You killed my husband” as Maryland State Police subdued her following an officer-involved shooting that left a 30-year-old man dead in a Walmart parking lot Friday night. The Cecil Daily reports that Charles S. Hall was shot and killed by Trooper Daryl K. Brackett, a three-year veteran of the force who claimed he recognized Hall and knew there was a warrant out for his arrest. According to State Police spokesperson Greg Shipley, Brackett attempted to arrest Hall but Hall allegedly resisted and fought with the trooper before getting into his vehicle and attempting to take off. Jill Dillard shared a photo of her baby son Israel snuggled up with his father, Derick Dillard, for a bedtime story. One might call it the most epic story ever: The Bible. Jill, 24, captioned the photo “#bibletime with papa,” as little Israel, dressed in a blue and white onesie, looks on peacefully, and totally transfixed. It looks to be a kids’ version of the Bible, obviously, as the pages are a tad thicker and less numerous than standard adult versions of the Book. A little tranquility and inner calm certainly can’t hurt, given how difficult things have been in the Duggar (and Dillard) household in recent weeks. The two married Duggar girls initially took a step away from social media, electing instead to speak out about the situation on Fox News. Now they are back, doing their online thing and taking slow steps to reenter the Instagram and Twitter-verse where they were once ubiquitous. Jill celebrated Israel’s 2-month birthday last week, while Jessa Duggar baby bump photos and sonogram videos have popped up on Instagram. Derick, meanwhile, has made headlines of his own. Initial reports indicated that Dillard was fired by Walmart in the wake of the Josh Duggar scandal (which he had absolutely nothing to do with). Tracy Morgan To Appear On The Today Show For First Time Since Car Accident Welcome back, Tracy . Via THR Tracy Morgan is finally ready to return to television. The Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock alum will appear on Monday’s Today show, in his first TV interview since he was critically injured in a car crash last June. Morgan will be interviewed by Matt Lauer live in Today’s Rockefeller Center studios and will be joined by his lawyer Benedict Morelli. Apart from a few written statements sent out by Morgan’s team and paparazzi photos that have emerged since the incident, Morgan essentially hasn’t been seen or heard from since the accident. He had hoped to make it to SNL’s 40th anniversary special in February, but he wasn’t able to attend. Still, Morgan’s 30 Rock co-stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin paid tribute to him from the stage. The news of Morgan’s first interview comes a day after he reached a confidential settlement in a lawsuit he filed against Walmart over the crash, which occurred on the New Jersey Turnpike early in the morning on June 7, 2014. Tracy Morgan Settles Civil Lawsuit With Walmart For Fatal Accident How big a check do you think they had to write Tracy Morgan ? Via ABCNews Walmart has agreed to settle a civil lawsuit brought by comedian Tracy Morgan, ABC News has learned. The terms of the proposed settlement were not disclosed, and will need to be approved by a federal judge in New Jersey, where the case was filed. A representative for Morgan did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Last June, Morgan, 46, was involved in a serious accident on the New Jersey Turnpike after a Walmart truck slammed into the limo van in which he was traveling. The comedian sustained a brain injury, as well as a broken leg, nose and ribs. Three others were injured as well, and his friend, comedian James McNair, died. “He’s still fighting and trying to live his life at the same time and trying to get better, and he’s just not better,” Morgan’s lawyer, Benedict Morelli, said last November. “We’re hoping and praying to get him back to where he was. James McNair’s Family Paid $10 Million By Walmart For His Death In Tracy Morgan Car Crash ‘Bout damn time! Via DNAifno The family of a comedian friend of Tracy Morgan who was killed last June when a Wal-Mart truck crashed into a luxury van he was riding in got $10 million from the retail giant to settle a lawsuit, DNAinfo New York has learned. Wal-Mart made the large payout to the family of James McNair to avoid potential losses from litigation, the McNair family’s lawyer said in court papers. Under the settlement, McNair’s two children, Jamel, 26, and Denita, 19, will split the payout after their lawyer, Daryl Zaslow, takes a nearly $3 million cut, according to court records. The children had sued Wal-Mart after one of its trucks slammed into a limousine van carrying McNair, Morgan and other comedians on the New Jersey Turnpike on June 7, 2014. New Jersey police charged the truck’s driver, Kevin Roper, with death by automobile and four other vehicle assault charges. The McNairs signed the settlement in October, but the deal wasn’t announced until January. At the time, the terms of the settlement were not revealed because of a confidentiality agreement both sides signed. But legal documents filed last month in Westchester Surrogate’s Court revealed the big payout to James McNair’s estate — and that Wal-Mart did not want the settlement sum publicized for fear it would hurt business.
