Fair Or Foul: Murder Victim’s Sons Jump Handcuffed, Convicted Killer In Courtroom Brawl

Source: Sutad Watthanakul / EyeEm / Getty Victim’s Sons Beat Up Convicted Killer A video’s gone viral of two sons beating up the man who killed their mother. On Thursday the sentencing hearing for a man convicted of killing an Ohio woman erupted in chaos when the victim’s two sons attacked the handcuffed defendant, Dale Williams, inside the courtroom. Williams, 62, was on hand for sentencing for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Elizabeth Pledger Stewart, 46. While Pledger Stewart’s daughter was giving her victim impact statement, however, the woman’s two sons attacked the convicted killer. Both men managed to get to Williams and punched him before being detained. “He killed my mother, man,” said one of the sons. “That was my mama! She took care of me, bro, when nobody else did.” WKBN reports that Williams admitted to killing Pledger Stewart after waiting for her for more than 45 minutes for her to drive by him on her way to work so he could cut her off and shoot her. Both sons will spend 30 days in jail for contempt of court. Seems like it was worth it to us.

Lil Kim Calls Out Andy Cohen & Other Media Outlets on IG Live

(Photo by Greg Doherty/Getty Images) Uploaded By Godspeed Lil Kim ‘s imprint on Hip-Hop history is well branded and well deserved and though she’s never been one to keep her mouth shut she refuses to speak to anyone who doesn’t put any respect on her name. Recently the OG Queen Bee took to Instagram Live to explain why she refused to do interviews for both Andy Cohen and the media in general. Revealing that she had some press set up for Thursday, Kim explained that she pulled out of all her obligations because “two of the major outlets wanted to be messy and my publicist and my manager made the executive decision to shut it down.” The “Lighters Up” rapper went on to state that “I refuse to f*ckin’ keep doing all of these interviews, publications and all of that sh*t if muthaf*ckas is not gonna respect who I am, what i’ve done, where i’m at now – put some f*ckin’ respect on my name, period.” According to Kim she was set up to appear on Access Hollywood , The Today Show and Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen , but apparently her team wasn’t feeling the direction one or all of these shows wanted to go with their interviews. Without going into specifics about what kind of “messy” Cohen (who she thought she had a cool relationship with) and others wanted to get into, the pint sized Brooklyn rapper stated that “If y’all don’t see me doing press, if y’all don’t see me doing certain things, it’s ’cause I’m fighting. I’m f**king fighting. I’m not f**king just about to have muthaf**kers not put respect on my name. So don’t act stupid. Don’t start asking all these dumb questions, ‘why she not doing this? why she not doing that?’ cause now y’all f*ckin’ know!” Well, we can’t blame her for pulling out of shows that she felt might’ve been looking to ask her questions she wasn’t comfortable answering. As for that long awaited follow up album to 2005’s The Naked Truth , Kim promises it’ll drop “real, real soon.” Check out Lil Kim’s IG statement below and let us know if you think she’s in the right to put the media on blast.

Candy’s Death On ‘Pose’ Embodies The Dreams Deferred Of All The Black Trans Women We’ve Lost

Read this article:

Source: Pose / FX Networks WARNING: Major spoilers ahead for episode 4 of “Pose:” If it felt that in the second season of Pose Candy Ferocity ( Angelica Ross ) was growing and developing into something bigger and better, you were not alone. While in the hit ballroom drama, Candy has always struggled, especially with choosing the correct category, she’d come a long way. Yes, she is still a mean girl who can read the girls and even threaten folks with that infamous hammer of hers, but she’s evolved a bit. She’s no longer the girl having strangers in basements inject faulty silicon in her rear, nor is she tagging behind former house mother Elektra Abundance Evangelista Wintour ( Dominique Jackson ) feeding off her scraps. Ms. Candy—as Pray Tell ( Billy Porter ) would say—had stepped up to become a co-mother, molding her own children and house, along with doing her damnedest to carve out her own lasting legacy. And as we jumped three years later to 1990 this season, we see how the girls—rather naively and annoyingly—have faith that Madonna’s hit song “Vogue” would bring them all from the shadows of this underground world into the  bright lights of the Big Apple. As Candy said, she needed to the first one in the line of that mainstream gaze, because she has bigger dreams than winning trophies in the face category. She was destined to become a star in the outside world. She was looking to the future. Source: Pose / FX Networks Of course, we all wanted that for her, to see her rise and be successful like Angel (Indya Moore ), but in the fourth episode “ Never Knew Love Like This Before,” we realize that Candy “is never coming home.” Days after she’d gone missing, her bruised and bloody body was found, thrown in a seedy hotel closet like yesterday’s trash. See, Candy had to engage in survival sex work to keep her house afloat, but this time around, the danger too many vulnerable women like her face is what ended her life. Granted, it’s not like death is new to Pose . But the majority of those deaths have been from complications of AIDS, mostly taking the lives of Black and Latinx men. Meanwhile, many of the girls (outside of Blanca) seemed unscathed by the virus on-screen. But as Angelica Ross recently told me this season co-creator Ryan Murphy was clear that this season they would no longer be viewing these women’s world through “rose colored glasses.” But thankfully, her death wasn’t treated like an afterthought like Tara from True Blood or with blatant disregard like Missandei on Game of Thrones). As I recently pointed out for Shondaland , Candy’s storyline was treated with “the love, dignity and respect it deserved.” During Candy’s memorial, her fierce-as-ever ghost appeared in order to make amends with frenemies like Pray Tell, encourage Angel to carry on her torch to the next generation of trans girls like her and to reunite with her estranged parents who had refused to see their son as the woman she was born to be. Most importantly, Candy was no longer the butt of the ball’s jokes. In her final scene, she was able to fulfill her biggest goal before crossing over: To be the queen of the ballroom in a category she knew she could conquer, lip-syncing. But it’s important to point out that this stunning (and triggering moment) in television was also an example of art imitating life. In the iconic 1990 documentary Paris Is Burning , which Pose is heavily inspired by, Venus Xtravaganza’  promising life was ended short when her body was found in a “sleazy motel” four days after she’d been strangled. Like Candy, her killer was never caught. One would think that with time comes progress, but for trans women, specifically Black and Latinx trans women like Candy and Venus, that isn’t always the case. Yes, they are more visible in pop culture, but being seen doesn’t translate into safety. Just this year alone, eleven Black trans women in the U.S. have been murdered : Dana Martin. Jazzaline Ware. Ashanti Carmon. Claire Legato. Muhlaysia Booker. Michelle “Tamika” Washington. Paris Cameron. Chynal Lindsey. Chanel Scurlock. Zoe Spears. Brooklyn Lindsey. What’s even worse is that it’s estimated that the average lifespan for trans women is only 35-years-old. Think if that were the case for cisgender Black women. Think if every year you inch closer to 35, you inch closer to death. Every time you blow out your birthday candles you are reminded of ALL the years, happiness and dreams that will be robbed from you because you are brave enough to live your truth. That’s the real tragedy. All that potential, just lost. All of the gifts they can offer and receive from this world, gone. This is exactly what Candy’s fictional death represents—the dreams deferred of the real-life Black trans women we’ve lost and will continue to lose to this senseless, transphobic and crippling violence. Sadly, it’s happening on our watch. So if there was ever a time to stand up for Black trans women, it’s now. Now is the time to love and support our sisters by fighting for a better and more welcoming world that allows for them to live their fullest and longest lives. We owe them that. Most importantly, now is the time to ensure that when we say the names of the Candys of this world, we’re not just doing it in death, but celebrating them in life. That’s A Wrap: Sixth Season Of ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Will Be Its Final

Source: Steve Granitz / Getty How To Get Away With Murder Will End With Its Sixth Season The messy life of law professor Annalise Keating will finally wrap up with the last season of How To Get Away With Murder airing this year. HTGAWM made it’s debut in 2014 with Viola Davis playing an antihero who gets mixed up in murder, secrets and complicated relationships with her law students. The role acted as a boost to Davis’ career, making her the first woman of color to win the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2015. In a statement to Shadow & Act , ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke explained: “Viola Davis made television history with her unforgettable portrayal of iconic female antihero Annalise Keating. I am eternally grateful to her, Pete Nowalk and Shondaland for creating and bringing to life such a smart, sophisticated and groundbreaking series that has long been an integral part of Thursday nights on ABC.” The creator of the series, Pete Nowalk, said: “Deciding to end this series was a brutal decision, but ultimately the story tells you what to do – as it did here. For me, Annalise Keating’s journey has always had a clear ending. Knowing I have 15 episodes left to finish her story, and the chance to give all the characters their own killer endings, is a gift rarely given to a series creator and I’m grateful to ABC and ABC Studios for the opportunity and creative freedom. I am so thankful to the brilliant cast, writers and crew for dedicating themselves to the most rewarding experience of my career over the last six years. I also want to thank our fans. The only reason this show exists is because of your loyalty and enthusiasm. I can’t wait for you all to see how it ends, with twists and turns and all the craziness we love to create every Thursday night. Buckle up.” ABC said the final season will “follows Professor Annalise Keating’s (Viola Davis) class through their final semester in law school – while the deception, fear and guilt binding Professor Keating to her students prove deadlier than ever.” Scandalous. Get ready for the sixth season premiere on September 26!

Diminutive Bagel Shop Patron Goes on Tirade Against Women

It's time to move over, Florida Man . You must now officially make room for Long Island Man. Or, to be more precise we suppose, you must make room for Short Long Island Man, based on a hilarious/disturbing new video that has gone very viral in a very short period of time. In a video posted to Twitter this week, a woman is heard at the Bagel Boss shop in Bay Shore, New York, asking a middle-aged man wearing running shoes, shorts and a striped polo shirt why he thinks it's acceptable to “degrade women.” We don't know the circumstances that prompted this question… only that it led to an epic tirade in response. “Degrade – why is it okay for women to say, 'Oh you’re five feet on dating sites, you should be dead,'” the man fires back as he hurls a newspaper he was holding to the floor. “That's okay?” Wait, what, the woman responds? No one at the store said anything like that. “Women in general have said it on dating sites. You think I'm making that sh-t up,” the patron screams back while throwing his arms in the air. “Everywhere I go I get the same f-cking smirk with the biting lip.” This is actually pretty sad. The poor guy clearly has understandable self-esteem issues… which is not an excuse for the way he acted here. But it's still something everyone viewing the footage ought to consider. Another customer then interjects, telling the man to “calm down.” But this has the opposite effect. “Shut your mouth. You're not God or my father or my boss,” he yells. When another customer also tells the man to chill out, his anger only reaches a new level. “Dude you want to step outside? You want to step outside? Huh? I'm not scare of you, pal.” The third time, however, is NOT the charm for this guy. After telling yet another patron to also “shut up” and challenging him to a fight, the bitter dating site user gets tackled to the grond. Hard. As you might expect, and mostly understand, the Internet is having a field day with this video. To wit: But we sort of have two different reactions: FIRST, imagine if this were an overweight woman, responding in sadness and anger over how she is looked at by men. We somehow doubt folks would be mocking her in the same way. SECOND, couldn't you see this guy going on some sort of shooting spree in the near future? Based on the domestic violence history of nearly all mass shooters, toxic masculinity is to blame for this epidemic as much as any other societal issue. The guy already felt snubbed by the opposite sex. Now, he probably feels like the laughing stock of pretty much everyone out there. It's scary to consider. Check out the footage here and draw your own conclusion.

Ariana Grande: I Was So Drunk and Sad I Barely Remember Making "Thank U, Next"!

2018 was a crazy roller coaster ride for Ariana Grande.  She hit some extremely low points after she and Pete Davidson began dating, got engaged and broke up all within the span of about six months.  And then again when she had to deal with the tragic loss of her ex-boyfriend and beloved rapper Mac Miler who passed away after an accidental drug overdose . But they say you can’t appreciate the good days until you have had some bad ones, and Ari definitely faced numerous difficult days.  And with her losses came major gains.  In February of this year, Ariana was taking over the charts. Literally, it felt like she was releasing a new banger every other day.  Thanks to her whirlwind romance with Pete Davidson, her latest album Thank U, Next  was born. And thanks to music Ari was able to find a bit of peace following Miller’s death.  In her new cover interview with Vogue , Grande opens up about the making of her album along with growing up and dealing with grief.  The Sweetener songstress started by revealing that her friends had actually convinced her to move to New York City from Los Angeles for the summer of 2018.  “My friends were like, ‘Come! We’re gonna have a fun summer,'” she recalled. “And then I met Pete, and it was an amazing distraction.” “It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic,” she said. “And I loved him. And I didn’t know him.” Ari then went on to explain how she isn’t good at real life — we all get it, adulting is hard. “I’m like an infant when it comes to real life and this old soul, been-around-the-block-a-million-times artist,” she added. “I still don’t trust myself with the life stuff.” Grande ultimately released her hit breakup anthem “Thank U, Next” which graciously called out exes including Davidson, Big Sean, Ricky Alvarez and yes, Mac Miller. The song was released during the period in which it was made, which is one of the first times she had been single in a while.  “I think that this is the first album and also the first year of my life where I’m realizing that I can no longer put off spending time with myself, just as me,” she explained. “I’ve been boo’d up my entire adult life.” “I’ve always had someone to say goodnight to. So “thank u, next” was this moment of self-realization,” she continued.  “It was this scary moment of ‘Wow, you have to face all this stuff now. No more distraction. You have to heal all this s–t.'” Not only was Ariana putting out music because she had fresh inspo from her break up with Pete , but also because the studio was her safe haven.   Miller passed away in September 2018 and Ari and Pete split the next month, with both of those dramatic events taking place back to back, the 26-year-old admits she barely even remembers making the album. “My friends know how much solace music brings me, so I think it was an all-around, let’s get her there type situation,” she said. “But if I’m completely honest, I don’t remember those months of my life because I was (a) so drunk and (b) so sad.” “I don’t really remember how it sarted or how it finished, or how all of a sudden there were 10 songs on the board,” she recalled. And while the Florida native is for the most part extremely open with her fans, she still prefers to keep that part of her life private. “I’m a person who’s been through a lot and doens’t know what to say about any of it to myself, let alone the world,” she admitted to the outlet.  “I see myself onstage as this perfectly polished, great-at-my-job entertainer, and then in situations like this I’m just this little basket-case puddle of figuring it out.” “I have to be the luckiest girl in the world, and the unlickiest, for sure,” she said She went on to explain how she is currently working on celebrating the good, rather than always fearing for the worse . “I’m walking this fine line between healing myself and not letting the things I’ve gone through be picked at before I’m ready,” she said. “And also celebrating the beautiful things that have happened in my life and not feeling scared that they will be taken away from me because trauma tells me that they will be.” “you know what I mean?” she adds. But while she is currently on tour, we feel for her. “I was researching healing and PTSD and talking to therapists, and everyone was like, ‘You need a routine, a schedule,'” she said. “Of course because I’m an extremist, I’m like, OK, I’ll go on tour!” “But it’s hard to sing songs that are about wounds that are so fresh,” she admitted. “It’s fun, it’s pop music, and I’m not trying to make it sound like anything that it’s not but these songs to me really do represent some heavy s–t.” While Ari still has many shows left on her Sweetener world tour, we send all the love and well wishes her way.  View Slideshow: Ariana Grande DESTROYS Haters Over Disgusting Mac Miller Comments!

Kailyn Lowry Responds to Rumors She’s Expecting a Baby Girl!

Teen Mom pregnancy rumors are like Trump tweets: It’s really only newsworthy if a whole day goes by without a particularly crazy one going viral on Twitter. The latest round of speculation has fans theorizing that Kailyn Lowry is pregnant with her fourth child . Kail, of course, is already mother to three boys — so perhaps it should come as no surprise that the latest rumor has Kail finally welcoming a baby girl. Usually, these reports make their way around social media and quietly disappear without the subject of the speculation ever dignifying them with a response. But this time, Kail felt the need to speak out. And remarkably, it seems she’s just as giddy as her followers when it comes to rumors of a bouncing baby girl. Over the weekend, a fan commented on Lowry’s YouTube channel and stated that she “really, really wants a baby girl soon.” (As far as we can tell, she meant that she wants a baby girl for Kail, not for herself.) That’s the kind of comment that some stars might dismiss as creepy, but it seems Kail shares in the girl’s enthusiasm. “I actually just said this! I really do. I don’t know what it is! Everyone says you should be happy with what you got. I am obviously,” said Lowry. “If I couldn’t have kids, I’m happy with my three boys but I do, I really wish I could have a girl at some point in life.” So yeah, while it sounds like Kail wouldn’t mind welcoming a baby girl at some point in the very near future, it also sounds as though her oven is currently bun-less. Still, the fact that she’s got babies on the brain has led many to wonder who Kail might be considering as the father of her fourth child. The obvious answer would seem to be Chris Lopez, given that Kail has strongly hinted that she’s still in love with him . But there have also been reports that Lowry has a new man in her life and has finally moved on from Lopez. Whatever the case, we’re guessing Kail is in no big hurry to bring another baby into her life. After all, as a mother of three, reality star, podcaster, and bestselling author who recently launched her own line of hair care products, the woman already has a lot on her plate. Still, we wouldn’t be surprised to hear a pregnancy announcement from Kail before the year is out. View Slideshow: Kailyn Lowry: Did She Actually Cheat on Javi With Her Best Friend’s Husband?!
