Is this the end?? Libya’s former rebels have surrounded the ousted dictator Moammar Khadafy, and it is only a matter of time until he is captured or killed, a spokesman for Tripoli’s new military council said Wednesday. Anis Sharif would not say where Khadafy had been found, but said he was still in Libya and had been tracked using high technology and human intelligence. Khadafy is trapped within a 40-mile-radius area surrounded by rebels, he said. “He can’t get out,” said Sharif, who added the former rebels are preparing to either detain him or kill him. Locating Khadafy would help seal the new rulers’ hold on the country. The announcement after convoys of Khadafy loyalists, including his security chief, fled across the Sahara into Niger in a move that Libya’s former rebels hoped could help lead to the surrender of his last strongholds. Some former rebels depicted the flight to Niger as a major exodus of Khadafy’s most hardcore backers. But confirmed information on the number and identity of those leaving was scarce given the vast swath of desert — over 1,000 miles — between populated areas on the two sides of the border. In Niger’s capital, Niamey, Massoudou Hassoumi, a spokesman for the president said Khadafy’s security chief had crossed the desert into Niger on Monday accompanied by a major Tuareg rebel. “Frizz-head, we’re coming to get you,” some chanted, using a now-commonly heard insult for Khadafy. Sherri Shepherd was reliving her wedding day on “The View” and revealed some interesting information about drawls situation: ‘One of my bridesmaids, I think it was Niecy Nash, said, “Don’t wear any underwear”,’ Shepherd explained on Tuesday’s show. ‘They knew me and Sal had been celibate for 11 months, so [she wanted me to do] anything [I could] do to get him turned back on.’Sherri explained that when her microphone pack fell down the back of her dress she was left shrieking as producers started to lift her dress to retrieve it. She said: ‘They were lifting my dress and I was screaming, “No, I have no panties on,’” And one bridesmaid thought I kept screaming, ‘My pancreas! My pancreas!’” Uhhh, thanks for that visual, Sherri. Sherri was joined by fellow celebrity friends Elizabeth Hasselbeck and Niecy Nash among others. Both Hasselbeck and Nash will be bridesmaids and Nash, who is also a newlywed will walk in the wedding with her new husband Jay. The 44-year-old View cohost spent Thursday afternoon taking wedding portraits with her future husband Lamar Sally at Navy Pier in Chicago. Though she was dressed in a white gown, it won’t be the one she wears when she walks down the aisle Saturday. “Just put that on to do personal shots with Sal,” Shepherd tweeted. “You think I’d let him see it so soon?” The following night, the future spouses were joined by Elisabeth Hasselback, ESPN’s Tim Hasselback, Community’s Yvette Nicole Brown and Clean House’s Niecy Nash for dinner at P.F. Chang’s. Later that evening, Shepherd was sitting in her hotel room “when all of a sudden my bridesmaids burst into the room with their own footed pajamas.” “Just had the most amazing bachelorette party with my bridesmaids,” Shepherd tweeted hours later. “Much food, laughter and love in this room. Can’t wait to open my gifts!” Late Friday night, Shepherd posted one final tweet before her big day. “Going to bed now. Sal is in his suite. Kitty Lambert and Cheryle Rudd said “I do” moments after midnight on Goat Island, with rainbow-colored lights on Niagara Falls in the background. The couple have been together for more than 12 years. The New York Times reported that after a bell rang in the new day, Niagara Falls Mayor Paul A. Dyster said, “By the power vested in me by the laws of the state of New York, I now pronounce you legally married.” Lambert, 54, and Rudd, 53, kissed in front of more than 100 friends and family members, the Times said. “We’re so proud of everybody who crawled up this hill with us,” Lambert said Saturday evening before the wedding, BuffaloNews.com reported. In Albany, gay weddings began occurring at city hall, with the first couple mobbed by media, according to a Twitter feed from timesunion.com. According to a tweet by Danny Hakim, Albany bureau chief for The New York Times, Albany Mayor Gerald Jennings claimed he beat the Niagara Falls wedding with a private ceremony in his office for two longtime friends. “Done by 12:01,” according to the tweet. Whoever was first, thousands more gay and lesbian New Yorkers were getting ready to say “I do” this weekend, as the Empire State became the sixth in the U.S. to embrace same-sex marriage. A state law signed June 24 by Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo went into effect at 12:01 on Sunday. In New York city alone, 823 couples planned to wed. This is so sad: St. Louis police said three-year-old Lilianna Moore was home alone when she accidentally shot herself in the head. Homicide detectives with the St. Louis Metro Police Department were called to the Shaw neighborhood Tuesday night in the 3800 block of Flad Avenue at 8:40 p.m. in South St. Louis City. Police said the child found the gun tucked between two mattresses in an adult’s bedroom. The girl’s father was visiting a girlfriend at the time of the shooting. Moore was transported to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police have yet to determine if charges will be filed against the girl’s father or the other adult.
