August Schellenberg, a Canadian Mohawk actor known for portraying Native Americans on the big and small screens, has died of cancer at age 77. He died peacefully in Dallas surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Montreal to a Swiss father and a Mohawk mother, he used his native background and National Theatre School of Canada training to a prolific career. Schellenberg portrayed Native American mentor Randolph in all three Free Willy movies, and scored an Emmy nomination for his role in HBO’s Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee . It was actually the third time that Schellenberg portrayed the famed Native American figure Sitting Bull, a part which the actor called his favorite role. He is survived by his wife, actress Joan Karasevich, and three daughters.

Of all the places and days for this man to take his own life… Man Commits Suicide In Wife’s Hospital Room After She Gives Birth The birth of a new baby was overshadowed by a horrific tragedy for one Houston couple after the father of the child shot himself to death inside the hospital room where his wife had just given birth three hours earlier. via Chicago Tribune A Houston man shot himself to death in his wife’s hospital room on Sunday, 3 1/2 hours after she had given birth to their baby, police said. “Family members said he has been distraught recently,” Houston police spokesman John Cannon said on Monday. The man, whose identity has not been released, shot himself in a private room at Willowbrook Methodist Hospital in Northwest Houston on Sunday afternoon, Cannon said. He died shortly after being transported to another hospital, according to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. His wife, who gave birth earlier on Sunday, was not injured, and Cannon said the baby was not in the room at the time. Dwight just can’t seem to catch a break. Dwight Gooden Evicted From Mansion These ballers make all this scrilla and don’t have two dimes to show for it. Jermaine Dupri and Dwight need to take the same money management class. According to TMZ More problems for Doc Gooden — the troubled ex-MLB star has just been evicted from the NJ mansion he was renting after allegedly stiffing his landlord for months … TMZ has learned. What makes the situation even sadder … Dwight’s estranged wife was living in the home with their 2 young kids — who were all forced to leave in July, when officials enforced the eviction. According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, Dwight and his family moved in to the home back in September 2011 … and agreed to pay $4,500 per month in rent. But things went south in March — when Dwight’s wife got a restraining order against the former NY Mets pitcher following a domestic dispute, forcing Doc to move out. The homeowners claim Doc’s family stayed in the home all of March, April, May and June — but they never got a check from the Goodens for any of those months … and that adds up to some serious debt. The homeowners filed legal docs against Gooden — demanding the back rent plus penalties, totaling more than $18,984 … AND they also want legal fees. The court also granted the landlord’s permission to evict the Goodens — and on July 11, Docs family was forced out of the home. It’s unclear where they’re living now. We reached out to Dwight’s people — so far, no word back. That’s what happens when these athletes try to ball out of control, but their pockets are lighter than a feather. It’s sad the wife and babies had to be put out on the street.
