Meghan Markle Says She Has a "Long List" of Baby Names and the Internet Can Barely Handle It

Meghan Markle has just given the universe another reason to get excited. Days after the Duchess of Sussex and her handsome husband confirmed the amazing news that they’re expecting a child , Markle touched on the follow-up topic that has taken over social media. What will she and Harry name their impending bundle of joy? Will he or she receive a typically British or Royal moniker? Might the little one be named after a character on Suits, the USA Network legal drama that propeled Markle to fame? Could she and Harry surprise followers and go way outside the box somehow? During a top in Melbourne, Australia – for the third day of activities on the couple’s royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga – Markle addressed this pressing issue. When a 12-year-old named Charlie Wolf asked the Duchess if she’d picked out a name for the couple’s baby-to-be, Meghan did not come right out and reveal her and Harry’s decision. But she did say it’s a constant topic of conversation. Both between herself and her husband… and basically everyone else in the free world. “We’ve been given a long list of names from everyone,” Markle replied. We’re going to sit down and have a look at them.” She further noted that it was still very early and they hadn’t settled on anything. That’s fair, we suppose. Sources have claimed that Markle is not due to give birth until early May . She’s about 15 weeks along and doing “well,” these same sources have told the press. At a different point during this visit, the Suits alum opened up about how she spends her free time “relaxing and watching TV shows.” But when pressed for a favorite series, the retired actress noted demurred, simply responding: “There’s heaps, I can’t think of a specific one.” She’ll have plenty of time in the near future to sort through them all, too, once she gets a little too tired to travel and just props her feet up, awaiting the whole motherhood thing. “Harry is elated and beside himself,” a an tells Us Weekly. “Meghan is feeling amazing. She’s in great health so far.” Kate Middleton and Prince William, meanwhile, are on record as sayign they are “delighted” about the pregnancy, while even Meghan’s evil half-sister sounds pretty psyched about it. “I want Meghan to be happy… and have peace. Everybody needs to be positive,” says typically-negative Samantha Markle , adding: “I hope my dad is included and at a proper time. If he is excluded, I won’t be happy. It is in the best interests of the baby for my dad to be included.” We continue to send our best wishes to Harry and Meghan. This is all SO exciting! Married at First Sight Finale: Did Your Favorite Couple Stay Together?

And that’s all she wrote for another season of Married at First. The Lifetime reality series concluded its latest examination of husbands and wives who barely know each other on Tuesday night, as many viewers tuned in to find out which twosomes would stay together… … and which would finally realize, What the heck was I thinking marrying someone I only just met?!? Let’s begin our finale recap with a look  Dave Flaherty and Amber Martorana , shall we? Amber very much aware of Dave’s apprehensiveness and hesitation about the future, which, naturally, only made her even more insecure. However, she soon realized that she spent a lot of time focusing on Dave’s feelings rather than her own. Perhaps it was time for a self-examination, you know? Forget what Dave was thinking, she reasoned and wondered. “What if there’s someone better for me?” Amber said. “I haven’t really stopped to think ‘What do I really want? Is this marriage right for me?’” In the end, the answer was yes to this final question. She and Dave surprisingly chose to remain together and ended their storyline looking forward to having more time to work on their union. But what about Bobby Dodd and Danielle Bergman ? Well… We mean, do we even need to say it? The most predictable couple on the show never fought and were totally obsessed with each other during the entire process. It was both adorable and sort of sickening to watch. Only one thing was holding them back overall and that Danielle’s inability to tell Bobby that she loved him. “I’ve told Danielle time and time again how much I love her,” Bobby said. “The only thing I really need to hear is Danielle say that she loves me. It’s just something I always thought I would have by now.” Right?!? Especially considering how smoothly the marriage has gone. When decision day arrived, Bobby did all he could to make Danielle happy and secure, even getting down on one knee, pulling out a ring and pouring his heart out to her. “These eight weeks have been the absolute best eight weeks of my life,” he said. “I’m just glad that I got you. Ultimately, I want you to know that I chose you.” Did it work? Did she reply with the L Bomb? YES! “I feel like I got a best friend and I’m completely head over heels in love with you,” Danielle said. Finally, we get to  Tristan Thompson and Mia Balley … These two went through more than any other couple on the show, that’s for certain. If you’ll recall, he kicked her out of the house… she threatened him with divorce … we learned that Mia was once arrested for stalking . So it wasn’t exactly a shock that, going into decision day, both sides were apprehensive and confused about what to do. “It’s a lot more downs than been ups,” Tristan said. “I care for her … but with everything that’s happened, we still have a lot of work to do.” Incredibly, the two somehow chose to remain together and give their relationship another shot — on air, at least. The finale was filmed many months ago, remember. In September, long after shooting wrapped, Mia filed for divorce . It’s probably for the best, don’t you think?

Palm’s Tiny New Device Aims To Help You Put Down Your Smartphone

Source: Palm / Palm Palm the brand behind PDA’s (personal data assistants) that were all the rage in the 90s is back from the dead. The company unveiled its tiny new assistant to the world. Yesterday (Oct 15) the company announced its new small device that in essence acts as a phone but it’s not a phone. Head scratching right? Well, Palm’s new assistant is just that an assistant to help ween you away from your larger smartphone. It will pair with your phone just like your smartwatch does and Palm is hoping people will instead choose the smaller handset which is about the size of a credit card over their favorite wearable. Source: Palm / Palm Instead of straining your eyes staring at your smartwatch, you get a much a larger 3.3-inch touchscreen. It’s IP68-rated water- and dust-resistant and has 2GB of storage, an 800mAh battery, 3GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 that grants users access to all apps in the Google Play store and of course a camera. It features one USB-C port for charging and headphones and is equipped with Bluetooth 4.2 low energy. Oh, and Palm promises it will last all day too if you put in Life Mode which silences the phones notifications and incoming calls. The Palm will also sync with iOS devices but can’t run iOS-only apps so that might scare some Apple aficionados from away the Palm. Source: Palm / Palm Right out of the gate Palm has a big face trying to sell you on the new device, and it’s none other than the unanimous MVP and NBA champion Steph Curry who is also an advisor and investor with the brand. Hyped to bring @Palm back and share everything we’ve been working on since day 1! #LetsGo #LiveInTheMoment pic.twitter.com/SvVQZxJifT — Stephen Curry (@StephenCurry30) October 15, 2018 Palm’s new device will be exclusively sold by Verizon and will cost $349 on top of adding an additional $10 to your phone bill. Once signed up the devices LTE cellular radio will be activated and will be synced to the primary device receiving all of its calls and messages. Sounds like a good idea, but newer Apple and Samsung devices already have functions to help limit your smartphone use. But who knows maybe people will gravitate towards The Palm. — Photo: Palm

Joe Budden Claims He Did Not Run Away From Offset, Had To Use Bathroom [Video]

Source: MIAMI BEACH, FL – OCTOBER 06: (L-R) Offset and Cardi B attend the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards on October 6, 2017 in Miami Beach, Florida. (Photo by Johnny Nunez/WireImage) As Joe Budden continues his journey as a media personality he has already ruffled some feathers in Hip-Hop. You can add Offset to the short list. A couple of weeks ago the  State Of The Culture host offered his two cents on Cardi B’s recent run in turned shoe throwing incident with Nicki Minaj. Naturally his critique did not sit well with her husband. Last week the Migos member claimed he bumped into the “Pump It Up” rapper and Budden took off running. He detailed the interaction or lack there of in the comments section of a Shade Room post. “I watched ya show u a grown ass n*gga speaking on women I seen u in Barnes and u ran like I was gone do sum to you lol. U a hoe ass N***a soon u get touched u gone be police.” Considering Budden has a long history of wanting all the smoke the accusations made a lot of noise on the internet. Joey made sure to address the alleged backsliding on his show. On the last episode of  The Joe Budden Podcast  the New Jersey native detailed his version of events. “I don’t know why I still think I’m the guy that can hold a piss. He saw me, I didn’t see him.” He went to confirm his stance on Bardi. “She is great and amazing and I want her to continue to be here. I don’t want to lose her to police, to jail, to hatin’ bi***es. New York is rocking right now and Cardi’s a big part of that”. More importantly, he cleared the air and confirmed he doesn’t want any Rap beef with Offset. “I love Cardi I’m not about to beef with a n*gga over his wife that I love. I thought that was our common ground [laughs]. I was saying Cardi was too big a superstar to behave that way ’cause people have it out for her period.” This is not the first time Budden has rubbed the Migos camp the wrong way. In 2017 while still working at  Complex , he famously walked off when interviewing the Trap trio. Month’s later he became the subject of their song “Ice Tray” where his name was interchanged as slang for being a hater. Whether Joe really needed a bathroom break or not, we hope this misunderstanding doesn’t turn physical. The Migos have proven that they will shoot the fade; even in their blouses. You can see his response in full below. Photo: WENN.com

Dammit, Enough! Buffalo Wild Wings Introduces Pumpkin-Spiced Chicken And We’re Apoplectic

Image via Paul Poplis/Getty Buffalo Wild Wings Introduces Pumpkin Spice Flavored Wings Is NOTHING sacred in this world anymore?!?! For years we have enjoyed dozens of savory flavor profiles attached to the iconic chicken wing, but we now live in a time when things that were once considered immovable conventions of society are being challenged by the mayonnaise-based forces of evil. According to WBTV , Buffalo Wild Wings is introducing a new flavor into their normally palette-pleasing assortment of sauces, BBQ Pumpkin Ale. That’s right. Pumpkin-spiced chicken wings for a “taste of the season”. Tastes like the person who came up with this idea isn’t seasoned enough and should be added to the terrorist watch list immediately. It’s a matter of national security. Let us know if you think this sounds delicious so we can figure out how to have you banned for this site.

Does Racism Affect Police-Community Relations? Black Chief Says No

Read more here:

P hiladelphia’s police commissioner, who’s Black, rejected a report released on Monday that said police racial bias was instrumental in the controversial arrest of two Black men at Starbucks in April. However, many studies point to implicit bias as an ongoing policing problem. SEE ALSO: Starbucks Incident Prompts Philadelphia Police Department To Finally Try De-escalation In Trespass Cases The Police Advisory Commission, comprised of a citizen oversight board, urged police officials to improve officer implicit bias training, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. “The goal for us was to help everyone understand that issues can be nuanced and tinged with race, or affected by race and racism, and the Police Department, often, is the person at the front lines of all of our issues,” said Hans Menos , executive director of the commission. That didn’t go over well with Philadelphia Commission Richard Ross , who pointed out in a statement that his department bans racially biased policing. “We can agree that biases, whether implicit or explicit, may distort the fears and perception of some citizens who call the police to report crimes,” he stated, shifting the blame to citizens who call the police for help. When they refused to leave, a store manager called the police, who led them out of the store in handcuffs. No charges were filed, and Starbucks profusely apologized for the incident. Starbucks also closed its stores in May for an afternoon of employee anti-bias training. Studies have determined that suspicion and fear of Black men underpin police brutality and make for disproportionate arrests. Unconsciously, white people perceive Black men as larger and more threatening than white men of the same build, according to the American Psychological Association . Stereotypes of Black men as habitual criminals and dangerous people are reinforced through the media, the American Bar Association said. A national survey found that whites overestimated the percentage of Blacks involved in burglaries, drug sales and juvenile crime by up to 30 percent. Police officers bring those attitudes with them, often unconsciously, when policing Black communities. Police departments across the nation are struggling to help their officers eliminate their bias. The deception was for the worthiest of causes. If you use Round Up in the Lyft app the donated proceeds go to Chance’s the New Chance Fund which in turn supports Chicago Public Schools. And it’s legit, having recently announced they were blessing schools with even more money  specifically for mental health services. Watch the blessings below.

What’s Next In The Laquan McDonald Shooting Case? Here’s Everything We Know

See more here:

M any activists paying attention to the treatment of Laquan McDonald ‘s shooting know that this case is still ongoing. A guilty verdict has come against Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke  but other city department officers involved in the shooting were expected to soon face their judgment days. RELATED: ‘ Laquan McDonald Deserved Protection:’ National Black Police Association Reacts To Jason Van Dyke Conviction However, what will happen after Van Dyke’s moment of truth is rather clear: the 40-year-old man who jurors found guilty of second-degree murder and 16 counts of aggravated battery with a firearm after killing the 17-year-old teenager nearly four years ago will face countless years in prison. The former cop, who was being held in solitary lock up at Rock Island County Jail in Illinois, could be sentenced in excess of 96 years. He might be hit with consecutive six-year minimum sentences on each of 16 counts of aggravated battery and an additional consecutive prison term for whatever sentence Judge Vincent Gaughan hands down for his second-degree murder count, according to the Chicago Sun-Times . Van Dyke’s sentencing was scheduled for later this year, with much of the nation watching for the number of years of the prison term. While that was clear-cut, when the Chicago officers charged with conspiracy and covering-up facts in McDonald’s shooting will join him in prison was not yet clear. The next trial connected to Laquan McDonald's death will test the so-called “code of silence” in the Chicago Police Department https://t.co/ZNlZOFeirO — NYT National News (@NYTNational) October 10, 2018 The upcoming trial of three Chicago officer — former Detective David March , ex-Officer Joseph Walsh and Officer Thomas Gaffney — will put a magnifying glass on the hours and day after McDonald’s fatal shooting. Prosecutors will pick apart the officers’ stories during the proceeding, beginning on Nov. 26, in an effort to examine how fiction was sold as fact. March and Walsh, both now retired, played lead detective in the investigation and partner to Van Dyke, respectively. They, along with Gaffney, one of the first responding officers on that night Oct. 20, 2014, were charged with trying to shield Van Dyke from prosecution, blame and wrongdoing, which was shown via graphic dashcam video. Their defense couldn’t stop the wheels of justice in Van Dyke’s trial, which ended with him being held accountable for the unjustified killing. Activists have asked for March, Walsh and Gaffney to also be held accountable, as well as all other parties involved in the shooting. They want the blue wall of silence to come down. Aside from Van Dyke’s sentencing and the other officers’ trial, the Chicago Police Department will have to decide whether it will change how it interacts with Black communities. Trump’s Department of Justice may be vehemently opposing police reform but the demand and need for change won’t die down. The verdict in the Laquan McDonald case affirms the time is now for police to change how it interacts with Black communities. Cities across the US must implement strategies that change the way that police departments interact with Black communities. https://t.co/MrDZsBrFsT pic.twitter.com/MWTNyL6OSE — Shriver Center (@shrivercenter) October 14, 2018 SEE ALSO: Stacey Dash Reportedly Married Another Trump Worshiper Just 10 Days After They Met GOP Contender Seeking Al Franken’s Senate Seat Called Michelle Obama A ‘Chimp ‘ [ione_media_gallery src=”https://newsone.com” id=”3831747″ overlay=”true”]
