The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills brought us “Girls Gone Ojai’d” Monday night as the women do drunken gymnastics and slather mud over one another. We break down who got wild and who was sober in THG’s +/- recap! We dive right back in where we left off with Brandi telling Adrienne to “shut the f**k up” and everyone else freaking out. Brandi was right, in that Adrienne was being obnoxious so Plus 10 for calling her on it. That doesn’t happen often enough. Unfortunately, Brandi has no filter and Lisa’s right. They are just looking for ammunition to use against her. Yolanda and Kyle were shocked by such language as they asked who spoke that way to another woman. Minus 15 . Um…have they ever watched their sister show The Real Housewives of New Jersey ? The women there throw the F-word around like some people say Hello . Lisa takes on the motherly role and manages to broker a half hearted peace between Brandi and Adrienne but did anyone really think that would last? Within the same meal Brandi Glanville gets a phone call telling her her book deal is a go and you’d think someone waved a red flag in front of Taylor. Yes, Taylor’s ticked off because Brandi dissed her book during last season’s reunion show but I had to laugh when she made fun of the content of Brandi’s book. Hmm…sex, lies, and celebrities cheating. Plus 19 . I hate to break it to you Taylor, but there’s definitely a market for that. Yolanda can’t believe the nastiness around this table. No wonder she heads to bed early. But before that we have golf cart races and where else can you find carts with a Bentley name plate? Plus 10 . Lisa’s in her element, even if she can’t get around Yolanda while they tear up the golf course. Then they hit the spa where things get cozy during a group mud treatment and Kim’s moans of delight scare Brandi. Minus 13 . It should have been funny but was actually a little creepy. That’s OK. It didn’t last long. Yolanda and Lisa were at it again as they started tossing muddy towels and ice water around. Plus 9. These two were certainly trying to keep this trip light hearted but I suppose a little serenity was too much to hope for. At dinner Yolanda explains that she can’t drink because she’s doing a holistic treatment for back pain that includes being injected with cells from a baby lamb fetus. OK, if it works that’s great but the first thing that comes to mind is eww. Minus 20. That night when Brandi starts passing out the Patron, Yolanda and Kim bow out. Kim’s working hard to stay sober so Plus 14 to her. Yolanda thinks drunk women are simply not classy. She may want to find a new group of friends. The ladies get plastered and begin arm wrestling. Then they’re practicing their cartwheels and it looks like Taylor forgot her underwear. Minus 10. In the end everyone leaves a little happier than they arrived until Kyle has to go and bring up Brandi’s F-bomb one more time. Minus 22 . Kyle acts innocent but she loves to stir up trouble. An elementary school music teacher, Gregory Eldred, allegedly shot his ex-wife while she played the organ during church service in Pennsylvania last weekend. After leaving briefly, he then returned and shot her again to ensure she was dead. Congregants eventually overpowered Eldred, ending the shooting Sunday at the First United Presbyterian Church of Coudersport, 140 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. The shooting was detailed in a criminal complaint filed Monday against Eldred, who remains jailed without bond on first-degree murder and other charges. Eldred’s attorney didn’t return messages seeking comment. Eldred’s ex-wife, 53-year-old Darlene Sitler, the choir director, was seated at the organ when she was shot about 20 minutes into the 11 a.m. service, state police said. Pastor Evon Lloyd told police that Eldred entered the church wearing a hooded, beige jacket and “leveled a gun at the victim and shot,” according to the complaint. The woman then fell into the organ pit. Eldred quickly left the building and put a handgun on the hood of his vehicle while those inside called 911 and aided Sitler. Another witness, Leslie Rolfe, said that Eldred picked up the gun about five minutes later, while Rolfe tried to hold the church doors shut but couldn’t. Rolfe and his wife, Dr. Beverly Prince, tried to persuade Eldred to drop his gun, but he instead threatened to shoot them and the pastor, telling Prince “I want to finish this.” Eldred then walked toward his ex-wife saying, “I got to see her. I got to see if she’s dead,” before firing two more shots at Sitler, the complaint said. Police said nobody else was hurt, though Eldred’s gun went off once when Rolfe and other members of the congregation struggled to subdue Eldred and take his gun. He was stationed in South Carolina when his wife signed their unborn daughter over to a family of seven in Utah…SMH. According to The Daily Mail , the couple was having marital problems before 31-year-old drill instructor Terry Achane left his then pregnant wife for his new position. His daughter, whom he wanted to name Teleah, was given to Jared and Kristi Frei; and they’re fighting a judges order so they can keep ‘their’ daughter. Terry Achane says that he and his wife, Tira Bland, were having marital problems not long after learning she was pregnant in 2010, leading to her decision and his now spiraling struggle today despite a judge ordering the girl returned to him last October. The now ex-husband says Ms. Bland had suggested having an abortion or giving their child up for adoption – fearing she would end up as a single mother – but he said no, encouraging their daughter’s birth. It was just months later in February of 2011 that Mr. Achane found himself sent to Fort Jackson in South Carolina for work, believing he’d leave and come back a new dad. Ten days after his move, however, his wife gave birth to a premature baby and signed away their child before cutting all contact with her husband. Sent to live with Jared and Kristi Frei, who had spent the last few years struggling to naturally expand their family of five children, the baby found herself in the city of Spanish Fork. We knew that we were not done having children, but after years of sudden infertility and several miscarriages … we discovered somewhere down the line that Kristi had advanced endometriosis, and would not likely conceive or carry another child again,’ the Frei family write of their struggle in a blog aimed at raising money for their court battle. Turning to adoption, in early 2009 the Frei family grew their family by one more with a baby boy named James. Desiring to add one more child – ‘a close, similar sibling’ for James as they write – they found Mr. Achane’s daughter, whom they named Leah. ‘Since that eventful day, we have, as a family, come to know that this dream was a righteous desire blessed to fruition by God, and that Leah would be that child – and yet, little did we know the challenges and trials that awaited us in finding and fighting for this little girl,’ they write. The adoption agency, Adoption Center of Choice told the new family that Mr. Achane wasn’t aware of his daughter’s placement with them and he would most likely contest it if he had found out. The Tribune reports that Ms. Bland had given the adoption agency Mr. Achene’s former address in Texas for contact, knowing full well at the time that he was not living there. Kept in the dark throughout this with months of being unable to reach his wife, Mr. Achane asked a friend to visit her home in Texas who reported that the house appeared vacant. Feverishly calling anyone who may know where his wife could be, while fearing she may have carried out the abortion she once threatened to do, he learned from a family doctor that his wife was no longer pregnant but they could not legally disclose what had happened to the baby. An ounce of relief only came to the horrified man when his wife finally called him in June, telling him she had signed away their baby to the Frei family. ‘I believe she felt guilty at that point because she just made a call out of the blue,’ he said of his ex-wife’s phone call. Once he learned of his daughter’s fate, he immediately tried to track his little girl down but upon contact with the adoption center they refused to disclose any information on her whereabouts. The agency told the court in October that it was standard procedure to not share any information with a father of a potential adoptive child when asked. I am not a very religious person,’ Mr. Achane has since told the Tribune, ‘but thou shalt not steal.’ Speaking of the drawn out legal battle, he said: ‘If they prolong it, that is more time away from my daughter. There are precious moments I can’t get back. … It has been a year and a half now. There is no court order saying they have the right to my child. I just won the case. I want to get my daughter and raise my daughter,’ he said. Judge Darold McDade berated the Adoption Center of Choice’s handling as ‘utterly indefensible.’ ‘Once Mr. Achane contacted the Adoption Center of Choice … to let them know he opposed the adoption and wanted his daughter back, that should have been the end of this case,’ said Mr. McDade. ‘This is a case of human trafficking,’ Mr. Achane’s attorney Mark Wiser told the Tribune. ‘Children are being bought and sold. It is one thing what [adoption agencies] have been doing with unmarried biological fathers. It is in a new area when they are trying to take a child away from a married father who wants to have his child.’ When an attorney for the Frei family contacted Mr. Achane, asking him to consent to the adoption, he said no and demanded his little girl returned to him – to the Frei family’s complete surprise. ‘Over the last 19 months, despite the law requiring that a father show interest in his child and at least attempt regular communication to establish a bond, the father has never shown any interest in Leah other than to hire an attorney,’ the family writes in their blog. Despite the judge’s order to return the child within 60 days, the family now asks that his parental rights granting him custody of her be terminated. They accuse him of abandoning both the mother and baby during her pregnancy and therefore demonstrating no capability for raising the girl. Not going down without a fight, the Freis vow to appeal the judge’s decision, asking friends and family to support their case financially through their blog. They note having paid for ‘two already expensive adoptions (each costing around $25,000),’ with a continuing fight only requiring more money. Their online petition has since raised more than $20,000. A hearing has been set for January 16th of next year on the child’s transition back to her father. We know plenty of good fathers out there that get a bad rap. Her husband was shelling out $10k a month for his wife’s care. And according to Chicago’s CBS 2 News , the damn facility isn’t even trying to admit any guilt in the whole case! Ninety-two year old Catherine McCann has severe Alzheimer’s and is unable to speak or care for herself. While she was at Lutheran Home for the Aged in Arlington Heights, it was discovered that her left ear was infested with maggots. “I was horrified, shocked,” says her husband John McCann, 88. “I thought it was terrible. I’m paying all this money for that kind of care — no way.” Now, her family is suing the nursing home for emotional distress and negligence. “In this case, they allowed Catherine McCann to have a fly get into her ear canal, lay eggs and hatch 57 maggots,” says attorney Henry Gruss, who filed the lawsuit That’s how many maggots Northwest Community Hospital doctors removed from McCann’s ear. Before the surgery, doctors made a videotape to document the infestation. “One of them was just crawling out of the ear,” Gruss says. Mary McCann Stassen says she could barely look the photos of her mother’s ear. “It’s a picture I will never, ever get out of my mind –ever,” she says. Worse yet, she says, was “hearing her scream as they were taking the maggots out of her ear.” The family’s attorney sent some of the maggots to an expert for analysis. The expert concluded they had been in her ear for 2 ½ to 3 days. Since Catherine McCann can’t speak, the only sign of a problem she had given was tugging at her ear, her husband recalled being told. “And once they got the maggots out, that subsided,” McCann says. Catherine McCann has an enlarged ear canal from a surgery performed decades ago and has required periodic flushing of the ear, or antibiotics, for infections. Nine days before the maggots were discovered, McCann was seen by a doctor for treatment for a wax buildup. He prescribed drops four times a day to treat the condition. The nursing home confirmed she was getting the drops with the last dose at 6 p.m. the evening before the maggots were found. Staff said a nursing home aide saw Mrs. McCann scratching her ear on the day of the hospital admission, brought it to the attention of a nurse who saw the larvae and called the nursing home’s medical director. The director decided she should be sent to the hospital. Nursing home officials believe that until that day, the maggots were not big enough for staff to see them. Officials say the home has an excellent reputation and this was an “extraordinarily unusual event” that had never happened there before. They also note that Illinois Department of Public Health found no violations in this case. State officials, however, say that in response to other complaints the home was found to have violated guidelines related to residents’ care and fined $1,100 this month. He will lead the prayers and it is so sweet,” Kardashian said. “Sometimes his plane will land in the next city [at 4 a.m.] and he will still call me and we say our prayers. If I’m asleep and don’t answer he will text me a prayer. It keeps us together.” Aw isn’t that sweet? Khloe also says that Lamar is somewhat of a Luddite, so she won’t be getting him any electronics for Christmas. “Kourtney asked, ‘Would Lamar like an iPad mini for Christmas?’” I said, ‘Absolutely not!’ He would have no idea what to do with,” Khloé Kardashian told reporters Thursday after The X Factor. “He’d be, like, ‘I can’t write on this thing.’ “ Despite his technological ineptitude, Odom does brave Skype to stay connected with his wife while playing away games with the Los Angeles Clippers. “I have to walk him through it on the phone and it takes forever,” Kardashian joked of getting her husband to use video chatting service. “He’s just not a very big electronics person.”

And according to The Daily Mail , it seems like Kim just can’t keep her life drama free … Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak has become so fed up with her parents, Karen and Joe, badmouthing her to the media that she has asked a judge for a gag order. According to TMZ, the 34-year-old wig lover filed an emergency motion in Georgia last week to prevent them from publicly discussing their ongoing court battles over visitation rights of their grandchildren. Kim claims that her mother and father have trashed her to the press with ‘vicious lies’ and they’re planning on signing a $50,000 tell-all book deal. The judge has yet to rule, but the reality star’s breaking point with her folks evidently occurred last year during her televised wedding to NFL player Kroy Biermann. Karen claimed that she was completely cut off from her famous daughter’s family after using an indoor bathroom rather than a porta-potty, and promptly escorted off the premises by security. Those lavish nuptials are proving to be quite a headache for Miss Zolciak this week as her wedding planner Colin Cowie has also sued her for alleged unpaid fees and valet parking services. Back in October, Kim even had her two daughters – Ariana, 11, and Brielle, 15 – submit sworn affidavits declaring they do not want to be forced to spend time with their grandmother. ‘We both love our grandparents, but due to their actions at the wedding of [Kim and Kroy]…we have grown apart,’ the statement read according to TMZ. Meanwhile, Kim promises to ‘prove to all the haters’ that she was not fired from the popular Bravo series when she’s interviewed by Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live Sunday night. ‘Soooo excited to see Andy on WWHL Sunday night!! Been too long!! So much to talk about!” Zolciak tweeted to her 539,000 followers. The blonde reality star opted to simply step aside so that she could star in her own spin-off series, Don’t Be Tardy. The boys teacher gave him a ‘time out’ and forgot all about him. His parents had no idea what happened until their son didn’t come home after school…SMH. According to The Houston Chronicle , the teacher hasn’t lost her job…yet: A kindergarten teacher locked a 5-year-old boy in a small, dark room alone at the end of a school day then forgot the child there for over an hour, according to a southwestern Idaho father. School officials said Friday they were investigating after hearing from James Cagle, who says that when his wife found their son the boy was crying and had urinated on himself. “He was scared,” Cagle told Boise television station KTVB. “You know just think about that,” he added. “A 5-year-old boy.” Cagle said he and his wife panicked when their son didn’t come home from his morning kindergarten class Wednesday. About 45 minutes after he was supposed to be home, they headed to Washington Elementary School to look for him. Cagle said his wife and a school secretary found the boy crying and afraid in the small room in the dark, where he had apparently been for around an hour and a half after the teacher put him there for misbehaving. “I know that if I locked my child in a room long enough for him to urinate on himself, I’d be going to jail or child protective services would dang sure be here taking him out of my house that night,” Cagle said. School officials dispute that the room was locked, saying the teacher would not have had a key. Assistant District Superintendent Monica White also noted that the door to the room has a large window, which allows light in from the hallway. Still, officials acknowledge that the discipline was inappropriate. The teacher “should not have done that,” said District Superintendent Tim Rosandick. “That’s not a preferred practice,” Rosandick added. “That is not what we would have wanted her to do.” This is a damn shame! According to National Enquirer reports : The “American Idol” judge ruled that her hubby was out of order after he spouted off on Anderson Cooper’s show “Anderson Live” about how he and the 43-year-old superstar are raising their 19-month-old twins Monroe and Moroccan. The part-time comedian blurted out: “The kids run the house. My wife is being the diva that she is. I’m trying to keep up with them.” When Cooper asked the “America’s Got Talent” host, 32, who changes more diapers, Cannon proudly pointed to himself and said: “Me!” While he admitted they both get their hands dirty, he stressed: “I get that duty a little bit more.” Mariah “was incensed,” an insider told The ENQUIRER. “Nick has made diva jokes before, but never relating to Mariah being a parent. Claiming he was the main diaper-changer made her feel like he was saying she was less than a perfect mother. “She’s trying so hard to do well on ‘American Idol’ and thinks this will make her look bad.” Mariah signed a whopping $18 million deal to join the “Idol” judges’ panel, in part so she could have a job that allowed her more time with her twins, say sources. That’s one reason why Nick’s offhand remarks struck such a sour note with his sensitive wife. “Sometimes Nick lets his mouth run faster than his brain,” confided a friend. “But he should have known he was going to tick off Mariah with his parenting potshots.” Mariah used to revel in her diva reputation, said the insider, “but now that she’s a mom, she wants to be seen first and foremost as just that.” “What Nick said made her feel small, and he’s had hell to pay at home. Could you leave all the ‘unnecessary’ things in life behind in exchange for just enough space and cheaper energy bills ?? According to The Daily Mail , there are lots of folks in DC that are saying ‘Yes We Can’… A neighborhood of miniaturized homes, that look like what some Americans build in their backyards as dollhouses, is propping up in northeast Washington, D.C. The 150 to 200 square feet living spaces in a transformed vacant lot behind a line of row houses, sell for between $20,000 to $50,000 a piece and are part of a national backlash to the conspicuous consumption of the McMansion era. The concept of the tiny residences came from Tumbleweed Tiny House Co., based in Santa Rosa, Calif., that launched in 2000. The plans faced a tepid reception but after the credit crisis of 2008, have exploded in popularity. The lot was purchased in March by a group of four DC residents who became interested in creating a neighborhood of tiny houses as an example of affordable, scaled back living. The group have transformed the concrete abandoned lot into a grassy area for the stall-like homes. They also have plans to construct a garden area and plant 10-15 trees to surround the lot. The group of homes will all circle an open, grassy area with a picnic table open to the community. The homes, ideal for one or two inhabitants, are naturally limited in space and so the neighborhood will include a 8’x20’ garage/storage structure for those items that just can’t be squeezed into the miniature shelters. Jay Shafer, who founded the The Tumbleweed Tiny House Co., has sold more than 1,500 sets of plans for the small living spaces. He said after the recession of 2008, the tiny houses took off. ‘Americans still like our stuff big and cheap, so a 100-square-foot house is not for everyone or big families. But people in tiny homes save a ton of money on heating and AC,’ he told the Washington Post. Though Shafer used to reside in a 90-square foot house, he has since upgraded to a 500-square-foot home after he and his wife welcomed their second child. ‘It’s no longer about impressing your friends with your huge 1980s castle, it’s more about your lifestyle: What restaurants and fitness centers and community life can you walk to? It’s not about driving everywhere and staying inside and spending hours watching TV,’ said Monty Hoffman, chief executive and founder of PN Hoffman, a Washington area condo builder. ‘They’re a statement that no one needs to be trapped in a mortgage they can’t afford in a house that’s too big for them anyway,’ Amy Lynch, a consultant with the Minneapolis-based BridgeWorks, told the Washington Post about the practicality of the miniaturized residences after the housing crisis of 2009. ‘The baby boomers raised their children. Now, they’re looking at all this stuff they have and thinking, ‘What has meaning for me now?’ Plus, these tiny houses are small enough that you can clean — actually clean them!’ The DC neighborhood that is beginning to take shape, called Stronghold, is the brainchild of Boneyard Studios, a group that has mobilized volunteers and residents to join the cause. But the pint-sized homes make some area residents feel like the American Dream is no long attainable. ‘These tiny houses feels like we are going backwards,’ Patricia Harris, who owns a rowhouse in the District, said. Lea throws son RJ a birthday bash at her Star Island abode. It’s become the party place and the 11 year old tells his friends they can wreck it if they want to since they really don’t live there. Minus 10 . As if all of the kids running around aren’t enough to make Lisa feel like the only childless person in the room, her in-laws fly in for a visit. Lenny’s momma has her own key to the house and has no trouble letting herself in and making herself right at home. Damn. Minus 25. Lisa really needs to set some boundaries. Imagine how much worse it might be if there was actually a grandchild to visit. Lisa’s under a lot of pressure to produce a child. Minus 20 . You’d think her husband and in-laws would have a little more sympathy. The poor woman has had three miscarriages. It’s not like she’s not trying. As a matter of fact she heads out to have acupuncture as part of her fertility therapy even though she hates needles but all of this stress really can’t be helping anything. Marysol invites Elaine over to sit down and talk. Plus 12 for attempting to broker some peace. Marysol admits she likes James but the Elaine persona is a bit obnoxious and she apologizes for any bad blood between them. Unfortunately, Elaine doesn’t seem to care. I don’t see these two going out for a girls night any time soon. Ana’s still ticked off at Marysol but she’s got bigger issues. Why haven’t Ana and Rob made it official and signed the divorce papers? They’re both dating other people. So why is his laundry being done at her house? Minus 9 . That’s just strange. Joanna, Romain, Lisa and Lenny invite Karent and Rodolfo out so the group can assess the Latin soap star. No one can really get a read on Rodolfo. I’m with Joanna. My gut feeling is this guy’s not sticking around for the wedding and babies that Karent’s so desperate for. Minus 10 . Joanna’s mom comes to visit and she seems nice and down to earth but she worries that her unhappy marriage has affected Joanna. Minus 10 . She might be right. Plus 15 because she agrees that her daughter can be evil when she drinks. Hopefully Joanna can make the commitment to lay off the alcohol. Finally Frederic’s parents fly in from Paris. It’s the couple’s 50th wedding anniversary and they are absolutely charming. Plus 20. Adriana would be lucky to have them as in-laws, if only she could get out of her own way. The anniversary party is lovely. Plus 12 . That vintage Dior dress looks equally lovely. Plus 15. But what is up with Lea’s necklace? Minus 13. It looked like something Wilma Flintstone would wear to a party. If Lea fell into the pool those rocks could drown her. In the end, Lisa won the award for craziest in-laws. Adriana could be the one to get lucky if she doesn’t lose Frederic first, and Joanna and Romain end up somewhere in the middle. EPISODE TOTAL: -23! SEASON TOTAL: -301!
