Julienne Antoine told police that she went for a walk to help soothe her birthing pains and was approached by a man who snatched her necklace and walked away, knowing she couldn’t chase him. “I just couldn’t believe it. Who robs a pregnant woman? “There was a young man walking toward me. I just looked at him and smiled, and then he had something in his hand. Polling Stations Closed After California Man Goes On Shooting Spree Yet another mass shooting took place today…this time close to two polling stations in California, causing each to shut down and voters to scramble for other locations to vote at. At press time, it was unclear if the shooting was at all election related, though at least one victim was hit while on their way to cast their ballot. Via LA Times : One person was killed and two others were wounded Tuesday when an assailant armed with a military-style rifle opened fire in a residential area of Azusa, forcing authorities to secure the neighborhood and shut down nearby polling places — sending voters scrambling to find alternate locations. After a standoff at a home that lasted several hours, police announced that the gunman had been found dead in the residence. Officials said they didn’t know whether the man — who was described as heavily armed — was killed by police during a short but furious gun battle or from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. By Tuesday afternoon, Azusa police said it was too early to determine a motive. At least one victim had been on his way to vote, a law enforcement source told The Times. Sheriff’s Capt. Steven Katz said the violence was not related to the election and the location near a polling place was merely a coincidence, though he warned that all of the information was preliminary. SMH! At least we know the shooter won’t hurt anyone else. But so sad for the people who were just going about their day and hoping to vote for the candidate of their choice . KTLA-TV

Cop Files Federal Lawsuit Against DeRay McKesson For Black Lives Matter Rally An officer choosing to remain nameless is suing DeRay McKesson for organizing a BLM rally for the police shooting death of Alton Sterling, claiming he was severely injured by a riotous crowd which DeRay incited. “John Doe” says the July 9th rally was blocking streets, causing need for police to come control the crowd. According to court docs, this is where things went left. Via TMZ : The anonymous cop says he and his fellow officers were first pelted by full bottles, looted from a Circle K — and when the water ran out, someone picked up a piece of concrete … or a rock … and chucked it. He says he was struck in the face and went down hard. He says he lost teeth, and injured his jaw and brain. In the suit, he blames McKesson for inciting the violence. He points out tensions were already high because the Dallas PD ambush happened just 2 days earlier — and Alton Sterling had been shot by Baton Rouge cops on July 5. He’s suing for his medical bills and damages. SMH. Isn’t part of being a riot cop assuming these types of risks in the first place? And how can you blame someone who arranged a PEACEFUL protest for the reckless actions of a crowd — IF this is even what transpired??
