If you've been following the latest royal gossip, then you're probably aware that there's something unusual about the most recent round of rumors out of Kensington Palace. It all started with reports of a feud between Kate Middleton and Rose Hanbury , the Marchioness of Cholmondeley and formerly one of Kate's closest friends. This developed into a rumor that Prince William had been caught having an affair with Hanbury while Kate was pregnant with her third child. It sounded too outrageous to be true, but remarkably, William's behavior in the week since the scandal broke has only served to bolster claims that he's in damage control mode after being caught red-handed. Here's a brief rundown of everything we know about the situation thus far: 1. Cholmondeley Chums Until recently, Will and Kate were close friends with Hanbury and her much-older husband, David Rocksavage, Marquess of Cholmondeley. (Because the Brits enjoy irritating the rest of the world, that word is pronounced “Chumley.”) 2. The Falling Out in Norfolk Until recently, Cholmondeleys were major figures in the society life of rural Norfolk, England. That changed when Rose suffered a mysterious falling out with Kate that left her persona non grata. 3. Will’s Wandering Eye The Cambridges seemed very eager to keep this feud quiet, which led to whispers that Will had been caught having an affair with Rose while Kate was pregnant with her third child. 4. Keeping Mum The alleged affair has apparently been the subject of high society gossip for the better part of a year, but fear of the future king among the British tabloid press is such that the media only began reporting on it in March. 5. Mystery Beef It was then that the Sun reported on bad blood between Kate and Rose, a former member of Middleton’s “Turnip Toffs” clique in Norfolk. 6. At times, the current season of Vanderpump Rules has felt like the final episodes of a long-running high school drama. The characters we’ve watched party, cheat, fight, and generate endless drama for the past several years now appear much too old for such shenanigans, and the realization that it’s time for a change is bittersweet. Sure, it’s nice to see the cast finally grow up, especially since some of them are beginning to show physical signs of age, and dancing on a bar while guzzling tequila straight from the bottle is becoming a rather sad sight. (On high school dramas, this is a result of Hollywood’s tendency to cast 25-year-olds as freshmen. On Vanderpump , it’s a consequence of the fact that most of the cast was already in their thirties when the show premiered back in 2013.) But at the same time, we’re more than a little bummed that we’ll no longer be able to bear witness to all that debauchery. As they approach their middle years, the most enlightened grownups realize that if you cling to youth, the consolations of aging — wisdom, stability, a greater sense of self — are lost to you. And astonishingly, it seems no one in the Vanderpump cast is more aware of this fact than Mr. Jax Taylor. One of the recurring themes of this season is the notion that Taylor has changed his ways . And while we counted ourselves among the skeptics at first, it now looks as though Taylor may have been speaking the truth when he stated that his father’s death had caused him to see the light. For one thing, Jax is soon to marry Brittany Cartwright . The wedding will take place in June, and will be featured on the eighth season of Vanderpump . So fans have quite a wait ahead of them — and it seems many are convinced that Jax and Brittany were themselves unable to wait for their wedding night. There’s a widespread rumor on social media that Cartwright is already knocked up with Taylor’s baby. And ironically, comments the couple recently made to the contrary have only added fuel to the fire. “I’m definitely eager to have kids and Jax is eager to have kids. He’ll be 40 two weeks after [the wedding]. I’m 30, we’re ready. We’re buying a house,” Brittany recently told Us Weekly . “When it happens it happens. We’re not going to be very careful. We’re gonna let it come with God’s grace, and he’ll give us a baby when [it’s] ready.” Jax echoed the sentiment saying he can’t wait to become a father. “We’ve been together for four years and my whole life has been a party, so I’ve done everything I wanted to do. I’m ready for the next step,” Taylor told the magazine. “I’m ready to have kids. I’m ready to be part of the PTA, soccer dad, soccer mom, gymnastics coach, whatever. That’s my next job.” Many fans believe these remarks are Jax and Brittany’s way of bracing the public for a pregnancy announcement — but we feel they’re reading too much into it. Apparently, her legal team is petitioning the court to allow her to enroll in a mental health program. “According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, an attorney for the former ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star is petitioning the court in her child abuse case to allow Tommie to get treatment for a serious mental illness. She says she was diagnosed before or around the same time as she was charged with child abuse, and her condition is a significant part of her case,” TMZ reports. “Tommie says she’s willing to meet a long list of requirements to enter the program, such as staying sober, submitting to random drug testing and attending self-help meetings,” she continued. “It’s the first step in a month-long process … applications are considered by a committee, which includes a prosecutor, and it will take about 30 days to decide Tommie’s fate. While Tommie doesn’t reveal her specific diagnosis in the docs … when she sat down with our Raquel Harper for a 2016 episode of “Raq Rants,” Tommie said she was bipolar.” Tommie Lee’s extensive rap sheet is well-documented , so we’re hoping this is the break she needs to finally get herself together, stay out of jail, and do right by her family. According to a new report, the venue will be heavily guarded to avoid a breakout of issues that occurred last week during a vigil for Hussle. TMZ reports : Sources familiar with Nipsey’s Celebration of Life at the Staples Center arena this Thursday tell us there will be an abundance of security from multiple agencies and organizations — all with the intention of keeping the memorial peaceful and drama-free. We’re told security on hand Thursday will feature a mix of muscle — from members of the LAPD, members of the Nation of Islam, as well as Staples Center personnel. Our sources say the LAPD is only on hand to offer assistance … helping to move traffic, keep the peace and to step in if needed. The reason for such a strong presence … our sources say a big part of it has to do with Nipsey’s family’s wishes in wanting to prevent further violence — especially in the wake of the chaos that broke out at Nipsey’s L.A. vigil last week … which cops now say left 2 people shot. According to a search warrant — obtained by TMZ — cops are still on the hunt for the person who allegedly pulled the trigger with the intent of killing others.
