WARNING to all future United Airlines passengers: Expect all upcoming luggage fees to increase by approximately 750%. The company is about to be in need of vast sums of money… At a press conference this afternoon, lawyer Tom Demetrio spoke on behalf of Dr. David Dao, the 69-year old passenger who was violently dragged off a United flight on Sunday night. As most of the free world has likely read all about by now, Dao refused to give up the seat he paid for while traveling from Chicago to Louisville. Because United had overbooked this flight, and no one had accepted the $800 offered to change their travel plans, the airline chose four individuals at random to leave the plane and take a later flight instead. Dao was one of the people selected and asked to get off the plane. He said he had patients to see early Monday morning, however, and remained in his seat. Until, that is, Chicago police officers were called in… tried to talk to Dao reasonably… and then said they were forced to do THIS: United Airlines Passenger Gets Bloodied, Bruised, Forcibly Removed from Seat Because fellow passengers captured the incident on their cellphones, the above footage quickly went viral. As did the associated outrage. It didn’t help his company’s cause when the United CEO offered up one of the lamest apologies of all-time , saying his airline has to “re-accommodate” customers from time to time. That may be the case, Demetrio told the press today, but not in the manner as happened with Dao. “If you’re going to eject a passenger, under no circumstances can it be done with unreasonable force or violence. That’s the law,” he said. “For a long time, airlines – United, in particular – have bullied us. … We want respect and we want dignity. That’s it. Not a big deal.” Dao was taken to a hospital as a result of his one-sided confrontation with the police. Demetrio explained today that his client suffered a “significant concussion, a broken nose and sinus injuries.” He also said Dao, who was released from the hospital last night, lost two front teeth and will be undergoing “reconstructive surgery.” So, naturally, Dao plans on suing United, right? The assumption is that the company will be forced to pay millions of dollars in some kind of settlement. “We’re not ready to sue. We’re doing our due diligence,” Demetrio said, although he was quick to add that a lawsuit basically is coming and ‘will be filed in Cook County.” The attorney further said that Dao had conveyed to him that he was on a boat out of Vietnam after the 1975 fall of Saigon, and “being dragged down the aisle was more horrifying and harrowing than what he experienced in Vietnam.” That’s fantastic. We love it. We’re in awe. We’re not trying to downplay the trauma of what Dao went through on board that plane, but come on. That’s just a tailor made quote to tell the public as a way to pressure United into forking over a whole lot of cash. Dao “has no interest in ever seeing an airplane again” and will likely take a car home to Kentucky, the lawyer said, adding that his client has “absolutely zippo” memory of the incident. The doctor himself previously spoke briefly to a news outlet in Louisville , saying “everything” was hurting. After issuing one tone deaf statement after another, United CEO Oscar Munoz finally came out on Tuesday and made a full-fledged mea culpa. “The truly horrific event that occurred on this flight has elicited many responses from all of us: outrage, anger, disappointment. I share all of those sentiments, and above all: my deepest apologies for what happened,” Munoz said, adding: “Like you, I continue to be disturbed by what happened on this flight and I deeply apologize to the customer forcibly removed and to all the customers aboard. “No one should ever be mistreated this way.” One of Dao’s five children, Crystal, also talked to reporters today. She said the entire family was “horrified and shocked and sickened” by the footage of her dad getting dragged off the flight. Dao’s attorneys, meanwhile, have already filed documents in Chicago, demanding United preserve all evidence and personnel records related to his incident. It sucks Dao had to go through this. But he is about to be a VERY rich man.
Will she or won’t she? That’s the question now dogging Meghan Markle wherever she goes. In relation to the actress accepting a wedding proposal from handsome boyfriend Prince Harry? What? No?!? In relation to Taylor Swift asking Markle an even more important question. According to anonymous OK! Weekly sources, the singer is planning to befriend the Suits star and see if she’s willing to help Swift rebuild her infamous Squad. As fans have likely noticed of late, Taylor hasn’t just been absent from the red carpet scene or the concert scene or the awards show scene over the past several weeks. She hasn’t been filling up her Instagram feed with photos of herself and any members of her typically-viral clique, either, such as Selena Gomez, Bella Hadid or Lorde. “Taylor’s team has reached out to Meghan requesting a girly lunch,” the tabloid alleges, hilariously adding: “Taylor’s determined to include her in her inner circle and is willing to fly to Canada to meet up with her if necessary.” Oh, yes. ALL the way to Canada! You know Swift is serious in that case! Swift’s squad is more depleted these days than the roster of the New York Jets, whose outlook for 2017 is so dire than many fans are lamenting the loss of terrible quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. With no salary cap restraining her friendships, however, it’s unclear what has caused Swift’s Squad to splinter in such epic fashion. Although it was dealt a severe blow when Gomez started dating Hadid’s ex, The Weeknd, causing major tension between two of Swift’s best friends. But that at least means there’s an opening for the type of person to join on whom Taylor has kept a close eye for years. “Taylor’s always wanted to crack the aristocratic set and is trying to reconnect with Ed Sheeran, who’s in with the Royal Family,” the OK! source explains. “She’s met Prince William in the past, but befriending Meghan is her top priority .” By the end of this year, we may have a new Taylor Swift album on our hands. When the artist is not begging and pleading with Markle to meet her for a meal, she’s allegedly been holed up in a studio, cranking out fresh tracks. We can’t wait to hear them, but we really can’t wait to see whether or not Markle joins up with Swift in the near future. View Slideshow: Taylor Swift Albums: The Definitive Countdown! In the end, if may come down to a decision for Markle: Does she marry Harry and join The Royal Family? Or does she pretend to be tight with Swift in order to pose for pictures that she can caption with the hashtag #SquadGoals? It’s a tough one. Which would YOU choose?

Blac Chyna … well, to say she's had an event past few months would be a serious understatement. Since November, she's given birth to her second child , she's broken up with Rob Kardashian, got back together with him, then broke up with him again. She allegedly got into a physical altercation with him , and there's a chance she could be rekindling their relationship to get more of that Kardashian money. Chyna's had so many ups and downs recently, but there's one thing about her that's just plain going down. And that, friends, is her weight. Yes, even though she's been dealing with so much, she's still been able to focus on her goal of losing the weight she gained while pregnant with Dream. When she gave birth, she was up to 192 pounds, but she said time and again that her goal was to get back down to 130. And last night, she revealed that she's down to 141 pounds — that's 51 pounds lost since November, and just 11 more to go before she's at her goal weight. But that's not all she revealed yesterday. She also revealed THAT BODY. She shared this saucy little video showing off her tiny waist, as well as that trademarked Blac Chyna booty. And girl is looking amazing. See Chyna's progress in the video below:
WARNING : The following story is likely to make your blood boil. Shannon Watts – a mother of five from Colorado and founder of pro-gun control organization Moms Demand Action – shared on Twitter Sunday that young passengers getting on board a flight from Denver to Minneapolis were not allowed down the walkway unless they changed outfits. Two girls in particular, one of whom was 10 years old, were barred from boarding because they were wearing leggings. They had to actually cover up more and wait for the next flight to Minnesota. The incident has gone viral – with everyone from People Magazine to The New York Times picking it up – and United responded to Watts on Twitter by writing that they “have the right to refuse transport for passengers who are barefoot or not properly clothed.” As used in this context, that response has not sat well with many people on social media, including quite a few you've probably heard of… 1. The Opening Tweets This is how Watts alerted social media to the situation. 2. The United Response The airline checked and said the passengers in question appeared to be family members of employees and were therefore held to a high standard, per company bylaws. 3. Patricia Arquette Responds @united Leggings are business attire for 10 year olds. Their business is being children. 4. And Chrissy Teigen I have flown united before with literally no pants on. Just a top as a dress. Next time I will wear only jeans and a scarf. 5. And Sarah Silverman Hey @united I fly a LOT. About to go on tour all April and changing all my @united flights to other airlines. 6. And Andy Richter .@united I have flown numerous times while displaying an egregious mooseknuckle. School District Agrees To Pay $450K Settlement Over Racial Discrimination Against 3 Former Students Racist school districts should be on high alert — it doesn’t pay to be shady. The families of Jamal Welch, Elijah West and Tyrell Wells are all several hundred thousand dollars richer after University Place School District has opted to settle a lawsuit by young men and their parents that included allegations of racial discrimination. According to the News Tribune reports the school district will pay the families a total of $450,000 to settle a lawsuit the young men and their parents filed in 2015. Legal documents filed by the plaintiffs, who are African-American, claim the three young men faced racial name-calling, discriminatory grading practices and other forms of harassment while they were students at Curtis High School in Washington State. The boys’ parents say when they complained to school officials about how their children were mistreated they were either ignored or rebuffed. Documents filed in the lawsuit describe Curtis High as a toxic environment where the plaintiffs were regularly caled the “n-word” by other students and the boys had to focus on “surviving each and every school day without having a mental or emotional reaction.” According to state education stats, under 10 percent of the more than 1,400 students at Curtis High are black. One incident describes how Wells told a teacher that a racial slur had been written on his desk, “As time went on, he would erase the slur, then someone would re-write it,” documents claim. In a written declaration to the court Welch spoke about the effects of what he experienced at Curtis: “To this day, I have lingering stress and anxiety from my Curtis experience. While before I was easygoing and trusting of people, now I find that I hang back and analyze people before trusting them. I also am more defensive than I used to be, and feel like I need to justify or explain who I am since I learned at Curtis that people have stereotypes and biases against me.” The legal documents also describe how West’s mom tried to help her son, who was being marked down for missing assignments that he’d turned in, by electronically scanning his assignments and emailing them to the teacher before they were due, only to have the assignments still be marked as missing, according to court documents. Another disturbing incident described in the legal documents recounts how a teacher, Karen Macy, wrote her address on the board during a lesson on giving directions in sign language. When students teased her, joking that they might egg her house if they knew her home address, she responded with words to the effect that “no one would do that, except for (Wells,) because he’s black,” according to court documents. Macy resigned from her position in 2014. While the settlement speaks volumes to US, the school district will walk away from the lawsuit without admitting any wrongdoing because the legal agreement states that it’s a settlement of disputed claims, not an admission of liability by the school district. The settlement agreement also bars either side from commenting about the case to the media. Welch, Wells and West are all over 18 now and have left the school district. Do you think $450,000 is enough? Too much? How many of you experienced things like this at your schools? BigStockPhoto

A Springfield, Illinois police officer is going viral after a video shows him arguing and beating up on an unruly teenager. The video looks like something out of a bad movie with the way the officer is going head up with the kid ultimately pounding away on the boy’s dome. (Springfield Police Department) Reports say the police were called to a resident for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, the police were confronted by an aggitated teenager. You can see officer Samuel A. Rosario telling his comrade not to arrest him…and they didn’t. Instead, the 32-yr-old cop thought it was appropriate to beat up the 19-yr-old punk. Rosario was heard saying “you ain’t about that life, kid” at the end of the beating. Rosario has since been arrested for the Feb. 27th incident. The full 15 minute video is on the next page.
