Catelynn Lowell: Roots of PTSD Finally Revealed?

In the past two years, Catelynn Lowell has checked into rehab three times. While her journey toward greater emotional stability and mental health certainly hasn’t been an easy one, it’s yielded trendous results, making Lowell both a more fulfilled person and a spokesperson for those battling mental illness. Earlier this week, Lowell revealed that she’s been diagnosed with PTSD . “It’s panic disorder, PTSD – I like to call myself a trauma survivor – and it’s depression, but it’s co-occurring depression or something like that,” Lowell revealed in a candid interview. “It will go away and it will come back with the panic disorder.” Catelynn didn’t go into detail regarding the roots of her trauma, but in the past, she’s spoken at length about her difficult childhood. Lowell’s father, David, helped shed new light on her painful past this week in a revealing interview with Radar Online: “I don’t do drugs or drink so mostly it was when we had to move for my job when she was 12,” David told the site about the painful period during which he and his daughter were separated by distance. “Kids don’t realize that parents have to do whatever it takes to pay support and insurance for their children, even if it means moving to do so.” David added that his children were well cared-for financially, but said they may not have always received the emotional support they needed:  “I was never a deadbeat dad. One thing I’ve always done is take care of my kids,” he claimed. “That we both had a hard time dealing with. But we called frequently.” David went on to reveal that he suspects Catelynn’s mother didn’t always provide a stable home life: “What her mother did with the money – many different boyfriends and moving all the time – I couldn’t say  As for how Catelynn is faring following her latest rehab stint, David his daughter is in a “wonderful” state of mind. “She’s doing her aftercare like a champ,” he tells Radar. “I did go with her to a holistic approach therapist. I believe this is the first time she’s tried it. It involves breathing techniques, aromatics, and of course, talking.” Closing on a hopeful night, David adds: “I think she’s won the battle, but staying humble about it. It’s a lifelong affliction.” Watch Teen Mom OG online for more of Catelynn’s courageous struggle. View Slideshow: Catelynn Lowell Checks into Rehab AGAIN: What Happened?!

Catelynn Lowell Shares Inappropriate Photo of Her Daughter, Gets SO MUCH HATE

Catelynn Lowell has had a rough few months, and most Teen Mom fans seem to be very understanding of that. After it was revealed that she’d been suffering from suicidal thoughts after having a miscarriage last fall, followers of the show were ready to give her all the support they could. Every time she’s made a statement on social media about her situation, she’s received so much love and admiration. And earlier this week, when she revealed that she’d been diagnosed with panic disorder, depression, and PTSD from her traumatic childhood, people were more than willing to applaud her strength. Which makes sense — she’s been through so much, and it’s great that she’s been taking care of herself and getting the help she needs. But now that she’s been out of her last stint in rehab for a few weeks, things are starting to get back to normal. And for the Teen Mom crew, that means sharing photos of her kids that could be considered inappropriate and getting bashed for it by dozens and dozens of strangers. Catelynn shared this photo of her three-year-old daughter Nova yesterday, and in the caption, she explained that they were painting Easter eggs. But many people got upset because … well, you know why they got upset. “Omg put a shirt on her!!” one of her followers wrote. “Poor little girl! Can’t teach a careless parent sense smh.” “Jeez, would it kill ya to put an old shirt on the child?” another asked. “There’s a little boy in the background, it’s ok to teach children modesty!” One person said that Nova going without a shirt was “ok for the house but on the gram like that? Just saying it looks a little weird.” “And those hearts, kinda tacky for a little girl, kinda looking too adultish for her,” that same person added, sharing the sentiments of many of Cate’s followers. As another person explained it, “The reality of the situation is that you don’t know what creeps are out there looking the wrong way. Although you may not be, pedophiles and such do exist in every scenario.” Someone called it “disgusting” for Catelynn to allow Nova to hang out like this, and another said it was “in bad taste whether it’s a girl or boy because most of us are nice but not everyone is and this is a public platform.” Essentially, Catelynn’s comment section was divided between people who thought it was seriously inappropriate for Nova to be running around without a shirt on and people who thought it was perfectly normal. Surprisingly not many people recognized that there was a third option: let your toddler do messy activities without clothes and then don’t share a photo of it to three million strangers on the internet. As a fun little bonus, there was another entirely separate issue that others took with this photo — see that little aquarium in the back? Lots of Cate’s followers told her that there wasn’t enough water in it and it needed to be cleaned, and that she was a bad pet owner for allowing her tank to get to that state. Social media, right? Catelynn responded briefly to both camps of outraged citizens — to the pet brigade, she explained that it’s not a tank for fish, but a tank for turtles, which is apparently a totally different setup. And to the others, she simply wrote “she’s painting leave the kid alone.” But, you know, it’s the internet, so that’s not going to happen. Here’s A List Of Everything Wakanda Had Besides Guns

Killer Mike is under fire after he did an interview with NRA TV in the wake of the March For Our Lives protests against guns in schools. In his interview, Killer Mike says he threatened his children that if they walked out of class during #NationalWalkoutDay, they could walk out of his house. He also defended his right to bear arms by saying that in the fictional African country of Wakanda, everyone had guns.   “I told my kids on the school walkout, I love you, if you walkout that school, walkout my house…we are not a family that jumps on every single thing an ally of ours does because some stuff we just don’t agree with.” – @KillerMike #MarchForOurLives pic.twitter.com/Gx8JLntmZ8 — NRATV (@NRATV) March 24, 2018 Only one problem, there were literally NO guns in Wakanda. In fact,  Wakanda had a lot of things. They had rhinos, they had explosives, they had shields, but they did not have guns.   Wakanda had wigs, but no guns. Hey @KillerMike they don't use guns in Wakanda (it's so primitive).. They use this pic.twitter.com/lNpo0RVio5 — John Christopher (@jayceekessel) March 25, 2018   Hit the flip to see what other weapons Wakanda was working with (but no guns!)

King Tings: These NBA Stars Offered To Pay For Stephon Clark’s Funeral

Source: Mike Ehrmann / Getty Sadly, we lost another unarmed Black man at the hands of police this week. On Sunday, 22-year-old Stephon Clark was holding a cell phone in his grandmother’s backyard in Sacramento when officers mistook for a gun and fired 20 shots at the kid. Is it just us, or the whole “I thought he had a gun” excuse is getting redundant and implausible. We heard the same thing regarding the murders of Tamir Rice and Oscar Grant just to name a few. Wow…they shot him 20 times for standing his own backyard and talking on his phone…all bc they THOUGHT he had a gun…like this stuff hurts me. That’s could be me, or one of my brothers. Damn, RIP Stephon Clark. — bonito negrito (@King_GrOOvy1) March 22, 2018 Former Sacramento Kings star DeMarcus Cousins may be a Pelican now but a piece of him is still back in the Sac. According to reports, he reached out to the family of Stephon Clark to cover the cost of the funeral. Back in 2015, Cousins covered the funeral costs for a local high school football player, Jaulson “JJ” Clavo, who was gunned down. DeMarcus isn’t the only athlete looking to help the Clark family. Sacramento native Matt Barnes sent out his thoughts and prayers for the family, asking anyone who knew the family to send him a direct message.   Hundreds of people hit the streets this week to protest the senseless murder. No word yet on whether or not the cops involved will face any consequences. Although we’ve seen this whole story play out before, hopefully this time there’s an alternate ending. Protestors have shut down the freeway in Sacramento calling for justice for Stephon Clark, who was murdered after being shot at 20 times by police in his grandparents’ yard. Cops thought he had a gun. It was a cell phone. https://t.co/prxBlsYO1X — Scott Dworkin (@funder) March 23, 2018 RIP Stephon Clark.
