There are lots of con artists in the world, but it’s possible that none are as deplorable as those who claim they can commune with the dead. BS-ing their way into the hearts and wallets of those who have lost loved ones, “mediums,” as many of them like to be called, are pretty awful. Using grief and our fear of what lies beyond to line their pockets and astonish the gullible, one wonders how they sleep at night. But they do, and they do quite well for themselves in fact. Dead celebrities in particular are a common target for these new age vultures. Pretending to chat with famous figures who have passed on allows them to swindle large segments of the population with a single lie. As a bonus, the friends and family of the dead celeb are unlikely to come forward and dismiss the psychic’s claims as hogwash. Doing so just draws more attention to the con, after all. Which brings us to this instance. As you may have heard, this month marks the 20th anniversary of the death of Princess Diana . Not surprisingly, tributes and think pieces about the beloved royal and former wife of Prince Charles are everywhere these days. Unfortunately, the lowlifes of the world very much want a piece of the grief pie, and they know how to get after it in a hurry. Case in point: Simone Simmons, a London-based alternative “energy healer” who claims she was Lady Di’s most trusted confidant in her final years. She claims that she continues to commune with Diana’s spirit on a regular basis, and for some reason, people are taking her seriously. “We talked about everything and anything,” Simmons told The Daily Mail, which somehow gave this woman a platform from which to spew nonsense. She adds: “It’s very strange how I can still hear her.” “It’s very weird. I hear her voice speaking to me about world events, and being desperately in love with her grandchildren.” Yeah, next time someone tries to tell you that UK media outlets are any less dumb than American ones, remind them of this: A popular British newspaper published an interview with a woman who claims the ghost of Princess Di regularly drops by her house to dish about the latest headlines. Just pointing that out as a reminder. Anyway, Simmons claims Di’s favorite topic of conversation is her sons … and their love lives. She says Diana “loves” and “adores” Kate Middleton, but is convinced that Meghan Markle isn’t right for Prince Harry. Harry and Meghan are in Africa at the moment, and many believe the American actress will return home with a ring on her finger. The Ghost of Di is hoping it won’t play out like that, as she feels Harry already found, dated, and dumped the right girl. “It was a while ago when she did say who the right person was and Harry would know it when it happened,” Apparently, Di isn’t using all that free time in the spectral void to watch reruns of Suits . Maybe they don’t get the USA network in the afterlife. Simmons says Diana told her from the great beyond that Harry needs someone “totally dependable, because he’s extremely sensitive.” And it seems she doesn’t think Meghan is that person. Simmons is keeping mum (no pun intended) on who Di thinks Harry should’ve ended up with, because obviously she wouldn’t want to betray the confidence of the ghost princess who comes to her in the night. That would be crazy. She does reveal that the relationship “didn’t work out, maybe because she couldn’t take the pressure in the end.” The comment has led many to the conclusion that Simmons is referring to either Chelsy Davy or Cressida Bonas, two of Harry’s most high-profile exes. Unfortunately, we’ll never know for sure unless the late Princess Di pens a tell-all. It would be easy, really, as long as she hires a good … ghost writer. We’ll show ourselves out. At this point, it’s probably literally impossible to not love Kesha, right? From the amazing strength she’s shown throughout her recent legal battles to her sincerely wonderful new music , what’s not to love? She’s just such an inspiration for so many reasons, and it’s so good that so many people are realizing it. And if you find yourself to be doubting her greatness — or even if you’re well aware of her greatness and would just like to revel in it — you need to check out this letter she wrote to her 18-year-old self. These days, Kesha is 30 years old, and we know she’s done a whole lot of living in the past 12 years. But the letter … hold on tight, because it will almost surely tear you up. “Dear Kesha,” she began the letter, which she read on yesterday’s episode of CBS This Morning. “At this very moment you may be wondering whether it was really a good idea to drop out of high school. I moved to L.A. with nothing but your grandpa’s Lincoln Town Car and a demo tape.” “I’ve got good news and I’ve got bad news, and I know you’re a tad impatient, so I’ll start with the good news: you made it!”, she continued. “And thank god because the best plan B we ever came up with was waitressing, and as you will soon find out, that was not really our forte.” But the bad news, she explained, “is you nearly killed yourself on the road to success, fueled by fear of failure, crippling anxiety, and insecurity.” “You will become severely bulimic and anorexic — and the worse your disease gets the more praise you will get from some people in your industry, and this will really, really mess with your head.” “But,” she added, “when you are trying to live up to an unrealistic expectation, it’s never gonna be good enough no matter what you do.” From there, present-day Kesha gave some advice to her younger self — solid little tips like “don’t read comments on the internet.” “Don’t let people scare and shame you into changing the things about yourself that make you unique and interesting,” she wrote. “Those are the qualities that will make your life so magical.” “That bad girl, ‘I don’t give a sh-t’ attitude, that’ll work for a while and you will get a dollar sign tattooed on yourself that will last forever, probably.” “But the truth is, you don’t need to put on an act. You can just be Kesha Rose Sebert. And guess what? Apparently that’s good enough.” It’s enough to bring a tear to your eye, isn’t it? “You must be strong because over time you will gain confidence and people will learn that words and art do matter,” Kesha continued. She told little Kesha that she’d grow up to write a song called “Rainbow,” and “you’re gonna be really proud of it because there is light and beauty after the storm no matter how hard things get .” “You’re gonna write this song to remember to make it through and you’re gonna remind yourself to love yourself and if you have truth in your heart there will always be a rainbow at the end of the storm,” she finished. Teen Mom 2 newcomer Briana DeJesus has taken to Snapchat to put the men (term used loosely) who fathered her daughters on blast. Never one to hold back with her emotions, as you know if you watch Teen Mom 2 online , Bri is really letting these two have it this time. Those familiar with Briana from her 16 & Pregnant heyday know she gave birth to a daughter, Nova, with her ex-boyfriend Devoin Austin. Devoin, to put it mildly, has not proven himself to be an upstanding individual over the years … and it appears history is repeating itself. Briana recently joined the Teen Mom 2 cast and her storyline thus far in 2017 has involved her breakup with Luis Miguel … while pregnant. DeJesus considered adoption for her second child, because she was so disappointed about going through the same sad pattern again. Ultimately, she did not; Stella (below, with big sister Nova) was born and Briana is over the moon about having two daughters at home. But that doesn’t mean she’s cool with their dads. At all. This week, Briana took to social media to call out fans who have been relaying DeJesus’ thoughts on the kids’ dads to the dads online. The 23-year-old pointedly told her fan base that she’s in charge of the situation, saving her harshest words for the two fathers personally. “Don’t take photos of MY kids and put them on social media or send them in group chats to your friends and like you a dad,” she said. “You is a deadbeat my guy [sic],” she posted. She then told her fans to cool it with this directive: “And stop screenshotting my tweets and rants and sending them to my baby daddies.” “They [are] fully aware they [are] deadbeats and know how I feel,” said Briana, who has never been shy about calling it like she sees it. Just last month, Briana put Luis on BLAST for claiming that he made money for appearing on Teen Mom 2 (as he did earlier this summer). At the same time he was getting paid for this, DeJesus said, he was failing to pay child support for the little girl he has no interest in. Before her much-publicized return to MTV, she spoke candidly that she didn’t know quite what to expect from her relationship with Luis. It only went downhill from there, it appears. Luis was apparently dating another woman while they were together, and as we saw from the show, his excuses for this didn’t cut it. It’s all very sad, because (unlike Kailyn Lowry and Chris Lopez, for example) they were very close once, and even talked about marriage. Early this season, she was still optimistic. “We’ve just been trying to figure it out for the sake of this baby,” she told MTV producers (who are a part of the show, on and off camera). “He’s a lot older than me, he’s 31. We wanna move in together, hopefully I would like to get married, all this grownup stuff.” Yeah. So much for that pipe dream. All we can say for certain is this: 1. Use protection, kids, honestly; 2. If you’re going to ditch out on your baby mama, guys, you may want to take a hard look at your life. Snapchat shade-throwing is the least of your problems.
