#JusticeForLucca: 3 Florida Cops Charged For Punching And Pepper Spraying 15-Year-Old At McDonald’s

We’ve reported on the #JusticeForLucca movement since its inception back in April when a viral video of Broward County, Florida cops attacking the 15-year-old circulated the internet. Today, we get the news that we don’t often get when it comes to cops abusing their authority, criminal charges. According to ABCNews , the three officers involved in the brutality, Gregory LaCerra, 51, and Christopher Krickovich, 29, and 49-year-old Ralph Mackey were all charged. LaCerra and Krickovich were indicted for the physical assault as well as falsifying records in the cover-up. Mackey was charged separately with falsifying records and conspiracy. All three men have been suspended WITHOUT pay. Civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump is representing Lucca’s family and had this response to the happy news: “Wearing a badge is not a license to hurt children and then lie about it — with these charges, the world can now see clearly that is what happened,” the attorneys told WPLG in statement after the charges were announced. “The fact that the officers were charged with falsifying records and conspiracy to falsify records is rare, and it may represent a new trend in accountability for law enforcement officials.” Now let’s just see if the charges stick before we get too excited…

Boosie Ordered To Pay $230K To The Same Security Guard Who Pepper Sprayed Him

The Baton Rouge rapper has been ordered to pay six figures to the same security guard who pepper sprayed him and his security back in 2017 . It turns out that the fade Boosie and his team blessed said security with is going to cost the rapper a cool $233,000. Reports the Sun Herald : Baton Rouge rapper Boosie Badazz has been ordered to pay $233,128.54 to security officer Glen Kerley, who said in U.S. District Court on Tuesday that he was the one assaulted when a melee erupted outside Dillard’s at Edgewater Mall during black spring break 2017. U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola Jr. entered a default judgment because Boosie failed to show up in court and has not responded to court pleadings since his attorney withdrew from the case in March. After 10 minutes of testimony from Kerley, Guirola found that Boosie and a security guard, Larry Anderson, intentionally assaulted Kerley. Kerley is still receiving treatment for the concussion and neck injuries he suffered when Boosie, Anderson and a crowd jumped on Kerley after he pepper sprayed them to get them out of the department store. “I basically went to the ground and lost consciousness,” said Kerley, who sued Boosie and Anderson for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence and civil conspiracy. Boosie and Anderson actually did countersue, but never pursued their claim. Of course, this is difficult to when you no longer have a lawyer on the case. Kerley made sure to mention that Boosie was one of the people who allegedly put hands on him. As for the breakdown of what Boosie is paying:   $24,422.14 for medical expenses   $706.40 in lost wages.   $100,000 in punitive damages   $58,000 in attorney’s fees.   And post-judgment interest. Bruh…

The “Thotiana” star was recorded booting his mother and sister in a video where he accused them of clout chasing and has released the full video of the altercation while stating his sister tried to fleece him for bread. As had been teased for several days heading into Sunday night, the final installment for many months of this E! reality series took us back in time… … to Khloe Kardashian's lowest point as a famous human being. We watched in horror as Khloe learned the details of then-boyfriend Tristan Thompson making out with then-close friend Jordyn Woods, exploding over the phone at one point and breaking down into a pool of tears at many other points. Dunham—who teaches at a school that serves students who live in underserved communities—treated his fifth-grade class to haircuts before their graduation ceremony, CBS 6 reported. Robert Dunham just had a feeling before he went to work at Carver Elementary School in Richmond.​ https://t.co/EXeeunXRmg — WTVR CBS 6 Richmond (@CBS6) June 13, 2019 The Carver Elementary School teacher wanted to do something special for his class before they moved on to middle school. Aware of the fact that several students may not be able to get haircuts before graduation, he decided to take his clippers to school and transform his classroom into a mock barbershop to provide them with haircuts. Dunham says he wanted them to feel confident and empowered on their special day. “When I go to the barbershop, when I get a haircut, you feel good, you look good, you’ve got that confidence starting to come out of you,” he said in a statement, according to the news outlet. “I want every one of my students to be confident today. This is their special day.” School faculty members captured images of Dunham’s act of kindness and his story went viral. “Our jobs require more than teaching at Carver,” Dionyah Randolph , a teacher at the school, told WRIC Richmond . “We service many students who live in disadvantaged communities, so it’s our duty to put their needs first; everything else comes second.” Individuals across the country have been stepping up to support graduates from underserved communities, whether it be paying off their lunch debt so that they can walk across the graduation stage and receive their hard-earned diplomas or providing them with outfits for prom and graduation. Most recently a Black-owned barbershop in North Carolina raised money to help high school seniors pay off their debt. The owners were inspired by billionaire Robert F. Smith ’s vow to eliminate the student loan debt of Morehouse College’s entire 2019 graduating class.
