Principal Scott Schmidt of Chapelfield Elementary in Gahanna called Aneka Burton to apologize for what happened to her son, Nikko, on Wednesday. Columbus station WBNS-TV reports Schmidt said no harm was intended. Ten-year-old Nikko says the class was randomly divided into “masters” and “slaves” and that the only other black student got to be a master. Burton says her son refused to take part in a simulated slave auction and was sent back to his desk. Burton says she appreciates the apology, but the exercise was inappropriate. Sounds like a helluva way to “educate” yourself… A Northwestern University psychology professor was in hot water Thursday for an after-class session in which a couple demonstrated the use of a sex toy. University President Morton Schapiro said he was “troubled and disappointed” by the February 21 incident and had ordered an investigation. “Many members of the Northwestern community are disturbed by what took place on our campus,” Schapiro said in a statement. “So am I.” Professor J. Michael Bailey provided his own account of the optional event in his human sexuality course, saying he wants students to learn about sexual diversity and information from “real people.” Students who witnessed the incident had been told repeatedly by a guest speaker what was about to happen would be graphic, the professor said in a statement. About 100 students chose to attend following a larger lecture, affiliate WGN said. The guest speaker at the demonstration had this to say: “We gave them plenty of warning. We had nobody leave at that point,” Melvoin-Berg told CNN Chicago affiliate WLS, adding the demonstration was meant to be educational. “We only got positive feedback, 100% positive feedback during and after. The students were respectful. They were smart and asked good questions, intelligent questions and seemed engaged in the idea of human sexuality,” Of course at least 1 student was a hater: “For me, I’m glad I didn’t see it. It was a little too explicit for me, and if I were in the class, if I would have stayed for the demonstration, I probably would have left. I know a couple of my friends did get up and leave,” student Diana Lorenzini told CNN affiliate WLS. At least one student wasn’t a f**king prude: Brianne Williams, another student, said “Dr. Michael Bailey is one of our finest professors here, and his class is about opening people’s minds up.” The school president goes on to say: “Although the incident took place in an after-class session that students were not required to attend and students were advised in advance, several times, of the explicit nature of the activity, I feel it represented extremely poor judgment on the part of our faculty member,” Schapiro said in his statement. “I simply do not believe this was appropriate, necessary or in keeping with Northwestern University’s academic mission.” These are students, but they are also grown a** people, and if they want to spend time out of class learning how to properly bust one off, then who is the University to complain? Jurors in the so-called “Harlem Kevorkian” trial have agreed that the stabbing death of a Long Island motivational speaker was a murder — and that the killer doesn’t get a break under the state’s “assisted suicide” exemption. The guilty verdict came four hours after deliberations began on the fate of hired-knife Kenneth Minor. Both prosecutors and the defense had agreed that debt-plagued victim Jeffrey Locker had cruised through Harlem’s streets two years ago, soliciting what he called “a Kevorkian.” Minor took the job — plunging a knife into Locker’s chest six or seven times as the two sat in Locker’s car on Paladino Avneue, and getting Locker’s ATM card and pin number as payment. Locker had staged the fatal “mugging” so that his family in Valley Stream could collect on some $17 million in insurance policies, both sides had agreed. But Minor downplayed his role in the stabbing, claiming that he merely helped hold brace the knife against Locker’s steering wheel as the distraught man thrust himself on it some half-dozen times. And while defense lawyer Daniel Gotlin argued that assisting a suicide is not an act of murder under state law, prosecutor Peter Casolaro counters that Minor was too active a participant in Locker’s death — and that you can’t stab someone to death just because they ask you to. MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. — A former Detroit Lions wide receiver who pleaded guilty to a second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge on accusations involving a then-14-year-old girl has been sentenced to spend two to 15 years in prison. Tommie Boyd appeared Thursday in Macomb County Circuit Judge Diane Druzinski’s courtroom. The 39-year-old from Shelby Township entered his plea in January in exchange for authorities dropping several other charges. Police say he grabbed the girl’s buttocks with both hands. The Detroit News reports Druzinski told Boyd he is “probably a parent’s worst nightmare.” Boyd also has to register as a sex offender and be fitted with a tether for the rest of his life, when released. Defense attorney Randy Secontine says his client is “extremely remorseful.” Not as remorseful as he’s gonna be when he gets to the whoscow and them boys start treating him like an underage girl… Source

Juvenile — birth name Terius Gray — was arrested in Louisiana yesterday for possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license … TMZ has learned. Sterlington PD says Juvenile was busted on a simple possession charge and released on $750 bond. Juvenile’s biggest success came with the 1998 album “400 Degreez,” which sold over 4,000,000 copies.
