Source: FOX / Getty It’s the second to last episode of Empire Season 5 and tonight’s episode definitely did a good job of dragging out the, “Is Andre Seriously Going to Die?” saga. It looks like he is but again, you really never know on this show. Anyway, the episode starts with Lucious not wanting to accept that Andre is dying (he’s still the only one who knows out of the family). But Andre has accepted his fate and wants to die on his own terms. Lucious tells him not to do a dang thing until he talks to him first then he storms out. We see Dre carefully placing cards that he wrote out to all of his loved ones. Meanwhile, Cookie wants Teri to tell Andre she’s pregnant to give him something to fight for. Teri says she won’t say anything because she’s surprised that she’s even pregnant until she gets word from the doctor that everything is okay. Lucious gets into a minor car accident. It’s minor in the sense that he swerves off the road and hits a rail and keeps his life. He does get knocked out, though, and starts having dreams where he’s conversing with dead people from his past. Cookie’s cousin that he killed manages to tell him he ain’t ish, later on, he sees Shyne, and he even sees his dead father. The latter gives him the strength he needs to let go of Andre. Now we’re at a meeting at Empire with Becky, Giselle, and Patel. Jamal was supposed to be there but he’s on his honeymoon in Seychelles. Patel wants to know what’s up with the money and how is the tour doing. Then Thirsty interrupts with an Empire artist saying their checks didn’t clear. In fact, Empire checks are bouncing all over the place. It’s the feds again. They froze Empire’s assets. As a matter of fact, Megan, the leader of the pack, interrogates Cookie without a lawyer. Cookie demands a lawyer and Megan pokes at her about freezing Empire’s assets. Then she brings up Panama. She shows Cookies photos from her trip to Panama with Damon Cross and asks what happened between them. If Cookie snitches on Damon then Megan will unfreeze all of Empire’s assets. Cookie ain’t no snitch, and she ain’t no fool. Just the fact that Cookie is there without a lawyer is grounds enough to get her out of there. Cookie tells her straight where to go, too, before sashaying away. In the meantime, Becky, Giselle, and Andre, who isn’t even supposed to be working but everyone needs him, are trying to figure out what to do. Becky suggests throwing a new special concert, that is distinctly separate from the tour, where Empire artists are paired with non-Empire artists. There’s a venue that owes her a favor so maybe this could work. Now we’re the part of the episode where Lucious finally wakes up from his blackout to Thirsty calling and telling him he needs to get back to reality quick. Then we see a flashback of Cookie meeting up with Damon. He’s trying to get her to leave Lucious again. Cookie says she wants her hubby and her boys and the life they built, but she does tip him off about the feds since she’s feeling generous. Andre asks Kingsley if he can help whim reach Eddie Patel, who is literally at some billionaire boys club convention Silicon Valley. They have a quick exchange, and Kingsley says he won’t be able to get in because the billionaires don’t think too highly of him. He’s also skeptical of Andre asking for help. Andre says he forgives him and that he’s his big brother and that he needs him. That’s enough tenderness for Kingsley to wire him a crap ton of money, adding that it’s not half of what he owes empire, but it’s a start (later on we find out that Kingsley also gave him some leads on potential investors). Now it’s time for the special concert. Hakeem performs with Ty Dolla $ign. Tiana performs with Sevyn Streeter. And it’s a good night. Teri finds Cookie backstage and tells her that she got the test results back. She and Andre are expecting a healthy baby boy. Cookie asks when she’s going to tell Andre and Teri puts it off until tomorrow, obviously not knowing she may not have that long. Finally, the episode winds down with Lucious and Andre eating Andre’s favorite meal at a hotel, just before Andre plans to end his life. Cookie walks into her house and comes across the note he wrote her telling her about his heart condition and why he didn’t want her to know. She remembered where he said he was staying and rushes over there. She makes it in time just before Andre is preparing to take some pills, as Lucious watches tearfully, and busts everything up. She starts spazzing out on Lucious for letting their son kill himself so they have a moment where they argue. Then Cookie Dre that Teri is pregnant and that this is worth fighting for but the shock of Cookie already affected him negatively and he starts to have a heart attack and we end with them calling 911. Yup, they’re still dragging this out. Meanwhile, we just want to see if there’s a plot twist where Andre lives, or nah. The season finally ends next week. Source: Gary Gershoff / Getty Remy Ma In Police Custody For a few weeks now “Love and Hip Hop” star Brittney F. Taylor has been trying to press charges against Remy Ma and she’s finally got her wish. Fans are begging and pleading to see Jeremy and Audrey Roloff return to Little People, Big World . That would be amazing. For now, followers can listen to their podcast and, of course, see their updates on social media. Jeremy has revealed that little Ember Jean is now talking, and shared the cutest video imaginable of her doing so. “'Dhankoo dada' haha,” Jeremy begins his caption of this precious video. “Ember is starting to attempt every world we say,” he reveals. “But,” the proud father confesses. “This one is my favorite.” Well, it's both adorable and it mentions him. Of course it's his favorite. As you can imagine, Jeremy also used the opportunity to plug a new episode of his and Auj's podcast, Behind The Scenes . He writes: “P.s. new podcast dropped today and you don’t want to miss it.” We're sure that a lot of their fans are excited for a new episode; they've certainly done some interesting interviews. But most people's attention was fixated on the sweet little girl. (Ember Jean really isn't a baby anymore — at atlmost 20 months, she's a toddler) “Say: 'thank you, dada,'” Jeremy prompts his precious daughter in the video. He is holding her with one arm — something he won't be able to do so easily in a few short years. As he captioned, Ember replies with her best imitation: “Dhankoo dada.” Jeremy repeats her words, and then plants a kiss on one of her irresistible little cheeks. (Cuteness overload, folks) Up next, she babbles something that isn't super intelligible. Jeremy asks if she's requesting milk from her sippy cup. But it sounded to us like she was saying “cup” or “top.” We're sure that Jeremy knows his daughter better than we do, of course. But any of those words would be salient to the conversation, as Jeremy pops on the lid to her cup. Child development is a funny thing. Some children are fully conversant by almost 20 months. Others have yet to say their first word. Ember is somewhere in between, which is completely normal. Children reach different milestones at different ages because they are different people with different experiences. Ember is lucky to be surrounded by parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents who provide her with stimulation and enrichment. Of course, viewers don't get to watch Ember Jean grow and learn on Little People, Big World like they once could. Auj and Jer have offered up a number of explanations for why they quit the reality series. At one point, they suggested that God had called them to do something else — podcasting, apparently. Jeremy has also said that, since ha and his siblings never actually had a choice about doing the show, he felt it was time that he just … stop. He wouldn't be the first to make that choice. Molly doesn't even live especially close to Roloff Farms. And Jacob famously stormed off of the farm as a young adult, angry that he had been forced to do the show for as long as he was.
As you’ve likely heard by now, David Eason has been accused of shooting and killing Jenelle Evans’ dog , a small French bulldog named Nugget. At first, the accusation seemed too appalling to believe, even for someone with a well-documented history of violence and emotional instability like David. But earlier today, Eason admitted to shooting the dog in a shocking Instagram rant, in which he claimed Nugget was such a vicious beast that he was left with no choice. In a newly-published interview with Us Weekly , Jenelle is now confirming that David killed her dog on a whim, and she says she’s unsure if she’ll ever be able to forgive him. With the exception of 11-year-old Jace, who’s currently on a cruise with her his grandmother, we now know that all of Jenelle’s kids were home at the time of the shooting. Partially for that reason, Jenelle is “still shocked and upset” over what happened and is not currently living with David. She says Kaiser and Ensley “were inside and just got done playing” when Eason killed the dog, while Eason’s 11-year-old daughter, Maryssa “immediately went to her bedroom and didn’t come out all night until the next day.” “Kaiser and Ensley had no idea and [haven’t] said anything about it since,” Evans says. “David and I are not on talking terms,” she tells Us . “I’m too hurt and upset at the fact he did that. It’s taking time to get over this whole situation, and it’s making me feel he’s very cruel and doesn’t have a heart on many ends.” Asked about the public uproar and the demands that she be fired from Teen Mom 2 , Jenelle says: “[I] would like for everyone to just give me my own time right now to figure things out and clear my head.” Evans has changed her relationship status on Facebook to “separated,” and a source close to the mother of three tells Us Weekly that she’s never seen Jenelle more angry at David. “They are fighting really badly right now,” says the insider. In other news, we now know that the male 911 caller who alerted police to the shooting was Jenelle’s ex Nathan Griffith. Apparently, Griffith was upset upon learning that his son, Kaiser, had been on the property during the shooting, and he requested a welfare check from the Clark County Sheriff’s Department. “The male caller referenced making sure his son was safe because his ex-fiancée’s husband shot a dog in front of him,” says one insider. Despite the concern from parents and the public, it looks as though David will be off the hook unless Jenelle presses charges , which she apparently doesn’t intend to. We’ll have further updates on this developing story as more information becomes available. View Slideshow: David Eason: Damn Right I Killed My Dog! And I’d Do It Again!
Source: Scott Dudelson / Getty Prayers up. Geto Boys rapper Bushwick Bill recently revealed that he is battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bushwick Bill (@therealbushwickbill) on Apr 30, 2019 at 4:09pm PDT The 52-year-old rapper told TMZ he was diagnosed in February. The cancer is advanced so he is fighting it with intensive chemotherapy. According to Bill, he had a mass on his pancreas for months that doctors initially thought was benign, so the cancer diagnosis was a shoc. He also said that while he plans to keep fighting, he is also not afraid to die. Interestingly, he has yet to tell fellow Geto Boys members Scarface and Willie D about his condition. We wish Bushwick Bill the best and hopefully a recovery. Also, f*ck cancer. — Photo: Getty
Source: Splash / Splash News The Tekashi 6ix9nine saga continues to play out like an extended Law & Order story arc. In the latest episode, the Brooklyn rapper may take the stand against the alleged Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods caught up in federal racketeering charges. It’s already come to light that the “Gummo” rapper has been singing , hoping to get a potential 47-year sentence reduced to as little as possible. Although a number of the men charged have already taken plea deals, there are a few who may go to trial. If they do, Tekashi could potentially take the stand against them. Reports Page Six : While several Nine Trey members have already pleaded guilty to charges that include gun and narcotics charges, there are five others who may go to trial. A federal prosecutor told a judge at a hearing on Tuesday that the government is still working on plea negotiations with defendants and that the cases of “less than three” of the defendants may go to trial in September. The willingness of the tatted-up tattletale — whose real name is Daniel Hernandez and who originally hails from Bushwick, Brooklyn — to work with prosecutors has apparently already gotten him into trouble with former accomplices. According to court papers, the feds picked up a conversation between Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones, who pleaded guilty on April 4 to a narcotics distribution charge, and an unidentified man on a wiretap in which Jones could be heard saying that Tekashi would get “super violated.” As usual, real-life criminals, allegedly, refused to take heed to HBO’s ‘The Wire.’ As for Tekashi, the troll rapper was never about that street life. So anyone genuinely surprised that he’s acting like a civilian (read: if you see a crime, say something), wasn’t paying very much attention. — Photo: Splash
Source: Alex Wong/Getty Images / Getty Oh boy…. AG Barr Testifies Before Senate About Mueller Report There were fireworks in the U.S. Senate today and they were all aimed at one person who’s clearly not objective. Attorney General William Barr got LIT up today while testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee on the Mueller report. As previously reported Special Counsel Robert Mueller released his report on the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. In it, Mueller stopped short of saying Trump was cleared on obstruction charges. This came after Barr released that very short four-page summary of the report that clearly glossed over details and told the American people they should be “grateful” of what’s in the report. Mueller later sent Barr a letter complaining that the summary distorted the report’s “context, nature, and substance” and had caused “public confusion about critical aspects of the results” of the 22-month probe. Barr’s since complained that it was “snitty.” Read special counsel Robert Mueller's March 27 letter to Attorney General William Barr. https://t.co/skqhvRztPy pic.twitter.com/ccDINoprHB — ABC News (@ABC) May 1, 2019 Earlier today Barr defended his actions and responded to questions from lawmakers on how his office handled the release of the report. According to Barr, he did not exonerate Piss Poor POTUS and he’s not biased. Weird lie, but okay. “I did not exonerate” President Trump,” said the AG. “I said that we did not believe that there was sufficient evidence to establish an obstruction offense;” says Americans can decide for themselves. Following that both Sen. Kamala Harris and Sen. Cory Booker called on him to resign. Kamala first grilled Barr and accused him of being biased… “I think the American public has seen quite well that you are biased in this situation and you’ve not been objective and that would arguably be the conflict of interest,” said Harris. and Cory Booker followed by questioning his credibility. “We are going into an area where you seem to not even be willing to be in the least bit critical in your summarizations. I believe that calls in your credibility.” “I fear that you are adding normalcy to a point where we should be sounding alarms as opposed to saying there’s nothing to see here,” Booker said. Here is the complete exchange, via CSPAN, between Kamala Harris and Bill Barr — including the part where Barr couldn't say whether Trump or anyone in the White House has ever suggested that he open an investigation into anyone. It's worth a watch. pic.twitter.com/wJOdSFR7JR — Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) May 1, 2019 Kamala later told reporters very plainly that it’s time for Barr’s time to be up noting that he “lacks all credibility and has, I think, compromised the American public’s ability to believe that he is a purveyor of justice.” After questioning William Barr @senkamalaharris : “This Attorney General lacks all credibility and has I think compromised the American public's ability to believe that he is a purveyor of justice.” Q: “Should he resign?” Harris: “Yes.” pic.twitter.com/hh8rBVHBjj — CSPAN (@cspan) May 1, 2019 Cory B for sure agrees. Attorney General Barr answers to the American people—not to President Trump—and over the past 24 hours it’s become clear that he lied to us and mishandled the Mueller Report. He needs to step down. Add your name if you agree: https://t.co/x7KkyROdi5 — Cory Booker (@CoryBooker) May 1, 2019 Barr is now refusing to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. Do YOU think it’s high time for AG Barr to resign??? We wouldn’t be mad at it—AT ALL.
