The coaches’ role on The Voice is over (voting role, that is … we still have their smiling faces and banter to look forward to). It’s all in America’s hands. When the top 10 took the stage on The Voice Monday night for your votes, we didn’t know quite what we’d see, but there were some definite favorites. NBC is about to announce some news that is totally bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Bananas: Gwen Stefani will take over for Christina Aguilera as a judge on Season 7 of The Voice. The network itself is yet to confirm the switch, but sources tell TMZ that Aguilera will be too far along in her pregnancy (8-9 months) by the time the Season 7 Battle Rounds begin to effectively participate. Enter the former No Doubt singer. She’ll swoop down into a fancy red chair in June when new episodes start filming. Stefani’s deal is only for one season and Aguilera hopes to be back for Season 8. Miley Cyrus backed out of a concert at the very last moment last night. A rep for the artist confirms that Cyrus came down with a case of the flu and was forced to postpone a show in Charlotte as a result, just 30 minutes prior to when it was scheduled to begin. “Due to illness, Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” tour date scheduled for tonight, April 7, Time Warner Cable Arena Charlotte has been cancelled,” read a statement in response to the incident. “Cyrus has been diagnosed with flu and doctors have ordered her to rest. She will not be able to perform as scheduled. Refunds for Charlotte tickets will be available at the point of ticket purchase. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be automatically refunded.” According to the same statement, Miley will perform tonight in Raleigh. The singer has had a very tough week. Her dog, Floyd, was killed by a coyote and Cyrus has been openly been in “unbearable pain” over the tragedy. She actually sang to a statue of the dog in Brooklyn over the weekend and has wondered via Twitter whether she’ll ever be able to love again . Often crying in concert over the past few days, Cyrus has said the tears have negatively affected her voice. You won’t believe this, but a Dallas man who sent a resume, job application, and photograph of his penis to a Texas company did not get the position. He is, however, in a precarious legal position as a result. He faces a misdemeanor charge for his trouble, as the recipients were apparently unamused. The man was hilariously applying for a position at Texas Workforce Solutions, a company devoted to, of all things, preparing clients for the workplace. When a 25-year-old employee of the organization received the guy’s application and unique letter of recommendation (so to speak), she promptly called police. They tracked his application, which had been sent from a personal email and issued the man a ticket for “obscene display or distribution,” a class C misdemeanor. A spokesperson for the Dallas Police Department confirmed this actually happened , and said that as far as he can tell, the man is still unemployed. “I think I know why he can’t find a job,” he reportedly told the Dallas Observer . Yeah.
