Dorian Hunter Is The First Black Woman To Win ‘MasterChef’

F or the first time in MasterChef history, a Black woman has won the competition. According to Atlanta Black Star , Dorian Hunter edged out her competitors during the final cook-off of the show’s 10th season and took home the title. ‘MasterChef’ Names Dorian Hunter Season 10 Winner, First Black Woman Victor Wins $250k https://t.co/8DtxvraCtP pic.twitter.com/DueL05LG4D — Deadline Hollywood (@DEADLINE) September 19, 2019 Hunter—who plans on releasing a cookbook in the near future—won $250,000 and the opportunity to be mentored by the show’s judges Joe Bastianich , Aaron Sanchez , and Gordon Ramsay who also serves as MasterChef ’s executive producer. Her winning menu featured seared sea scallops with cornmeal tuille, sweet corn puree and pickled swiss chard. She served applewood smoked short ribs for her entrée and topped the meal off with a lemon blueberry tart. Hunter says competing on the show and coming out victorious has been life-changing and that she’s ready to continue her journey in the realm of culinary arts with her cookbook that will include soul food recipes with a twist. She also wants to use some of her prize money to open up a restaurant. “It is enough for me to at least feed the idea. I don’t have to go to the table with nothing, so I am definitely going to have to get investors or some sort of a loan, or find the rest of the money somewhere else, but it is going to be a nice start,” she told Parade . “I always say that having the title is more than the money. I am hoping to be able to work the title to, ultimately, open up that restaurant.” She added that she’s looking forward to being trained by the judges and says that their tutelage is more valuable than the money. DMX Reportedly Returns To Def Jam; Signs New Deal With The Iconic Label

Source: Victoria Said It/C McGraw / Victoria Said It/Carissa McGraw DMX Reportedly Inks New Deal With Def Jam According to XXL , legendary rapper DMX is back where he solidified himself as an icon. Def Jam has confirmed with that the former Ruff Ryders rapper has recently signed a new record deal with the historic rap label. If you recall, from the 1990s through the early 2000s, DMX was one of Def Jam’s top-selling artists. Releasing five albums overall for the label, including his two classic LPs, It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot and Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood , which both dropped in the same year. After being released from a West Virginia prison in January after serving a one-year prison sentence for tax evasion , the rap legend has been staying busy performing at old-school rap shows and recording music with longtime collaborator and friend Swizz Beatz. Swizz confirmed the great news of DMX’s re-signing during his interview with Power 105.1.’s The Breakfast Club . He feels that X’s new deal will bring him back to his legendary status.

Andrew Glennon: Of COURSE I Didn’t Manipulate Amber Portwood!

For the past decade, we've watched Amber Portwood on MTV. Honestly, she really hasn't changed that much. She said ridiculously awful things to the people in her life then, and we've heard her do the same now — if anything, she's gotten worse. But somehow, someway, there are several Teen Mom fans who feel the need to defend Amber in the wake of her domestic violence arrest. And Andrew Glennon is not having it. 1. The Arrest Before July 5th, a lot of people thought that Amber’s relationship with Andrew was going OK. But then she got arrested for chasing him with a machete, and then people didn’t think that anymore. 2. So Crazy You’ve probably heard this story a billion times right now, but just in case you haven’t here we go — according to Andrew, Amber got upset because road work prevented them from getting to a fireworks display the evening before, and she went on a rampage for hours and hours. 3. Wow She beat him with a shoe — she admitted to that part, and police have photos of the bruises and scratches on his neck — and threatened to kill herself. She even allegedly took a handful of pills, but threw them back up when Andrew threatened to call 911. 4. Amber, No But things got even worse later, when she got so angry that she grabbed a machete she kept by her bed (we later learned that the machete is just one of the many, many weapons she keeps in her bedroom) and chased Andrew, who was holding baby James, into another room. Andrew held the door closed with his foot while he texted 911 to let them know that he felt his life and his son’s life were in danger. 5. Thank Goodness Amber was arrested and ultimately charged with three felonies — two counts of domestic violence and one count of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. 6. Yay, Andrew Andrew also filed for custody of James. As of now, he’s got it, with Amber only having supervised visitation occasionally. View Slideshow

Anywho, in the interview, Lamar reveals that he and Sabrina will be doing a reality show together. The couple didn’t reveal where we could see it yet, but stressed it would be about “Black Love”. Other tidbits included Lamar sucking Sabrina’s toes for fun and he basically proposes to her on tv…but she’s holding out for a ring. YIKES.
