It’s finally happening — for better or for worse. Reports surfaced earlier this week that Lisa Vanderpump is leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . Now, Lisa herself is speaking out and looking to set the record straight. Speaking to Us Weekly , Lisa Vanderpump mostly denies the report that she’s leaving the franchise. “I am in the season, obviously,” Lisa says. That, at least, we already knew — because there was a controversy over her refusing to film certain scenes with her castmates. “There are some parts I missed,” Lisa admits. “And you’ll see why.” We already heard that Lisa ghosted the other Housewives because they were bullying her in some form or another. “And,” Lisa says. “I think maybe we’ll have a better understanding when you watch the show.” “There’s a plethora of stories that say I’m quitting,” Lisa acknowledges. She says that there are also many stories “that say I’m trying to get Jax [Taylor] off [ Vanderpump Rules ].” “If I had quit,” she promises. “I would have said it.” She expresses frustration that people think that she would sit on the story if it were true. “Can we just trust that I would … I’ve never had a problem with kind of coming forward speaking my mind,” Lisa says. That said … she isn’t promising that she’s going to come back to the show, either. Reports make it very clear that Lisa Vanderpump would never be fired . But Lisa says that she can’t make any assurances about her future with the franchise. “It’s like saying am I going to a Christmas party next year,” Lisa says. “You know, you don’t know, do you?” “You don’t know if you’re going to be invited back,” she explains. Lisa even mentions the possibility of cancelation: “You don’t know if they’re going to do the show.” “So that’s a little hypothetical, really,” Lisa characterizes. She really seems determined to dance around this topic. Lisa has very clearly not been getting along with her co-stars on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . She’s been refusing to film with them, and even missed Camille’s wedding. Despite their heated arguments in Season 9, Kyle Richards told Us Weekly earlier this month that she loves Lisa. Lisa has now responded to that claim, saying that words are not enough. “Don’t tell me,” Lisa says. “Show me!” That’s great advice for storytelling and for friendship, folks. “I have talked to Camille, yes, absolutely,” Lisa affirms. “She was actually asking me about her little dog because he wasn’t feeling so well,” she explains. Lisa Vanderpump is a dog-lover. Like, almost everyone is, but Lisa even more than most. Camilla, of course, was one of many people to lose her home in the wildfires that are spreading through Southern California. “I think it’s, you know, it’s a huge loss,” Lisa says. “It’s just not, it’s just not a house, it’s the memories, but you know, it is very difficult for her.” “But then again, she just got married so maybe it’s a new life, a new beginning,” Lisa says, trying to paint a silver lining. “She seemed upbeat,” Lisa says of Camille. “But I know it’s a very sad, very sad situation to lose so much.” Earlier this year, Lisa lost her brother. But she says that she is very much in touch with his children. “They live in England, but you know, I’m close with them,” she shares. “Obviously I think we hold onto each other,” Lisa concludes. “It’s been very difficult.” So … she’s at least mostly denying that she’s leaving the show, but it feels like she’s playing word games and dancing around her answers. Mark Wahlberg and Rose Bryne star in the new family comedy Instant Family from Paramount Pictures. Today on Extra Butter with Xilla Valentine I talk to the pair about their feel-good comedy. The movie follows Pete and Ellie, played by Mark and Rose, when they decide to start a family, only to end up in the world of foster care adoption. They in willing to take in one small child, but eventually fall in love with the idea of taking in three siblings, including a rebellious 15-year-old girl. Literally, overnight they go from zero to three kids and watching the new parents learn the ropes of instant parenthood in the hope of becoming a family is completely hilarious. I went into this thinking a comedy about adoption, really! Surprisingly the movie really worked. Mark and Rose had instant chemistry on film, I asked them when did they know they had something. Mark said he knew it the moment Rose signed on to be in the film, “When we had our first table read rehearsal on the Sony lot, on a little soundstage and she is fantastic. Elle is such a great character, very well written, she is tough and no-nonsense. I loved the moment when she starts going in on her family and starts telling them what she’s going to do, after the idea of them being relieved that they weren’t going to adopt then she decides no we are going to do it, just to spite them.” The movie has some really funny moments that make you laugh but shows the difficulty of foster care. There is a scene where Pete and Elle are having dinner with the kids and the youngest daughter demands potato chips. You can see that clip in this episode. The pair kept showering each other with praise throughout the interview with Rose telling that Mark was a delight to work with revealing how he went to go serve the troops during his downtime filming. Instant Family is a funny film that is filled with heart and worth seeing if you need a feel-good movie or if this weekend’s big-budget blockbuster is sold out and you’re looking for another option. Man Charged With Driving Two Autistic Kids Into Ocean A Los Angeles area man is finally jailed and charged with drowning his two kids and attempting to kill their mother after a 2015 “accident”. His arrest was delayed due to “insufficient evidence”, but last week, the FBI made it’s move after a thorough investigation according to reports. According to the NY Daily News , Ali Elmezayen, 44, allegedly killed his two children, ages 8 and 13, when he drove his car off of a Los Angeles wharf. Elmezayen purchased “several accidental death insurance policies” amounting to $6 million covering himself, his kids and his domestic partner, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Central California. The accused paid $6,000 a year to maintain that coverage, despite earning less than $30,000 a year. Sketchy AF! Reportedly Elmezayen’s domestic partner couldn’t swim and was also a passenger in the car. She was rescued by a fisherman who witnessed the crash. So sad. May those innocent children rest in peace.

This attack came only two days before a pack of simians killed a 58-year-old woman in the same Indian city. The 12-day-old infant was in his mother’s arms while inside their home in the city of Agra, which is when the rhesus macaques suddenly barged in and grabbed the baby, the BBC reported . According to the report, locals ran after the monkey until it finally dropped the severely injured child onto a neighbor’s roof. The baby died of his injuries at a hospital. “The monkey bit the infant’s head and only dropped him when people chased it with sticks and threw stones at it,” Ajay Kaushal, the officer in charge at the nearby police station, told Reuters. The family was obviously devastated following the attack. The child’s uncle Dhirendra Kumar told the BBC, “There are too many monkeys in the area. We live in fear. We have told the administration so many times to help us but they haven’t done anything. The mother of the baby is too distraught to even speak.” The baby’s grandmother Pushpa Devi told the station that the family would “never recover” from the sudden loss. “I have lost my grandson,” Devi explained. “Just a few hours before the monkey attacked our baby, I had him in my arms. Our baby didn’t have to die. People will talk about it for a while and then forget it. But we have to live with the reality that our baby is gone.” Jus two days after this devastating attack, 58-year-old Bhoomi Devi was killed after monkeys attacked her when she had gone out of her house at Thok Mohalla, The Telegraph India reported. She was rushed to a hospital, but could not be saved. These deaths are the latest in a string of monkey attacks in the city, which is home to an estimated 25,000 monkeys. “Monkeys are everywhere in Agra,” local environmental activist Shravan Kumar Singh told Reuters, adding that the animals have become more aggressive after being displaced from their natural habitats. “They come in search of food, but they snatch and attack as well.” Some local organizations are calling for a complete overhaul of the situation including for authorities to compensate monkey attack victims, for the animals to be sterilized and for their exclusion from legislation protecting wildlife, Singh said.

See Also: Blue Party: Say Hello To The Black Wave African-American women have been the backbone of the party and the progressive movement, yet Democrats have been selective in rallying around some Black women candidates while giving little support to others. To add insult to injury, Black women are all too often overlooked for leadership roles in the movement. Enter Yvette Simpson , who was named CEO of Democracy for America ( DFA ) on Wednesday and is poised to take the political action committee’s reigns on Jan. 1, when she will become the first woman to lead the organization. Simpson said she was on a mission to change the value that Democrats and progressives see in Black women. “My being in this role is a big deal,” Simpson told NewsOne on Wednesday. “For the first time the progressive movement is putting a Black woman at the helm of a traditionally white-led organization. I hope it sends a strong signal to the Democratic Party, the progressive movement and our nation. It launched in 2004 under the leadership of former Vermont governor and Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean . “After an election year defined by historic firsts and the profound impact women of color played in delivering them, I couldn’t be more excited about Democracy for America’s future with Yvette Simpson as its new chief executive,” DFA chair Jim Dean , the brother of Howard Dean, said in a statement. Black women candidates, like Ayanna Pressley , are part of the 2019 freshman class in Congress who received no support from Democrats. The party opposed the progressive candidate during her historic run to become the first Black woman to represent Massachusetts in Congress. Even the Congressional Black Caucus Political Action Committee backed her rival , incumbent Rep. Michael Capuano , in their primary race. “We went out and supported Ayanna Pressley from the start saying she is the right choice for this district,” said Simpson, who served as DFA’s federal electoral manager for the 2018 midterms. Simpson, a former Cincinnati City Council member who had an unsuccessful bid for mayor last year, said she planned to focus on recruiting and supporting candidates of color for the 2019 and 2020 elections. “You’re going to see us on the ground and partnering with (Black) organizations like the Collective PAC , Color of Change , Higher Heights to make sure we are finding the best candidates, candidates that represent the new American majority, Black and brown people, women, progressives, and make sure we give them the support they need to win,” she said with great anticipation of things to come. With a Black woman leading DFA, the organization will be able to build bridges to minority communities more effectively, she predicted that her crusade for the Democrats and the progressive movement to be more inclusive. “You and I both know that Black women get things done,” she declared. It feels like the Giudice family is in ruins thanks to Joe’s very likely deportation next year. Teresa, however, seems to be keeping busy and even staying positive. It’s not because she’s happy about Joe getting the boot. According a report, she’s deep in denial. HollywoodLife reports that Teresa is still struggling to accept the reality of what Joe’s deportation will mean. “Teresa is absolutely heartbroken over the news that Joe will not be allowed back into America once he’s deported,” and insider states. We knew this — but we didn’t know the whole story. “However,” the source characterizes. “She is still a bit delusional and does not believe it will actually happen.” Whoa, there. Delusional is a little harsh. In denial sounds more accurate and a lot more polite. Per the insider: “She thinks Joe will somehow, magically be able to remain in the States.” The source says that Teresa is clinging to this hope “despite what the judges are saying and all the signs and facts that point to the contrary.” The insider goes on to allege that Teresa is “majorly in denial about what is going on.” Ah, there it is. “Teresa is not really an emotional person,” the source says. “And lives in denial with a lot of things in her life.” People who are deeply in touch with their own thoughts and feelings may be more grounded in reality. “But,” the insider notes. “Her oldest daughter Gia realizes this is in fact a reality.” Well Gia is 17 going on 18, and seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Apparently, Teresa’s current behavior has her loved ones a little worried. “Family and friends alike both see that Teresa is out running around like crazy and traveling,” the source reports. It is evident, the insider says, that Teresa is “doing her best to distract herself from what is actually going on.” She’s also a busy person in general, but sure. “They wish she’d stay home more with her girls,” the source says. “As her girls are her world.” “However,” the insider explains. “She’s doing it to numb the pain.” Rumors that Teresa will divorce Joe have persisted since even before the shocking deportation ruling on October 10. But this particular inside source doesn’t see it happening. “Teresa would never leave Joe,” the source claims. “Because she doesn’t want to actually go through a divorce.” Yeah — divorce is zero fun. “But of course,” the insider continues. “She’s angry and resentful.” Joe getting into trouble like this is really doing a number on their whole family. “She’s most concerned about her daughters,” the source affirms. “And making sure they’re OK.” That’s good to hear. Children are resilient, but they lack the coping mechanisms and perspective of adults. Those four girls are going to need a lot of emotional support. Fortunately, as Teresa recently made very clear during an appearance on Good Morning America , she’s there for them. “I have to stay strong,” Teresa stated. Teresa explained: “I have four beautiful daughters and they need their mommy.” We’re usually (though not always) leery of reports on other people’s feelings. Sometimes, even those closest to us, we don’t show our actual state of mind. Maybe Teresa is trying to stay busy because she’s in debt and she has four children and a soon-to-be-deported husband to support. Maybe Teresa is speaking positively about Joe’s chances because she wants to have a good attitude. No one wants to give up on a loved one. And staying positive doesn’t hurt anyone.
