Actress rushes to help a young woman lying in her lawn Monday. By Audrey Cook Jennifer Lawrence Assisting A Fainting Woman Outside Her L.A. Apartment Complex Photo: Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t just rush to action on the big screen. The “Hunger Games” starlet was walking her dog outside her L.A. apartment complex Monday when she stumbled upon a young woman lying on her back on the lawn. According to X17 , Lawrence raced over to help the young woman while someone nearby called the paramedics. A photographer on the scene told the photo agency, “Jennifer ran outside her apartment when she heard a girl scream and immediately called 911. When the EMT arrived, she stayed to make sure everything was OK. She was really scared for the girl.” The Santa Monica Police Department told TMZ , “The young lady who collapsed was a juvenile and was part of a group that was together,” adding that “alcohol may have played a role in the incident.” Lawrence, sporting a casual look in gray sweatpants and a black tank top, got on the ground to assist the woman and stayed by her side until paramedics arrived. It’s unclear why the woman was in front of Lawrence’s property, but paramedics treated the unidentified woman on the scene, and she was then cleared to leave. Lawrence isn’t the only celebrity who has played superhero recently: Patrick Dempsey came to the rescue a little less than two months ago, saving a teenager who crashed his car outside the “Grey’s Anatomy” star’s house. Lawrence is gearing up to reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen in the “Hunger Games” sequel “Catching Fire,” slated to hit theaters in November 2013. Would you rush outside to help an injured stranger if you found them on your property? Share your thoughts!
My friends over at Playboy took a risky strategy that I can only blame on Heff’s dying, strokes, totaly disconnect from what people actually want to see, that comes in the form of Jenny McCarthy showing off her naked body in Playboy like it was 1999 and she was just starting up her career, instead of it being 2012, when her career has pretty much hit a brick wall…..and I guess the only hope is that her implants are only 16 years old, so we can stare at those like sex offenders, when her AUSTISTIC child making rest of her get ignored…. I don’t care how fit bitch is, there comes an age when you put your clothes back on and never take them off, where publicity stunts come in the form of attempted suicide and drunk driving…not showing off bush she’s already been quoted as saying she grew out to cover up her old mangled lips… Either way, disaster…but I’ll post the rest of the pics when they drop….cuz I like disasters in the form of the woman form.
When he saw 90-year-old lady being knocked to the ground outside a convenience store by an mugger who ran away, Robb Revelli sprang into action. Revelli, 36, helped the woman grab her credit cards that fell during the attack, then asked if she wanted to go to the hospital or chase the attacker. “If she was down, I was down to go get him,” he said, “and we did.” The pair caught up to the attacker , 27-year-old Damarea Johnson. “[I] caught up to him and put him in a headlock, and he started throwing money,” Revelli (pictured), a former rugby player, told the Oakland Tribune . “He kept fighting the whole time. I had scratches on my face.” As Revelli held the man down, the woman called 911 to report the crime and to praise her good Samaritan rescuer. “He’s an excellent, wonderful fellow,” the woman, who has asked that her identity not be released, told police on the call. “I hope God protects him and blesses him for the rest of his life.”
I’m not sure I know who this Laura Vandervoort chick is, I want to say she’s a dutch pornstar, but I don’t think that’s right. Whoever she is, she was invited to the Ted premiere last night and she brought along a decent amount of cleavage. Alright, maybe not cleavage, but she’s showing off a lot of skin. If you’re into chestbones you probably love this kind of thing. Anyhow, the woman is pretty hot, I’m impressed. Now take your tops off.
‘He just broke down, and he said, ‘I can’t do it anymore,’ ‘ Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, recalls to MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: It’s not always easy being Justin Bieber . In fact, there has been a moment or two when the Believe singer had his doubts about embarking on a life of celebrity. He recently opened up to Fabulous magazine about questioning his life of fame after he found himself smack dab in the middle of a paternity scandal with a fan, Mariah Yeater, who claimed he fathered her child. He remained steadfast that he never even met the woman, and she eventually dropped her claim. But, as it turns out — according to Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun — when Bieber needed a pick-me-up and some convincing to stick to the music game another time, he looked to a pro athlete for some wisdom. “There was a show in Orlando, [Florida] … It was a day where he had to make a decision if he was going to continue on or not, ’cause he was fighting,” Braun recalled to MTV News. “We were in Orlando. We had a sold-out arena show, and it had gotten to a point where kids were surrounding hotels, and you’re talking about a kid who is 15, 16 years old, and he went and did a show 20,000 people, sold out, but right before he went into the show, he was having a little bit of an attitude.” (Bieber played Orlando on his My World Tour in August 2010.) “And he goes in the show, and he was fine, and he comes off, and I go, ‘What was that before the show?’ and he just broke down, and he said, ‘I can’t do it anymore. I can’t go outside. I can’t go anywhere … I feel like a spectacle all the time.’ And he was really struggling with it. You got to remember he didn’t want to be a star: I found him, and it happened.” Bieber and Braun had a major heart-to-heart as he struggled with his superstardom, but the teen did offer one suggestion on how he might be able to come to terms with how he was feeling. “So, we had a long talk about ‘Is this what you want?’ He sat there, got real quiet, he looked at me and goes, ‘I want to meet Kobe Bryant.’ “And I was like, ‘Kobe Bryant? We just had this emotional conversation.’ And he goes, ‘No, I just feel like no matter what Kobe does, he’ll always be chasing Michael Jordan’s ghost, and someone the other day told me I could grow up in front of the entire world like Michael [Jackson] did, and I just want to know how you handle always chasing someone’s ghost that you’ll just never going to be able to catch.’ It was actually a pretty profound moment.” Three weeks later, the encounter happened. Braun recalled, “They had a pretty intense conversation and something that I think Justin will never forget.” Related Videos ‘Bieber Live’ Related Photos The Evolution Of: Justin Bieber
Top DEA Michelle Leonhart Can’t Admit Marijuana Less Harmful Than Heroin Caught in a pickle, Michelle Leonhart, just can’t handle the truth: During a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on Wednesday, Drug Enforcement Administrator Michele Leonhart repeatedly refused to admit that anything was more addictive or harmful than marijuana. Democratic Rep. Jared Polis of Colorado pressed Leonhart on whether illegal drugs like methamphetamine and crack, as well as legal prescription drugs, caused greater harm to public health compared to marijuana. But within a three minute time-span, Leonhart dodged his questions eleven times. “Is crack worse for a person than marijuana?” Polis, who has called for an end the prohibition on marijuana, asked. “I believe all illegal drugs are bad,” Leonhart responded. “Is methamphetamine worse for somebody’s health than marijuana?” Polis continued. “Is heroin worse for somebody’s health than marijuana?” “Again, all drugs,” Leonhart began to say, only to be cut off by Polis. “Yes, no, or I don’t know?” Polis said. “If you don’t know this, you can look this up. As the chief administrator for the Drug Enforcement Agency, I’m asking a very straightforward question.” Leonhart said that heroin was highly addictive, but accused Polis of asking a “subjective” question. After being pressed further, she conceded that heroin was more addictive than marijuana, but added “some people become addicted marijuana and some people become addicted to methamphetamine.” Leonhart was nominated to be the Deputy Administrator of the DEA by then-President Bush in 2003 and confirmed by the Senate in 2004. She became the acting Administrator of the DEA after the former Administrator, Karen P. Tandy, resigned in 2007. Obama nominated Leonhart to the position in 2010. Police Tase 80-Year-Old Woman For Raising Cane But, wait…why didn’t she have on clothes??? Police in Dorchester County, S.C., used a Taser on a nude 80-year-old woman after she allegedly attempted to attack police with her walking stick. WCSC reports that when police answered a complaint of someone making loud noises in the area, they were met by an elderly woman wearing no clothes on her porch, reportedly hitting the steps of her porch with her cane. According to police, the woman, who spoke “confusingly,” began to swing her cane at the officers when police tried to take it away from the nude woman. As police continued to talk the woman out of swinging her cane at them, another officer used his Taser on the woman’s back. The woman was immediately transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment. When police investigated the area, they discovered that the woman, a former tenant, had broken three windows at the property after the owner attempted to give the deposit back to the woman. WCSC reports that no charges were filed against the woman despite the $250 worth of property damage. Source
The body of Dr. Timothy V. Jorden , the doctor accused of shooting and killing his 33-year-old ex-girlfriend and co-worker at the hospital that employed them both, was discovered Friday. A two-day nationwide manhunt for Jorden, a suspect in the Wednesday morning shooting death of a former girlfriend at Erie County Medical Center, ended Friday when he was found in a wooded ravine about 800 yards from his lakefront home, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Jorden’s body, in blue surgical scrubs and black jacket, was discovered by two female state parole officers in dense underbrush near a ravine along Eighteen Mile Creek. A .357 Magnum was found in Jorden’s right hand, Buffalo Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda said. Ballistics tests will determine if it’s the same gun he used to kill Jackie Wisniewski, his ex-girlfriend and the single mother of a young boy, he said. No suicide note was found. “Had the doctor been taken alive, he would have been charged with murder,” Derenda said. “He shot the victim in the head four times and once in the back at point-blank range.” Cellphone records and Erie County Medical Center surveillance video, the commissioner said, show Jorden on the phone talking for 17 minutes to Wisniewski, “luring her down to a basement stairwell where he shot her.” Another doctor heard the gunfire at about 8 a.m. Wednesday and rushed to the stairwell, where he found the 33-year-old woman. At the same time, the 49-year-old Jorden ran up to his office on the third floor of the David K. Miller Building and unloaded shells from the gun before fleeing to his vehicle and heading to his home. Other hospital surveillance video showed the doctor, earlier that morning, arriving with a large bag that police determined contained a shotgun, Derenda said. The shotgun was later recovered from the surgeon’s office. Surveillance video at the doctor’s house on West Arnold Drive beside Lake Erie also played a crucial role in assisting police. Jorden entered his $540,000 home at 8:37 a.m. and 4 minutes later went out a back door, headed south toward a heavily wooded area in the direction of the ravine. “We believed there was a strong possibility he had committed suicide,” Derenda said, but heavy brush, the ravine, cliffs and a low tree canopy all conspired to slow the search. A neighbor on Thursday told police out canvassing that she had heard a single gunshot between 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Wednesday — another sign that the doctor might have killed himself, Derenda said. But without a body to confirm a suicide, Buffalo Chief of Detectives Dennis J. Richards said detectives could not dismiss the possibility that Jorden was still alive and on the run, given the fact that he had withdrawn $36,000 from his bank account in the last two weeks. “We never gave up control of the doctor’s house as we worked on dual scenarios,” Richards said. FBI interviews The FBI conducted interviews nationwide and tracked the doctor’s cellphone and credit card records, while keeping an eye on airline passenger lists, according to Steven Lanser, assistant special agent in charge of the FBI’s Buffalo office. Meanwhile, the rugged terrain was mapped out, and law enforcement workers walked every inch of the area, with state police rappelling cliffs, K-9 dogs sniffing the grounds, and GPS units used to assist in guiding the search, according to State Police Capt. Steven A. Nigrelli. At 10:40 a.m. Friday, the meticulous approach paid off. Parole Officers Beth Hart and Paula Hughes found the doctor’s body. It was only then that authorities could stand down, State Police Maj. Christopher L. Cummings said. “Having an armed and dangerous individual on the loose is what causes police supervisors to have sleepless nights,” Cummings said. At a news conference early Friday evening in Buffalo Police Headquarters, Derenda said the satisfactory conclusion to the search would not have been possible without the cooperation of so many police agencies all willing to assist. Gifts for his brother In answering questions that arose over the last two days, Derenda said: Jorden took $20,000 of the $36,000 bank withdrawal and mailed a cashier’s check to his brother, Terrance, a dentist in Atlanta. On Tuesday evening, Jorden gave a Rolex watch and $5,500 to his close friend Martin L. Motley III, a Buffalo police officer on long-term disability. Surveillance video at the doctor’s home showed Motley arriving there at about 10 a.m. Wednesday. As Motley left the home at 11 a.m., Hamburg police officers took him into custody, Hamburg Police Chief Michael K. Williams said. Motley is not believed to have committed any criminal acts, Derenda said, though he remains suspended without pay for violating the police department sick leave confinement policy. Motley told city homicide detectives and FBI agents that Jorden gave him the watch and cash to pass along to his brother in Atlanta as gifts. The motive for the killing, Derenda said, “appears to be domestic in nature.” Friends say Wisniewski, a secretary in ECMC’s adolescent psychiatric unit, had confided to them that Jorden had been abusive and that he had threatened and stalked her in recent months. They said Wisniewski broke up with Jorden, a former Army Special Forces soldier, because he was cheating on her and she feared for her life. “Even while he was stalking the woman, he was dating other women, and it looks like it all came to a head,” a law enforcement official said, speaking on the condition he not be identified. This is all bad… SMH! That poor lady got cheated on and then stalked and then slaughtered. At least the neighbors can sleep at night now knowing dude is dead and isn’t going to kill anybody else. The door-knocking in California might be on hiatus for a little while… Judge Rules That Jehovah’s Witness Group Pay $20 Million To Sexually Abused Woman In what both sides described as a momentous ruling, a jury in Oakland, Calif., has found that Jehovah’s Witnesses was partly responsible for the alleged sexual abuse of a girl by one of its members and must pay her more than $20 million. The Alameda County Superior Court jury on Thursday awarded $21 million in punitive damages to the plaintiff, who is now 26 years old. That was on top of the $7 million in compensatory damages it awarded her on Wednesday. The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ legal entity, is responsible for the entire punitive damages amount and 40 percent of the compensatory damages, said Rick Simons, attorney for the plaintiff. Sixty percent of the compensatory damages was assessed against Jonathan Kendrick, the man accused of abusing her. Candace Conti sued Watchtower, the Fremont, Calif., congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and Kendrick in 2011. It’s msnbc.com’s policy not to identify victims of sexual abuse, but Conti agreed to be identified so that any other victims would feel they could come forward too. “The ultimate goal of the lawsuit was to have a change in policy, to be able to ID these people, child molesters, to the congregation to protect children,” Conti told msnbc.com. “Secondarily, to have silent ones come forward and tell their stories and to bring to light that overall issue of violence and the hush-hush policy.” Both her parents were Watchtower congregation members at the time of the abuse, she said. “I was trying to be the best Jehovah’s Witness I could be at that time,” she told msnbc.com. WTF?!? Is NOTHING sacred anymore?? Jim McCabe, attorney for the Fremont congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, said that he was “stunned” by the verdict and would appeal. “This is the first case I know of where a church has been hit with liability involving a rank-and-file member,” he told msnbc.com. “Mr. Simons has his twist on the facts and we will see how a court of appeals views the trial court rulings and the evidence,” McCabe said. The jury found that the elders who managed the Fremont congregation in the 1990s and who were under the supervision of Watchtower knew that Kendrick, a member, had recently been convicted of the sexual abuse of another child, but they kept his past record secret from the congregation, said Simons. Kendrick went on to molest the plaintiff, who was a Jehovah’s Witness member in Fremont, over a two-year period beginning when she was 9 years old, the lawsuit contended. Kendrick was eventually convicted in 2004 of the sexual abuse of another girl, and is now a registered sex offender in California, Simons said. He has not been criminally charged with abusing the plaintiff, but Simons said the case is under investigation by law enforcement. We’re glad that this young woman got SOME restitution for the suffering she has endured for so many years. Hopefully when criminal charges are filed this Jonathan Kendrick will find himself in a tight cell with a wide…well, you get the picture. Image via Shutterstock Source
