He had decorated his apartment that I bought him years ago. He had gotten a new job with a prominent real estate company in California, [which] he was very happy with.” Page Six reports: At the time of the death, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office told Fox News that Craig Turner died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Studio City, California. He was 59. The 78-year-old music icon said in the interview that she suspects her son, who typically was a loner himself, suffered from loneliness before his death. The topic came up after she was praised for her strength in overcoming kidney failure, a stroke and cancer – a strength that may be founded in being fearless. “Death is not a problem for me,” she said. “I really don’t mind leaving.” SEE ALSO: Tina Turner Reveals That Her Husband Was The Donor For A Life-Saving Kidney Transplant Craig’s unfortunate death is a sensitive subject for Turner, but she’s come to accept the reality, is content with her own fate to come, and plans “to be around for a while.” Watch: Simply the best! I n a tight race to be Georgia’s next governor , an apparent Republican attempt to shame Democratic nominee Stacey Abrams for participating in the burning of Georgia’s racist flag back in college has backfired. Abrams, who would become the nation’s first Black woman governor if elected, defended her actions. See Also: 5 Things To Watch For In Georgia’s First Governor Debate Between Stacey Abrams And Brian Kemp An image from a 1992 Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper clip of the demonstration suddenly surfaced on social media on Monday night — the eve of Abrams’ first debate against her GOP rival Brian Kemp — the New York Times reported. When @staceyabrams was at @SpelmanCollege , the Georgia state flag still had the Confederate emblem in its design. She exercised her First Amendment rights by helping to burn it on the state capitol steps. Good for her. I’d have set that thing on fire, too. https://t.co/zOyZ2kHjFl — Jamil Smith (@JamilSmith) October 23, 2018 The picture shows Abrams, during the end of her freshman year at Spelman College, burning the flag alongside two other African-American demonstrators. Abrams’ campaign confirmed to the Times that she indeed participated in the protest against the Confederate symbol on the flag. “During Stacey Abrams’ college years, Georgia was at a crossroads, struggling with how to overcome racially divisive issues, including symbols of the Confederacy, the sharpest of which was the inclusion of the Confederate emblem in the Georgia state flag,” a statement from the campaign read. “This conversation was sweeping across Georgia as numerous organizations, prominent leaders, and students engaged in the ultimately successful effort to change the flag.” Right. Georgia changed its state flag in order to emblazon it with the Confederate flag after Brown v. Board in order to send a message to its black citizens about what white leadership felt about their rights. Blk ATL mayors refused to fly it. So. Yeah. https://t.co/purCKgneij — Ida Bae Wells (@nhannahjones) October 23, 2018 The demonstration happened when then-governor Zell Miller made his first unsuccessful bid to remove the controversial Confederate symbol from the state flag, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution . Georgia’s last Democratic governor, Roy Barnes , successfully authorized a redesign of the flag in 2001—a move that contributed to his political defeat in 2002. Abrams’ opposition to Confederate symbols will likely become a debate topic on Tuesday night. Kemp has vowed to protect Confederate monuments. Night three of the Battle Rounds brought more of the same Monday night: The wrong people being sent home. Well, mostly. As is becoming the norm with this series, the coaches are keeping the people around they think viewers are tuning in for. But who went home? Find out below. Team Blake: Dave Fenley vs. Keith Paluso – “I’m a One-Woman Man” It was clear from the get-go that this was Dave’s competition to lose. Keith was all over the place in rehearsals, forgetting things and just coming across as though he could care less. When the performance actually kicked off, both men started well, but Keith quickly faltered, leaving Dave to take the whole thing. As expected, Blake opted to stick with Dave as opposed to Keith, but Adam gave Keith a reprieve. The issue here is that Keith is not doing very well, and Adam could be setting himself up for failure. Time will tell. Team Adam: Reagan Strange vs. Emily Hough – “Photograph” These two girls became friends thanks to the process and didn’t want to battle one another, but they don’t get to pick the rules. While they started the battle well, Reagan quickly towered above her competitor, but that’s not to say Emily was bad. There was a lot to like about her voice, but Adam went with his gut and kept Reagan in the competitive loop. Team Jennifer: Franc West vs. Matt Johnson – “Too Close” This battle was the closest of the night. Franc and Matt have distinctly different voices, but they both killed it during their battle. Matt definitely had the edge, but Jennifer opted to send him home. Team Kelly: Abby Cates vs. Delaney Silvernell – “Love Me Like You Do” Delaney continued to struggle with her nerves during the rehearsals, and Kelly wondered whether they would be addressed by the time the show actually kicked off. Unfortunately, they were not, and it resulted in a shaky performance that allowed Abby the time she needed to shine. Kelly kept Abby in the game, and Adam decided to give Delaney another shot, presumably because he knew there was a star in there somewhere. Team Adam: Jake Wells vs. Natalie Brady – “Closing Time” Jake wondered why he was paired with Natalie because they had different appearances. Natalie was just happy to still be in the game, so she continued to sing. When put together, they were probably on the same level, but that was not enough to keep them both there. Jake secured the win, and there was no steal for Natalie. Team Jennifer: Tyshawn Colquitt vs. Zaxai – “Love Lies” Tyshawn wowed everyone with his audition and continued to excel during this final battle of the night. Zaxai was solid, but there was something about his vocals that were not up to par with Tyshawn’s. In any case, Jennifer stuck with Tyshawn while Kelly took on Zaxai. Shannon Beador has been battling to stay in control of her emotions throughout the most recent season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. With a messy divorce dragging her down, she’s been taking it out on her friends, and things went nuclear on Monday’s episode of the Bravo hit thanks to claims that her attitude, well, stinks. When the episode got underway, the ladies were still in Jamaica, and Gina Kirschenheiter was still going on about how Beador did not give their friendship a chance. If you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online , you know that Shannon has been distant from the new additions to the cast, and despite their best efforts to make friends with her, she’s shut them down at every turn. Tamra Judge, Vicki Gunvalson, Kelly Dodd, and Emily Simpson started to chat about Shannon’s wellbeing in her company, and things quickly got heated. “Are you serious? So we’re going to do a goddamn f—— straight-jacket intervention right now? Are you kidding me?” Beador yelled in her defense after being accused of turning to alcohol to cope with everything that’s going on. “I feel blindsided,” a clearly irate Beador complained as she tried to get away from the situation, and she did not want to be filmed. “I just need a minute. Stop, I mean it. Stop following me, I swear to God, I will take the mic off. You guys need to stop. … I need a minute, and I deserve it,” she continued to yell. As we’ve reported on several times, Judge felt like Shannon was neglecting her friendships as she has become absorbed by all the things going in her personal life. “I love Shannon, but the constant negativity and dwelling on things that really don’t matter is tiresome to me,” Judge explained in a confessional, adding: “We all have a hard time when we’re getting divorced. We all have outbursts, I did. But it’s been six months. She can’t keep treating people badly because she’s getting divorced.” “This has been months of buildup. She wants to bitch and complain all the time and not fix anything,” Judge continued. “In her head, she’s the busiest person in the world, and she doesn’t get it. She’s never worked. David took care of everything. … She cries every single night. … I’m legit 100 percent worried about her.” Always one to throw in her two cents, Vicki was there to stick the knife into her pal. “That was a big red flag for me … it just masks the pain,” Gunvalson stated when the others claimed she was using alcohol to mask her pain. “I think she needs us. … She should get on something because sometimes you can’t handle your feelings,” she continued. “When Don and I were going through our separation and divorce, I did go on an anti-depressant because I couldn’t function, I was crying so much. It got me through the bumps.” “It’s depression, she’s depressed,” added Dodd. “David must have been kind of a saint to stay up with that. She’s a good girl, and I think the world of her. But to have to deal with that day in and day out? It’s got to be draining,” she continued. “I only have to deal with Shannon on a friendship level. I couldn’t imagine being married to that and having to live with that every single day. It affects everybody.” When Tamra and Shannon actually got to chat about how they felt, Shannon was not willing to accept what happened. “I am so beyond hurt, Tamra,” Beador admitted after hearing that Gina and her friend were talking smack about her. “I drop everything to answer the phone. … I’m a kind friend, and I always want to help,” Shannon said in defense of her actions. “You have no idea what I go through on a daily basis; I don’t even share half the s— with you. Half.” “I hurt. I’m sensitive,” she said. “But I’m excited about my life, and I’ve let you guys know that, so don’t sit there and say I’m goddamn crying every night, ’cause I’m not.” Dodd chimed in, telling her friend to go on medication to help her, but that caused even more problems. “I’m not going on medication! I’m not doing it,” she shouted. “I am entitled to feel what I’ve been feeling. I’m entitled to feel my pain. … I am who I am, and I’m going through a lot of pain.” “And I get it; everybody’s going through a lot of pain. …[But] stop acting like I’m some goddamn mental case.” But Judge was not prepared to listen anymore. There’s only so many times you can try help someone who does not want to accept there’s something wrong. “Then cry every night, I don’t care anymore because nobody can help you,” Judge shrieked. “You don’t want to take any help. I’m trying to help you. Just listen. Stop screaming for one f—— time in your life and listen. Listen! You won’t listen!” “I can’t do this anymore,” Judge yelled at Beador. “You want to be sad your whole life, be sad your whole life. You don’t want any help, don’t get any help. I don’t give a s— anymore. … Nobody can help you. Nobody can give you any criticism. I’m trying to help you.” That was enough for Beador to realize the trip was a bust and she was done trying with the ladies, so she disappeared. “There’s nothing worse than to feel abandoned and hurt by your friends,” said a deeply concerned Vicki. “I want Shannon to know that I love her and that I’m there for her and she’s going to get through this.” Who knew Vicki was so friendly? But Gina did not seem to care about Shannon at all. “Why do we feel sad for Shannon?” she asked. “She’s got a lot of money. She’s got business deals. She’s got best friends. Okay, you’re 10 lbs. Overweight. Get over it; you’re not bed-ridden!” What are your thoughts on the big blow up? Hit the comments below. RHOC continues Monday on Bravo. Sorry, Sarah Silverman, but… … cum again? (Okay, truthfully, we’re sorry to our readers here.) The comedian has made some very gross headlines by appearing Monday morning on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show and speaking on her friendship with Louis C.K. Back in November, of course, C.K. was accused of five women of sexual misconduct. They all said that the famous stand-up jerked off in their presence , an allegation that C.K. later acknowledged as true . Talking to Stern, Silverman sort of defended her friend’s actions (or at least his mindset at the time of these actions) by telling a personal and disgusting story: “I don’t know if I’m going to regret saying this,” she said. “I’ve known Louis forever, I’m not making excuses for him, so please don’t take this that way. We are peers. We are equals. “When we were kids, and he asked if he could masturbate in front of me, sometimes I’d go, ‘F-c yeah I want to see that!’ … “It’s not analogous to the other women that are talking about what he did to them. He could offer me nothing. We were only just friends. “So sometimes, yeah, I wanted to see it, it was amazing. Sometimes I would say, ‘F-cking no, gross,’ and we got pizza.” Well… okay then. Not sure what else to say about that. C.K. pleasuring himself in front of a woman who admittedly wants him to do so is fine of course. Especially, as Silverman notes here, when the two people involved are peers. But C.K. pleasuring himself in front of women who did not give their consent and over whom he held power is unethical and wildly inappropriate. Silverman’s point here, however, is that C.K. may not have realized this upon yanking out his junk in front of his victims. “I’m not saying what he did was okay,” she said to Stern, explaining: “I’m just saying at a certain point, when he became influential, not even famous, but influential in the world of comedy, it changes. “He felt like he was the same person, but the dynamic was different and it was not okay.” It was definitely not okay. “I’m not saying everyone should embrace Louis again,” Silverman continued. “I believe he has remorse. I just want him to talk about it on stage. He’s going to have to find his way or not find his way.” Louis, of course, has now returned to the stage , despite many people thinking he hasn’t learned any lessons; suffered any consequences; or taking any steps to make anyone believe he regrets his actions. Said C.K. in a statement after the aforementioned five women came forward: These stories are true. At the time, I said to myself that what I did was O.K. because I never showed a woman my dick without asking first, which is also true. But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your dick isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them. The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly. I have been remorseful of my actions. And I’ve tried to learn from them. And run from them. Now I’m aware of the extent of the impact of my actions. One of the women who sat and watched C.K. masturbate said the experience discouraged her from pursuing a career in comedy. It ruined the entire entertainment industry for her. Concluded C.K. in his statement: I learned yesterday the extent to which I left these women who admired me feeling badly about themselves and cautious around other men who would never have put them in that position. I also took advantage of the fact that I was widely admired in my and their community, which disabled them from sharing their story and brought hardship to them when they tried because people who look up to me didn’t want to hear it.. There is nothing about this that I forgive myself for. And I have to reconcile it with who I am. Which is nothing compared to the task I left them with. I wish I had reacted to their admiration of me by being a good example to them as a man and given them some guidance as a comedian, including because I admired their work. The hardest regret to live with is what you’ve done to hurt someone else. And I can hardly wrap my head around the scope of hurt I brought on them… I’ve brought pain to my family, my friends, my children and their mother. I have spent my long and lucky career talking and saying anything I want. I will now step back and take a long time to listen. View Slideshow: Hollywood Sex Scandal: Who’s Been Caught? Accused? Despite Nev Schulman’s accuser filing a police report , they’re keeping him on Catfish , but the show is still looking for a new cohost. Many thought that Vanderpump Rules star Kristen Doute would be a shoe-in for a host of reasons. Nev laughed it off and basically called her a stalker, and Kristen is firing back. Max Joseph is out at Catfish . Nev Schulman, despite the sexual misconduct allegations against him, is still hosting the show. And he’s looking for someone else. Naturally, a lot of people suggested Vanderpump Rules star Kristen Doute. It’s not just that Kristen has been a fan of the show. Kristen has some real detective skills, as The Ashley notes, having exposed her cheating ex-boyfriend James Kennedy and tracked down Tom Sandoval’s “Miami Girl.” Using a common celebrity tactic, Kristen even drummed up support for the idea on Twitter, and a lot of fans loved the idea. But when the subject came up in a recent interview, Nev Schulman shot down the possibility in a deeply insulting way. “I’m even afraid to say her name, honestly,” Nev told Us Weekly . He joked about her fondness for Catfish , saying: “I almost feel like I need to take a restraining order out.” “Kristen really wants to be on the show,” Nev added. “I think she’s almost … she’s trying too hard!” Kristen Doute appeared on co-star Stassi Schroeder’s Straight Up With Stassi to respond. “I do not like ‘Catfish.’ I do not watch it,” Kristen shares. “I took it off my DVR.” Kristen says: “I tweeted Nev. I’ve tweeted Max before. I’ve tweeted at ‘Catfish.’ I definitely started my own hashtag: #KristenForCatfish.” “You know what, all of my wonderful followers on Twitter had my back and had that s–t trending real hard,” she notes. “They know that I’m right” for the job, she says, “because I’ve taught them so many things that you, Nev, did not.” “Everyone that I know — my team, my friends, the people who follow me — all contacted me like, ‘Kristen! He’s looking for a co-host!’” Krisen reveals. Her interest in the show was famous, so it’s natural that she would come to mind. “I thought it would be really fun to do one time,” Kristen explains. “I promote the s–t out of it and tell everyone to watch it.” Stassi reassures her that she did nothing wrong by being outspoken about her hopes. “That’s called manifesting,” Stassi notes. Kristen laments how Nev responded: “He was a complete a–hole about it.” If she just hadn’t gotten the role, that would be one thing. This rudeness is another matter. “I unfollowed everything,” Kristen says of things related to Catfish . “And I don’t watch the show anymore” She made this move “because that s–t [Nev said about me] was so beyond rude for someone who commends what you’ve done.” “He badmouthed me because he thinks he’s too f–king cool for school,” she theorizes. “He probably won’t even acknowledge this,” Kristen says. “But even if he wanted to say he was joking, it’s still f–king rude.” She is absolutely right. You can tell that Stassi is really heartbroken about this. “It breaks my heart because you’ve talked about this show for so long,” Stassi says supportively. “What do you want?” Kristen asks of Nv. “Do you want people to never speak about your show or be excited about it?” She has a very valid point. If you shame fans of your show for liking it … how do you expect other fans to feel? “It actually hurt my feelings,” Kristen admits. “And then it pissed me off.” View Slideshow: 13 Most Fiery Feuds In Vanderpump Rules History
