The Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: Zen & the Art of Broken Glass

The Real Housewives of New Jersey came up with “Zen Things I Hate About You.” Just how long will this retreat last? We recap the zen and broken glass in our THG +/- review. How long has this group been in Arizona? Honestly, if I had paid big bucks to stay at this spa and had to put up with Richie and the double Joes by the pool I’d be pretty ticked off. Minus 15. But that’s nothing compared to watching Joe Gorga suck on his wife’s toes for her birthday. Minus 30 . I’m not sure which was more disturbing, that or having Teresa Giudice give Melissa Gorga black lace peace sign panties for her birthday. I doubt any amount of meditation will wipe that from my mind. They’re all trying to recover from their equine therapy…or as Rosie says, “I’m all f**ked up from that horse sh*t.” Ah, can you feel the zen? The Zenis Tenis was a complete bore. Minus 10. Walking across the wire was a little more interesting. Plus 12 but did anyone else notice that NO ONE made it all the way across. What’s that say about the trust between this group? Of course that doesn’t stop Joe Gorga from professing his love for Juicy Joe. I could almost hear the violins playing in the background. High off of their chakra healing, horse whispering, and tennis therapy, this group is suppose to be nothing but love and openness…that is until Melissa snubs Teresa during her round of birthday toasts. Minus 18. Maybe Teresa has a point and Melissa just copies whatever she does. Didn’t Teresa snub Kathy during a toast last season? Not to worry. Caroline is there to call them all out on their bullsh*t. Plus 22 . As much as I dislike her preaching, she has a point. If they’re not willing to get real then they’ll be back at one another’s throats within a couple of weeks. When Tre won’t admit to stirring the pot to make Melissa look bad, Joe Gorga blows his top and throws his glass. So much for zen. The funniest part was watching Melissa’s reaction as she hauls him into the bedroom. “You are so embarrassing. Get in the room, you idiot.” and “You lose control like a psycho.” Plus 18 because we’ve never seen her go off on him and he definitely deserved it. There’s no reason for him to throw things just because Teresa didn’t give him the answer that he wanted. In the end they were all singing the Jersey version of Kumbaya, which has a little more cursing than the original. So do you think this family can form a united front against the haters…or will the egos and bad tempers tear them apart? EPISODE TOTAL: -21! SEASON TOTAL: -364!

Sweet Swirly Matrimony-dom: Robin Thicke Says He “Doesn’t Know If He’d Be Alive” Without Paula Patton!

Awwwwww! Via USMagazine Through “Thicke” and thin! In a joint interview with Prestige Hong Kong Magazine, Robin Thicke and his wife of eight years, Paula Patton, talk about the ups and downs of their careers and relationship, and how they support each other. “I don’t know if I would still be alive in some ways if it wasn’t for Paula,” Thicke, 36, tells the magazine. “She’s been my rock, my muse, my inspiration and I love her. The whole way.” “I’ve been there for his down moments and he’s been there for mine,” adds actress Patton, 37. “Life is full of peaks and valleys. Robin has always been a great person to remind me to celebrate now. Even when it looks like I’ve got a role but don’t know for sure, he’s like, ‘Let’s celebrate!’” The former teenage love birds also talked about being BFF’s and raising their song together When the “Blurred Lines” singer and Baggage Claim star have free time, they choose to spend it by enjoying simple things together. “Talking to each other. We watch movies. Just sit and contemplate — we have a house with a bit of a view. Listening to music. Talking about what’s going on in our lives,” Patton shares. “We’re best friends. We laugh a lot. But that’s our down time. We do the things you’re supposed to do, like work out — blah, blah, blah, boring, boring. We love to travel together and travel with our child. Get out of the house. Because our house is a mad house. We don’t have normal jobs. So it’s always a work house. Robin makes music at home and my job, when I’m not on set, always brings people into our home.” Says Robin about their 3-year-old son Julian: “My son is my good-luck charm; he’s made me not think about myself all day long,” he says. “All of a sudden he shows up with his beautiful smile and perfect energy and makes me go, ‘Ah, forget my little problems.’ He’s an amazing child.” Sure, maybe Paula gets a lil slizzed every now-and-then (emphasis on EVERY), but these two seem to be the happiest married couple in the world. With divorces at an all-time high, can’t be mad at that… Image via WENN

Angry Bird Beef: Nene Leakes Laughing At Sheree Whitfield Over “Chateau Neverland” Being Unfinished?

Oh Nene! Nene Leakes Laughing At Sheree Whitfield Nene is one of those chicks who loves to kick a girl when she’s down. According to The National Enquirer NENE LEAKES and her former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-star Sheree Whitfield have been at each other’s throats for years, but it looks like NeNe is now getting the last laugh! After learning that her one-time pal Sheree’s home was in foreclosure, NeNe blurted out: “I told you so!” Nene, 45, and Sheree, 43, have known each other since before their days together on “RHOA” – and insiders say they were in competition long before they ever set foot in front of the cameras. When the hit Bravo reality show first started filming, it appeared Sheree – as the wife of ex-NFL player Bob Whitfield – was the wealthier and more glamorous of the two women. But over the past few years, NeNe’s career – and bank account – has skyrocketed. Not only has she landed spots on “The New Normal,” “Celebrity Apprentice” and “Glee,” she’s also now the highest paid “Housewife” of all time, pulling in $1 million plus bonuses for Season 6. She’s even got her own spinoff series, “I Dream of NeNe,” which premieres on Bravo on Sept. 17. Meanwhile, Sheree was dumped from “RHOA” after the show’s fourth season. Now, she appears to be drowning in debt and was sued for unpaid legal bills. The government reportedly has filed a tax lien against her for unpaid taxes, and she’s about to lose the home she had been building to foreclosure! And NeNe saw the writing on the wall from the beginning. “When NeNe first heard about Sheree’s plans to build a McMansion in Atlanta, she dubbed it ‘Neverland’ because she was sure Sheree was never going to finish it,” said the insider. “She was correct – Sheree’s house is still not finished. And NeNe is laughing – all the way to the bank.” Maybe these two can squash their beef over some cocktails at Chateau Sheree once it’s completed (wink wink).

Dear Bossip: My Boyfriend Told Me He Has A ‘Bad Habit’ Of Emailing & Texting Women To Hook Up

Dear Bossip , I met him last summer. In a matter of weeks I fell in deep love. He was my first everything. Before him I wasn’t interested in dating or relationships, but I knew I wanted love. Three months in and we’re still good, nice vibes, loving conversations, and walks. I couldn’t believe how much I was into this guy. We made promises to each other to stay faithful and honest. This was no problem for me because I loved him and I would do anything to make it work. Then one day he asked me to send an email from his account to a local council about his parking ticket. No problem of course he’s my baby. I decided to be a bit noisy and look at his inbox and I see a dozen emails from a woman called, “Tosin.”  Browsing through his email it didn’t look too bad until I looked at further emails. It seems like my boyfriend had a girlfriend. Long story short he said it was his ex and they broke up very recently. I was very upset and anxious, but after weeks I brushed it off. Up until December he was still contacting her, and texting her. I was very frustrated and he could tell because my moods weren’t very friendly. Well, then it happened. I emailed her. I took the address from the emails they were sending to each other previously and asked her what was going on. She had no idea that I was a part of his life. She told me that they broke up only in November/December. I was heartbroken. I felt so hurt and used. I broke up with him, but we remained civil along the line. We kept getting together and it was always natural. I couldn’t be upset with him for too long or with anyone. I’m just an easy going person and just so forgiving. But, his ex wasn’t the only problem. He would message girls now and again about meeting up and would continuously get numbers. I would find out, then tell him I’m leaving him, and then he would promise to not do it again saying that they’re bad habits and he’s learning to be a better person. I gave him time to change continuously, but he continues to do the same thing and says he gets carried away and change is happening but it takes time, I love him so much and it’s hard because he’s such a good person, but these habits does weigh down the relationship. He does everything for me and he’s there whenever I need him. If he didn’t have these bad habits he would be the perfect boyfriend for me. But, I’m scared. I don’t want to be hurt again. I feel like my happiness is so attached to him that if we are on bad terms it ruins my day completely. And, I hate that, but I don’t want to feel like I’m missing out on genuine love because I didn’t accept him and didn’t give him time to be a better man. He always talks about how I’m a good girl and how I’m so much calmer and better than his exes. And, he shares his love for me, talks marriage and even kids, but then I get so confused when he messages other girls with flirty texts. And, on top of that the trust I once had for him has really been destroyed. I doubt I can ever rebuild that because I’ve just lost all faith because of the amount of times he’s let me down. I’m more guarded than I was in the beginning. My mother thinks he’s a nice guy, but she doesn’t trust him. She thinks he has other girls. I value her opinion because her doubts about someone or something always seem to be right. She even said that she thinks he had a girlfriend previously which turned out to be true. I don’t know what to do. I’m so confused because he’s a nice guy and I love him. I just don’t want to feel like an idiot. I don’t understand why he messages other women, but gets upset when I want to leave him for it. I don’t want to feel deeply attached if I know he’ll just continue with his bad habits because I don’t want to hurt again. But, I love him. He’s a nice and caring guy. I just don’t feel 100% about the relationship like I did before. Help please. – His Bad Habits Dear Ms. His Bad Habits , Okay, everyone gather your friends and co-workers around your computer, and in your most ratchet turned up hood rat voice I want you to say it with me, “I know he cheat on me, but I love him.” Bwahahahahahaha! You see ladies, this is exactly what happens to you when you lose yourself, and allow a man to consume you. You know longer have an identity. Your language becomes his language. Or, well, you start using his lies as truth because he lies so good to you that you eventually start to believe them. Prime example, he told you that his lying, cheating, and asking women for their numbers to hook up for dates are a “bad habit.” Bwahahahahaha! I can’t! I truly can’t believe he said to you that it’s a “bad habit,” and you believed him. He got a mofo “bad habit” of texting and emailing women to hook up even though he is in a relationship. Bwahahahahaha! I know a lot of men with that “bad habit.” But, you believed him because throughout your letter you have used his language and have said his “bad habit” is basically destroying your relationship, and he needs some time to change (his language) from these so-called “bad habits.” I’m curious why when I read this letter, and observe his behavior that it doesn’t sound like a “bad habit,” it’s more of, hmmm, uhm, oh, I don’t know, HE’S A HOE! He’s a liar. He’s deceptive. He’s a manipulator. He’s a cheater. And, you keep falling for this bull-ish because you have bought into these lies as “bad habits.” A bad habit is leaving the toilet seat up. A bad habit is leaving the television and lights on when you’re not home. A bad habit is biting your nails. A bad habit is throwing your clothes on the floor instead of the laundry basket. How is it a bad habit if he purposely goes online and purposely sends emails to women asking them meet him for a hook up? How is it a bad habit if he purposely hooks up with these women while he’s in a relationship? How is it a bad habit if he purposely goes to meet them, purposely takes off his clothes, and purposely has sex with these women? Bad habit my a**. But, I’ll wait while you ponder this. (Files nails slowly, purses lips, and gives you the side eye). Then, you sit up here and justify his behavior by co-signing his bull-ish as “bad habits,” and that he would be the perfect boyfriend if it weren’t for these “bad habits.” Are you freaking serious? Ma’am, he is trifling. He is full of –ish, and hell naw he ain’t a good boyfriend, or a nice guy. He’s an a**hole. Talkin’ ‘bout he got a “bad habit.” Take your right leg and reach back as far as you can, and kick him in his nuts and tell him you got a bad habit of kicking men in their balls when they lie and cheat. Better yet, take your right hand and reach all the way up to the heavens and swing as hard as you can and smack the dog –ish out of him. Let him know you got a bad habit of smacking the –ish out of men who lie and use bull-ish lies like the ones he’s been feeding you. And, I want you to notice that you said that you would do anything to make it work. Sweetie, that is exactly what YOU’RE doing. You’re doing anything to make it work. You’re trying to make a failed relationship work, and it’s impossible when you’re doing all the damn work. How come he is not doing all that he can to make it work? What about the lie he told you about being committed, faithful, honest, and blah, blah, blah.  I guess he got a bad habit of telling folks what they want to hear when he knows he’s lying. I want you to remember at the top of your letter when you said that you and he made promises to one another to be honest and faithful. Well, he isn’t. He isn’t honest. He isn’t faithful. He is not even remotely interested in making the relationship work. He is not committed to the relationship. HELLO! When people show you who they are believe them. Damn! I’ve said this time and time again. Believe it and them. He’s showing you that he’s not interested in being monogamous. He doesn’t want to be faithful. Walk away! He has a bad habit. So, leave him and his bad habits. LOL! And, please don’t forget that he was dating you and his ex at the same time. That is some low down dirty dog –ish righ there. And, all along he was lying to you and her, and leading you on into believing that he was being faithful to you. Let’s remember that he had a girlfriend the entire time, and that he’d only just recently broke up with her. I bet that was a bad habit of not telling you the truth, huh? But, hold on, if you had not emailed her then your boyfriend would not have told you the truth. (Look in the mirror and see if you have “boo boo the fool” on your forehead). Well, you did say that you are an easy going person, and you keep going back to him. I guess you have a bad habit of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. I think that’s what they call crazy. Look here, if you don’t respect yourself, and you’re too easy going to be mad at the man who lied to you, deceived you, used you, disrespected you and doesn’t value you, then how can I convince you to leave if you’re too easy going? But, the nail on the head is like what I said earlier that you have lost yourself in this relationship, and have allowed him to consume you. You have no identity. You said in your letter that your happiness is attached to him. Never ever attach your happiness, joy, and being to a man. He cannot make you happy. He can add to your happiness, but it’s not his job to make you happy. And, he cannot bring you joy. He can add to your joy, but it’s not his responsibility to bring you joy. Therefore, when you make another person responsible for your happiness, joy, and other feelings then just know that they will always let you down because no one can fulfill those things. Only you, and only you are responsible for your joy, happiness, and other feelings. You don’t trust him. Leave! He’s not going to change. You women and these hopeful, one day, some day he will be a better man and I want to be there for him to see him through. Uhm, ma’am he is not committed to you. He is committed to his “bad habits.” So, sweetie, while you’re sitting over there confused and stuck on stupid, I want you to pull out your calendar and show me “one day,” and “some day” on the calendar. When you can point them out, then he will one day, some day be the perfect man for you. – Terrance Dean Hey Bossip Fam, what do you think? Share your opinions and thoughts below! The Swirl Keeps Winning: Serena Williams’ Married French Boo Publicly Praises Her “Serena Is Different, Mentally”

Has homewrecking put her on top of her game? As she dominates the US Open, Serena and her rumored coach boo are the subject of a new feature that credits him with helping her kill the competition. Via NYDailyNews reports : At 31 years old and chasing history, she has overpowered everything on her court, ranked or unranked, finding health and peak performance behind a new coach who apparently doubles as a significant other. It has been this way for months — ever since Patrick Mouratoglou began overseeing her career last year. “Mentally, she’s different. She really wants it,” the Frenchman coach said. “She’s working like she’s 19 years old and wants to win her first Grand Slam. She has the same appetite. “That makes a huge difference. How many players being (almost) 32 have the same appetite and especially after winning so many Grand Slams? I mean, they are different. Serena is really different, mentally.” Williams, who turns 32 on Sept. 26, is the unbeatable force at Flushing, a lock, it would seem, to bowl through Friday’s semifinals and move one step closer to the three women with more Grand Slam titles — Chris Evert (18), Martina Navratilova (18) and Steffi Graf (22). Williams, who faces fifth-seeded Li Na on Friday, has 16 Grand Slam titles and counting. She has dropped just 13 games through five rounds at the Open. But Mouratoglou said history or records are never discussed. “She doesn’t speak about it,” Mouratoglou said. “What she says is she wants to be the best she can be. She wants to keep on improving. She said to me at the start, ‘I’m prepared to do anything to be back to the top and to be winning Grand Slams.’ ” According to reports and paparazzi pictures, Mouratoglou, 43, is more than a coach to Williams. He started working with Williams in June last year, following her first-round ouster at the French Open. Williams responded with three Grand Slam titles and an Olympic gold medal, while her off-the-court relationship with her coach raised eyebrows. The pair has been photographed together during intimate moments, whether holding hands on a boat, or cuddling on a street in France. Both have declined to discuss their relationship beyond tennis, but it’s clear they’re comfortable in each other’s presence. Maria Sharapova, who skipped this U.S. Open because of a shoulder injury, brought negative attention to the relationship in a back-and-forth with Williams during Wimbledon. “Maybe she should talk about her relationship and her boyfriend that was married and is getting a divorce and has kids,” Sharapova sniped. Mouratoglou, who has three children, is separated from his wife. Williams is by far his highest-profile client, and certainly a success story after guiding her through the best stretch of a 17-year career. So what adjustments has Mouratoglou made to Williams’ game? “When you have a player at that level, small changes make big differences,” he said. “Small changes make major differences. They can make someone play from a great level to an unbelievable level. “The better you achieve what you want to achieve, the more confidence you get. The more confidence you get, the more difficult to beat also you get. So little things have many consequences.” Should it matter that homeboy is married with three kids since he’s technically SEPARATED? And do those details even belong in a story that is about her SPORT, not her personal life? Is Serena different mentally because she’s happy and in love and it translates onto the tennis court? Just some questions we had after reading the story. Getty Images

Kim Kardashian: Why Did She Go Blonde?

Kim Kardashian has dyed her hair blonde, which raises two questions: Do you like it? WHY? “She wanted a big change,” the star’s hairdresser, George Papanikolas, tells Us Weekly of the light locks. “It was Kim’s idea to go blonde, but everyone around her had some influence including myself.” Kim Kardashian: Blonde Hair! Papanikola, who has also worked with Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, along with Kendall and Kylie Jenner, says Kim went “caramel blonde” a few years ago, but this is more of a “honey blonde.” For how long will the style stick around? “I’m assuming she will keep it once they start shooting the next season [of Keeping Up With the Kardashians] since they usually don’t do a big hair color change mid-season,” Papanikolas says . Katy Perry "Roar" Music Video: Hail to the Champion!

It’s here, and it’s everything we would expect it to be. After weeks of hype, teases and buildup, Katy Perry has released her epic music video for “Roar.” Amazingly, she may have met expectations with this fun Tarzan-themed effort. It certainly doesn’t lack for production value, or visual stimulation. “Roar” is undoubtedly the “champion” video she promised. Watch: Katy Perry – Roar (Music Video) Between the beautiful jungle scenery, the cute animals, and Katy Perry’s beautiful and cute jungle attire, well, there’s not a lot to dislike if you heart Katy Perry . Which we do. And we are not afraid to admit this. In a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video, Katy discussed her budding relationship with Ripley, the beloved primate who co-stars in it. “We are just kind of becoming friends,” she said. “I’ve met him along the way … because unfortunately I was in a bit of a plane crash, and my boyfriend got eaten by the tiger, who I’ll have to face off with at the very end.” Foreshadowing for John Mayer ? We shall see. What do you think of “Roar”?   It’s great! One of her best! It’s okay I guess. Weak. View Poll »

96-Year-Old Man’s Song For Late Wife Makes Top 10 on iTunes

A 96-year-old man from Peoria, Illinois, who entered a song-writing contest with an ode to his late wife of 73 years has made the Top 10 on iTunes. Fred Stobaugh says the lyrics – written and submitted by hand – for “Oh Sweet Lorraine” just came to him one night about six weeks after his wife passed. He submitted them for a local radio station’s song-writing contest. Fred didn’t win, but producers were so moved that they decided to record it for him. They did, and the story went viral as the Internet collectively melted. 96-Year-Old Man Writes Love Song For Late Wife “Oh Sweet Lorraine” made it all the way to #7 on iTunes last Friday, and is still going strong at #39 as of this morning. It’s been downloaded more than 6,000 times. See the above video for more on Fred Stobaugh’s song and story.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: No Horsing Around

Leave it to The Real Housewives of New Jersey to turn a “Horse Whisper to a Scream.”  Read on as we recap who embraced their vulnerable side and who ended up looking like a horse’s ass  in our THG +/- review. Jersey is still in the house at the Mirval Resort and Spa and it may never be the same again. But psychic advisors and gong therapy aren’t what Melissa envisioned for her birthday.  “I’m done. I want a f**king cocktail by the pool in a bikini.” Plus 15. No one can say she’s not a girl who knows what she want. Everyone’s still recovering from the ghost whisperer when they all head out to see a horse whisperer.  Funny thing is, Wyatt the equine therapist reads these Jersey housewives and their hubbies like the comic book characters they are. Plus 22. As they head towards the stables everyone comments on how refreshing it is. It’s a healing place. Or in Joe Guidice words, “It smells like sh*t.”  Plus 7 for keeping it real Joe. We expect nothing less. Wyatt tells this motley crew that when they’re not being authentic, the horse can pick up on it. Energy is his language. I wouldn’t blame the poor creature if he took off at a full gallop and never looked back. Everyone thinks this is a bunch of hooey until Wyatt takes one look at Richie and tells him that he creates jokes so he doesn’t have to pay attention to what he feels. Plus 20. Nailed it. It also comes out that Richie has a lousy temper and yells at Kathy when he’s aggravated. Somehow the fact that he drives his wife to tears on a regular basis is a shocker to Richie even after decades of marriage. Minus 30 . OK. Show of hands…who thought Juicy Joe was taking a phone call from his mistress?  Yeah, me too but it only turned out to be Milania.  But the look on Teresa’s face made me wonder if she was worried too. The Gorgas and the Guidices can’t get the poor horse to raise his hoof. Not a good sign. But plus 27 to Joe Guidice for actually admitting that he’s scared about his legal issues and giving his horse technique another go. When Melissa doesn’t know how to handle the horse, she falls back on her instincts…or as Wyatt dubs it, her “whore on a stroll walk.” Plus 33 . This guy is good. He also explains that there’s a difference between being nice and being manipulative.  If you’re being nice you’re not expecting anything in return. Ha! When was the last time that happened between Melissa and Teresa? In one of the most touching moments, Albert opens up about being abused as a child and Wyatt terms Caroline Manzo’s support of her husband a “thing of beauty.”  Plus 22 .  Then Caroline turns around and handles that horse like a pro. The aftermath of the day is even more telling. Kathy realizes her voice deserves to be heard, even when her husband and the other Housewives seem to drown her out. Of course Teresa describe this breakthrough as, “Kathy’s having one of her Marcia, Marcia, Marcia moments.” Minus 13 Damn Teresa. Heaven forbid it’s not all about you. As the rest of the group walks away with the knowledge that sometimes the more vulnerable you are, the better off you’ll be, Teresa and Melissa decide the therapy was a waste time. They don’t have any insecurities. ……OK. I’m sorry. I couldn’t stop laughing. Or should I be crying because I can’t decide whether that is funny or sad. At least Teresa made the effort to approach Jacqueline. Jacqueline admits that Teresa is like the horse. She’s afraid if she gets too close she might get kicked. Good analogy. But if Tre were a true friend she should have told Jacqueline her hair was a mess on camera. Just sayin… At least Teresa got something out of the day.  What did Melissa learn? “That I can’t lift a horse’s leg.” So much for therapy. Episode total = +103!                    Season total = -343!
