Jay Smith spent almost all of the month of July behind bars in ICE custody. He would still be there — had his boss not bailed him out in a stunning display of generosity. Now, Jay's ex-wife, Ashley Martson, is weighing in on Jay's arrest. (The arrest happened because he violated the Protection From Abuse order that she took out on him, after all) Ashley reveals that Jay's cheating goes above and beyond what's already public knowledge. She also says that his deportation is pretty much inevitable — and that she doesn't give a flying flip so long as he's out of her life. 1. Ashley is speaking out After Jay was arrested, spent weeks in ICE custody, and then got bailed out by his boss, Ashley is weighing in — and spilling everything she knows about his cheating. There was more of it than fans had realized. 2. She says Jay needed no help getting himself arrested Speaking to In Touch Weekly, Ashley explains: “It said right on the front, like you can’t discuss Ashley or this PFA on social media. And he did.” 3. Yep If you’re not allowed to discuss something, putting it in your Instagram Stories isn’t the best move. 4. But Jay was going to jail regardless “I did know they were coming on,” Ashley reveals. “It was on a Thursday. So they were coming on Monday to detain him because he was there illegally.” 5. Jay only hastened the inevitable “The PFA and the violation just got him arrested basically two days earlier than what he would have been,” Ashley adds. 6. Won’t part of her miss him when he’s gone? “Honestly, I don’t really care if he’s deported,” Ashley admits. It sounds like she’s experienced a lot of personal growth this year. Some sleuths online seemingly managed to figure out that Nicki Minaj will appear on the track, and the week-long delay of its release seems to confirm that. The Minaj Society Twitter account posted a tweet Sunday (August 4) that showed a Shazam result for “Hot Girl Summer” with Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign as the featured guests on the track. The pair sparked rumors last month after appearing on each other’s Instagram Live feeds, and Megan herself told her adoring fans that the song would be delayed a week for a rather special reason. The embattled singer is facing two counts of engaging in prostitution with an individual under 18 years old and offering to hire for sexual purposes a person under 18. The events allegedly took place with an underage girl in Minneapolis in July 2001. During a news conference on Monday, State Attorney Mike Freeman said the alleged victim approached Kelly for an autograph and claims that the 52-year-old singer paid her $200 to get naked and engage in sexual acts at his Minneapolis hotel. Kelly’s attorney, Steve Greenberg calls the latest charges “absurd.” Re: New charges @RKelly give me a break. This is beyond absurd — Steve Greenberg (@SGcrimlaw) August 5, 2019 Freeman said that there was no sexual intercourse between Kelly and the underage girl, but there was “sexual contact.” He also admitted that the case will be difficult to prosecute, given that the evidence dates back nearly 20 years. The news follows a month in and out of courts for Kelly. He was charged with 18 counts of sexual misconduct and other charges in Chicago and New York and pled not guilty to five federal criminal charges including kidnapping and racketeering. Kelly built over decades is continuing to avalanche down on him. According to TMZ , Robert is being charged with engaging in prostitution with someone under 18, and hiring/offering/agreeing to hire someone for sexual contact for paying a girl between the ages of 16 and 17 for sexual contact in his hotel room back on July 11, 2001. The Minnesota prosecutor, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, says that the woman approached police on January 11, 2019 to filed a report. Just three days after Cook County prosecutor Kim Foxx made a public plea for other accusers to come forward. Word is that the then-teen asked Kelly for an autograph and he then paid her $200 to dance naked for him. They did not have sexual intercourse, but there was sexual contact. Robert is facing five years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
