Rayne Burse: Black Model Accosted By Racist Neighbor, Records Everything

Rayne Burse is my new favorite person. The aspiring model was taking her dog, Mojito for a walk near her fiance's home, when a woman in a striped shirt with a towel wrapped around her waist started approaching. ” I saw her coming out of her back door,” Burse told Huffington Post . “I was talking with my mom on my phone but her on hold to tell the woman, ‘I’m sorry if I’m trespassing,’ and then move away.” Burse had just moved into the neighborhood, and had never seen Dorrbecker before.   “I think she was pretty racist and she was just mad that I was in her area,” she said of Maria Dorrbecker, 63. “But at the same time, I worried that she might have been just some old woman with dementia or schizophrenia or something.”   The woman started pointing her finger in Burse's face, to the point where Burse had to end the call with her mom and record what was happening. Burse managed to keep her composure while asking Dorrbecker why she was so offended by Burse walking her dog, when she wasn't even on private property. “Because you’re part of south Miami,” Dorrbecker said, threatening to “report” Burse. When Dorrbecker reached for Burse's phone, Burse reacted. “I was taught to respect your elders, but I was trying to deescalate the situation before I turned on the camera, but she shut that down,” she said A scuffle ensued, and Burse gave her dog the command, “Move Mojito” (which is now a trending hashtag) before both women went their separate ways and called 911. When the police arrived, Burse showed the video, it was decided that she was simply defending herself. ““One [cop] asked if I wanted to press charges. At first, I said no, because I wanted to be rid of it. They were like, ‘Are you sure?’” Dorrbecker was ultimately charged with simple battery. “I defended myself,” Burse told Miami New Times . “Don’t try to put your hands on somebody and expect them to react cordially, especially if you were aggressive before that and they were trying constantly to resolve the situation… You’re asking for it at that point.”

Beyonce Inspires Most Epic Prom Entrance of All-Time

Azja Frazier has officially raised the prom bar. In a video that has gone viral for totally awesome and understandable reasons, this high school student eschewed the concept of simple photos with her prom date prior to the pair leaving for their big dance. Instead, she adorned her porch with black and yellow column balloons… she rolled out a red carpet… she called a huge audience to her yard… and she enlisted two of her friends to imitate the choreography from Beyonce's “Formation” music video. The footage was shared on dancer’s Floyd D. Wimberly Facebook page and has racked up over three million views in just a couple days. Wimberly is at the center of the footage, emerging through fringe in white pants and a black top. After several seconds, he launches into Bey's “Formation” choreography, nailing every move perfectly, prior to walking down the steps to make room for a second dancer. Eventually, Frazier herself makes a smoke-filled entrance. And it's awesome! The teenage, who lives in Illinois, told BuzzFeed News she hired Wimberly after seeing some of his dances online. According to his Facebook page, he's done the “Formation” prom entrance at least twice before, and has also performed Bey's “Diva” for a sendoff. “I wanted something to entertain my guests while they were waiting on me to come out,” Frazier told BuzzFeed. “Also, I loved the song and I felt like it was a moment when I slayed … I felt like it was my day to shine.” It totally was, Azja. And shine you did! Check out the impressive footage below:

BOSSIP Exclusive: 2 Chainz’s “Thot’s” Second $8 Mill Defamation Suit Thrown Out!!

Christine Chisholm’s $8 Million Lawsuit Against 2 Chainz Dismissed 2 Chainz scored a legal victory against the woman who said he humiliated her when he branded her a “thot” in an online video. A judge Tuesday granted 2 Chainz’s request to toss Christine Chisholm’s lawsuit, which accused the rapper of defamation, invasion of privacy, emotional distress and unfair or deceptive trade practices for releasing his song “Watch Out,” which she said threatened her life, and to caused her to be harassed in her hometown of Charlotte. Chisholm  unsuccessfully sued 2 Chainz in 2015 for leaking a 2014 viral vid of her backstage at his concert under the hastag, #IzThatYoThot, and allegedly threatening her afterwards. But Chisholm said the new suit was based on several instances of harassment, violence and intimidation from the rapper’s goons after he released “Watch Out.” The woman said since 2 Chainz dropped “Watch Out,” his associates brandished a gun at her, tried to run her over and shot up cars that were parked at her family’s home. 2 Chainz argued in court papers that Chisholm didn’t have a leg to stand on in the suit because she’d already sued him – and lost – last year in local courts. The judge agreed, and ruled that Chisholm’s case was a no go because her recent claims were based on what happened during her original “thot” suit, and she should have raised them in that litigation.

Eighth-Grade Black Metalhead Kids Unlocking The Truth Star In New Emotional Documentary

Black Metalhead Kids Unlocking The Truth Star In New Emotional Documentary We’ve written about these young guys before but the metal trio is now set to star in their own documentary according to Rolling Stone Magazine reports: Unlocking the Truth, a metal band composed of three African-American seventh graders, is the subject of the acclaimed documentary Breaking a Monster. The music doc follows the unlikely trio – Alec Atkins, Malcolm Brickhouse and Jarad Dawkins – that scored a $1.8 million record deal with Sony Music Entertainment . Breaking a Monster was directed by Luke Meyer, who follows the middle school metalheads around from the moment their first video went viral on YouTube. But like many young performers who stumble upon sudden success, the road to fame is fraught with uneasy demands, stress from parents and friends and tough life decisions. “Originally I was asked to make a short film about the band when they were still gaining traction as street performers,” Meyer told film website IndieWire. “The short focused on what it’s like to be young and have unrestricted dreams about who you want to be in the world. In the case of Unlocking the Truth, because they’re so talented, those dreams didn’t feel as far-reaching as they might for some other kids.” The highly-anticipated movie will be released this summer nationwide starting with a June 24 release in New York City and a July 1 release in Los Angeles.

Cincinnati Zoo Parents: Will They Be Charged in Murder of Harambe?

The verdict is in. About a week after officials at the Cincinnati Zoo shot and killed a gorilla named Harambe because they feared it would injure a toddler who had fallen into its enclosure, we now have legal closure on the case that has captivated the nation. The parents of said toddler will not be charged with any kind of crime. Hamilton County prosecutor Joe Deters announced on Monday morning that Michelle Gregg was NOT negligent when her three-year-old boy strayed from her watch the Cincinnati Zoo. Many on the Internet have been calling for Gregg’s head  ever since the video below went viral: Cincinnati Zoo Gorilla Killed to Save Toddler’s Life: Who’s to Blame? It depicts the 17-year old, 450-pound gorilla throwing the child all around. Did Harambe mean the infant harm? Maybe not. But when you have this kind of size and strength discrepancy, there’s simply no way of knowing what would have happened… and no way the zoo could have taken any chances. In making his ruling, Deters pointed out Gregg had three other kids with her at the time one of her sons ended up in the animal’s clutches. Moreover, based on surveillance footage and witnesses at the scene, she was being attentive. Accidents simply happen. Deters explained very simply that “kids can scamper off and they do.” He added, in sort of hilarious fashion, that if Gregg had been “in the bathroom smoking crack that would have been a different story, but that’s not what happened.” Deters concluded by saying “there’s nothing that the mother could have done” and also defended the zoo’s difficult decision in putting Harambe down. The lawyer labeled this a “painful choice” for officials to make, however: “It’s still an animal. It does not equate to human life.” View Slideshow: Harambe Mourned, Celebrated by Celebrities Everywhere
