Nick Cannon, being his playful and goofy self, was joking around on his WXRK 92.3 NOW New York based radio show last week when he “accidentally” ended up blurting out his home phone number ON AIR to listeners. After the incident it seemed like Nick immediately realized that it was a bad idea and tweeted: ”My wife is going to kill me over this. Sometimes I get a little too carried away on the radio … ” And then, “Just gave out my home phone # on air and my pregnant wife picked up the line OOPS!” C’mon Nick, what were you thinking?! Of course, Nick and Mariah’s humble abode was flooded with phone calls by fans who listened to Nick give out the phone number on his radio show. One fan even got the chance to speak with Mariah when she picked up the phone. Nick then took to Twitter to acknowledge Mariah for being such a good sport about the whole ordeal, tweeting: “Thanks to my amazing wife for being a good sport and allowing me to make good radio. @MariahCarey you are the best!” How cute! Nick and Mariah, who have been married since 2008, are in their last trimester of pregnancy and are expecting twins (a boy and girl) any day now. Nick is known for being public about his relationship and feelings for his wife, especially on his radio show, and as we told you before, recently expressed to listeners that he regretted taking nude photos with his wife for the OK! magazine spread. Can’t wait to see their twins!! Read more here. Mariah Carey’s Baby Nursery Cost How Much?!? LeAnn Rimes is a married woman once again. The country singer married actor Eddie Cibrian last night in a private, very un-hyped ceremony, but she confirmed the joyous news on Twitter afterward. “Eddie and I are overwhelmed by the amount of lovely well wishes. We are blessed and … I’m Mrs. Cibrian!!!!!” Rimes wrote on the social networking site. Rimes, 28, wore a Reem Acra gown as she and Cibrian, 37, exchanged personalized vows in a small, private affair Friday in front of about 40 guests. Eddie’s sons Mason, 7, and Jake, 4, from his previous marriage to Brandi Glanville – who recently called a truce with former rival LeAnn – were on hand. “So wonderful to wake up as husband and wife. Love to all of you,” she continued: Just in case anyone missed her Tweet, Rimes also updated her bio on the site … Where LeAnn Rimes’ description used to read, “Fiancee, Friend, Daughter, Caretaker To Everyone I Love Dearly, Incredibly Happy Woman….oh yeah, and I do this little thing called music and film too,” it now reads the following: “WIFE, Bonus Mom, Friend, Daughter, Caretaker To Everyone I Love Dearly, Incredibly Happy Woman… oh yeah, and I do this little thing called music and film.” Subtle, but life-changing status change. Congratulations to the couple. We know they’ve been through a lot of upheaval, with their affair, respective divorces and courtship playing out in the public eye, but here’s to a new, positive chapter and life of happiness for all involved.
Man, these football wives are something else. NFL matrimony-dom isn’t all it’s cracked up to be for Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who is laid up in a hospital bed after getting into a spat with his wife. Brandon Marshall was stabbed in the stomach Friday night by his wife and the Dolphins wide receiver remained in intensive care in a Miami hospital after surgery Saturday morning. Michi-Nogami-Marshall, 26, was arrested Friday night on one charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. According to Broward County police records cited by the Orlando Sun-Sentinel, Nogami-Marshall told deputies she stabbed Marshall in self-defense. Nogami-Marshall is being held on a $7,500 bond. Sources told ESPN.com that Marshall was taken to Broward General Hospital and underwent surgery late Friday night for the stab wound. Doctors are saying no vital organs were pierced and that the Pro Bowler will be okay in two to three weeks. Marshall’s agent Kennard McGuire released the following statement: “This is a very difficult time for Brandon and his family, thankfully he will make a full recovery. We simply ask during this time we respect his privacy.” The Miami Herald is reporting that a high-end team source sent a text message saying Marshall is “stable” and the stabbing isn’t life threatening. The Herald also said the Dolphins are now fully aware of the situation. Marshall, who was acquired from the Denver Broncos last April, lead the Dolphins in receiving yards in 2010 with 1,014 despite only playing 14 games. A hamstring injury caused him to sit out two games. Marshall, who was involved in the fight at a Denver nightclub that ended with the shooting death of his teammate Darrent Williams on New Year’s Eve in 2006, has a history of off-field incidents. He has multiple arrests for disorderly conduct, drunken driving and domestic violence on his record. In 2008 he was suspended for three games by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, but the suspension was later reduced to just one game With Marshall’s history of getting slizzed and domestic abuse there may be a whole lot more to this story. One thing is for sure — it ain’t safe for these two to be together. Source

Actor says his angry rants were recorded during ‘one terribly awful moment in time.’ By Gil Kaufman Mel Gibson Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images For much of the past year, the only times we’ve heard Mel Gibson’s voice in public were when new snippets of his now-infamous rant tapes were released by Radar Online. You might recall the racist, sexist explosion of rage at Gibson’s ex and mother of his infant daughter, Oksana Grigorieva, on the recordings, which were leaked by an unknown source to the site and revealed a dark, disturbing side to the actor whose biggest movies have often been laced with a sadistic streak. Gibson finally broke his silence on the matter this week, sitting down with a reporter from Deadline Hollywood and explaining that the tapes were made in “one terribly awful moment in time, said to one person in the span of one day, and doesn’t represent what I truly believe or how I’ve treated people my entire life.” After the tape scandal, as well as Gibson’s anti-Semitic rant during a drunken driving arrest in 2006, the actor said he realized people might not want to see him in movies again. But with the long-delayed film “The Beaver” slated to hit screens next month and another film in the works, Gibson is resigned to his box-office fate. “I could easily not act again. It’s not a problem,” he said. He admitted that, “of course” he regrets what he said on the recordings — which included threats on Grigorieva’s life — and that he was angry at himself for what he’d said, but that no one ever expressed any anger toward him about the scandal. And even though he’s been a public figure for three decades, Gibson said he was shocked when the tapes ended up online for the world to hear. “Who anticipates being recorded? Who anticipates that?” he said. “Who could anticipate such a personal betrayal?” But when asked how people are supposed to feel about the racist, sexist slurs he used, Gibson denied ever discriminating against anyone. “I’ve never treated anyone badly or in a discriminatory way based on their gender, race, religion or sexuality — period,” he said. “I don’t blame some people for thinking that though, from the garbage they heard on those leaked tapes, which have been edited. You have to put it all in the proper context of being in an irrationally, heated discussion at the height of a breakdown, trying to get out of a really unhealthy relationship.” The reporter also asked about the dust-up over his scotched cameo in “The Hangover II,” which reportedly was pulled after cast members complained about working with the tainted star. “You have to let that go,” he said, responding to the rumors for the first time. “I sat here and talked to [director] Todd [Phillips] about it. I like Todd. How could you not like Todd? He’s smart and he’s gifted and so are the other people in the film. It’s okay. You just have to let that go.” While some longtime friends such as Whoopi Goldberg and “Beaver” co-star Jodie Foster spoke out on Gibson’s behalf, they were in the minority, and the interviewer wondered how the lack of public support from his peers made Gibson feel. “That doesn’t bother me,” he said. “Why would anyone want to speak publicly and drag themselves through this crap? It seems to add fuel to the fire. Very many people are supportive, of course, but you find out who your friends are. I have many friends, and they’ve been great.” Though legally barred from discussing his custody proceedings with Grigorieva, Gibson did talk about the plea deal he took in the assault case against his ex, which allowed him to avoid jail time. “I was allowed to end the case and still maintain my innocence. It’s called a West plea, and it’s not something that prosecutors normally allow,” he said. “But in my case, the prosecutors and the judge agreed that it was the right thing to do. I could have continued to fight this for years, and it probably would have come out fine. But I ended it for my children and my family. This was going to be such a circus. You don’t drag other people in your life through this sewer needlessly, so I’ll take the hit and move on.” Gibson also declined to talk about his divorce from his wife of 28 years, Robyn, citing the lack of privacy in his life due to his fame, but he did say the tape scandal may be the worst thing he’s put his family through. “The main thing is that it was terribly humiliating and painful for my family, all my kids,” he said. “I had to speak to them with everyone, but my youngest who is blissfully unaware, thank God. Well, she may be aware of it one day, and at that time, I guess I’ll just address that. I spent 30 years keeping them away from this kind of thing and I was quite successful. So why should I start now dragging them through that stuff? You try to manage that.” Related Photos Celebrity Mug Shots
Actress is set to play mob wife Kim Gotti in the film. By Jocelyn Vena Lindsay Lohan Photo: Jeff Vespa/ WireImage After some momentary drama on Wednesday, when it seemed that Lindsay Lohan’s role in the mob family biopic “Gotti: Three Generation” was in jeopardy, later that day it was confirmed that the embattled starlet would still be in the film. Originally up for the role of Victoria Gotti, Lohan is now set to play the wife of John Gotti Jr., Kim Gotti. “I’m really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do,” Lohan said about the casting, according to The Associated Press. “I think it’s such an iconic story. I think it’s a great story to be told. I’m honored to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci.” The movie’s producer, Marc Fiore, explained to People.com that it was Lohan herself who managed to make sure she got cast in the flick. “She was definitely out as of earlier today, but she really wanted the part,” he said. “She not only is back in the movie, but she single-handedly put it all together. She called me personally and put her team on it, and we came to an agreement.” Lohan, who was originally rumored to be a part of the movie earlier this month, said that she looks forward to playing the role because “you don’t get to see the heart behind the story and the real side of people. I can relate to that because I think that I’ve been portrayed in a certain light. I just want to do my best to show what their family really went through.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Surveillance video taken inside a tattoo shop just before Nicolas Cage was arrested this weekend shows the actor drinking and arguing with his wife and others. Cage is clearly shown carrying some sort of drink as he stumbles around, fretting to employees about not recalling where he lived and getting testy with wife Alice. Nic began throwing his clothes around, demanding to get inked up. Intoxicated, he then asked employees to call the cops … ’cause he didn’t know where he lived. Police report that this was the topic he and Alice were arguing over – the address where they’re living while he films Medallion – when he allegedly grabbed her. In the surveillance tape, Cage, holding a clear plastic cup, can be seen with his arms around two friends as he enters. Nic walked out and back in and out again. At that point, he can be seen arguing with his wife and friends. His wife can be seen motioning to herself throughout, as if to say, “Listen to me” or “Come with me.” Eventually, Nic acquiesced and left the shop … only to later be arrested on charges of domestic violence and disturbing the peace, having taunted police to bust him. He was released on $11,000 bail after Duane “Dog” Chapman posted bond for him, which is easily the most random and hilarious part of an already classic story. [Photo: WENN.com]
