Hampton University Marching Band To Perform In Rome

H ampton University’s marching band will be taking their talents to Rome in 2020. According to Wavy News , the band has been enlisted to perform in the Rome New Year’s Parade; making the school the first historically Black college or university to do so. The event is a cumulative celebration of the World Day of Peace and the Pope’s blessing for the New Year. The band will also have the opportunity to perform for local communities during their time in Italy. “This wonderful opportunity will put Hampton University on an international spotlight and bring some attention to what we’re doing with the band at Hampton. Over the last year, we have been focusing on recruiting talented musicians, dancers, color guard and majorettes. Our mission is not just to build better band students, but to shape and mold students so that they are academically proficient and have high moral character,” band director Dr. Thomas Jones said in a statement released by the university. “This trip validates what we’re doing. The strength of the program is growing. Traveling is a great incentive for new and current students and we are really looking forward to this exciting journey.” Hampton University President Dr. William R. Harvey echoed his sentiments, adding that the band continues to “uphold the standard of excellence as being one of the best marching bands in the nation.” News about the band performing in Italy comes on the heels of their performance in the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California. The HBCU has had a few firsts over the past few months. In November, Hampton University made history by becoming the first historically Black college and university to add a women’s varsity triathlon team to their list of sports programs. Teresa Giudice may simply be celebrating a milestone birthday in the photos below. Or she may be sending a pretty serious message to Instagram followers. The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member is estranged from husband Joe, but for a very good reason: He's serving time in jail for bankruptcy fraud and then may very well be deported back to Italy upon his release . We've heard at times that Teresa therefore wants to get out of her marriage — and at other times that she'll always stick by her man's side. What should we believe? Perhaps our eyes, especially after checking out the images below. Let's see what we mean… 1. Celebrating Gia Teresa Giudice is celebrating her daughter’s 18th birthday in this photo. What a precious snapshot. 2. HOWEVER… These Instagram photos become less precious and more suspicious when you check out the star’s ring finger. It’s rather barren, isn’t it? 3. What Does This Mean? The Real Housewives of New Jersey Recap: Margaret Calls Jennifer’s Sister-in-Law a ‘Mail-Order’ Bride

It was the end of the line for Danielle Staub on Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.  Margaret Josephs who has long advocated for Danielle to be part of the group decided enough was enough, and that their friendship was at breaking point.  Instead of getting into another altercation, Margaret opted to send a text to end her friendship with the former series regular, effectively cutting her out of the action.  “She’s wacko,” Margaret complained to her co-stars, before going on to reveal how the text exchange played out, and it was as ugly as you would expect.  “I wish you a happy life. Never speak to me again,” Margaret said to Melissa Gorga and show newcomer Jackie Goldschneider as she skimmed her phone for the damning messages.  “I can’t believe you’re this person, shame on you,” Danielle fired back before going on to wish Margaret a happy mother’s day.  While that final act sounds like Danielle’s way of being nice, it was not. If you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online , you know that Margaret hasn’t had the best relationship with her kids.  She has been vocal about the breakdown of her previous marriage leading to a decline in communication between her and her ex-husband’s children.  It was a typical Danielle move, but at least Margaret was wise enough to let the snake down gently by SMS.  Hell, Danielle was out for blood on last week’s installment when the two Joe’s got talking about her intentions with her then-husband.  “I didn’t answer. We’re done. We’re never having this fight again,” Margaret said to the women after spilling the beans.  “Denial is a real thing, and she f***ing is Cleopatra,” she said with a smirk.  As for the other relationship that was on the rocks, that was Teresa Giudice and Jackie Goldschneider.  Giudice was ready for a war of words. That’s what happens when you bring her family into your petty squabbles, Jackie.  “I’m definitely not intimidated by Teresa. I just hope it’s not another scream-fest,” Jackie fretted before a one-on-one meeting with her nemesis.  “What you did to me is not excusable,” said Jackie of their previous bust-up, adding: “I don’t get spoken to like that; I’m a grown woman, I have a lot of self-respect … I was like, ‘What the f***?'” “Listen, you came at me first,” Teresa shot back.  But Jackie went on to imply that she and Teresa had something in common. Her father was in jail, and her mother was under house arrest.  “We used to laugh about it,” Jackie said, clearly trying to make light of the situation.  “I’m living it right now,” Teresa said. “My kids live with it every day. And it really hurts them that their father is not here.” “I did not mean to hurt you, and for that I am sorry,” Jackie ultimately said, with Teresa accepting.  “Believe me, I’ve gotten more Namaste – I used to be a little bit crazier. So that was calm for me when I’m p***ed,” Teresa said to close off the argument.  While Margaret was washing her hands of Danielle, she didn’t realize she was gearing up for another big fight.  Teresa later told the ladies that Jennifer Aydin’s brother and his soon-to-be wife “knew each other for two weeks and now they’re getting engaged.” “Ok, that’s a little crazy,” Margaret said laughing. Teresa said it’s part of the culture and that “they don’t sleep with each other and you get to know them when you marry them,'” “What happens if he was a dud? That’s a life of torture,” continued Margaret, adding: “Oh come on, he met her in Turkey? She could be mail order.” SHOT. FIRED.  Teresa told Jennifer all about it and the latter said to Margaret: “I can’t relate to people who have affairs with married people.” This is the season of the feud, and we’re living for it! Source: John Lamparski / Getty An arrest warrant has been issued for R. Kelly’s former manager, James Mason. Mason is accused of threatening to kill the father of Joycelyn Savage, one of the women featured in “Surviving R. Kelly.” According to CNN , the warrant was issued over the summer. When CNN called Mason Wednesday, he said he had “no comment” and referred additional questions to his attorney. In an incident report obtained by the network, Timothy Savage stated that Mason said, “I’m gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I’m gonna get you, I’m going to f***ing kill you.” The case was presented to a Magistrate Judge who issued a warrant in July, citing “terroristic threats and acts.” The warrant is assigned to the sheriff’s office. Joycelyn Savage’s family has claimed she is having a sexual relationship with Kelly, and that she is being manipulated by him into cutting off contact with the outside world. Her father says they haven’t heard from her in about two years. She responded to this claim in a video released in 2017 on TMZ, in which she denied she’s being held and that she had been brainwashed by the Grammy-award winning singer. “I just want everybody to know — my parents and everybody in the world — that I’m totally fine. Despite being accused of sexual assault himself, Gibbs thinks it’s time for slimy men to straighten up their acts! Back in June 2016 Gibbs was arrested and charged with the rape in Australia and months later he was found innocent. The rapper dodged a potential 10-year stint in the bing after the 17-year-old accuser came forward. 90 Day Fiance stars Eric Rosenbrook and Leida Margaretha quit the series after receiving some harrowing death threats. Fans are convinced that Leida is a bad person, and some took their outrage at her actions way too far. Now, a report says that Leida’s whole goal in the first place was to become a reality star. Did she bite off more than she can chew? A Soapdirt article has been circulating recently that claimed that Eric Rosenbrook secured Leida Margaretha’s engagement on one condition: The two of them had to become reality stars on 90 Day Fiance . Or, at the very least, they had to apply. Eric shot down this rumor speaking to various 90 Day Fiance fanblogs, and then took to his own Instagram stories to clear things up. “It’s not true,” Eric stated on Instagram. “In the least.” “We were engaged,” he affirmed. “And the K1 petition was filed long before we even knew about 90 Day Fiance .” Of course, some fans believe that Leida’s ulterior motive is very clear. It’s just that becoming a reality star was not her goal from the start. Leida has shared that she intends to further her alleged medical career here in the United States. She has told fans and followers alike that she is studying for her US Medical License Exam. However, some internet sleuths have cast doubt upon this claim — because the timeline doesn’t match up. Indonesian medical school lasts for six years, but Leida’s social media information says that she was in medical school from 2008 to 2012. Is she even a real doctor? Some fans suspect that she is not. There are rumors circulating about Leida that are far worse than lying about being a doctor. Leida’s ex’s wife took to social media to claim that Leida once tried to give away her 5-year-old son. “She asked my husband, her ex f–kboy to adopt her son,” the woman claimed. “Apparently,” she continued. “She asked my husband for not only him to adopt Aless, but us both.” Leida’s alleged motive was the hope that she could become “child-free.” We hope that we do not have to explain why this horrifying rumor is dubious at best. There is zero proof that it is true and, presumably, the woman has every motive to disparage Leida. There are plenty of real, verifiable reasons for people to dislike Leida if that is their aim. Leida herself has openly acknowledged that she was unkind to Eric and especially unkind to his children. She drove Eric’s 19-year-old daughter, Tasha, from her own apartment. Leida then chastised Eric on camera for paying child support to his ex for their youngest daughter. Fans did not take that well, and Leida has abased herself before 90 Day Fiance viewers. Hating some reality stars is part of the experience, but some fans took things too far with Leida. These viewers made death threats against Leida and Eric for their behavior on the show. Worst of all, some of these hateful messages even threatened the safety of Leida’s 5-year-old son, Alessandro. While we hope that no one making these threats was seriously contemplating any of this, that is … never acceptable. Duggar Women: Are They Working as Midwives … Without Licenses?!

For the most part, Duggar women are very strongly encouraged to eschew careers in favor of devoting their adult years to child-rearing. There is, however, a short list of money-making endeavors that they’re permitted to pursue. At the top of the list is midwife work, which is one of the few professional avenues open to Duggar women. (The other one is flipping cars or otherwise assisting in one of Jim Bob’s many business ventures, but this is only permissible until such time as the woman finds a suitable sperm donor.) So Jill Duggar has continued working as a midwife even after tying the knot with Derick Dillard. Insiders say Jana Duggar recently followed in her sisters’ footsteps and is now delivering babies in and around her native Tontitown, Arkansas. And like Jill, it seems that Jana has yet to obtain the proper licensure. The Duggars have long taken a rather libertarian approach to state and local ordinances. For example, Jim Bob has pissed off his neighbors numerous times by basically ignoring zoning regulations. Of course, delivering babies is a pretty high stakes procedure, so the Duggars’ neighbors are a bit less forgiving of the alleged gaps in Jill and Jana’s training. To be fair, no one is claiming that the women didn’t receive any kind of training at all. It’s just that it appears they went through the sort of un-regulated faith-based program that the Duggars prefer for, well … everything. “This is hands-on apprenticeship style,” Jill once said in reference to her training. “So we are really getting in there and getting to experience what the midwifery and doula roles look like, hands-on.” Jill defenders have frequently pointed to the above photo, which does show Jill proudly displaying a certificate to work as a midwife. But the photo doesn’t tell the whole story. Jill is holding a Certified Professional Midwife’s competency license, which is very different from a Certified Nurse Midwife license, generally considered the standard in her field. So she and Jana might be able to work as midwife’s assistants, but they’re not qualified to perform such work on their own. The situation has attracted a considerable amount of controversy in recent weeks for a number of reasons: 1. Jill’s midwifing mentor, Vanessa Giron, is currently being sued by a mom who claims she nearly died during her deliver. (Sources say Jill was on hand for the delivery.) On top of that, it’s now rumored that several other Duggar daughters are beginning careers as midwives. If only all trans looked like this….I’d be more into trans as a concept, instead of just seeing it for the weird mental disorder that it is, and not really respecting it as a movement because I don’t like pandering to anyone who whines about being accepted or included….but at the same time, I don’t judge men who dress as women and compete in Women’s sports as a trans, I think that’s hilarious and a good strategy to get sponsor deals and fame….I also know trans people, who know they are mentally fucked up, and don’t expect me to think Trans is a movement or a thing beyond men dressing like women and wanting to be called women….it’s the non trans people that are more annoying about trans rights than anything….. Point being, Karrueche Tran was Chris Brown’s girl after he beat the fuck out of Rihanna, because rich guys, famous guys can do no wrong and will always find a hot bitch who wants to associate no matter how fucking crazy or weird they are.
