Deal Settles Suit Over Reality Show “Iyanla: Fix My Life” Oprah has reached a settlement with the woman who accused her of stealing her show idea and turning it into the hit OWN show. The media mogul and her accuser reached a deal last week to have all claims against her and her network dismissed and the terms of the agreement will be sealed. Back in October, a Mississippi woman named Otisa C. Strickland sued Oprah, accusing her of stealing her show idea named “The Agency.” Strickland claimed Oprah used her proposed idea and created “Iyanla: Fix My Life,” which she said was a “carbon copy” of hers. The woman said in court documents that the two shows were virtually identical and both involved a counselor that travel across the country to people’s homes to counsel them about their life problems. Strickland said Oprah had access to her show idea because she accused the TV host of stealing another show back in 2011. Strickland said the OWN show, “In the Bedroom with Dr. Laura Berman” was a rip off of her show idea “Conflict Solutions.” The woman believed that battle put her on Oprah’s radar and allowed her to steal her idea entitled “The Agency.” “Iyanla” has been on OWN for over six seasons and has been a consistent hit for the network. Strickland’s suit demanded unspecified damages from Oprah and her network. The media mogul had yet to respond to the allegations in the complaint. Then on December 16th, a judgment of dismissal was entered in the case, stating Oprah and Strickland reached a compromise and settlement of all pending claims. Under their agreement, the case will be dismissed and all claims against Oprah and her network will be thrown out. The terms of the settlement will remain confidential.

SMFH… Yasmin Seweid Blasted For Faking Subway Attack By Trump Supporters A New York college student is getting blasted after authorities say she lied about being attacked by Trump supporters. Yasmin Seweid, 18, of Baruch College alleged that three white people attacked her and tried to rip off her hijab. Shortly thereafter she mysteriously went missing and later confessed that the entire story was a farce. Instead, she’d broken her parent’s curfew and was trying to hide her American boyfriend from them. Girl….. The New York Daily News reports: A Muslim student who said she was harassed on the subway by drunken, hate-spewing white men shouting “Donald Trump!” lied to police because she broke her curfew, law enforcement sources said Wednesday. Yasmin Seweid, 18, joined a growing list of local and national alleged hate-crime victims when she told cops she was taunted Dec. 1 on the No. 6 train by three men who called her a terrorist and tried to snatch her hijab off her head while straphangers did nothing. But Seweid finally broke down Wednesday and was arrested after she admitted to detectives that it was all a big lie. Police sources say Seweid made up the story because she didn’t want to get in trouble for breaking her curfew after being out late drinking with friends. Her strict, Muslim parents allegedly forced Seweid to shave her head over the incident and were upset that she was dating a Christian, sources said. The bareheaded Baruch College student, not wearing her hijab, was charged with filing a false report and released after her arraignment early Thursday in Manhattan Criminal Court. She faces up to a year in jail for each charge. Now is NOT the time for these jokes little girl. SMH…

Video of Joe Mixon Hitting Woman Released A 2014 video of Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon assaulting a woman in a restaurant was released Friday after an Oklahoma Supreme Court ruling. Earlier this month, the court ruled that the surveillance footage of Mixon punching fellow OU student Amelia Molitor after an argument was public record. The woman suffered several facial fractures as a result of the punch. She sued Mixon in civil court in July for negligence, willful and wanton misconduct and intention to inflict emotional distress. The first two claims were dismissed by a federal judge, however. Mixon issued a formal apology last month but also suggested that racial slurs were hurled at him, which he says initiated the incident.

We hope you are sitting down for this, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta viewers. Because Kirk Frost may have gone ahead and really done it now. According to multiple reports, Kirk hasn’t just been caught cheating on his wife. He’s been caught cheating on his wife AND getting his alleged side piece pregnant! With a baby! Who has already been born! Media Takeout claims to have broken this news, writing on December 13 that Frost “had a baby with another woman.” It doesn’t get much more straightforward than that, does it? The gender of this child is unknown at the moment, but he or she is around four months old. Now, here is where things get both questionable and dramatic: Both Media Takeout and some website called “Funky Dineva” write that VH1 cameras were on hand when Rasheeda – who is married to Frost and who appears opposite her husband on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta – learned of the baby news. And, as you might expect, she didn’t take it very well. Rasheeda supposedly flipped the eff out upon hearing that Frost had slept with some random woman and gotten her pregnant… … and this reaction just happened to have been filmed for an episode of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta Season 6. But that’s not all: Frost’s side chick will allegedly appear on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta Season 6! Now, look: would we love to watch Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta online next year and see this crazy drama play out? Absolutely. Heck, who are we kidding: we almost definitely will watch Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta online next year to see this crazy drama play out. But our intelligence is a tad bit insulted here. Can’t reality shows at least make an effort to pretend as though storylines are real? Back on Season 2, Frost hooked up with two women in a hot tub… ON CAMERA! He was accused last year of having apartment that he claimed to be use as an “office,” only it was an open secret that he really took other women there. So we’re not sure if we believe this baby mama rumor. Even if it holds true, however, how much sympathy are we really expected to have for Rasheeda? She has to be aware that her husband has both a wandering eye and a wandering penis? RIght? For what it’s worth, neither she nor Frost have addressed this latest chatter on social media. With talk of them being fired after each Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta season airs, however, it seems very possible that this is simply a conjured-up story to keep the couple relevant. And employed.

Olivia Wilde is a big fan of breastfeeding. The actress is a mother of two young children and has been one of Hollywood’s more outspoken advocates of providing sustenance to your kids via your boobs. She recently referred to her new daughter Daisy as a drinking buddy , which made us laugh. So Wilde knows a lot about this important act. And she took to Instagram this week in order to pose a few questions about a breastpump ad that continues to follow her around the Internet. Wilde shared a screen shot of the ad (below) and wrote a lengthy caption that reads as follows: “Real quick just wanna take a break from online (lazy-person) x mas shopping to call bullshit on this ad for a breast-pump bra cuz this lady definitely did not recently birth a child who requires breastmilk to be pumped.” But Wilde made a point to emphasize that she was NOT blaming the woman in the ad herself for said “bullshit.” If anything, Wilde has sympathy for this model. “Want to give a quick cyber hug to this model who had to pretend to have recently birthed a milk-fed baby-child when she clearly has spent the last year lifting tiny weights and meditating,” Wilde added. HA! We love it. Wilde’s post was Liked over 20,000 times in just 12 hours because so many women out there can relate to the points she was making.
