20-year old LSU Basketball star Wayde Sims was murdered near Southern University’s football stadium on Friday after an altercation outside of a Subway restaurant. The Daily Mail reports: Police in Louisiana on Friday released a cellphone video depicting a fight that resulted in the fatal shooting of LSU basketball player Wayde Sims overnight. The Baton Rouge Police Department released the footage in an effort to locate the man seen towards the end of the video wearing red pants with a white stripe down the leg and a gray shirt. Sims suffered a gunshot wound at around 12.25am, Baton Rouge police said in a news release. The shooting happened at the Subway sandwich shop at 668 Harding Boulevard located across from Southern’s A.W. Mumford Stadium, The Advocate reported. A witness told the news station WAFB that he was near the Subway overnight when heard a scuffle, followed by one or two gunshots. He was taken to a hospital and died from his wounds, Sgt. Don Coppola Jr. said. Baton Rouge Police are still searching for other people in the video to question them about the tragic incident. SMH.

Stevie Wonder Responds To Bill Cosby’s Prison Sentencing Stevie Wonder is not happy about Bill Cosby ‘s sentencing, y’all…not happy at all. On Tuesday, September 25, the famed actor was sentenced to 3 to 10 years in state prison for the 2004 drugging and sexual assault of Andrea Constand. Cosby, being the medically ill celebrity he is, was given a single cell to start out with, but the prison’s long-term goal is to get him into general population, slumming it like everyone else, CBS News reports. After all his rights were stripped eweh, everybody and their mama has had something to say about Cosby , taking to social media to share their thoughts on whether or not he did it, the timing of the allegations, and if he should be imprisoned at the ripe old age of 81. Stevie Wonder is the latest to chime in with his two cents and it doesn’t sound like he thinks his ol’ pal should be in jail. Stevie was leaving LAX on Tuesday, right after the actor’s sentencing, when he told TMZ that he’s praying for Cosby. The icon even spoke on how much an inspiration Cosby has been to those around him—you know, besides the drugs and sexual assault and all… “You know what? I just pray for everybody,” Stevie started out. When asked if he thought a sentencing of 3 to 10 years was fair, Stevie responded “I don’t like prisons.” When asked if he thought Cosby should’ve went to prison at all, he responded “I respect the work that he’s done and his career as an artist…I think he inspired a lot of people…and I just pray that God will give him mercy.” Fair enough? Or, should Stevie have taken a tougher stance, as Cosby was deemed a “sexually violent predator?” In an earlier report, TMZ stated that Cosby’s new digs are in a maximum security prison where he will be allowed phone calls and visitation “consistent with prison policies.” In other words, he is locked UP up .
Nicki Minaj has made several enemies out of female rappers, and no one’s holding their tongue (or shoe) these days. Tiffany Foxx sat down with Ts Madison on The Queen’s Supreme Court and revealed her own personal story of the time Nicki allegedly stopped her from being nominated for an award and walking the red carpet. She said, “She doesn’t want to look like she’s hating, or being emotional or pressed, so she does just enough so it’ll make it like she supports somebody. Don’t be bitter and don’t be hating on other girls. I’m not saying this just because the masses is saying this. Nicki has definitely interrupted me being on red carpets. Times I’m suppose to be nominated — out of no where, it’s a problem. And it gets back to me that it’s affiliated with her.” Back in 2013 when Foxx aligned herself with Lil Kim in the midst of Kim’s beef with Nicki, Tiffany made it clear that she had nothing against Minaj and even praised her for being talented. My, oh my how things change.
