Lil Wayne: Engaged, Expecting Baby With Dhea?

Did Lil Wayne pop the question to girlfriend Dhea on Valentine’s Day? That’s the rumor, which spread like wildfire after MediaTakeOut (yes, we know), reported that Dhea told Weezy she’s pregnant … and that he decided to make it official. MTO says he cares about her so much that he wanted to put a ring on it. They also report that the wedding will take place this spring. All sounds very lovely and bogus. However, Lil Wayne took to Twitter early this morning to write “She said yes!” He did not say who said yes to what, but that’s something! Congratulations, possibly! If Wayne and Dhea are expecting, it will be their first … but not his. Lil Wayne has four kids. His first, daughter Reginae, was born when he was 15, to his high school sweetheart (and now ex-wife) Antonia “Toya” Carter (n

‘I meant ‘she said yes’ to being my valentine,’ Wayne says, clarifying Valentine’s Day tweet about girlfriend Dhea. By Nadeska Alexis Lil Wayne Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images Lil Wayne is not engaged. The Young Money rapper has been linked to his girlfriend, Dhea, since last spring, and on Tuesday, a message on Weezy’s Twitter account set off rumors that he had finally put a ring on it. “She said yes!” Wayne wrote. Even though Wayne isn’t a very frequent tweeter, the feedback got to him quickly, because on Wednesday (February 15) morning, he followed up with a new message to clarify things. “Ohhhhhhh now I see why! I meant ‘she said yes’ to being my valentine!!!” he wrote. “Hahahahahahaha! Y’all krazy!” Ohhhhhhh now I see why!I meant “she said yes” to being my valentine!!! Hahahahahahaha! Y’all krazy! — Lil Wayne WEEZY F (@LilTunechi) February 15, 2012 Wayne and Dhea were first spotted out and about in Miami last May, and Complex magazine dug up some information on the rapper’s leading lady, reporting that she is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, and previously worked at Suede Restaurant & Lounge in her hometown. Over the past year, Dhea has accompanied Lil Wayne as he’s skipped across cities and continents during his I Am Still Music Tour. MTV News joined Wayne , Birdman, Ronald “Slim” Williams and the Cash Money team in New Orleans over the Thanksgiving holiday while they handed out turkeys, and Dhea was right by his side. In December they were snapped sitting courtside at a Los Angeles Lakers game, and when Wayne headed to South Africa to perform, another tweet hinted that she was there as well. “In S. Africa w/ my homies, makin $, sk8’n, performing my azz off, & I get 2 make luv 2 the most beautiful woman! Mylifemylifemylifemylife. YOLO,” Wayne wrote . Lil Wayne’s most serious relationship to date was with his ex-wife, Toya Carter, who is also the mother of his daughter, Reginae Carter. He opened up about the relationship in his VH1 “Behind the Music” special, saying that the two still maintain a great relationship. Related Artists Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne Disses Jay-Z, Kanye In Pre-Grammy Freestyle

‘I asked her what she want to watch, she said, ‘Surely not the Throne,’ ‘ Weezy rhymes, adding to the MCs’ back-and-forth. By Rob Markman Lil Wayne Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Here we go again. Hours before Lil Wayne and the Throne face off in the Grammy battle for Best Rap Album at Sunday night’s (February 12) awards show, Weezy threw shots during YMCMB’s pre-Grammy party in Los Angeles on Saturday night. After receiving some new sales plaques for his wall, announcing that he had signed R&B singer Christina Milian and paying homage to the late Whitney Houston , Wayne dropped an a cappella freestyle directed at Jay-Z and Kanye West. “I met a bad red bone, I took the bi— home/ I asked her what she want to watch, she said, ‘Surely not the Throne,’ ” Weezy spit before he dropped the mic and moseyed offstage, according to Rap Radar . Things began to sour after a 2009 interview in which Cash Money CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams objected to Jay-Z taking the crown for MTV News’ “Hottest MCs in the Game” list for that year. “I don’t think he the #1 MC, in no kinda way,” Baby said, casting the first stone. “Wayne is the best, he do the most and he make the most money. I don’t think no n—a in the business make more money than us.” Jay returned fire at the top of 2011. On the Throne’s “H.A.M.,” Jigga made it clear that not only was Birdman, a.k.a. Baby, and Wayne not holding any Hov-caliber bucks, but that financially they couldn’t even compare to his wife, Beyonc

Will Yeezy capitalize on his double nods in the category, or will Lil Wayne or Nicki Minaj take the throne on Sunday night? By Rob Markman Kanye West Photo: Don Arnold/ WireImage Who would’ve ever thought that hip-hop would take it this far? The Notorious B.I.G. posed the question on his 1994 classic “Juicy,” and the 2012 Grammy nominations prove that hip-hop continues to rise to new heights. For the second year in a row, a rap artist is leading in Grammy nods: Last year it was Eminem, this year Kanye West . Yeezy’s seven nods take the cake. Two of West’s nominations come in the hotly contested Best Rap Album category; one for his solo My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and the other for his and Jay-Z ‘s Watch the Throne tag-team LP. Lil Wayne ‘s Tha Carter IV, Nicki Minaj ‘s Pink Friday and Lupe Fiasco’s Lasers round out the category, and while the odds are clearly in the Louis Vuitton Don’s favor, he isn’t exactly a lock. If record sales are any indication, it will be tough to ignore the first-week sales of Wayne’s Carter IV . The approximate 960,000 units Weezy sold in his first week didn’t earn him a platinum plaque right out of the gate, but it stood as one of the biggest hip-hop stories of 2011. CIV has since been certified double platinum by the RIAA, and though some critics panned it, high-powered singles like “6 Foot 7 Foot,” “She Will” and “John” helped cement Wayne’s ninth solo album as a fan-favorite. Just like her Young Money boss, Nicki Minaj reigned throughout the year thanks to Pink Friday. Released at the end of 2010 and anchored by the infectious and inescapable bonus track “Super Bass,” Nicki’s debut LP helped her to penetrate the pop space while still keeping a foot firmly planted in the streets with her “Did It On ‘Em” single. Lupe Fiasco may be the dark horse of the group but considering the Recording Academy’s knack for acknowledging hip-hop with a message, don’t be surprised if the Chicago MC takes home the golden gramophone. Lasers was a commercial success thanks to its radio-friendly sound, but it didn’t sit well with some die-hard fans because it was a departure from Fiasco’s earlier work. Regardless of the LP’s sound bed, Lupe’s message remained potent. His criticism of President Obama on “Words I Never Said” was polarizing and opened up much political debate. Kanye’s MBDTF was highly touted when it dropped in November 2010, but was seemingly eclipsed by the meteoric Watch the Throne collaboration with Jay-Z. Discussing MBDTF ‘s Album of the Year snub , Yeezy blamed himself, saying that he should have spaced his releases out “just a little bit more.” But in the Best Rap Album category, his maddening pace only increases his chances. Keep Your Gremlin Paws Off Our NFL ManMeat: Weezy Catches Fade With Cowboys Baller Dez Bryant

SMH… Lil Wayne has been scrapping it up with our boo thang Dez Bryant , we hear. Scratch another notch onto the Fontainebleau, the high-rollin’ hotel where Gloria James (allegedly) slapped a valet and where Lil Wayne lost his 305 cred by partying with the Dallas Mavericks after they topped the Heat in the NBA Finals last year. The latest celebrity athlete embroiled in headlines tied to the iconic Miami Beach spot is Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant. Bryant was detained by Miami Beach cops on Sunday after getting into a fight with a “famous rapper” and his posse, Bryant’s mentor tells Dallas’ WFAA this morning. Beach police have no incident reports from the fight, but a source tells a Herald reporter that Lil’ Wayne was involved. The fight happened inside the Fontainebleau’s LIV, the station reports, but details are otherwise sketchy about the altercation. Riptide has requested an incident report from the Beach police — we’ll update this post with more details when we track it down. For now, WFAA reports that Bryant was at LIV on Sunday night when he clashed with the unnamed rapper’s “entourage.” The Dallas Morning News writes that the fight started over someone mocking Bryant about a subpar season and a mounting personal debt crisis. (Bryant was threatened with a lawsuit in December by the Endurance Capital Fund, which claimed the former Oklahoma State star hadn’t paid off a $100,000 loan.) Either way, Bryant’s mentor David Wells tells WFAA that the wide receiver wasn’t arrested in the incident. Damn… Young Money always beefing over financials. Didn’t Wayne get sensitive when Hov fired those “You ain’t got my lady money” shots??? So why start isht with Dez about his??? SMH! Can’t we all just get along? And in case you need reminding why we’re taking Dez’s side in this mess, here’s a few visuals to refresh your memory: Source More On Bossip!
