Paul McCartney Marries For Third Time

Former Beatle wed American heiress Nancy Shevell in London. By Gil Kaufman Sir Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell leave the Marylebone Registry Office after their civil ceremony marriage on Sunday in London Photo: Danny Martindale/Getty Images Former Beatle Paul McCartney married for the third time on Sunday, taking his vows at the iconic Old Marylebone Town Hall in London where he wed first wife Linda Eastman in 1969. McCartney, 69, tied the knot with American trucking company heiress Nancy Shevell, 51. Unlike his lavish 2002 wedding to former model Heather Mills, which ended in a bitter divorce in 2008, Sunday’s affair was a quiet one, attended by close friends and family, including former bandmate Ringo Starr and wife Barbara Bach, ex-Beatle George Harrison’s widow, Olivia, Shevell’s son, Arlen, and her second cousin, “View” host Barbara Walters. Shevell wore a dress designed by McCartney’s daughter Stella, and the “Maybe I’m Amazed” singer slipped a five-carat square-cut Neil Lane diamond ring on her finger during the brief ceremony. All You Need Is Love: Wish Paul Well On Facebook According to a report in the Huffington Post, McCartney “appeared proud, content and eager” to share his joyful day with the crowd that had gathered and “raised his bride’s hand in triumph” as they walked down the steps of the town hall after the civil ceremony. “I feel absolutely wonderful,” McCartney told fans as he arrived at his London home after the wedding. Stella McCartney also helped whip up a three-course vegetarian feast served to guests at the reception at McCartney’s home in the St. John’s Wood neighborhood on what would have been late Beatle John Lennon’s 71st birthday. Veteran TV presenter Walters is credited with introducing the couple four years ago at a party in the Hamptons in New York. Shevell was married to attorney Bruce Blakeman for 20 years before meeting McCartney. Related Artists Paul McCartney

Wiz Khalifa Didn’t ‘Plan’ Amber Rose Wedding Fake-Out

‘When we make it happen, we’ll invite everybody,’ he tells MTV News of last month’s supposed wedding photos. By Rob Markman Wiz Khalifa Photo: MTV News In his career, Wiz Khalifa has plotted moves that would take him from Pittsburgh unknown to certified rap star. But when it comes to his and Amber Rose’s rumored September wedding , Wiz promises he didn’t plot the fake-out. “That’s my baby. She’s always gonna be there, so when we make it happen, we’ll invite everybody,” he told MTV News. “I promise we didn’t do that on purpose,” Wiz said of the wedding-like pictures of him and his main squeeze that surfaced on the Internet. Though the rapper was dressed in a black tux and Rose in a white dress, Khalifa was simply in Vegas celebrating his birthday with his girl and a group of well-dressed friends. Wiz went on to release a viral video of him and the Taylor Gang flying out to Las Vegas to celebrate. “Man, I couldn’t plan nothing like that,” he told MTV News on the BET Hip Hop Awards black carpet. “I just be chilling. I just be wanting to have a good time, smoke, eat a little weed cake and — boom! — we got married.” After going public with their romance earlier this year, the Pittsburgh spitter appeared on our “RapFix Live” show and was joined by Amber in one of the live stream’s most memorable moments. The lovebirds have become the topic of much blog speculation, mostly due to the model’s previous courtship with Kanye West. MTV News caught up with the couple on the 2011 VMA black carpet, where Rose said that when it comes to marriage, she and her beau are going to wait a while. “We’re just going to take our time and just enjoy each other right now,” she said. “We’re both really busy and we work really hard, and when the time comes, it’s gonna come.” Did you think Wiz and Amber tied the knot last month? Rachel Uchitel and boyfriend Matt Hahn got married impulsively Sunday, after attending the wedding of one of their friends. We broke the story about the marriage, and now we know the details. Rachel and Matt went to the marriage bureau at the courthouse on Sunday to get a marriage license, then went to the legendary Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, where Bruce Willis married Demi Moore, and Britney Spears married whatshisname. At 11 PM Sunday, Rachel, Matt and 12 friends danced into the chapel to the song, “Single Ladies.” After the ceremony, they danced out of the chapel to the song, “That’s What You Get for Waking Up in Vegas.” They didn’t party afterwards. Rachel and Matt went back to her grandmother’s house at midnight, where they were staying. No, seriously. Is today the international month of redemption for women with questionable pasts or something? Because we know more than a few people who might be interested in that kind of information.

Where Will Bruno Mars’ ‘Rain’ Fall In ‘Breaking Dawn’?

MTV News takes a closer listen to ‘It Will Rain’ for lyrical clues about its placement in the film. By Jocelyn Vena and Amy Wilkinson Bruno Mars Photo: Jemal Countess/Getty Images On Tuesday (September 27), Bruno Mars dropped the sweeping, heartbreaking “It Will Rain,” the lead single from the “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” soundtrack , which drops November 8. The Smeezingtons-produced song is all about the pain someone feels when they are deeply in love. On it, Mars croons tortured lines like “There’s no religion that could save me/ No matter how long my knees are on the floor/ So keep in mind all the sacrifices I’m making/ To keep you by my side/ And keep you from walking out the door.” While Twilighters will have to wait until November 18 to find out where the song will be featured in the flick, there are several lyrical cues that offer hints. Hit play on the embedded video as we talk through the song, then read on for a deeper exploration. The Wedding Of course it won’t appear in the actual wedding scene, like when Bella walks down the aisle, but lines like “I’ll never be your mother’s favorite/ Your daddy can’t even look me in the eye/ If I was in their shoes I’d be doing the same/ Say, ‘There goes my little girl/ Walking with that troublesome guy’ ” certainly mirror Charlie’s feelings about the nuptials. Jacob’s Goodbye When Mars sings, “Don’t you say goodbye/ Don’t you say goodbye/ I’ll pick up these broken pieces till I’m bleeding/ If that’ll make it right,” it seems to mimic the heartbreak Jacob feels as he sees Bella marry another man and says goodbye to her once more. The Honeymoon Sure, the song is about heartbreak and pain, but the sexy, sultry nature of the track could make for the right kind of mood-setter as Bella and Edward finally get it on. The Pregnancy As Mars cries, ” ‘Cause there’ll be no sunlight/If I lose you, baby/ There’ll be no clear skies/ If I lose you, baby/ And just like the clouds, my eyes will do the same/ If you walk away, every day it’ll rain,” it mirrors Edward’s angst as he thinks he might lose Bella if she has their child, a vampire/human hybrid. Where do you think Bruno’s song would fit? Share your ideas in the comments! Next to saying the vows, watching a couple have their first dance is the most moving part of a wedding. That’s the moment when nobody in the world matters except your new spouse. As a guest, you get to see how deep the love between the couple is simply by the way they stare into each other’s eyes during their first dance. Since the summer weding season is winding down, The Urban Daily put together a list of the top wedding songs in no particular order. Kenny Lattimore – “For You” If you’ve to a wedding and haven’t heard this song, question the DJ’s abilities. “For You” is enveloped in romance and pure emotion. We find a man not afraid to express the love he has for his queen. Don’t let the groom start whispering the lyrics to his bride as the song plays. The reception might have to be cut short, if you catch what I’m throwing at you. Luther Vandross – “Here And Now” With Luther as R&B’s perennial lothario, there is no way this could exist without this song. The lyrics to “Here an Now” practically read like vows themselves. “Here and now/I promise to love faithfully /You’re all I need” Enough said. Monica – “Angel of Mine” This Georgia songbird had one of her biggest hts with the Rodney Jerkins produced hit. Though many dismiss the notion of love at first site, Monica was singing about having an instant attraction to a person’s spirit. A spiritual connection before a physical one, that’s rare these days. Prince – “Adore” Prince’s duality when it comes to music is amazing. One minute he’s tricking with a darling named Nikki and in another moment he’s so deep in love he can’t find the words to express it. “Adore ” is one of the most sizzling and devoted songs The Purple One has ever recorded. When a man tells you, “You can burn up my clothes, smash up my ride.” That’s way more than love. No one captures those moments in song better than Prince. Sade – “No Ordinary Love” Sade’s first single from her fourth album has been a wedding staple since its release in 1992. Though the production is seductive, the words are honest. She sings of giving her man all she’s got, despite the fact he has made her cry. Sade just couldn’t help falling in love and most newlyweds identify with those emotions. Anita Baker – “Sweet Love” Anita Baker is the queen of love songs. The only other person to match her catalog of love tracks is Luther Vandross. With “Sweet Love,” Anita steps into the role of a woman unshamed to say how much she loves her man. “Sweet Love” illustrates what a true marriage is-a partnership based on love and commitment. Michael Jackson – “Lady In My Life” No matter how you look at it, this song is beautiful. Michael Jackson goes in about the woman he longs to spend the rest of his life with. The song begins with sweet whispers of love and mounts in intensity until MJ is hollering, ” I love you. I love you. I need you. I want you, Babe!” what more needs to be said? “I do.” K-Ci and JoJo – “All My Life” If you’ve been to a wedding after 1998, you are probably sick of this song as a wedding song. Although, it’s the perfect soundtrack for a wedding, hearing it at yours, your cousin’s, your best friend’s, your uncle’s, and everybody else you know’s wedding is a bit much. Even though we get sick of it when we have to go to more than one wedding in a month, we love the sentiments behind the track. That’s pure unadulterated love codensed into a five minute song. Eric Benet and Tamia – “Spend My Life With You” This love song is about being comfortable in your relationship. “Spend My Life With You” celebrates simple things like waking up next to each other and looking into each other’s eyes. Eric Benet and Tamia’s duet has slid out of speakers at weddings and is sure to continue to be a wedding ballad for the rest of all time. Lionel Richie and Diana Ross – “Endless Love” You can’t bring up weddings and love without talking about the epic Lionel Richie and Diana Ross cut. the sweeping strings and saccharine words make you wish you had that type of love. If you have that kind of love, “Endless Love” makes you want to hold on to it forever. Related Posts: Kim K. & Kris Humphries Wed In California, Details Inside!
