby will likely serve his sentence in a relatively cushy facility for “low risk” inmates, and a team of lawyers will descend on the place every time a guard so much as looks at him askance. Fortunately, his treasured “legacy” has been thoroughly decimated, and Cosby’s many victims can hopefully rest easier knowing justice has somewhat been served. According to TMZ , Owens had no interest in taking Onika’s pity, especially considering he has so many roles lined up after his story went viral. Being that he wants to work for his, he figured that the money could still go to really good use. The $25,000 will be donated to the Actors’ Fund, a charitable organization that helps struggling actors when they are in need. The Actors’ Fund pays for the Actors’ Home which is near and dear to Geoffrey’s heart for a very valid reason: “I would like to give this donation of 25k to the Actor’s Fund in memory of the late, great Earle Hyman — who played Cosby’s father, ‘Russell’, on “The Cosby Show” — who lived his last many years and died at the Actors’ Home, (funded and run by the Actor’s Fund). I am extremely grateful to Nicki Minaj for enabling struggling actors to continue pursuing their dreams.” Good on everybody.
