Barbara Walters is looking to score the interview of the year. Why else would she have dinner with Casey Anthony’s attorney, Jose Baez, on Sunday night. Maybe he’s delightful company, but there’s no way that wasn’t the motive. According to TMZ, Baez, his wife, Walters and actor Frank Langella (they had just gone to see his play) all dined together as she looked to woo his most infamous client. They all dined at Orso in Manhattan for Jose’s birthday, and while photographers tried to get details about am asking price for the interview, no one was talking. According to our sources, Casey Anthony is laying low and isn’t ready to tell her side of the story just yet. But when she does, Babwa is totes trying to call dibs. Interestingly, when everyone said their goodbyes, Jose went to hug Barbara but was shooed away, with Walters urging him, “No, no, no. Don’t do it.” She’s shameless, but apparently not that shameless.
Y’all ain’t isht!! Ernest Fugate said he and his wife had tickets for different sections of the stadium’s end-zone area called the Dawg Pound during the game, and each thought the other one had the boy. “Neither one of us knew the child was lost,” he told The Associated Press on Friday. Fugate and his wife, Anna, both of Circleville, have pleaded not guilty to child endangering. According to a police report, two people said a woman sent the boy off with them while they were walking in to the game between the Browns and Miami Dolphins on Sept 25. The two people then turned the boy over to security, the report said. The boy told detectives the couple had argued while partying before the game and that Ernest Fugate, 54, departed to enter the stadium, leaving him with the foster mother. Fans told officers that the seats where the boy was supposed to be sitting had been empty throughout the game. The couple wasn’t off the hook though, after the game the Police wanted them to do some ‘splaining. Officers stopped the couple in their car after the game, the report said. Police said the couple first told them the child had walked away before the game and then said they thought he was with the other parent. “When asked why they were leaving without the child, they shrugged,” the report said. They then laughed when an officer asked why they didn’t report the child missing, the report said. Fugate said on Friday that they did not try to leave without the boy. He said he didn’t know anything was wrong until he returned to his car before his wife after the game and found police officers waiting there. Says the doting father of his “child”: “We love that kid,” Fugate said while crying. “He was my little guy. It was just an honest mistake. My wife and I didn’t mean any harm to that child.” Sorry sir but, “we don’t believe you…”, you know the rest. The story goes on to say that these folks have adopted 15 children over the past 7 years. We just can’t help but feel that these people are taking these children strictly to get the government money issued to foster parents as a subsidy. What say you BOSSIP nation? Source
Wow… While Steve Jobs’ biological father is getting side-eyes for trying to get in touch with his son in his final days, his birth mother is holed up in a nursing home completely unaware that the son she was forced to give up passed away. Joanne Simpson, who reluctantly gave her son up for adoption after falling pregnant when she was a student, is seriously unwell in a nursing home in Los Angeles and has no idea her son has died, MailOnline can reveal. Sources close to the family said the Apple founder’s biological mother, Joanne Simpson, 79, is tragically battling advanced dementia. She has very limited mental capacity and is said barely to know who she is, let alone what has become of the son she gave away. Jobs was adopted in 1955 after being born to Abdulfattah John Jandali, a Syrian man, and Joanne Schieble, who was a graduate student at the time. The couple were not married and keeping him would have been deemed shameful by their communities. Brought up by Paul and Clara Jobs, Steve is thought to have reconciled with his mother but never to have made contact with his biological father. In his renowned 2005 commencement address at Stanford University, Jobs described how his mother signed the adoption papers reluctantly, wanting to give him away to a well-educated couple. Paul Jobs was a high-school drop-out who became a machinist and his wife Clara never graduated from college. Joanne Simpson eventually married Jandali and the couple had another child, Mona Simpson, who went on to become a famous novelist, before getting divorced. She later remarried. ‘My biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student,’ Jobs said in his speech. ‘She felt very strongly that I should be adopted by college graduates.’ When he grew up, Jobs found his mother and the two kept in touch. He also forged a relationship with his biological sister. Despite the reconciliation, Simpson’s dementia is so serious she has no idea about her son’s death. Her condition has so far deteriorated she is said briefly to have been admitted to a mental hospital after neighbours reported seeing her wandering the streets half naked. A source said: ‘Steve was one of the richest men in the world, but his wealth couldn’t save him and it couldn’t save his mother. ‘We used to find her wondering the streets wearing only a house coat with nothing underneath and sometimes we would find her wearing barely anything climbing trees in her bare feet. ‘In the end someone dropped her at a mental hospital as they were so concerned for her wellbeing and then when her daughter found out they eventually moved her to a nursing home. ‘She was a lovely woman so it was very hard to see her demise. Now she is locked in her own body and barely knows who she is let alone Steve anymore.’ Dayum. Source

Alice Walton’s birthday ended with her in jail Friday night. The 62-year-old daughter of Walmart founder Sam Walton, and one of the 10 richest peeps in the U.S., Alice was arrested by Texas Highway Patrol and charged with DUI after she was nabbed for speeding in a construction zone. Those work zones get you every time. Why not slow down when you see the “fines doubled” sign? Well, guess that doesn’t matter if you have $20 billion … Alice Walton, who refused a breathalyzer test, “was determined to be intoxicated during a field sobriety test,” according to Senior Trooper Gary Rozzell. She was booked into the Parker County Jail after 11 p.m. Friday, reports the local news, and released on $1,000 bond around 8 a.m. on Saturday. Her attorney, Dee J. Kelly, said in a statement: “She was returning home from a birthday dinner with friends at a Fort Worth restaurant. She accepts full responsibility for this unfortunate incident and deeply regrets it.” Two thousand miles away, Occupy Wall Street protesters are cheering. She also might want to use some of that fortune on a haircut. Just saying.
Armani has released three new photos of Megan Fox from its upcoming holiday collection, to which we’d like to say: thank you, Armani! Past ads featuring the actress have focused on her body – we especially recommended THIS VIDEO – as Fox modeled for the company’s lingerie line. But the above pictures take a close look at her face and represent Armani’s new cosmetics campaign, which will hit stores in time to be stuffed into your loved one’s stockings. Speaking of stuffing things into dark places… sorry. Nevermind. We’ll just let you stare at Fox now.
David Boreanaz, star of Bones , cheated on his wife. More than once. He’s not alone there, but is fairly unique in that he not only admitted his infidelity, but claimed in a recent interview that it strengthened his marriage to Jaime Bergman. While he likely meant that the couple is stronger than ever nowadays, it was probably not meant to come off as an endorsement of cheating on her in the first place. That’s why we somehow doubt he accepts the offer of $250,000 put forth by pro-adultery website Ashley Madison to be their new celebrity spokesman. Just a hunch. David Boreanaz is a famous cheater. But don’t expect him to advocate for it . THG NOTE : Rachel Uchitel and David Boreanaz did bone (pardon the expression), but that is not the affair he admitted to last year. That was with an unknown woman he accused of attempting to extort him following his infidelity. The company’s shameless, CEO, Noel Biderman said this: “We feel Mr. Boreanaz would be the perfect fit for our brand as he has given a voice to something we have been saying for years: People enter into affairs to save their marriage.” “Mr. Boreanaz had the courage to admit that.” “The rest of the cheaters in Hollywood – there is no shortage on Ashley Madison, but we are not naming names might also find this kind of confession liberating.” Right. We’re sure that’s exactly what he had in mind.
Rapper will avoid jail time after his August arrest in Miami. By Gil Kaufman Big Boi in Miami-Dade County Corrections Department custody in August Photo: Miami-Dade County Corrections and Rehabilitation D Big Boi will avoid jail time following his arrest in August on drug charges in Miami. The 36-year-old Outkast rapper (born Antwan Patton) was in a Miami courtroom Thursday (October 13), where he agreed to a deal that includes three months of drug testing, community service and a $2,000 charitable donation, according to The Associated Press. Big Boi was arrested while exiting a cruise ship in August after a K-9 police dog sniffing for drugs hit upon him. When police searched the rapper, they allegedly found substances including 10 and a half Viagra pills, three pills of suspected Ecstasy, a cigarette roller with marijuana residue and 5.7 grams of MDMA powder. He was hit with two felony drug charges, but prosecutors said that if he remains drug-free for three months, those charges will be dismissed. Following the arrest, Big Boi’s attorney, Daniel Kane, issued a statement about the incident. “While Big Boi was traveling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage. I am confident when the entire facts are aired BIG BOI will be completely exonerated.” The ATLien didn’t release any statement about the deal, but he did tweet an inspirational comment about an hour after his court appearance, writing, “God is Great! #weoutchea RT @BibleWisdoms: God is light. There’s no darkness in him.” He followed a short time later with a shout to the legal affairs reporter for the AP in Miami and the celebratory update, “on the way back from Miami … u already know, Butta.” Related Artists Big Boi
‘I had to eat a lot of pasta and get cinched really tightly into the corset and let the girls do the acting for me,’ she tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian Milla Jovovich in “The Three Musketeers” Photo: Summit Entertainment Paul W.S. Anderson was proud. Sitting in a swanky London hotel earlier this month while promoting “The Three Musketeers,” the director happily recounted one critic’s opinion of his 3-D action-adventure and the quality of the performance of Milla Jovovich, who is not only one of the film’s stars but also his wife. “There was a review of the movie that said Milla’s cleavage is worth the price of admission,” he laughed to MTV News. “Cleavage in 3-D: It was what the medium was invented for.” Shortly thereafter, Jovovich was shocked — shocked! — in an interview to learn her husband was dishing such details to the press. “I can’t believe he told you that story!” she said with a smile. “That’s so embarrassing. I’m like, ‘Honey, you can’t tell people that!’ I’m trying to be taken seriously, and now my cleavage is going to sell tickets.” Whatever works, right? Though to be fair, “Musketeers” has a lot more going for it than some three-dimensional bosoms. Anderson’s flick is a swashbuckling affair that stays true to much of Alexandre Dumas’ classic tale, but introduces a whole lot of contemporary bling into the mix. So while you get fair maidens in corsets and swordfights galore, Anderson also delivers steampunk airships and 21st-century wit, all captured by 3-D cameras. At the center of it all is Jovovich’s Milady de Winter, a tough-as-nails woman who may look harmless but who will stab you in the back — or at least poison or otherwise maim you — if the opportunity for self-preservation or self-promotion arises. How does such a double- and triple-crosser survive in “Musketeers”? What Jovovich calls her “girls” certainly help. “I did have to prepare a lot to make my cleavage what it was,” she said. “I had to eat a lot of pasta and get cinched really tightly into the corset to get the effect and let the girls do the acting for me. Each one took classes. Stanislavski . I think the left one is more talented than the right.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Three Musketeers.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
With the release of their new album, Evanescence have weathered the storm and emerged as a genuine family, in Bigger Than The Sound. By James Montgomery Evanescence Photo: MTV News A few months ago, I was sitting in a bar in Nashville watching Amy Lee play Ping-Pong. This was amazing for several reasons, the least of which was the fact that she was actually pretty good. Because while the image of Lee — frequently corseted dark princess of hard rock — clutching a tiny racquet certainly threw me for a loop, it was the action around her that really struck me. Her bandmates were sitting at a nearby table, cracking jokes with the road crew, cheering whenever she cracked a return volley over the net or caught the corner of the table with an arcing lob shot. Lee was laughing and taunting her opponent, who just so happened to be her husband, who could do nothing but smile and take a drink of beer. Everyone seemed to be happy, having a good time, very much enjoying their particular lots in life. And that was important, because it basically flew in the face of everything I thought I knew about Evanescence, a band for which drama was about as common as a Drop D tuning. Fans already know the backstory: the abrupt and acrimonious departure of co-founder Ben Moody and a sundry of other lineup changes (firings, etc.) that followed; Lee’s no-apologies kiss off to former boyfriend Shaun Morgan, “Call Me When You’re Sober” ; and the lengthy hiatus that came at the conclusion of the tour behind 2006’s The Open Door. Even the most casual of music fans was probably aware of Lee’s reputation as a difficult, oft-domineering taskmaster (or, if they weren’t, her former bandmates were more than happy to talk about it ). In short, being in Evanescence didn’t seem like a whole lot of fun. And when I first spoke to Lee earlier this year, just as the band was putting the finishing touches on their third album, she admitted that all the Sturm und Drang of fronting the band had taken a toll on her — so much so that she thought about giving up altogether. “There was drama. … There’s always freaking drama,” she said. “So we get towards the end of [the Open Door Tour], and I was like, ‘Guys, I don’t know about this. I need a break.’ I just wanted to be normal; I didn’t want to think about the next thing for as long as it took.” But after reuniting her estranged mates for a warm-up in 2009, something changed. Lee told me that she fell back in love with “the Evanescence part” of her personality and, recharged, she and the band holed up in Nashville to record what would, rather tellingly, be their self-titled album. It was released on Monday, ending a five-year drought, and it is very much a band record, with Lee sharing writing credits on 11 of the 12 songs. It is, as she told me back in June: ” About the band … about falling back in love with this thing, with Evanescence, with what I’ve obsessed over for a decade, longer than that.” Of course, I nodded. But I wasn’t sure if I believed her. After all, this was Evanescence. And that doubt only grew each subsequent shoot: In Nashville’s Blackbird Studios , where Lee — and producer Nick Raskulinecz (and none of her bandmates) — played me songs from the new album. At a sweltering video shoot in Brooklyn, where, though she was surrounded by the rest of the band, Lee did most of the talking . And, finally, back in Nashville, were Evanescence premiered their comeback single, “What You Want.” But it was on that second trip to Nashville where I began to notice something about 2011 Evanescence. Namely, they genuinely seem to like each other — a whole lot. Sure, in interviews, Lee answers most of the questions, but that’s only because the other guys in the band aren’t exactly leaping at the chance to do so (except bassist Tim McCord; he’s a funny dude). Man-mountain guitarist Terry Balsamo prefers to let his thundering chords do the talking, but behind the scenes, he’ll light up if you mention his beloved Florida Gators. Troy McLawhorn, who left the band to join up with Lee’s ex in Seether (but was welcomed back with open arms during the recording of Ev’s new album), kids around with his mates and talks at length about his wife and son. And drummer Will Hunt is, like all good drummers should be, a bit of a wild man, a guy who enjoys nothing more than playing loud and fast (and living much the same way). They each play a role, and they do so willingly, gladly even. They laugh and crack inside jokes (like the one about McCord, a fire alarm and a New York hotel — ask him about it sometime), they protect one another, and they keep the machine running, because they genuinely care about each other and their band. In a lot of ways, through all the trials and tribulations, Evanescence have become more than a band; they have become a family, a collection of individuals as different as can be, yet united by a common love for one another. Their new album — and the lengthy road that led to its creation — is a testament to that fact. And that night in the bar, with Lee whipping forehands and her bandmates cheering her on, was proof. At least for me. It was the kind of camaraderie that cannot be forced; it must be forged. And Evanescence have definitely gone through their share of hardening. Now, finally, they can enjoy not only being a band, but a functioning (albeit nontraditional) familial unit. In the best scenarios, the two are usually one in the same.
