In case you didn’t know, the “delivert” internet star was arrested over the weekend in St. Louis. BlackAmericaWeb reports that Caldwell was taken into the St. Louis City Justice Center at 1 AM for a few warrants, including speeding and failing to appear in court. After being released, Caldwell said on social media that he was followed by a man he didn’t know who followed him and attacked him outside a hospital. The man allegedly tried to rob him and punched him in the face. Caldwell then “defended himself” and busted out the man’s car windows. Caldwell also took offense to people calling him a “jailbird” and “Andrew Smollett” and he ranted on IG. From the moment that Amber Portwood was arrested for domestic assault , fans assumed that a vicious custody between the Teen Mom OG star and her ex-boyfriend Andrew Glennon would soon follow. But even with Amber’s history of erratic behavior, we don’t think anyone thought the situation would get quite this ugly. Glennon has been keeping his distance from Portwood, and he currently has custody of the former couple’s 1-year-old son, James . Now, he’s being accused of tormenting Amber by flaunting his relationship with James on social media. “Andrew seems more concerned with public perception than getting back together with Amber,” a source close to the situation tells Us Weekly . The insider says the weeks since Amber’s arrest have cemented the fact that there’s no hope of reconciliation for Amber and Andrew. “He’s done nothing to indicate he wants to be back with her, and she’s done nothing to indicate she wants to get back together with him,” the insider says. “They’re as good as done and haven’t spoken since the court ordered them not to.” The source says Andrew’s Facebook posts have infuriated Amber, as have the comments from Glennon supporters deriding Portwood as an unfit mother. But Andrew accuses Amber of conducting her own misinformation campaign. And he says his social media updates serve no purpose other than “to let everyone we love know that James and I are OK.” “She is in total control of the future of this relationship, but if she wants to pass the buck to someone else, ignore her downfalls and not do what is right, that’s on her,” Glennon tells Us Weekly . “Amber needs help and the sooner she acknowledges that, the healthier and happier she will be.” As for the accusations that he’s going out of his way to torment Amber or that he used her for fame, Andrew says nothing could be further from the truth. “There can’t be any better indication of me wanting a family than me taking care of our beautiful son and keeping him safe,” he says. “He sees photos of her every day, smells her smells and plays with toys they loved to play with.” Something tells us Andrew’s efforts to appease Amber will fall on deaf ears. For years now, Jinger Duggar has had a reputation as the most rebellious member of her ultra-conservative family. Conversely, her older sister Jana Duggar has so fully devoted herself to serving her domineering parents that at the age of 29, Jana is still single, still childless, and still living in her childhood bedroom. We say this with no judgment toward Jana, as that’s not an unusual set of circumstances in 2019. But the choices she’s made are highly unusual in the Duggars’ world — an ultra-conservative, extremely old-fashioned community in which women are taught from a young age that procreation is their primary reason for being. The fact that Jana is still single remains a frequent topic of discussion among Duggar fans. Theories vary widely as to why she has yet to start a family of her own. Some believe she simply hasn’t found Mr. Right, while others maintain that Jana is a lesbian who has been engaging in an illicit same-sex affair with longtime friend Laura DeMasie. But whatever the hypothesis, the central thrust of the narrative remains the same, and it’s widely agreed that Jana is something of a disappointment to her grandchild-obsessed parents. Jana has offered only vague responses when asked why she’s still single, and it’s entirely possible that either she’s made a conscious decision to remain unattached, or she’s still in search of a suitable partner. However, there’s another theory that’s gained traction among Duggar watchers in recent months — it holds that Jana is being oppressed by her parents, who are forcing her to remain at home in order to help raise her younger siblings. Well, all this week we’ve been bringing you exclusive reports from our Duggar insider — a longtime employee of the family who developed close friendships with several of Jim Bob and Michelle’s children during his years of working with their parents. First, he informed us that Josiah Duggar is clashing with Jim Bob like never before and may be headed for a mental breakdown as a result of constant strife within the family. After that, he closed the book on the ongoing mystery of Mary Duggar’s death by drowning. Now the source is sharing his views on Jana Duggar and her controversial marital status. It seems he’s of the opinion that Jana is indeed being held back by her parents — and that Jinger represents her only chance to break free. “Jana is the one I hope can break the bonds that hold her,” the insider said in an interview with The Hollywood Gossip . The source made it clear that he believes Jana deserves more than the lonely fate she’s been assigned to — and he feels Jinger is the only one who can lead her to independence. “Maybe Jinger is just what she needs,” he said. “She’s such a wonderful woman whether she’s gay or not. Somebody is gonna be lucky to have her. She’s the epitome of pure love.” Why Jinger? Well, the 25-year-old mother of one has inspired rebellion in her sisters on previous occasions — such as when Jinger wore pants in public, becoming the first Duggar woman of her generation to defy the family’s infamous dress code. Since then, she’s broken from her parents’ worldview in a number of subtle but significant ways. In Jeremy Vuolo, she found a husband who’s vastly more liberal than her parents, and when the couple moved to Los Angeles so that Jeremy could study at an area divinity school, Jinger’s parents were so upset that they reportedly disowned her . If there’s anyone who can inspire Jana to wriggle out from under her parents’ control, it’s Jinger. Sadly, it seems the likelihood of Jana seeking freedom dwindles with each passing year. Asked about the fact that Jana appears to have accepted the possibility that she’ll forever remain single, the informant resignedly remarked, “Such is life.” Sadly, he’s correct — women in strict evangelical communities give in to patriarchal pressures every day. Last summer, 90 Day Fiance legend Danielle Mullins finally explained her “genital odor” to fans. That's a deeply personal topic. Her ex-husband, Mohamed Jbali, had publicly accused her of having an unpleasant odor. Now, it seems, turnabout is fair play. In a new video, Danielle is sharing way too much information — about Mohamed's penis . Danielle Mullins Jbali and her ex, Mohamed, were the ones who really put 90 Day Fiance on the map. We're not just saying that — Paola Mayfield and Russ, also long-running stars on the franchise, said it themselves. So it's no surprise that Danielle is a popular choice for fans to request Cameos. Cameos are a video service in which a fan pays a celebrity to record a short video, usually a simple message for a special occasion. In this case, Danielle was asked to give a fan a heartfelt happy birthday message — and she did just that. But Danielle's warm words weren't all. The person who hired her to make the video also asked an extremely personal question — one that Danielle agreed to answer. “And also,” Danielle says in her birthday message. “He wanted me to let you know if Mohamed had a smelly dick.” “The answer is no,” Danielle reveals. “He did not have a smelly dick.” At this point, Danielle is understandably cracking up. She reiterates her birthday message at that point, clearly not wanting to end the video talking about her ex-husband's penis. We have this video thanks to 90 Day Fiance blogger John Yates. He initially shared the clip on Instagram, but reports that Danielle allegedly misused some of Instagram's features to get the video taken down. Yates then moved the video over to Twitter, and we want to make it clear that he deserves the credit for this video being public knowledge. (He and Danielle emphatically do not get along, despite his prior vocal support for her during her divorce) The video, which we have included in this post, is worth watching — but keep in mind that the subject matter is at times NSFW. When Danielle, an older American woman, became engaged to Mohamed, a younger Tunisian man, fans thought that they knew this story. Quite simply, they figured that it was a green card scam. But as 90 Day Fiance continued, it became clear that there was more to Mohamed and Danielle's story. Danielle would openly demand that Mohamed perform his husbandly duties by having sex with her. She accused him of cheating on her. He accused her of stealing from him. Mohamed also alleged, on camera, that Danielle needed to go to a doctor to address a supposed “foul odor.” As you can imagine, their divorce was downright ugly. Danielle vowed to do her level best to get Mohamed deported. Towards that end, she tried to get their marriage annulled, claiming that Mohamed had not truly acted as her husband. This was when Danielle revealed that she and Mohamed had had sex — exactly once, to consummate their marriage. That might not be enough to satisfy Danielle, but it was enough to force Danielle to settle for a plain ol' divorce. These days, they've both moved on. Danielle is doing Cameos and Mohamed is in Texas, working and living an ordinary life. We suppose that congratulations are in order for Mohamed on his genital odor, or perhaps lack thereof. We're not sure how he feels about Danielle openly discussing his penis with the world. If he decides to let his feelings be known, we'll keep you posted.
Beverly Hills, 90210 has been rebooted on Fox. Or has it been revived? Or maybe erased from memory and started all over again by most of the original cast members? It’s difficult to assess what we just watched premiere on Wednesday night — but we’re pretty sure we liked it a lot. BH90210 brought Gabrielle Carteris, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestley, Brian Austin Green and Shannen Doherty back on screen together for the first time in about 30 years. But the stars didn’t portray the characters that made them famous way back in the early 1990s. Instead, they portrayed heightened versions of themselves , flying into Las Vegas for a Beverly Hills, 90210 reunion and starring in a meta mockumentary that was actually pretty funny at even revealing at times. How so? Well… The Tori Spelling played by Tori Spelling on this new series has six kids, a handful of reality shows on her resume, a husband who doesn’t work and serious financial issues. The version of Jennie Garth fans watched on the premiere has been married three times and gets really annoyed by how everyone only refers to her as Kelly Taylor. Brian Austin Green on the show is a stay-at-home father, married to a gorgeous and famous singer; the only thing anyone wants to talk to him about is his wife and he hasn’t acted in years. These jokes and many of these fictional/non-fictional tidbits may not have been obvious to all viewers, but the premiere was full of other jokes regarding the original series and was also just simply funny at times without delving into the meta narratives. To continue along this theme, however: Jason Priestley on the series was a moderately successful television director who is still best remembered for playing Brandon Walsh and who seems a little annoyed by that fact. Jason Priestley in real life is, well…. exactly the same. Ian Ziering on the series is married to a gorgeous blonde who is trying out for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and with whom he’s trying to build a career off a personalized, hashtag-themed workout book. In real life? Ziering was married for five years to a former Playmate of the Month. The premiere concluded on two notes, one intriguing and one heartbreaking. First, Doherty decided to fly to Los Angeles (from Africa, where she had been rescuing tigers) in order to join her ex-co-stars in an attempt to revive Beverly Hills, 90210 as a show-within-the-show. Second, the reboot/revival paid tribute to Luke Perry, who tragically died from a stroke earlier this year. The final scene was from a very early episode of the original; it featured Perry as Dylan and Priestley as Brandon and it depicted the charactes pulling up to the beach in a car. “Welcome to paradise, man. I f it wasn’t clear following last week’s mass shooting in Gilroy, California , this past weekend’s back-to-back weekend shootings in El Paso , Texas, and Dayton , Ohio, respectively, exposed the nation’s lack of laws for domestic terrorism. But with officials announcing that the El Paso shooting that killed 20 people would be treated as domestic terrorism , the deadly gun violence also exposed which presidential candidates have thrown their support behind domestic terrorism legislation that has stalled in Congress. Many politicians and pundits alike tend to use deadly episodes like the three mass shootings in the past two weeks as reasons to ramp up the rhetoric for tighter gun laws, but Senate Democrats have already taken that talk a step further by introducing Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin ’s Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2019 back in March. S.894 has 19 co-sponsors. But that number was only made up of half the presidential candidates who are also Senators: New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker , California Sen. Kamala Harris , Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Bernie Sanders . Conspicuously missing from that list were three other presidential candidates who are Senators: Michael Bennett of Colorado, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts. That’s right, Elizabeth Warren, the person who has been lauded for having a plan for everything, has not co-sponsored the fledgling legislation against domestic terrorism, an issue that has been pushed to the forefront in just one week’s time. Warren did recently denounce white supremacy as domestic terrorism, but her efforts to get a law passed about it have been unclear aside from what appears to be her absence from being involved in the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2019. Meanwhile, the co-sponsorship by Booker, Harris and Klobuchar immediately gives them a ton of political capital on the topic that is bound to dominate future presidential debates and interviews as the country grapples with the fallout from a problem it doesn’t seem properly equipped to answer. However, since Klobuchar has become a fringe candidate whose campaign may not even last until the next debate, Booker and Harris — the latter of whom has flirted with being a frontrunner among Democrats — could emerge as difference-makers on helping to get the domestic terrorism law on the books. There was also the House’s Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2019 for which at least one prominent Congresswoman running for president has not signed on. The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act is specifically designed to address and specifically NAMES White Nationalism as a terror threat. It only has 10 co-sponsors in the House. Why isn't 2020 candidate @TulsiGabbard on this bill ? https://t.co/YXHVxBegYV — Jason Johnson (@DrJasonJohnson) August 4, 2019 The idea of investigating the El Paso shooting as domestic terrorism was also interesting because even though mass shootings disproportionately waged by white American males have been on the rise for almost a quarter of a century, Esquire reminded readers in June that “the Department of Justice cannot label such acts as terrorism because there is no law under which they can do it.” According to the American Civil Liberties Union, Section 802 of the USA PATRIOT Act expands “the type of conduct that the government can investigate when it is investigating ‘terrorism’” but “does not create a new crime of domestic terrorism.” All of which emphasizes why Durbin’s bill was especially important in the wake of this weekend’s carnage that on face value certainly seemed deserving of being labeled domestic terrorism. The El Paso shooter, who police managed to arrest, reportedly left behind a racist manifesto that indicated he traveled more than 10 hours by car to the border town in order to kill “Hispanics.” Not only does that type of premeditation mandate a hate crime charge, but domestic terror also fits perfectly into that narrative. Aside from the requisite “thoughts and prayers” offered by politicians following mass shootings, it will be interesting to see how sitting U.S. Senators try to explain why they did not co-sponsor Durbin’s bill that has now taken on an added sense of urgency.
