Source: The Washington Post / Getty Cokie Roberts Dies Cokie Roberts , the legendary ABC News journalist, and political commentator has passed away. ABC News reports that Cokie passed away from breast cancer complications. She was 75-years-old. “We will miss Cokie beyond measure, both for her contributions and for her love and kindness,” her family said in a statement. Cokie named a “Living Legend” by the Library of Congress in 2008. She also won three Emmys and was inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame and was cited by the American Women in Radio and Television as one of the 50 greatest women. She is survived by her husband, fellow journalist Steven Roberts, her children, Lee and Rebecca and her six grandchildren.

A recent episode of the family’s Facebook reality show Ball In The Family highlighted the rift between LaVar Ball and his son Lonzo Ball. Looks like we aren’t the only ones tired of LaVar Ball and his antics. Lonzo Ball who’s frustrations with the BBB has been well documented is also seemingly on the outs with his pops. Since his arrival into the NBA, Lonzo has failed to live up to the hype the patriarch of the Ball family created around him. His two seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers have been mid, at best, and marred by injuries. Plus on top of that, the brand that folks thought would revolutionize the athletic sportswear world, BBB has been looking real shaky as of late. After Lonzo accused Big Baller Brand’s co-founder of Alan Foster of stealing money millions from him and the brand. As a result, the only Ball to make it the league so far, distanced himself from the brand. He also covered up his BBB logo tattoo , and trash his signature sneaker the Z02’s in an interview. In the latest episode of the basketball family’s reality show, the rift between father and son is even more evident. Lonzo’s disdain of his dad is on full display as he opts not to partake in any activities involving LaVar. He reluctantly shows up to a meeting about the future of the brand and feels the brand should be renamed due to scandal. LaVar vehemently disagrees and takes a shot at his son in the process. “When I come up with a name, and there’s somebody telling me to change it, that’s like telling me to change your name. That’s like people saying, ‘Hey, change Lonzo’s name to Alfonso on the fact that he been damaged goods for the last two years.’” Looks like the Lonzo is genuinely over the theatrics and when he starts over fresh in New Orleans, he would prefer his father not be around. Usually, we hear post-surgery tales when they’re all nice and healed but Apple Watts took us on her breast implant journey on tonight’s episode of Love and Hip-Hop Hollywood , and it wasn’t pretty. Plastic surgery is big business because it’s popular. However, it’s so popular that people tend to forget that surgery of any kind is a big deal, particularly involuntary procedures done for vanity. I’m not knocking anyone who gets plastic surgery, but it’s important to research where you’re getting your procedure done. Apple Watts went to a clinic located in a strip mall in an effort to save money. Luckily for her, the surgery went well, I think, but she woke up in a lot of pain. She mentioned that the pain was worse than childbirth. Um, girl, whet? I’ve had a baby. That pain ain’t no joke, so I can only imagine what it must feel like to recover post-surgery. Anyway, April got the biggest size that she could in relation to her bodily proportions, so she’s not out here trying to look like a circus freak. According to WebMD , there are two types of breast implants: saline and silicone. Saline implants are filled with sterile saltwater. Silicone gel implants are filled with, you guessed it, silicone. While more women report that silicone gel implants feel more natural, but they pose a higher risk if they leak. Each has its pros and cons that you will go over with your surgeon. It’s not a procedure that is covered by insurance so you would be coming out of pocket for anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000. There is a lot to consider when getting breast implants, including the aftermath. The preview for next week’s episode shows that April Watts is going to struggle with being addicted to the painkillers. We already know, that’s a huge problem in the United States. We’ll probably get to see April work through it, but you never can be sure when it comes to reality TV.
