Wendy, are you sure this is a good idea? The celebrated talk show host has signed on to be the latest star in PETA’s “I’d Rather Go Nekkid Than Wear Fur” campaign. According to Page Six reports : Wendy Williams will bare it all for PETA. The self-proclaimed “Queen of All Media” is the latest celeb to strip down and go bare for the animal rights group’s “I’d Rather Go Nekkid Than Wear Fur” campaign, which has featured Eva Mendes, George Clooney’s ex Elisabetta Canalis, Bethenny Frankel, Nia Long and Khloe Kardashian. We hear a sultry image of well-proportioned Williams will appear on a billboard in a campaign that will launch the week after Thanksgiving. “Wendy used to wear furs, and all types of leathers and more,” said a friend of the talk-show host, “but she’s had a change of heart.” Williams was expected last night at a PETA event at The Standard. We got a sneak peek at her speech, which said, “PETA’s legendary . . . campaign has turned a lot of heads and changed a lot of minds — including mine. I, like many people, was unaware of how animals lived and died for their fur, and I wore it without thinking much about it, until PETA came along . . . I’m thrilled to star in PETA’s next nekked campaign.” Oh well, it’s not like it can be any worse than the one Khloe did. We just wanna know how they’re gonna hide them TIG OLE BIDDIES!!!

For the record, contrary to previous reports, Demi Lovato is not dating Niall Horan . He’s an “awesome, sweet guy,” the singer tells the latest issue of Teen Vogue , but she isn’t in a place where she wants to be dating anyone right now. “I need to not be in a relationship for a while because I need to be okay with being alone first,” Lovato says. “I’m really happy right now. I never thought it was possible to be happy because of how depressed I was my entire life. But I feel so incredible. It’s like I’m living in a dream.” We’re so happy to hear that! Elsewhere in the interview, Lovato discusses The X Factor and the importance of her friends. A couple excerpts: On serving as a mentor : “There’s so much more to it than just being a talented singer. I’m going to help them mentally prepare for everything that’s coming… The second I became more centered and aware of who I am, my performances got better, and I was better able to relate to people. On the personal affecting the professional : “For a long time, I was pretending to be someone that I wasn’t, and I was miserable. When I came out and said, ‘I’m human, I’ve got problems, but I’m willing to share them,’ that’s when I started to really connect. I’ve just begun working on my fourth album, and I want to do that in my music too. I’m tired of songs that don’t have much emotion in them.” On her loved ones : “I’m consistently busy, but I make sure I spend a lot of time with my friends and family. I did kind of a friend cleanse right after rehab, where I weeded out people who didn’t have my best interests at heart. Now I have friends who love me for who I am and don’t care about what I’m doing. Most of them aren’t in the industry. Some of them don’t even know my songs!”

Fox is apparently casting its upcoming programming lot with the First Family of Reality Television. With Khloe Kardashian on board as The X Factor co-host, Deadline now reports that Kris Jenner is in discussions with Twentieth Television to host her very own talk show. Try not to squeal too loudly in excitement… According to the report, the show could enjoy a test run on various Fox affiliates as early as this summer. Jenner does have experience in the talk show realm. She has co-hosted The Talk and also the fourth hour of The Today Show . In the past, Wendy Williams and Bethenny Frankel have both tested new talk shows for six-week summer runs, and each got picked up soon after. So… would you watch a Kris Jenner talk show? Dang, Gabby has had it rough… She’s one of the most celebrated athletes to come out of the recently concluded London Olympics, but Gabby Douglas languished and suffered as a young gymnast in her native Virginia Beach, Virginia — where she was taunted by fellow gymnasts, sometimes even with racial slurs. Now 16 and in possession of two gold medals, Douglas (with mom Natalie Hawkins) told Oprah Winfrey on Sunday’s Oprah’s Next Chapter about the less-than-ideal atmosphere at a local gym. “One of my teammates was like, ‘Can you scrape the bar?’ And they were like, ‘Why doesn’t Gabby do it, she’s our slave?’” “I definitely felt isolated, I felt why am I deserving this? Is it because I’m black? Those thoughts would go through my mind,” said the champ, who became the first-ever African-American to win the coveted All-Around trophy. The teasing got so bad that, at age 14, Douglas threatened to quit the sport altogether if they couldn’t move away and find a new coach. “I felt like I was bullied and isolated from the group, and they treated me not how they would treat the other teammates,” Douglas admitted. Indeed, Douglas eventually did move to Des Moines, Iowa, in order to train at Liang Chow’s gym, where fellow Olympic champ Shawn Johnson trained. SMH. This just goes to show the levels of racism in this country. It’s crazy that this young girl who is so talented has already been exposed to such blatant hatred and prejudice. Source

Rielle Hunter’s new tell-all What Really Happened: John Edwards, Our Daughter, and Me contains many seedy revelations, but this one may take the cake. Elizabeth Edwards kept a photo of John Edwards and Rielle as her screensaver to not-so-subtly torment her cheating husband, Hunter claims in her book. In a book excerpt printed in People , Hunter, who bashes Elizabeth Edwards repeatedly, described how the cancer-stricken wife first reacted to their affair: “Elizabeth requested all the tapes (I’d made of the campaign, as a videographer). On one tape she saw Johnny walking into a room and his reaction to seeing me.” “She apparently told him that he never once looked at her the way he looked at me. So she took that bit and put it on her computer as a screen saver.” “The poor woman thought she was tormenting her cheating husband, using the image as a painful reminder of his foolish, political career-killing indiscretion.” “But in an attempt to punish John, Elizabeth was ultimately just tormenting herself.” If one can be tormented in the afterlife by events here on Earth, she likely is by Hunter and her book. Especially this excerpt near the end: “I’m still in love with John. That didn’t go away, shockingly enough. Marriage? I have no idea. I’m not a big fan of the institution, but never say never.” Except that Rielle Hunter and John Edwards just broke up. Oh well.
