Angie Martinez Reveals She Had A Fight With Wendy Williams Angie Martinez just released her personal memoir, “My Voice: A Memoir” where she drops all sorts of tidbits about her life and career, including her days at HOT 97 in New York. But one particularly juicy tidbit she shares in the memoir is the time she beat the brakes off of Wendy Williams for putting out gay rumors about her man. Apparently Angie was already agitated at Wendy’s schtick of constantly calling out every man in the industry as an “undercover brother: “Everybody was gay to Wendy. Every rapper you could think of in that era, I had heard Wendy Williams call them gay. Not one or two. Like every one of them.” But isht REALLY hit the fan when Wendy threw shade at Angie and her then-boyfriend Q-Tip on her website, allegedly writing “One of my co-workers is dating Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest. Oh well. I guess some women like men who like men.” Naturally, Angie had enough and decided to square up with Wendy one-on-one — at work, no less. “I lost my f–king mind. Before I knew it I was swinging at her. It was a quick scuffle. It took only a few seconds for me to realize that she wasn’t really hitting me back — she was just trying to get me off of her.” A coworker stepped in and broke up the mini-melee…but Wendy took it upon herself to defend herself. Apparently she grabbed a mop and, according to Angie: “[She] just stood there with it like she wanted to have some sort of sword fight or something. It was actually kind of funny, even in the moment.” Angie says Wendy had it coming one way or another…and it was bound to happen with her mouth. But nowadays, she doesn’t feel any sort of way about the talk show host… “The truth is that if it wasn’t me it was gonna be somebody else,” Angie wrote. “She was disrespectful to so many people all the time. I watch her TV talk show sometimes and she has really mastered her lane. I find myself watching and laughing out loud. I don’t have any ill feelings toward her.” Damn! Funny thing is, a lot of disgruntled celebs STILL want to punch Wendy in the face right now today. SMH. Secondly, not all Hispanics eat tacos. Thirdly, showing your sensitivity by eating an American dish is the most insensitive thing you can do. Following The Voice results of the previous four weeks, only eight singers remained heading into Tuesday’s intense semifinals elimination. Eight singers … soon to be only four. Four! Oh yes, The Voice ‘s epic bloodbath of a semifinal results show claimed four victims and left only the strongest quartet in the running. As you know, Christina, Pharrell, Adam and Blake could only sit back, watch, hope, pray and urge Voice fans to back the right people. Did they? Let’s break down The Voice results … It came down to a very suspenseful Twitter save as three very strong contestants had to sing for their lives to move on to the finale. The first two contestants to advance to the final four were Team Blake’s Adam Wakefield and Team Christina singer Alisan Porter. No surprise there, certainly, for the favorites. Meanwhile, Team Adam’s Shalyah Fearing and Team Blake’s Paxton Ingram comprised the bottom two and automatically went home. Beyond that, it was anyone’s game. Hannah Huston, in a minor shocker, made it to the top three, leaving Laith Al-Saadi, Mary Sarah, and Bryan Bautista on the precipice. That set up the craziest Twitter Save battle ever, with Mary taking on Carrie Underwood’s “Something in the Water” in her final effort. Bryan took on Miguel’s “Adorn,” while Laith put together a strong rendition of the Jimi Hendrix version of “All Along the Watchtower.” Laith earned 48 percent of the instant tweets to Bryan’s 30 and Mary’s 22, advancing to the final four and providing us a new twist: For the first time, all four of the superstar coaches will be represented by one singer remaining in the grand finale!
