Audrey Roloff Shares Ember Update: She’s 8 Months Now!

Melting hearts since SeptEMBER of 2017. See what I did there. So wrote Audrey Roloff in a very cute opening to her latest Instagram post, which was centered entirely on daughter Ember Jean. And for good reason: Ember is now 8 months old! As she has done nearly every month around this time since her child entered the world, Audrey updated fans on Ember's status, sharing a number of new (and PRECIOUS!) photos, while also giving us an idea of what the infant has been up to. The answer? A whole lot! Scroll down for more: 1. She’s on the Move! “These photos are getting harder and harder to take! Our girlsie is getting more and more mobile,” wrote Audrey about her eight-month old, who is apparently crawling all around. 2. Look Out, Kitty! “She still loves to chase Pine,” continued Audrey, referencing the cat she shares with husband Jeremy and who Little People, Big World fans have gotten to know well. 3. Aloha! Ember “took her first flight with mom and Dad to Hawai,” Audrey wrote, including with her update the cute photo above. It features Mommy and Daughter in this tropical locale. 4. Back It Up? No thanks! Audrey explains that Ember “doesn’t like being on her back,” which is very normal for a girl her age. 5. What Does She Love, Though? She “loves splashing in the bath (and ocean),” says Audrey. We wonder if they’ve considered putting Ember in a swim class just yet. Maybe she’s a bit young, though. 6. Hooray for Ember! She “attended her first Luau” and has “learned to clap,” Audrey continued. View Slideshow

Jax Taylor: I’m Finally Gonna Kick James Kennedy’s Ass!

Over the past two seasons of Vanderpump Rules viewers witnessed two very perplexing inverse trends: For some reason, as James Kennedy’s behavior became even more deplorable, he somehow came to enjoy greater popularity with his castmates. For the third season in a row, Kennedy behaved abusively toward women, disrespected his relationship with his long-suffering girlfriend, forced unwanted advances on a female friend who’s made it very clear that she has no interest in him romantically, and of course, stabbed his “friends” in the back as part of his never-ending quest for more screentime. The situation was so bad that by midseason, fans were calling for Kennedy to be fired from the show. And yet, not only is he still an employee of both Bravo and Lisa Vanderpump, he’s been rewarded for his behavior with increased popularity among his older co-stars, who should really know better. All season, viewers have been warning the rest of the cast that James is sure to eventually remind them of why he was kept at arms’ length for so long, but for whatever reason, they ignored the pleas for sanity. As a result, on the Vanderpump reunion finale that aired last night, James was on good terms with the entire cast – except for Lala Kent, whom he sent running from the stage in tears. Of course, the reunion was taped several weeks ago, and change is the only constant in the lives of WeHo’s drunkest posse of ex-models. So it should come as no surprise that Jax Taylor has since seen the light and once again considers James his mortal enemy. As you may recall, the show’s latest season began with the revelation that Jax cheated on Brittany Cartwright with Faith Stowers. In the months that followed, Jax and Brittany worked hard to save their relationship, and recently, their reborn love was tested and strengthened by the death of Taylor’s father . So you can see why Jax’s infidelity might not be the couple’s favorite topic of conversation. And yet knowing all that, James decided to sing a song about it the incident in front of a packed club. “I had many one too many of the Pumptinis last night and I brought up the whole Faith thing again… over the mic,” Kennedy said during a recent podcast interview. “I was just like, ‘Oh hey, you banged Faith, remember?’ I just reminded everyone and I didn’t know Brittany was in the room at the time.” At that point, Tom Sandoval interjected and pointed out that that version of events is a bit too charitable to James: “I heard that you were like, ‘Jax and Faith! Jax and Faith!’” Sandoval said. “If Scheana said that, then maybe I did that… maybe. But I apologized this morning. I said, ‘I’m sorry’ to Jax. He’s still very angry with me,” James said, adding: “I made a little mistake last night. Perfect timing since filming starts in two weeks. I must say. You gotta keep it spicy somehow!”  Of course, what James calls “spicy” others might call “the further victimization of a woman who’s already endured a tremendously difficult year.” We bet you can guess which category Jax falls into: “Brittany went in to go see him and say hi Tuesday night at SUR. He literally gave her a hug, she walked maybe four feet away, and he started rapping a song called Jax and Faith. And Brittany started bawling her eyes out,” Jax revealed on a different podcast. “Crying, embarrassed in front of everybody at SUR and she had to be escorted out. She was literally mortified.” He added: “How could you do that to somebody and literally look her in the face and start rapping about this? It’s on, and sh*t’s going to come out about you, and I’m not going to hold back.” As you can see, Jax has been tweeting about the incident in such a way that’s led fans to the conclusion that he’s planning to finally unleash the ass-whupping that James so richly deserves. When one Twitter user implored Jax to relax and reminded him that James isn’t worth going to jail for, Taylor replied, simply: “Yes, he is.” So it’s bad news for James, who may not have much time left on this earth. But it’s great news for fans of Vanderpump drama, as well as haters of generic, repetitive EDM. Watch Vanderpump Rules online to relive one seriously bonkers season. Lena Waithe Talks Yeezys, Jordans & Wearing Men’s Kicks While Sneaker Shopping With Complex [VIDEO]

Recently Waith linked up with Joe La Puma at Stadium Goods in NYC where she strutted around in a pair of limited edition Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 1/97’s (we hatin’) and talked about how growing up in the Michael Jordan era got her into sneakers and why it’s okay to still wear Yeezys even though he’s on his Make America Great Again trip. “You can say what you want about Kanye West but dude knows how to make a freakin’ dope shoe.” We’re kind of surprised that the alt-right hasn’t claimed Yeezy’s like they did New Balance. Just sayin’. Check out the video below and peep Lena Waithe admit that she doesn’t mess with women’s sneakers before drop a grip on a pair of platinum Nike Air Yeezy 2’s and Adidas NMD R1.

Jada Pinkett-Smith Opens Up About The Struggles Of Losing Her Hair

Go here to see the original:

Black women and hair loss is unfortunately a common pairing. This is largely due to the consistent reliance on weaves, wigs and braids. However, there are also many black women who suffer from forms of alopecia that don’t necessarily correlate to hair styling. On the latest episode of the Facebook talk show Red Table Talk , Jada Pinkett-Smith opened up about her frightening battle with unexpected hair loss. There was a time back in the day when hair loss was associated more with natural aging than styling, but then the widespread popularity among black women and weaves and wigs became something of a cultural phenomenon—and hair loss, traction alopecia to be exact, started to become too common. Actress Jada Pinkett-Smith recently opened up about her struggles with alopecia on the most recent episode of her new talk show Red Table Talk , with her mother and her daughter. Jada Pinkett Smith has opened up about her struggle with hair loss. The actress says it was terrifying when she first noticed she was losing “handfuls of hair” in the shower, calling it “one of those times in my life when I was literally shaking with fear” https://t.co/SExCPnDSCE pic.twitter.com/iUbyq7OlCo — CNN (@CNN) May 22, 2018 During the discussion she speaks about just how fearful she was when she started to experience handfuls of her hair falling out while in the shower. She also revealed that her alopecia was the reason behind her edgy short haircut that she debuted on social media a few months ago. Pinkett-Smith has sought medical attention for her condition, but at press time she stated that the tests haven’t revealed the reason behind her hair loss, however she suspects stress may be the culprit. Hello Beautiful reported on the increasing conditions of alopecia sufferers within the black community and whether you have alopecia as a result of your hairstyling choices, a medical condition or it’s hereditary, the shame often associated with it can be worse than the condition itself. Many women become conditioned to continue to hide their hair loss because of embarrassment, especially if they suffer from traction alopecia, which is self-inflicted, in comparison to traditional alopecia. This shame accounts for a very profitable business of hair restoration products, including oils, creams, treatments and hair masks that promise to restore your hair to its crown and glory. Sure, most traction alopecia cases can fortunately be reversed, but traditional alopecia sufferers are often not so lucky—and that can be a hard pill to swallow. In a world where women are often taught to equate their beauty with the length, texture, style and color of their hair, living with alopecia can be very difficult. Jada Pinkett-Smith acknowledged this in her discussion, but she also recognized the positive in such a sensitive situation. She expressed that certain things happen as a result of a higher power and if the higher power chose for her to lose her hair, in the grand scheme of things it’s really a small price to pay when you consider the other serious issues she could be suffering from. As a woman, specifically a black woman, your journey and relationship with your hair is your own and should never be compared or contrasted to someone else. Whether you suffer from any form of alopecia, use relaxers, wear it natural or love to rock weaves and wigs—whatever choices and decisions you make should come from you and no one else. If all else fails, simply wrap your head up in a colorful scarf and be the  beautiful queen you are.   Also check out THESE STORIES here: Chemotherapy & Hair Loss: What To Expect Hair Loss Vs Hair Breakage, Our Experts Break It Down!

For Discussion: Should Netflix Pull Their Hit Series ’13 Reasons Why’ Over School Shooting Scene

Image via JB Lacroix/WireImage/Getty Parents Television Council Want ’13 Reasons Why’ Cancelled The hit Netflix series 13 Reasons Why is again under fire for the second season. The first go-round of the teen angst series dealt with the very graphic suicide of a high school student who left her surviving classmates to figure out which one of them was ultimately responsible for her self-inflicted death. Season 2 deals with the aftermath, but adds a level of terror in the form of a school shooting. A parental watchdog group is now campaigning to get Netflix to cancel the series entirely, especially in the wake of the shooting at Santa Fe High School and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. We're issuing an urgent warning to parents and schools about @Netflix 's #13ReasonsWhy Season 2 and urging the company to pull the series entirely because of the potentially harmful content. https://t.co/tdMrXilYc9 — Parents Television Council (@ThePTC) May 21, 2018 How do you feel about this show’s depiction of violence and suicide among teens? Would you allow your children to watch? Should these type of shows be banned completely?
