Muhlaysia Booker’s family identified her as a woman seen in a video being pummeled by a man after a minor traffic accident. The Dallas News reports that Edward Thomas, 29, was arrested Sunday in connection with the assault that was recorded on video. He faces a charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. Authorities say Muhlaysia accidentally backed into another vehicle Saturday and the other driver, who is named as a suspect in the arrest-warrant affidavit but who has not been arrested, ran her off the road to keep her from fleeing. The woman says the other driver pointed a gun at her and refused to let her leave unless she paid for the damage, according to the affidavit. A crowd that included Edward Thomas then gathered and “a voice on the video” offered Thomas $200 to beat Muhlaysia. The suspect then put on gloves to accept the offer and punched Muhlaysia several times while people watched. Another suspect jumped in and stomped on the woman. Muhlaysia was transported to a local hospital. She suffered facial fractures and a broken wrist. UPDATE: Muhlaysia Booker’s family tells me she’s home from the hospital continuing to recover. They say she’s got a broken wrist and several facial fractures. I am in contact with the chief and she assured me that the Dallas Police Department is fully investigating, including the possibility that this was a hate crime. Those who did this do not represent how Dallasites feel about our thriving LGBTQ community. We will not stand for this kind of behavior.” Thomas remains in the Dallas County jail with his bail set at $75,000. We sincerely hope Muhlaysia and her family get the justice they deserve. It’s obvious that several other people need to be arrested for their involvement.

A 15-second video shows a Sheriff’s deputy body slamming a sixth-grade student outside of Lincoln Park Acamedy in Fort Piece, Florida. According to an incident report obtained by WPTV the confrontation between the student and deputy occurred on April 9. Before the body slam, the student, who was not identified, had already been suspended from school for being disruptive in a classroom. Later he was standing outside “being disruptive” while waiting for his parents to come pick him up. Lincoln Park Academy’s Assistant Principal said however that the student was not supposed to leave his office and asked the deputy to help bring the student back inside. The Deputy reported that the student ignored his commands and “continued walking with his fist clenched and had an agitated expression on his face. His brows were turned down and he was punching his fist into the palm of his hand” before the slam. St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara is denying that the deputy used excessive force. “Our school resource deputy is very familiar with this student and knows he has a violent history, including possessing weapons,” Mascara said during a press conference reports WPTV . He added that a knife had recently been confiscated from the student and the student has to be escorted around campus because he’s been “physically aggressive to staff and students.” Do YOU think that justifies that body slam???

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said consumers should stop using the sleeper immediately and reach out to Fisher-Price for a full refund or a voucher. Major retailers sell the product from anywhere between $40 to $149. Fisher-Price also issued a joint safety warning with the product safety commission last week after the commission said it knew of 10 deaths since 2015 of children 3 months or older linked to the baby sleeper. The sleeper reportedly caused the children to suffocate after rolling over in the sleeper from their back to their stomach or side while unrestrained. Mattel said in a statement that it stood by the safety of its products but agreed to the voluntary recall “due to reported incidents in which the product was used contrary to the safety warnings and instructions.” A separate investigation by Consumer Reports connected the “cloth-covered cradle” to 32 infant deaths from 2011 to 2018, including some involving children under 3 months.

Source: Hero Images / Getty Mom Reportedly Attacks Elderly Woman After Cutting In Line Police are currently searching for a mother who allegedly grabbed an 81-year-old woman by the hair and dragged her to the ground after a verbal altercation outside of a movie theater on the Upper West Side in New York City . The elderly woman told NBC New York that she was waiting outside of the 84th Street AMC theater to buy a ticket for the movie Dumbo, which is when a mom and her two children seemed to cut the line of patrons. Even though the woman didn’t know whether or not the rude maneuver was intentional, she made a point of speaking up about it. “I went like this,” the woman said as she motioned with one finger to demonstrate how she touched one of the children. “Just the gentlest touch. I just went like that to her daughter.” The woman continues on to say that that’s all it took for the mother to become belligerent. “Well, she just opened up her mouth,” the woman said. “She became so violent. I was just, like, shocked.” After seeing how angry she was, the older woman said she tried to apologize to the mom, but that only seemed to provoke her even further; Eventually, the younger woman resorted to physical violence. T he woman said she felt someone come behind her and grab her by the hair. “I just felt this dragging of my hair, and I felt myself go down and crash,” the woman told NBC New York. She allegedly fell backwards, hitting her head. She was taken to the hospital soon thereafter, where she was treated for dizziness, pain, and swelling, according to a police report obtained by Yahoo Lifestyle . “They X-rayed the thing and they said, thank goodness, there was no bleeding,” the woman said. Doctors told her she was very lucky she didn’t sustain a concussion. The mom and her children fled the theater and have still not been found, but police were able to capture her on surveillance video. “The individual is described as a female, Hispanic, long dark hair, mid 30′,” according to the police report.

Y’alls sunken sister made an appearance in front of Congress today (really?) for a House hearing on white nationalism. According to Candace who was called by GOP lawmakers to speak on white nationalism and hate speech, it’s all a myth and the Democrats are too busy focusing on “fear-mongering, power, and control” with a goal to scare people into voting for the left. “We’re hearing [terms like ‘white nationalism’] sent around today because what they want to say is that brown people want to be scared, which seems to be the narrative that we hear every four years ahead of a presidential election,” said Candace. “The hearing today is not about white nationalism or hate crimes, it’s about fear-mongering, power, and control. The goal here is to scare blacks, Hispanics, gays, and Muslims, helping [Democrats] censor dissenting opinions … helping them regain control. “White supremacy, racism, white nationalism, words that once held real meaning, have now become nothing more than election strategies.” SIGH. And while Candace who brought her 74-year-old grandad along for the ride drowned on and on, things got especially interesting when Representative Ted Lieu of California played a clip of Candace speaking about Adolf Hitler. As previously reported Candace said; “If Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, OK, fine,” said Candace in response to an audience question at a British Turning Point conference about nationalism. “The problem is that he wanted—-he had dreams outside of Germany.
