According to TMZ , the “production issues” that she was experiencing was really more of an issue for her band. Word is that several people have come down with an illness that has taken them completely out of rehearsals etc. Solange and co. tried their damnedest to get new band members but she felt like she just couldn’t give the performance that she wanted to give and decided it was better to pull the plug than to half-a$$ it. Maybe Solo will come back next year stronger like her big sister did.

Mcclain and 19-year old Quaimere Mohammed have been charged with murder after reportedly suffocating their newborn infant and throwing him out into a dumpster. Since July 2018, the Jersey Shore couple has been hiding Mcclain’s pregnancy from both their parents, and in March, she gave birth to a baby boy in her home. Reports say that Mcclain then suffocated the baby before the father tossed him into a dumpster. According to the affidavi t: McClain told police that several days before the birth, she had had a conversation with Mohammed about what she would do after giving birth. One option that the couple discussed was that she would kill the baby after the birth. Investigators said they were tipped off about the infanticide when a female friend of McClain’s contacted police in Asbury Park to report that McClain had given birth to a baby the week before who was now deceased. Mcclain and Mohammed have been charged with second-degree disturbing or desecrating the remains of their son. Both are currently in court awaiting their court date. SMH.

P hiladelphia-bred hip-hip artist Meek Mill has become a fierce advocate for criminal justice reform. The rapper—whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams —is pushing his fight against the unjust system forward by joining forces with lawmakers to propose a probation and parole reform bill, the Chicago Crusader reported. The alliance was formed to unite leaders across different industries so that they can work towards changing the landscape of our country’s unjust judicial system by shifting laws and policies related to probation and parole. The REFORM Alliance aims to free at least 1 million individuals within the next five years. Through the proposed bipartisan bill—which was unveiled by Williams, Rubin, Rep. Sheryl Delozier , Rep. Jordan Harris , and Van Jones in Philadelphia this week—courts would be prohibited from giving an individual consecutive probation sentences. Courts would also be barred from extending probation and parole sentences if an individual is facing financial hardships and is unable to pay fees and fines. There are other measures featured in the bill including the prevention of reincarceration for an offender who associates with an individual who has a criminal past or tests positive for marijuana and rewards for good behavior. Williams’ own experiences with the criminal justice system have inspired him to lead this initiative, especially in Pennsylvania. He was re-imprisoned for miniscule probation violations and received a two-to-four-year sentence in 2017 which sparked the #FreeMeek movement. After he was released he made it his mission to reach back and help other individuals who were in the same predicament but didn’t have the same platform. “This proposed bill is the first step in changing the criminal justice system and it’s only right that we start in my home state,” Williams said in a statement, according to the news outlet. “I’ve lost too much time away from my son, my family, my friends and fans in Philly because of outdated probation laws, so I want to make sure people don’t have to go through what I did.” Pieces of legislation like the one that he and other leaders are introducing are needed. According to the REFORM Alliance, Pennsylvania has the third highest rate of community supervision in the country costing $200 million each year. Furthermore, there are currently 296,000 people on parole or probation within the state. Beth Chapman has been hospitalized in Hawaii. The wife of Dog “the Bounty Hunter” Chapman, who is a veteran of reality television herself, reportedly has trouble breathing, according to Us Weekly. This tabloid broke the troubling story and quoted an insider who says of Chapman: “Beth Chapman has been rushed to a Hawaii hospital with serious breathing issues. She hasn’t been feeling well of late and Dog is by her side. One thing everyone knows about Beth is that she’s a fighter.” That’s for certain. Anyone who has followed Beth over the past couple years is well aware of her grit and determination. The 51-year old underwent emergency surgery on her throat on November 27, 2018 after discovering the devastating news that her cancer had returned after she had seemingly overcome the illness. Since that time, she had been receiving chemotherapy treatments in Los Angeles, keeping fans and social media followers apprised of her journey throughout. In an emotional interview with DailyMailTV just over a week ago, Duane explained how the love of his life is preparing to die . She has every intention of making the most of every single second she has remaining. “She has told me repeatedly that if these are her last days on earth she wants to spend every moment with me,” he said in late March. Duane went on to say that Beth wants to spend her time “living life to the fullest, enjoying the time we have left together.” What an admirable attitude, right? Beth was first diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017. It returned last fall, with Beth confirming the sad development as follows; “After months of a nagging cough, a routine checkup resulted in a diagnosis of stage II throat cancer I have what is referred to as a T2 Tumor in my throat that is blocking my breathing. “My doctors are suggesting immediate treatment and surgery before the disease progresses.” Earlier this week, Dog posted a photo of his wife decked out in black and sitting in a car as she poked out her tongue for the camera. “Property of DOG,” he captioned the cheeky Instagram snapshot. Here’s a look at that recent image: Back in December, Dog also spoke to Us Weekly about his wife, her diagnosis and the future as he saw it. Or hoped to see it, at least. “I don’t listen to the bad news. I don’t want to hear it. … I pray a lot, anywhere. I cry all the time,” he said, concluding back then: “I’m a sinner. I pray a lot. I have done double that. I constantly ask God to heal my honey and make sure He takes care of it. I’ve been telling Him that I’m going to try and quit smoking and cursing. “I’m a dealmaker, and I’ll do anything.” Heartbreaking stuff. Source: Steve Debenport / Getty Indiana School District Packs Unused Food Into Take-Home Meals for Underserved Kids A school district in Indiana is reportedly launching a program that would allow schools to package up catering leftovers and send them home with students in need. According to U.S. News , a huge percentage of students enrolled in Indiana’s Elkhart School District receive free or discounted prices on cafeteria food during the school week. The resources provided ensure that the children don’t go hungry. Thanks to a partnership created with Cultivate Culinary School & Catering and other food-service providers, the school district is launching a program to send students home with prepared but unserved food from the cafeteria & other local catering companies. “Mostly, we rescue food that’s been made but never served by catering companies, large food service businesses, like the school system,” Cultivate’s Jim Conklin explained. “Over-preparing is just part of what happens. We take well-prepared food, combine it with other food and make individual frozen meals out if it.” The pilot program will do a test run by giving 20 students eight meals every Friday to be taken home for the weekend.

Probably not, wonder why that is… According to NYTimes , three historically Black churches have been set ablaze in the past ten days in the Louisiana parish of St. Landry. Police have found what are being described as “suspicious elements” at each crime scene and haven’t ruled out arson or the idea that all three crimes are related. “There is clearly something happening in this community,” State Fire Marshal H. Browning said in a statement on Thursday. “That is why it is imperative that the citizens of this community be part of our effort to figure out what it is.” All three fires happened on March 26 and a fourth fire was set that same Thursday that was said to be intentionally set in a the parish of Caddo. When it comes to suspects, motive, and potential hate crimes, the local police seem to be lost in the sauce. “There certainly is a commonality, and whether that leads to a person or persons or groups, we just don’t know,” Mr. Browning said at a news conference on Thursday. St. Landry is reportedly 56% white and 41% Black, but race relations are said to generally be good. But who are we kidding, it’s the deep South, racism is always a possibility. We hope that the cops figure out wtf is going on before another church burns or someone gets hurt or killed.
