What better way to start off spring than with a fresh new look! Teen Mom OG star Catelynn Lowell is ringing in the season by flaunting off her new and improved hairdo thanks to a refreshing makeover. Lowell took to Instagram on Friday to share with her fans how she got her latest long and beautiful locks, which was all made possible by the power of every girl’s favorite accessory – hair extensions! According to Pop Culture , the snapshots shared by the MTV star revealed just how she got an instant makeover with NBR extensions. “HUGE thank you to [Stephanie Gerber] in Novi Michigan!” Lowell began her post while publicizing her before and after photo. “She absolutely KILLED these NBR extensions on me and the color is to die for.” NBR extensions AKA “natural beaded rows” are extensions placed in rows within the hair by creating a “track” with an exclusive bead and string technique. Additionally, wefts — known as the “line of hair” — are then placed on the track and sewn in. The extensions are later cut, colored, and blended to your real hair to create a natural and beautiful look. Catelynn’s hairdresser Stephanie added to her post by saying that the process involved a three-hour color correction, a 3.5-inch haircut and 2 rows of NBRs for extra length. “It was a long process but it was such a joy to have her in the salon!” Gerber said. “She is just the sweetest person with the most adorable babies.” “Thank you [Catelynn] for allowing me to be apart of your transformation!” she continued. “I loved it and I love your positive laid back energy.” The 27-year-old and husband Tyler Baltierra welcomed their third child this past winter and well, she’s been spewing positivity and peace ever since. It’s no secret that Lowell is enjoying motherhood all over again. As most Teen Mom fans already know, Catelynn and Tyler are already parents to two daughters. The middle-school sweethearts — who married in 2015 — had their first daughter Carly when they were just 17 years old and their decision to give up their little girl for adoption was documented on the MTV show 16 And Pregnant . They still have contact with their now 9-year-old daughter through open adoption, which means she gets to see her 3-year-old sister Novalee sometimes, and hopefully will get the chance to meet their new baby Vaeda Luma . The TV personality nicknames Vaeda her “rainbow baby” because she says she was the calm after the storm. Catelynn became pregnant again late last year but sadly suffered a miscarriage. The couple’s devastating loss was documented through the reality series, which also showed Catelynn entering a rehab center due to suicidal thoughts from her childhood trauma. Although the family has certainly had their ups and downs, it seems they have finally found the light at the end of their tunnel. Just 12 days ago, Christina El Moussa debuted her baby bump and admitted that her pregnancy has been absolutely brutal. Now, she’s showing off her baby bump at 17 weeks with Ant Anstead by her side. This time, Christina is revealing her rigorous workout. Christina shared this photo of her with her man. “Thousand steps workout with the hubby @ant_anstead,” Christina writes in the caption. She then adds a blue heart emoji, followed by a yellow (gold?) star emoji. She adds the tag: “#SundayFunday” To remind fans of exactly how far along she is, she adds the tag: “#17weeks.” Christina El Moussa is pregnant by Ant Anstead and already four weeks into her second trimester. The world, however, only learned this exciting news a few weeks ago. Some people tone down or cut out their regular exercise routines entirely out of fear that it will impede the pregnancy. (Others stop exercising because the effects of pregnancy, including nausea and fatigue, simply make exercise agonizing or impossible) Clearly, Christina is willing to put herself through her paces, even if traveling a kilometer isn’t what most of us would consider rigorous . This will be her first child with Ant, but this is not her first pregnancy. Her son, Brayden James, is 3 and a half. Her daughter, Taylor Reese, is 8. However, Christina has admitted that this pregnancy is like none of those that came before it. “Maybe it’s my age (35 — considered a geriatric pregnancy) lol …” Christina wrote. “Or maybe,” she continued. “I just forgot how bad it was with Tay and Bray.” “But yikes,” she admitted. “It really blind sided me.” Christina and Ant discovered that they were expecting after their honeymoon. She says that, in addition to mood swings, she has experienced both nausea and exhaustion. On top of that, she laments that she’s had “too many food aversions.” Maybe she really did just forget about suffering during her previous pregnancies. Sometimes, the human mind glosses over some traumatic experiences, especially if they’re outweighed by so much good. But their may be another explanation. Humans stand out from other mammals in a number of ways, one of which being that the placenta is much, much more invasive. Pregnancy hormones are one thing, but the placenta has its own agenda and does not care about the mom’s mood or comfort. Much of the uglier side of pregnancy stems from the very taxing demands of manufacturing a tiny human body inside your uterus. Having different children with different baby daddies can lead to wildly different experiences because of the father’s DNA. So it could be that Ant Anstead just passes on some very demanding, selfish DNA. (Which is not a knock — it’s great for survival!) Ant already has two other children from his own previous relationship. But we somehow can’t imagine Christina calling up his ex, Louise Anstead, to ask what it was like to carry his babies. We mentioned earlier that some pregnant folks worry that exercising while pregnant will damage their baby. The truth is that if your exercise habits were healthy before you were pregnant, you can usually continue them through most of your pregnancy. If you didn’t exercise before becoming pregnant, a pregnancy is a bad time to start training for the Olympics. The bizarre saga of the NXIVM sex cult took another strange turn today. Former Smallville actress Allison Mack appeared in a federal courtroom in Brooklyn today and pled guilty to racketeering charges in connection with her involvement with the cult. “I’m here to plead guilty before your honor,” Mack told the judge. “I must take full responsibility for my conduct. I am very sorry for my role in this case,” she added/ “I am very sorry to my family and to the good people I hurt through my misguided adherence to [Nxivm leader] Keith Raniere’s teachings,” Mack admitted to her involvement in the secret master-slave group within NXIVM known as DOS. The actress confessed to controlling several slaves whom she forced “to perform services for me.” According to Mack, these women were made to participate in a system of sexual favors with threats “designed to make them think they could suffer serious harm.” Early in their servitude, the women were forced to hand over nude photos and details of their finances with the understanding that this information would be used against them if they failed to comply with all orders. While Mack admits to being a “master” in the NXIVM/DOS organization, she claims she acted under orders from the group’s leader, Keith Raniere. “I was a member of a secret society founded by Keith Raniere,” she told the court. “I concealed Keith Raniere’s role as the head of DOS.” Asked after her confession if she was of sound mind, Mack told the judge that she had had “one beer last night.” Mack was one of six people arrested last year in connection with the NXIVM cult. Raniere and Seagram’s liquor heiress Claire Bronfman were also apprehended and will soon face trial. According to prosecutors, women in the DOS program were branded with Raniere’s initials and forced to remain on starvation diets. One of the female leaders arrested last year admitted to keeping her personal slave locked in a room for a period of two years. If convicted, Mack faces up to 20 years behind bars.
