Rihanna’s “Talk That Talk” album is on it’s way and she only has one guest on it! She recently teased on Twitter: “One feature on the album! And we got the best!!!!!” so, naturally , fans began to wonder. Today it was revealed that the special guest is none other than her mentor and repeat collaborator Jay-Z. He appears on the album’s title track. Producer Stargate and his partner Tor Erik Hermansen told Norwegian website 730.no: “This is the first time we do a song with Jay-Z and Rihanna together. Actually it’s the first time Jay does anything on our beats. It was about time. ‘Talk That Talk’ is a mid-tempo banger with hard drums, dirty synths, and Rihanna and Jay at their best. We are very happy with the song and Jay’s verse is crazy—same with Rihanna’s part.” Rihanna confirmed the news on Twitter today, saying: “Yes sir! Jigga man is on the title track” The two have already made hits together with “Umbrella” and “Run This Town,” so we have high expectations. Last night was a hilarious and drama filled episode of “Basketball Wives LA”. The girls were continuing their relaxing Hawaiian vacation and still unveiling new drama that Jackie caused. In an attempt to smooth things over with Jackie at the beginning of the episode, all the ladies meet during breakfast to try and confront Jackie about her manipulative ways. Nothing gets resolved in this confrontation however, as Jackie comes in the room already on the defense and ready for whatever the girls had to throw at her. After a brief shouting match, the girls realize that it’s no getting through to Jackie and decide to go clear their heads by doing a little shopping. Now, I don’t know about you, but picking out cute shoes with the enemy doesn’t make things okay! Jackie seemed confused that there was still tension in the air between her and the girls during their shopping outing, and continued to try and find someone to pull to the side and talk about how fake every one is, although it seemed like this time, none of the girls were actually listening. Later on in the episode, Malaysia gets a phone call from another “basketball wife” who dishes on what Jackie has said about each and every girl on the show. At this point, everyone has had enough of Jackie’s ways and they collectively (yes, Draya included) decide to vote Jackie off the island and send her packing back to LA! Ouch! Here are five reasons why Jackie was voted off the island on last night’s episode! 1. Because she is the island! Prior to Jackie’s exit, she stated, “me voted off the island? I AM the island!” Anyone who thinks they are the whole island of Hawaii deserves to be sent home. I’m just saying! 2. Because she’s “tacky Jackie”. After the girls decided to send Jackie packing, Draya said, “Say goodbye to tacky Jackie!” The nickname itself pretty much sums up reason number two why Jackie should have been voted off the island. 3. Because she brought her husband on the trip. Where was Doug Christie hiding all this time? He just randomly appeared during this episode only for us to find out that he has been on the vacation with her all this time? I thought this was supposed to be a relaxing GIRLS vacation? I guess it’s a good thing that she brought her hubby along so he could help her pack those bags when her time was up! 4. Because shes “coo-ky” and she’s like 59 and a half (in Laura’s voice). All this drama was so unnecessary. The back and forth, he said she said, it was enough to make me crazy! It’s no reason all that drama should have occurred during a vacation in paradise and it all came from Jackie. I would have sent her packing too and went back to sipping Pina Coladas on the beach! 5. Because her horse sensed that she had a bad vibe. When the girls went horse back riding, the horse that Jackie chose to ride seemed to sense that she had a bad vibe. According to Draya, horses can sense when people have evil spirits surrounding them. I wouldn’t want anybody with an evil spirit close to me during my vacation! This, ladies and gents, is the part of the healing and grieving process known as “anger,” and, of course, it comes after “denial.” Gloria Govan was recently asked about her break-up and Matt moving on to a bigger, badder, more Mexican version of her . And apparently, even though both Matt and Eva Longoria have denied that they are bumping uglies or even sharing romantic meals , it seems like the idea of him keeping it moving was all it took for her to get over hopes of a reconciliation. “I’m not sure if I think they’re rumors. I think at this point having been with Matt, I don’t really put anything past him. He hasn’t directly said, ‘I’m doing this. I’m doing that.’ I’ve heard from some sources that it could be a definite possibility,” Gloria told Sister 2 Sister . Gloria, who just moved out of the house she shared with her former fiancé last month, said she did take pause when hearing that Eva and Matt have been keeping company for at least that long. “Dang. I haven’t even been out of the house for a month,” said Gloria. “Those are the things that float around that start to get to you in your relationship. I know he denied it, but I don’t really know too much about that situation to say it’s not true, but I don’t know enough to say that it is. It wouldn’t surprise me.” Her anger is directed at more than just Matt and those dirty dog tendencies she keeps alluding to though. There’s some for the “Basketball Wives: L.A.” post-production team too. He asked me about that. That’s not how I said it. That was disrespectful. I’d re-edit that part. That’s not how I meant it,” she said about a moment caught on camera in which she seemed to declare her independence from Matt and casually said, “He can bounce.” “That was a heartfelt conversation between me and my sister. I was on the verge of tears. They didn’t show all that. That’s not how I feel. I actually kinda like him,” said Gloria, who admitted that the reality spotlight didn’t help things. “I think it definitely brought on added stress to our relationship. We’re filming five days a week for hours at a time. That brings on added drama and added stress. The show wasn’t the reason Matt and I have gone our separate ways, but it has added some unnecessary drama,” she said. Sure it wasn’t. Keep telling yourself that. Angry Gloria even threw a few shots at Eva Longoria in the interview. Gloria isn’t dating anyone new yet, but when she does return to the romantic playing field, she doesn’t plan to be suiting up with any other basketball players. “Someone who dates multiple players like in the same field is a groupie,” said Gloria, not specifically referring to co-star Draya Michele or Eva, the ex-wife of baller Tony Parker. “If you continue to date athletes, you’re going to be considered a groupie. At some point in time, you have to have respect for yourself and not dip into the same cookie jar. I know women who’ve dated different basketball players. I’m attracted to athletes, but I have enough respect for Matt not to date one of his colleagues,” she said. For some reason though, we’re sure she’ll be back to her old self soon. “At some point in time when I am starting to look to seriously date, it could be a celebrity or another athlete from another sport,” she said. Jackie Christie has been bad mouthed by the media for years as Doug’s ball-and-chain/parole officer, but she’s not the she-devil the media makes her out to be. Since production started for VH1’s “Basketball Wives LA,” Jackie Christie has been taking care of an ailing mother and playing mom to more than her three children. Here’s what she had to say when she spoke to TV One . BBWLA In reference to the cast of BBWLA, Jackie Christie says she is a mentor for the other women. Her wholesome yet spicy delivery can make even Draya calm down and adhere. “I don’t have an issue with anybody on the show,” Jackie says. “I’m more of the mentor. They come to me for advice, my intentions are to help them to be better people.” Jackie says when she lost her mother Cora last month, all of her cast members reached out to her, even the ones she didn’t necessarily get along with. “I was touched by the girls when they reached out,” Jackie Says, “It shows that they’re great people. Everybody put what they thought about me aside and reached out.” The Place This Basketball Wife Calls Home Losing Her Mother Before her mom’s death, Jackie and family made frequent trips from L.A. up to Washington to spend time with Cora, who was battling liver cancer. “Losing my mom, I’d say is the hardest thing I ever had to deal with my life,” says Jackie. They became close 19 years ago when Cora started helping raise Jackie’s kids. “I was a working mother,” Jackie says, “I said if you stop working and help I will make sure that I take care of you always. We’ve gotten closer in the 19 years; it’s amazing what I learned from her.” One of the things Jackie learned from Cora was how to be a great mother, even to her oldest daughter Ta’Kari, who was recently involved with some social media mishap. The Drama Surrounding Her Oldest Daughter Ta’Kari challenged Jackie’s mothering techniques and the authenticity of her relationship with her own mother on Twitter, but Jackie says her daughter didn’t do it on her own. “I love my daughter with all my heart. I was shocked when all that stuff came up because it couldn’t be further from the truth,” Jackie says. “When I asked about it, there were people who were trying to push my daughter to do that stuff. It is pathetic. I would never put my daughter out there and throw her under the bus.” Jackie says Ta’Kari, who was spending weekend with her at the time of the interview, apologized and they have prayed about the issue. “Some website tried to release that article.” Christie says, “It was a lot of people doing that, claiming they were with Ta’Kari; she had nothing to do with that.” Jackie, who is used to the media bashing her name, has not allowed the gossip to bother her. Even though her mother has passed and the first season of “BWLA” is over, Jackie continues to spread her wisdom on love, parenting, and friendships though her many entrepreneurial pursuits including inspirational books and Jean Rah Fya record company. With infidelity and divorce rumors swirling around him , Ashton Kutcher attended the GQ Gentleman’s Ball in New York City last night, taking the stage to be honored for the anti-child prostitution charity he founded with wife Demi Moore. She did not join him at the event. Instead, Rabbi Philip Berg, Kutcher’s spiritual mentor and the Dean of the worldwide Kabbalah Centre organization, was by the actor’s side. “Our global issues are getting tougher,” Kutcher said during his speech. “A lot of the things we’re doing we can’t talk about, but I can promise you we’re fighting and we’re going to make a change, so that’s a little about what I’m working on.” Following these words, the Two and a Half Men star returned to his seat and was asked by radio personality Craig Schwartz how everything was going. “I am doing okay, thanks,” Kutcher reportedly replied. “Thank you for caring. Sister Wives star Kody Brown welcomed his 17th child yesterday. Today, we bring you the first look (courtesy of TLC) of Solomon. Solomon Brown was born at the polygamous family’s Las Vegas home at 2:02 Wednesday morning, weighing in at 9 lbs, 10.5 oz. Here is the little angel with father Kody, mom Robyn, and sort-of moms Meri, Christine and Janelle … Robyn’s pregnancy was the focus of Sister Wives’ Season 3 premiere . Solomon joins Mariah, Madison, Savanah, Logan, Hunter, Garrison, Gabriel, Aspyn, Mykelti, Gwendlyn, Ysabel, Truely, Paedon, Dayton, Aurora and Breanna. Three of the children are Robyn’s from a previous relationship, so this is her first child with Kody, who has fathered the other 13 kids with the Sister Wives . Congratulations to the happy, unconventional, ever-expanding family!
Add this to the list of many things we just don’t understand about this whole “Sister Wives” concept. Sister Wives star Kody Brown and his fourth wife Robyn welcomed their newest son to their polygamist family on Wednesday, bringing the total number of children in the family to 17. Solomon Brown was born at 2:02 a.m. on Wednesday in the family’s Las Vegas home, and he weighed 9 lbs., 10.5 oz., and is 22 inches long. Dad Kody was reportedly thrilled with the new baby, telling a magazine “He’s perfect and we couldn’t be happier.” The controversial family is headed by Kody who has four wives in total. Meri, Janelle and Christine are original spouse Robyn’s “sister wives” and the family has left Utah and are struggling with the changes in their lives separated in four houses in Nevada. So, four mortgages AND 17 kids?? That works for y’all? In 2011? Must be nice. Source
Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan of the NBA’s LA Lakers and VH1’s Basketball Wives fame, respectively, have announced their split. They had a nice run together, mostly. After calling off their engagement last year, but convincing the public they’re still a couple, the two confirmed the breakup we ALL knew was coming this week. Matt emailed out a statement today about the split from Gloria Govan (sister of Gilbert Arenas baby mana/Shaq mistress Laura Govan ), saying the following: “I’d like to address rumors surrounding mine and Gloria’s relationship. We’ve reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways. We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best.” Gloria just tweeted her statement saying: “I’m sure you guys are hearing a ton of buzz about Matt and Me breaking up, sorry to say… its true!!!!!! But the most important thing is focusing on my kids and continuing to have a good relationship with their father, thanks for your support!!!” A heated Twitter exchange this month between Matt and a fan – who suggested Barnes should Govan or else someone else will – was a bad sign. Responded Barnes: “He can have her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Classy. Meanwhile, she Tweeted Saturday: “If someone is dumb enough to walk away, be smart enough to let them go.
