Reportedly, NeNe Leakes filed for divorce in Forsyth County on April 29, 2010, during Season 3 of “Real Housewives of Atlanta”, and finalized the divorce September 29, 2011, after Season 4 had wrapped. Sources say, she was likely keeping quiet about her divorce to keep up the chatter about her personal life. For Real This Time: NeNe Leakes Is A Single Lady After OFFICALLY Divorcing Hubby Greg Leakes While Telling Fans They Were Still Together
Best Buy CEO Quits After Investigation More bad news for Best Buy: Best Buy CEO Brian Dunn abruptly quit his job after the board of directors allegedly began investigating him for having an inappropriate relationship with a female employee. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune, citing unnamed sources, reported that Best Buy was examining whether Dunn used company resources to help carry out that relationship. The nation’s largest electronics retailer wouldn’t confirm the report, but would not deny it, either. The newspaper could not reach Dunn, 50, for comment. Dunn, who is married with three sons, started at Best Buy in 1985 selling VCRs and worked his way up the management chain before being appointed CEO in 2009. ‘Certain issues were brought to the board’s attention regarding Dunn’s personal conduct, unrelated to the company’s operations or financial controls, and an audit committee investigation was initiated,’ according to a company statement issued late Tuesday. ‘Prior to the completion of the investigation, Mr. Dunn chose to resign.’ Dunn, a Best Buy veteran who had been CEO since 2009, couldn’t be reached for comment Tuesday and Best Buy did not comment further on the circumstances of the probe. The chief executive earned more than $10.2 million last year. He is married with three sons. Earlier on Tuesday, the company said that Dunn’s departure was a mutual decision and that it was time for new leadership given the challenges the company faces. Tuesday, on Glee , Matt Bomer’s guest appearance as the older brother of Darren Criss’ character featured a scene in which the two duet on the catchy track. While it was something of an odd choice to have brothers singing this song, as its lyrics imply a breakup between a couple, the guys absolutely killed. Ann Romney, the wife of likely Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and mother of five sons, is fighting a criticism that she “never worked a day in her life.” “I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys,” she wrote on Twitter, prompted by a Democratic strategist’s challenge of her knowledge about the economy. “Believe me,” Ann Romney wrote. “It was hard work.” Ann Romney Interview Hillary Rosen, a Democratic strategist, started the exchange during an interview on CNN yesterday in which she said of GOP front-running candidate Romney: “Guess what, his wife has actually never worked a day in her life. She’s never dealt with the economic issues that a majority of women in U.S. are facing.” President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign swiftly distanced itself from Rosen, but the incident underscores issues critical to both sides in the campaign. Polls show Obama favored over Romney by about a 20-percent margin among women, a gap posing a major electoral hurdle to Romney’s hopes of victory. Ann Romney also told Fox News, “My career choice was to be a mother. Other women make other choices. We have to respect women in all their choices.” She also disputed the notion that she doesn’t understand the economy. “Guess what women are taking about these days,” she said. “I don’t care if they’re stay-at-home mothers, working mothers or grandmothers. They are talking about jobs and a legacy of debt that we are leaving our children.” Mitt Romney, seen above with Ann and supporter Donald Trump, all but wrapped up the Republican race with Rick Santorum dropping out this week. George Zimmerman To Appear In Court To Face 2nd Degree Murder Charges George Zimmerman will be hauled into court to face second-degree murder charges Thursday — arrested 45 days after he killed Trayvon Martin and walked free. The charges against Zimmerman show prosecutors didn’t buy his claims of self-defense. Instead, they believe he intended to kill Trayvon. The Florida cops’ refusal to arrest Zimmerman when he killed the unarmed black teenager on Feb. 26 sparked a national civil rights crusade and a series of rallies, marches and petitions. “It is the search for justice for Trayvon that has brought us here,” special prosecutor Angela Corey told a packed news conference in Jacksonville, Fla. “We did not come to this decision lightly. We do not prosecute by public pressure, nor by petition.” Zimmerman surrendered at the state police office in Jacksonville. He will plead not guilty at his initial appearance Thursday, his lawyer said. Prosecutors are charging Zimmerman with second-degree murder, which carries a maximum sentence of life without parole. Legal experts had expected the lesser charge of manslaughter — an unintentional killing — especially in light of police officials’ insistence that Zimmerman should face no punishment at all. Legal experts said Corey’s decision to hit Zimmerman with murder charges could give prosecutors — or a jury — leeway. “By charging second-degree murder she gives herself flexibility in plea negotiations to come down to manslaughter – and gives the jury options to consider if the case results in a trial,” said David Weinstein, a criminal lawyer based in Miami. On Tuesday, Zimmerman’s two former attorneys held an extraordinary news conference to announce they were quitting because they had had no contact with Zimmerman since Sunday. Sharpton hailed the arrest of Zimmerman, but cautioned against celebration. “We do not want anyone high-fiving tonight. Do the right thing Twist! Twista , his record labels, and promoters are all being sued for the death of a bodyguard, Arthur “Butch” Nixon, who passed away following a tour bus crash in 2004. His family recently filed the suit that claims Twista’s cousin, Otis Bankhead, should not have been allowed to drive the bus: The family of a bodyguard who was killed in a 2004 tour bus crash is suing Chicago-based rapper Twista and his management companies. Arthur “Butch” Dixon, 45, died of multiple blunt force trauma injuries in a rollover crash in Pennsylvania after the driver, Twista’s cousin, Otis Bankhead, fell asleep at the wheel as Twista and his entourage returned to Chicago from a concert in New York. Dixon, an accomplished jazz pianist and son of legendary bluesman Willie Dixon, and all the other passengers were thrown from the customized van. The lawsuit states Bankhead had a history of driving violations and his license was suspended at the time of the crash. The lawsuit mirrors one filed just two years after the crash, which lawyers for Dixon’s wife and three children dropped last year. The suit claims Twista, whose real name is Carl Mitchell, as well as his record label and promoters should have barred Bankhead from driving.
