Source: Larry Busacca / Getty There has been speculation for years about the relationship between Whitney Houston and best friend Robyn Crawford. Well, Robyn is putting an end to all of the rumors in her new memoir, titled, “ A Song For You: My Life with Whitney Houston .” In the memoir, she speaks of the intimate side of their relationship. Check out an excerpt from the book below. According to People Magazine, Crawford wrote in the book: From the moment Crawford, then 19, first saw Whitney (then almost 17) in 1980 when they were both counselors at an East Orange, New Jersey summer camp, she told her, “I’m going to look out for you.” And that’s exactly what she did for the next two decades as Whitney became a global superstar. “We wanted to be together,” says Crawford, “and that meant just us.” Whitney ended the physical part of their relationship early on, soon after she signed a record deal with Clive Davis at Arista. The singer broke the news by giving Crawford a gift of a slate blue Bible one day in 1982. “She said we shouldn’t be physical anymore,” writes Crawford, “because it would make our journey even more difficult.” “She said if people find out about us, they would use this against us,” says Crawford, “and back in the ’80s that’s how it felt.” And so, she says, “I kept it safe. I found comfort in my silence.” There was also pressure from Whitney’s family, including her mother gospel singer Cissy Houston. “Whitney told me her mother said it wasn’t natural for two women to be that close,” says Crawford, “but we were that close.” Their closeness spawned relentless speculation about Whitney’s sexuality for many years. “We never talked about labels, like lesbian or gay,” writes Crawford. “We just lived our lives and I hoped it could go on that way forever.” Crawford went on to say, “Whitney knows I loved her and I know she loved me,” says Crawford. “We really meant everything to each other. We vowed to stand by each other.” Crawford is now a fitness trainer and lives with her partner, talent agency executive Lisa Hintlemann, with whom she adopted two children. Your Thoughts?
Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz Meg Thee Stallion has a clear understanding how valuable her brand is. So much so she might have to put one of her former associates in legal check. TMZ is reporting that the Rap bombshell is flexing her legal muscle against ex or soon to be ex make up artist. Last month Akil McCoy took to social media to make sure the Houston native put some respeck on his face game. On October 22 she posted a clip from her Vogue feature with footage of her using an eyebrow brush. Clearly he felt snub and commented “Make Up Akilaface”. According to the story “The Big Ole Freak” rapper’s lawyer sent McCoy a cease and desist request. Apparently the letter stated that he is violating his non disclosure agreement by discussing his work with Megan. The celebrity website also suggests that if Akil continues to speak openly about their working relationship, even if the commentary is positive, he will be taken to court. First we were shocked and appalled at the sudden split between Kylie and Travis . We didn’t really see it coming, but immediately rumors started swirling that Drake was at the center of the split. Then things went even further as reports had the two continuing some sort of relationship. Well, Drake and Kylie’s people quickly shot down those rumors. Because nobody wants to see that mess, especially if it means we don’t get any more SICKO MODE songs?!?! Well, despite the denials, the internet is convinced they are still bumping bits against each other. Well, it seems the baseless contempt for Meghan Markle — a woman who’s worst crimes appear to be marrying the man she loves and devoting her life to humanitarian work — has reached the level of a global epidemic. At this point, no one in Meghan’s orbit is safe from the barrage of criticism and disparagement that endlessly issues forth from both the media and a distressingly large army of online trolls. Prince Harry, so recently beloved by the British press as “the Fun Royal” must now contend with bullying and harassment that seems to be motivated by nothing more than bigoted antipathy directed at his wife. Given that his mother was killed while fleeing a relentless band of paparazzi, it should come as no surprise that Harry has decided to take action by speaking out against the media’s mistreatment of Meghan and filing lawsuits against the worst offenders. Unfortunately, internet commenters are not bound by the same rules as the British tabloids (lax as those rules are). And Meghan’s most committed haters have figured out how to target her indirectly by taking shots at her friends and family. That’s how you wind up with idiot trolls swarming a photo of Meghan’s best friend, Jessica Mulroney. Jessica is a 39-year-old Canadian stylist who first befriended Meghan on the set of Suits . She posted the below photo while vacationing in the Carribean with her family this week. “Brings ten bathing suits… only gets to wear one on a balcony. All work no play in Cayman. I WILL BE BACK to play in the water with the kiddies,” she captioned the pic. Seems innocent enough, right? Well, normally it would be — but because Jessica is Meghan’s best friend , the pic attracted haters like flies to honey. “Does silicone float easily?” said one critic. “If so, no need for your kids to wear life jackets. The silicone on your chest should do that job just fine for them.” “You look amazing. No question. But how is this helping women …if they can simply never achieve the picture of beauty you are selling?” another commented. And believe it or not, some of the responses were even more rude and ridiculous than that. Thankfully, Jessica did not bow to the pressure. The pic remains on her Instagram page, and she added a little message for her most fervent haters: “Note to self. Never ever post another picture of myself in a bathing suit. Only wear parkas by the beach,” Mulroney wrote. “Apparently a picture in a bathing suit is offensive to my career, some followers, the charities I work with and my children,” she continued. “But guess what… I don’t care. Thank you to my supportive followers who stand up to body shaming. Everyone else, get a clue.” Fortunately, Jess also received a good deal of support from fans: “Thank you for not taking this picture down despite the criticism. Women should be empowered to own their bodies no matter what shape and size they are,” wrote one commenter. “You look amazing and should be damn proud of it!” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. After ages of silence, Selena Gomez has returned to us . By which we mean that she's making posts and music again. Some of that music has appeared to be directly aimed at her infamous ex, Justin Bieber, who got married just months after their last breakup. Now, a brilliant mashup of two of their songs frame the disparate tracks as part of a single conversation. Selena Gomez's lyrics in “Lose You To Love Me” are not what you'd call subtle or veiled. People spent decades debating the subject of Carly Simon's “You're So Vain.” Everybody knows that Selena's singing about the Biebs. Similarly, Justin's 2015 hit, “Sorry,” seemed to be offering a (monetizable) public apology for being a dickbag to Selena. Now, those songs have been fused into one mashup. It's a truly galaxy-brained decision. This isn't just some sappy fusion of music by a pair of exes. “It's too late now to say sorry,” Justin acknowledges in his song. As YouTube commenters pointed out, Selena sings: “Yeah.” It's no wonder that this mashup has more than 100,000 positive ratings vs only about 1,000 downvotes by, we assume, Hailey Baldwin stans. Andy Wu is the Los Angeles-based filmmaker, editor, and music producer who crafted the mashup. “It’s been 3 years since I made JELENA Megamix (2008-2016),” he acknowledges below the video. Wu adds: “Now their chapter is officially closed and done.” “I guess it’s time for everyone to move on,” he concludes. That is very correct. The mashup itself makes for easy listening if you're a big fan of both artists. If you're a diehard Selena Gomez admirer but can't often tolerate the sound of men singing, you may just want to stick to “Lose You To Love Me.” But it's worth taking a shot at the mashup, which we have included in this post. A lot of celebrities sing about their exes, but it's rare to see two such songs work together so very well. It's no surprise that Selena is singing about the Biebs … again. In late 2017, she and Justin reunited after he bent over backwards to convince her that he had changed … and that God wanted them to get together. They dated again for months, only to break up in early 2018. Whew. Just a few months later, Justin was back to dating his other ex, Hailey Baldwin. Weeks later, the two became engaged. We can't speak to what was going through Justin's mind at the time. Maybe he was just super inspired by Ariana Grande's engagement to Pete Davidson (remember that?). Maybe it was related to the controversial church that he attends — the same church that treats him like a prince and helps out on his “church dates.” Or maybe the Biebs had just reached a point in his life where he wanted to be married, and Hailey seemed like a solid plan B. As unfair as all of that is to Hailey herself (and we really do love Hailey; she deserved better context for her engagement and marriage), she's not the only victim. How did Selena feel after months of Justin insisting that they were divinely ordained, only to see him taking Hailey on the exact same church dates? Well, we don't have to wonder what she was feeling. She's expressing it all through song. At least in this mashup, she gets something of a real apology from the worst mistake she ever kept making.

Much like scrubbing the toilets and washing the dishes, taking out the trash is a chore that most of us dread doing. What’s even worse is it’s not something that you can procrastinate — unless, of course, you’re fine letting your house smell like rotten fruit or molded pizza. Not even your favorite scented candle or essential oils can mask that stench. You can’t escape handling gross trash, but you can at least do something to make the chore easier to deal with. Townew is a state-of-the-art trash can that is specially designed to seal and change the trash bag on its own, giving you one less chore to worry about. Yes, really. With just a touch of a button, the built-in thermoplastic sealing technology automatically seals the bag inside, so all you have to do is grab it. And before you can even return from taking it out, Townew automatically pulls a new trash bag in place. Each refill ring contains up to 25 durable and recyclable bags, saving you from having to stock it every time. It’s even capable of sensing when the can is on the verge of overflowing, and when that happens, the whole top compartment is lifted to seal the bag, avoiding any sort of potential spillage and messes. That’s magic right there. Join the thousands of Indiegogo backers who believe in the wonder that is Townew. It usually goes for $119.85, but you can take one home on sale now for only $105 . Music Vet Dame Grease Says Rasheed “ Ralo” Harrison Screwed Him Out Of Royalties The co-writer for DMX’ s hit “Stop Being Greedy” wants a man he believes stole his royalties to do just that. One of hip hop’ most prolific songwriter/producers – who helped to hone the Ruff Ryders’ sound – has sued a fellow music industry veteran for orchestrating a music royalty theft scam. Dame Grease has filed a $2 million lawsuit against Wonder Boy Publishing head Rasheed “Ralo” Harrison for tortious interference with contract, alleging he straight up stole Grease’s extensive publishing catalog from right under his and the record label’s nose. According to court papers obtained by BOSSIP, Grease said he inked a publishing deal with Sony 20 years ago where the company would oversee his catalog and he would retain 50 percent of his copyrights. But the writer said he believes Harrison forged his signature and illegally took over ownership of the catalog, and Grease said Sony hasn’t provided an accounting of his royalties for seven years. Sony/ATV Music Publishing and BMG Rights Management are also named as defendants for breach of contract, Grease’s amended complaint, which was filed Nov. 4, states. Grease is being represented by Lita Rosario, who also litigated Big Pun’s widow’s back royalty case against Fat Joe a few years back. “Actually, my first thought was to get on some street s**t,” Grease told BOSSIP about when he learned of the alleged fraud. “With selling 60 million records, I knew the residuals weren’t coming back. I was seeing royalty statements for a couple of hundred dollars.” The ghostwriter, who helped pen and produce classics from the late 1990s including Nore and Nas’ “Body In The Trunk,” The Lox’s “We’ll Always Love Big Poppa,” and most of DMX’s debut album, “It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot,” said he believes he’s not Harrison’s only alleged victim and wouldn’t be surprised if other big names sue him for compensation in the future. Grease, who is supporting two of his children in college, said he wants his catalog back, an accounting from Sony on how they allegedly dropped the ball and his back royalties plus punitive damages. We’ve reached out to Harrison’s lawyer, who said he was not involved in the case declined to comment.
