Everyone likes to look their best for a photo opportunity, right? Nobody wants a picture taken in which they are not comfortable with so it makes sense that as a society we tend to use filters and things to enhance our look in the image. A U.K. based mother named Tova Leigh wanted the world to know that looking great did not have to mean returning to the 17th century by saying that corsets are a thing of the past and should remain that way. The picture and post about body image went viral, garnering a lot of support across the internet. Read the full, empowering statement for yourself: I keep seeing ads for corsets everywhere. You know, the ones that suck your belly in and make your waist look tiny while also giving you constipation. Well, let me tell you something: Last time I wore any type of corset was on my wedding day, exactly 8 years ago. I remember hiding behind a massive bush in the garden, and my mom loosening the damn thing cos I could barely breathe. Sure, after that my boobs didn’t look as fab as they did when the day started, but I was actually able to eat the food I had paid for and do another amazing thing – it’s called sitting down. So unless It is officially the 17th century again, I’d like to ask whoever came up with the idea that women in 2017 need to look like Jessica Rabbit, to kindly shove their corsets up their ass and let me enjoy my mom tum in peace. ♡♡♡ #BodyImage #moms #mums #motherhood #MomLife #parenting #parents #reallife #family #love #bodyshaming #fuckbodygoals The picture Tova had taken of herself certainly showed off her good looks, but the mother of three felt guilty about the number of filters she used to show herself in the best light and decided to show off what actually goes into making these selfies. She did so with a behind the scenes picture of how the original picture was taken. This picture was accompanied by another empowering statement. Last week I shared the “perfect” selfie on Instagram (see the small image on the bottom left). It got a whole lot of “likes”, friends told me I was sexy and I even made it my new profile picture on Facebook. Today I am sharing the ‘behind the scenes’ of that image. How I actually looked when it was taken, without 20 attempts to get it right, without cropping out the bits I don’t like and without adding the ‘make me look pretty’ filter. You see, over in the weekend I read an article about how more and more people are feeling depressed and insecure because of all the images of “perfect” looking people on social media, which they perceive to be real. Well let me tell you something: THIS IS REAL. In all my mum-tum, cellulitis, granny pants and absolutely zero thigh gap glory! Not the perfect sexy body by some dictated standard, but imperfectly fabulous because it is real and it is mine. So next time you see a “perfect” image on IG or FB that makes you feel bad, remember this: Social media is full of shit. You are beautiful just the way you are. And there is nothing sexier than being real. Tova ♡♡♡ #KeepingItReal #women #fuckbodygoals #BodyImage Pictures on social media always tend to look very professional, and part of the reason for that is the multitude of filters that are readily available to improve the look of the subject. Tova found this information out in an article which also said that these images could make people feel depressed as they think of their imperfections. Tova opened up to Huffington Post about what made her take the pictures and why she felt it was important. “They’re obviously still not on social media, and I sometimes worry about when they will be,” she explained. “As somebody who uses social media quite a bit for my work, I am well aware of how misleading it can be, and at the age of 41 I take things with a pinch of salt as I know that what I see is not always reality. “ “In reality, I was standing in my underwear in my bathroom facing a window, so I had really good light,” she recalled. “I had a mirror in front of me, and I must’ve tried at least 20 times before I got the perfect shot.” Tova then revealed that she felt like she was a fraud after all the likes on the original image. “It did not represent what that moment really looks like, so I decided to share the truth.” Despite her apprehension at sharing an image, she is happy she did because of the outcry of support she has received from people around the world. “We live in a world and a society that puts a lot of pressure on women, young girls teenagers, etc. to look a certain way,” she told HuffPost. “We tend to share the good moments and the attractive bits about our lives which I guess is understandable, but at the same time is very misleading.” She added, “If you look at social media you will see that 99 percent of images look perfect. But how does that even make sense? Life is not perfect. We are not perfect. And that was the point I was trying to get across: We’re not perfect but that is totally OK. Being real is far more powerful than being perfect.” What do you think about all of this? Sound off below! View Slideshow: 10 Most-Liked Instagram Photos of 2016

Zach Roloff is a brand new father. But he may need to face down some old demons in the years ahead. The Little People, Big World star welcomed a son named Jackson into the world on May 12, posing for a couple photos with the newborn and his wife, Tori. Said the reality star in a statement at the time: “Baby and mother are doing great and Jackson is already mastered holding daddy’s fingers and snuggling with mom! He is adorable and Tori and I are loving being parents.” Since this special development, Zach has opened up in more depth about his son. As relayed to People Magazine in an exclusive interview, the Roloffs learned that Jackson carried the dwarf gene (achondroplasia) when Tori was 34 weeks along. They broke this news to their family, but withheld the information from the public until just a few days ago. For Zach, the challenge that this will present is to ensure his child doesn’t suffer in the same way as he did while growing up. “I grew up with the name-calling,” the 27-year old tells People , adding: “I look at my childhood and being a boy on the farm, it was a little tough because boys are very alpha-doggy and follow the pack. “I was always chasing the back and way behind the pack. It was tough.” (Men with the genetic condition of achondroplasia grow an average height of 4’4″ … with a normal lifespan; babies, meanwhile, may experience breathing problems and delays in muscle development.) Having a son who is like himself means that Zach and Tori will need to be especially helpful and positive when it comes to how Jackson sees both himself and the world. But they are up for this unique challenge. “You have to encourage a dwarf child a little more because it will take them five steps to do what others can do in two,” explains Roloff. “But I knew, dwarf or not, I was going to parent my child with the mentality that not everyone gets a trophy. You have to earn it.” On an earlier episode of his family’s TLC series, Zach opened up to his mother about concerns for Jackson. Prior to the baby being born, Zach reiterated how his childhood was “tough” and how he was worried it would be the same for his impending son. “You can’t keep up,” Zach said to Little People, Big World star Amy, remembering what life was like for him many years ago. “You can’t out-climb the other boys on the trees, you can’t outrun the other boys…Remember when I would come crying to you?” Yes , Amy told her son. She did remember that. But there’s reason for optimism. There’s a reason for Zach to feel better about what may be awaiting his son once he enters elementary school and middle school. “The world is changing. People are more open to diversity,” says the reality star and soccer coach, concluding of little Jackson: “Whatever he wants to do, we’re going to find a way to help him do it. That’s our job in life now.” In the end? Jackson is happy and Jackson is healthy. “That’s all that matters,” Zach tells People. Why does Teen Mom insist on constantly breaking our hearts? To be fair, the show usually has a good balance of heartbreaking content and pure reality show trash , so we guess we’ll get it a pass. But it seems like lately, Teen Mom OG has just been serving up tragic situation after tragic situation, and we need a break. The most recent episode showed Maci Bookout seriously concerned over an unnamed issue with her ex, Ryan Edwards, and we also saw Amber Portwood in a very sketchy situation with Matt Baier at a Vegas wedding chapel. In the first sneak peek for Monday night’s episode, Amber was upset again, this time over the death of her father. And now, in a brand new clip from tomorrow’s show, we’re seeing the moms get real about postpartum depression. Amber, Maci, and Catelynn Lowell are still in Puerto Rico will their respective guys, Matt, Taylor McKinney, and Tyler Baltierra, doing some grilling and drinking some beers. They marvel about being on a vacation without kids, and Catelynn comments that one day, she’ll have more children . She and Tyler, of course, are parents to little Nova, and they also had another child, Carly, that they placed for adoption. Maci advises her to have all the kids she wants now to “get it over with,” but Tyler comes back with “Yeah, but listen, postpartum is like …” Well, we’re not sure exactly what he said because it was too heavily censored, but it’s clear he doesn’t have the warmest feelings for it. During the last season of Teen Mom OG, we saw Catelynn suffering from postpartum depression , so much that she had to go away to a rehab facility. It’s clear that she still struggles with it, even now. Maci reveals that she shared Catelynn’s struggle after she gave birth to her daughter, Jayde, but it was easier for her once she realized it was normal. Tyler says that it was a little strange having Nova because “The only love we knew was for Carly, who was like, not even with us.” When Maci tells them they made the right decision in placing Carly for adoption, they agree, but things get a little tense. “It would’ve been really easy,” Catelynn begins, “I could have been super selfish and brought her home and not gave a f-ck about her future or … ’cause I just wanted her.” Tyler, who seems to know what’s coming, says “Oh lord, here it goes,” as Catelynn gets up and walks off by herself. “She gets bothered about Carly,” he explains to the others when she’s gone. “She tries to be happy, but it bothers her bad.” “She’s got a lot of guilt,” he continues. “When you’re 16, you’re so scared, you place a child, then you’re 24 and you have one that you actually raise, and you’re like ‘Wow, I could have like a seven-year-old, eight-year-old running around.'” “It just makes you question everything.” It sounds like an unbelievably difficult situation to be in, and while Catelynn has nothing to feel guilty about, it’s definitely understandable for her to be upset. Way to bring the tears yet again, Teen Mom. View Slideshow: Teen Mom & Teen Mom 2: The Complete Babies and Children Guide!

Great news for fans of Miranda Kerr, and for fans of love stories and happy endings everywhere! Yesterday Miranda married Evan Spiegel! She’d been friends with the Snapchat CEO for a while, but they began dating in 2015, two years after she divorced Orlando Bloom . They announced their engagement in July of last year, and now, they are husband and wife. It’s enough to make you swoon, right? But, if you’re not prone to swooning, you may need to wait to hear all the lovely details of the happy couple’s special day. According to a report from E! News, Miranda and Evan held the wedding at their home in Brentwood, California. A source says that “It was a small intimate wedding” with less than 50 guests, and that Miranda looked like a “natural princess.” It’s Miranda Kerr — we definitely believe it. “The vows were beautiful,” the source adds, claiming that both the bride and groom were crying during the ceremony, which reportedly lasted 20 minutes. After Miranda and Evan were named husband and wife, everyone cheered, because really, why wouldn’t you? Another of the lucky few guests reveals that prior to the wedding, cocktails were served while a pianist and a string quartet played songs like “When You Wish Upon a Star.” That guest also described the decorations as “rustic chic,” which makes sense for what had to have been one of the most glamorous backyard weddings in history. “Everything was done elegantly,” with a variety of white seating options and pale pink roses. But while the affair sounds just as classy as classy can be, we have to imagine it was also pretty adorable. After all, Miranda announced the engagement on Snapchat with a photo of her ring and a cartoon filter — they’re classy, but not stuffy . In fact, they’re so not stuff that there’s a good chance Orlando Bloom was on that extremely short guest list. They share a son, five-year-old Flynn, and they’ve proven themselves to be remarkably great at co-parenting. Not only that, but Orlando was photographed out and about with Miranda’s father the day before the wedding. Seems like things couldn’t be going better for Miranda, huh? Congrats to the brand new husband and wife!

Indian Woman Disfigured By Acid Attack Marries Man She Met On Misdialed Call This is a really sweet and heartwarming story. An Indian woman named Lalita Ben Bansi had her bridal dreams come true last week when she wed her true love Ravi Shankar at the Thane registration office near Mumbai on May 23rd. Lalita suffered horrific facial burns five years ago when her hatin’ azz cousin threw acid in her face five years ago. She’s been through 17 surgeries since then but was blessed to meet Shankar after she misdialed a phone call! Via Life & Style reports: “I didn’t know a wrong number would set everything right in my life,” Bansi said, according to British newspaper Metro . “I am feeling very happy. I had never thought that I would ever get married. He has a big heart and a beautiful mind.” ‘He knew everything about me and was well aware of my looks, but he still kept on his promise to marry me. I am so proud to have a partner like him.’ Their love hasn’t been without its obstacles, but Ravi, who works as a CCTV operator and owns a petrol pump (gas station?) was determined to make Lalita happy. “I had to only convince my mother to accept my choice. I had to make Lalita believe that she too had the right to a better life,” he said. “Her heart is pure and that is what matters the most.” Ravi even says he’s happy to settle down in Ranchi (where his petrol pump is) or Mumbai, whichever Lalita wants! Super sweet love story right? And the wedding was even star studded! According to reports, several Bollywood stars attended including Vivek Oberoi, who met Lalita at an event for acid attack survivors. We’re not sure whether we are more heart warmed by them, or the fact that the evil cousin’s plot totally backfired and Lalita came up even better than before. She’s got a great man and famous friends! Isn’t it great to see someone blessed after such terrible misfortune? Getty Images
