Alec Baldwin Admits to "Bullying" Women, Engaging In "Sexist" Behavior

Over the past several weeks, a number of Hollywood’s most powerful men have been exposed as serial sexual predators. The string of scandals began with accusations against Harvey Weinstein that would eventually bring an end to one of the industry’s most esteemed film studios. In the month that followed, allegations against Kevin Spacey , Jeremy Piven, Brett Ratner, Ben Affleck and many more pulled back the curtain on a culture of abuse and misogyny in the movie industry. Most of the accused have feigned shock or issued timid confessions in the wake of being called out for their behavior. Now, actor Alec Baldwin–himself no stranger to allegations of abusive behavior–is attempting to change how Hollywood addresses its ongoing misogyny issues by admitting to mistreating women before he becomes the subject of another scandal. “I certainly have treated women in a very sexist way. I’ve bullied women. I’ve overlooked women. I’ve underestimated women,” Baldwin told Tonight Show announcer Steve Higgins at a Paley Center event on Thursday night. “Not as a rule, [but] from time to time, I’ve done what a lot of men do, which is … when you don’t treat women the same way you treat men.” Baldwin added: “I’m from a generation where you really don’t, and I’d like that to change. I really would like that to change.” Though he’s taken some flak for attributing his behavior to his age, Baldwin has mostly been applauded for his comments. “I think it’s important for us to try to make the workplace and beyond not only comfortable and right and fair and appropriate, but as productive as well,” he explained. “A lot of what we’re dealing with within this issue is hurting our business. It’s making it less productive.” A father of four, Baldwin was widely castigated for an abusive voicemail he left for daughter Ireland in 2007 when she was just 11 years old. Asked if he was aware of abusive behavior from  “I knew of certain things, that there were rumors of things happening to people, but I didn’t necessarily know the scope, when you hear the hundreds and hundreds of women who are complaining about this… It’s been a very eye-opening experience for me personally,” Baldwin said last night. “We’ve got to be vigilant in a new way to make sure that everybody is comfortable and that we get the job done together that we’re there to do.” Baldwin did not go into detail about the more shameful behavior of his past, but says that going forward, he will be more conscientious in his interactions with female colleagues.

Ladies are our Queens of the Earth….. This is not about Men vs Women…. Tyrese took to IG after his Facebook video breakdown went viral, to let his fans know that he is okay and still rocking his Shayla hoodie and chucks and smoking Cohibas…because somehow these things are all related to him. Per usual, the primary focus of Tyrese’s rant isn’t all that clear, but it looks like he’s pulled himself back together — at least for the moment. Instagram/Splash

Joy-Anna Duggar & Austin Forsyth: Are They Living With Her Parents?!

It’s been five months since Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth got married , and the despite their youth, the couple has wasted no time in taking on all the responsibilities of adult life. At 19, Joy-Anna is currently pregnant with her first child, and while she has yet to reveal any solid information about her due date, some fans believe she’ll be welcoming a little bundle of joy before the year is out. (If you crunch the numbers on that prediction, you’ll see why the rumors about Joy-Anna’s “shotgun wedding” have gained so much traction on social media.) The official explanation is that Joy-Anna got pregnant on her honeymoon and learned she was knocked up shortly after she returned home. Speaking of “home,” fans have recently taken an interest in the question of where exactly Joy-Anna and Austin are laying their heads these days. If you’re a fan of Counting On , then you may remember that Austin flips houses for a living and has eagerly spoken of his desire to find the perfect home for his new family. (In one of the series’ most random scenes, Austin was advised by his father to hold off on proposing to Joy until he’d flipped his fifth home because … that’s what Jesus would’ve done? We’re still not quite clear on the reasoning.) Forsyth eventually decided that the perfect home didn’t exist–and thus, it was up to him to build it. Yes, depending on who you ask, Austin and Joy-Anna’s dream home is either under construction or soon to be under construction. Whatever the case, it’s a long way from being completed. So where are Austin and Joy-Anna residing in the meantime? Well, the most popular theory amongst fans seems to be that they’re living with her parents and several of her siblings at the storied Duggar compound. What’s the big deal? you may be asking. She’s freakin’ 19 years old! The average Millennial lives with his parents until he’d 47, and that’s an absolute fact I just made up! Here’s the thing, short-tempered hypothetical reader–we absolutely agree with you. We firmly believe there’s nothing wrong with a 19-year-old living at home for a while. But by all accounts, the Duggars don’t share that belief–at least not in cases where said 19-year-old has already been married off. The Duggars are almost as big on self-reliance and refusal of handouts as they are on the Bible and procreation. Yes, it’s extremely ironic, considering they’ve famously begged for money from fans on numerous occasions, but the Duggars pride themselves on long hours and rugged individualism. Which is probably why Joy-Anna’s continued residence at casa de Duggar is being treated like the family’s biggest secret. Well, maybe like its fourth or fifth biggest secret. Justin Bieber: All About "Following Jesus" These Days

Justin Bieber spent time with Selena Gomez this week, fueling speculation that he and his famous ex-girlfriend are back together. This doesn’t seem to be the case, however. Partly because Selena is in a committed relationship with The Weeknd; partly because we can’t imagine she would take Justin back after the way he treated her; and partly because Bieber is also in a committed relationship… … with Jesus Christ. We don’t mean to sound sarcastic or disrespectful. It’s been reported for several weeks now by several outlets that Bieber is more focused on his faith than ever before. Back in July, Bieber canceled the remaining dates on his world tour, allegedly due to his religious beliefs. The artist has been growing especially close to Hillsong Church leader Carl Lentz for awhile, so much so that fans are worried Bieber will actually give up music for the church. Referring to Bieber calling off a bunch of concerts this summer, an insider told TMZ the following at the time: “He made his decision based on spiritual soul-searching and his own view of the path in life he should be taking.” Hey, if Bieber is happy…whatever, right? That’s what matters. Earlier today, meanwhile, the superstar made another reference to his faith and the journey he’s apparently on, thanking another church leader, Josh Mehl, for seemingly playing a role in turning his life around. “I have learned so much from you, I’m a better man because of you,” wrote Bieber as a caption to the photo above, adding: “I’m a better friend because of you. You have been a true example of what Following Jesus looks like and I’m so grateful I get to walk through this life knowing you!” Pretty powerful stuff. Just a few weeks ago, manager and close friend Scooter Braun gave an interview in which he detailed just how far Bieber really had plummeted following his drunk driving arrest and other run-ins with the law/paparazzi. “It was worse than people realized,” Braun said . “I failed him day after day. We were living in hell because he was in such a dark place.” The music insider said others in the industry told him to give up on Bieber because “the kid was done,” making it clear that Bieber perhaps really did need to change paths. He was drinking a lot and partying all the time and his career was in danger. So don’t get mad at Bieber for taking a break now. Don’t pressure him to make new music. It sounds as though he needed the guidance of a church and various religious leaders to turn his life around and it sounds as though he’s found that. Just go ahead and wish him luck on his journey in that case. That’s what we’re choosing to do. View Slideshow: Justin Bieber: A Chronological List of 31 Women Who Slept With Him For Some Reason

David Cross Accused of Racism; Amber Tamblyn Fights Back

So there’s been this thing going on for the past couple of weeks, don’t know if you’ve noticed, where all kinds of people are really opening up about moments when they were harassed. It’s like women started talked about their experiences with Harvey Weinstein , then suddenly everyone felt comfortable sharing some real deep, dark stuff. It’s actually been pretty inspiring to see. People have called out Harvey and other celebrities like Ben Affleck and George Clooney for their bad behavior , and now actress/comedian Charlyne Yi is doing the same with David Cross. In a series of tweets made on Monday, Charlyne recalled the first time she met David. It was about ten years ago, she explained, and “he made fun of my pants (that were tattered because I was poor). Dumbfounded I stared at him speechless and he said to me ‘what’s a matter? You don’t speak English?? Cing-chong-ching-chong.'” “Then after he saw I was offended he asked me if I was going to fight with him karate in a southern accent.” She said that a few years after that, she was introduced to him again after she performed a comedy show, and “he said ‘Hi nice to meet you.'” “I will say this,” she continued. “I can tell the difference between this man making a joke vs condescending me.” “This happened 10 years ago and I sure as hell hope he’s changed (or at the very least, he’s scared enough to not be his racist self.” “HOWEVER,” she concluded, “it is very uncool that a 40+ man was being racist towards me, being a young 20 year old woman who was clearly on the verge of tears from his first racist comment.” So that’s a pretty awful story, right? But in a Twitter post of his own, David suggested that perhaps Charlyne simply wasn’t remembering things correctly. He wrote that this “accusation” was “deeply upsetting,” that he would “never intentionally hurt someone like that,” and that he does not even remember any of this happening. However, he also tried to make it clear that he wasn’t accusing her of lying, “and I’m truly sorry if I hurt her, it was never my intention to do that.” David said that while he doesn’t remember doing any of the things Charlyne said he did, he reached out to her about the issue, and he also proposed “the possibility that perhaps we are both misremembering exactly what happened that night.” He finished up his message with “I can’t believe I have to write this but I am not a racist nor a bully and loathe them in real life.” But after mulling the whole thing over for a while, he came to the conclusion that he may have actually said those things, but he just said them as “some asshole redneck racist character.” Because he grew up in Georgia, see, and he’s frequently used that kind of character to make fun of those asshole redneck racists. Charlyne just didn’t get that, apparently. After explaining that, he wrote that he was “done with this,” and that he hopes the people who have called him a racist have to deal with a similar scandal, because “maybe then you won’t be so quick to judge.” Yikes. Why is it so hard for some people to just make a sincere apology for something they’ve done? Why is that such a task? Charlyne made it clear that David offended her and hurt her, and not for some ridiculous reason either — regardless of whether or not he was doing a character, he said racist things to her and it didn’t go over well. Why does he feel the need to justify it so much when a simple “Hey, I was trying to be funny and messed up, I’m sorry” would have done the job? Whatever the reason, David’s wife, Amber Tamblyn, has jumped into the fray, too. And if you’re remembering her amazing words about feminism and sexism and hoping she’ll make it all better … well, you’re in for a surprise. Not a good one, either. People were talking on Twitter about David’s lackluster response to Charlyne’s story, and someone said that it was unfortunate because Amber is so great. “He said he was sorry, publicly, several times,” she responded. Please don’t @ me in conversations dragging my husband. Thanks.” Several people called her out for that statement, because David never really apologized, and he certainly didn’t do it several times. Someone even pointed out that she dragged James Woods “like a dead body all over the internet for being a perv but ‘sorry’ is OK for your obnoxiously racist husband.” Enough people pointed out the problem that she reconsidered, and last night she revealed that she personally spoke with Charlyne, “and her feelings/safety are all that matter to me.” “We’re good,” she added. “I owe you nothing, Twitter. You’re lucky to have me.” “I’ll say it again,” she wrote when people still tried to criticize her. “I spoke to Charlyne. I believe her. I’m about HER feelings/emotional health right now, not Twitter’s. That okay with you?” “I will say this for the last time. Do not hold women accountable for the actions, decisions or words of their partners. Don’t. Do it.” What an emotional roller coaster. Kailyn Lowry and Farrah Abraham to Jenelle Evans: Shut Up, You Whiner!

You have to know that you’re in the wrong when you’ve lost the moral high ground to Farrah Abraham. Though Kailyn Lowry has already dismissed the idea , the fact that remains that Jenelle Evans is threatening to quit Teen Mom 2 , alleging that the edits are making her look bad.  Now, both Kailyn Lowry and Farrah Abraham are weighing in on exactly what they think about Jenelle’s whining. Jenelle Evans, terror of Teen Mom 2 , might quit the franchise that she’s been with for, what, 8 years? In a bizarre case of a reality star biting the hand that feeds them, the Carolina Hurricane has been ranting about “unfair” edits that portray her and David Eason as bad parents. But Jenelle has also been refusing to film , so maybe she’s really sticking to her guns this time. Obviously, MTV and the producers and editors for Teen Mom 2 have to tell a story in order for Teen Mom 2 to be entertaining. Reality television is not a documentary, folks. But to hear Jenelle tell it, they’re publicly maligning her by only showing the bad things in her family. An obvious solution would be for her family to just … not have bad things to film, but maybe that just isn’t possible with  scary David Eason  around. Jenelle’s complaints that it’s MTV that’s ruining her life don’t really hold water, especially when you remember that people who know her in real life — like two grandmothers of two of her children — believe that her kids aren’t safe with her. Well, now not one but two of Jenelle’s costars are speaking up. TMZ caught up with Farrah Abraham , who, when pressed, was willing to discuss Jenelle Evans’ whining. “Look, here’s my thing: I don’t edit the show; none of the women do, so I don’t think that they should be talking about the edit.” In fact, Farrah is tired of the whole conversation. “That’s kind of a dead story. Some old topics.” Reality television is reality television. Farrah says that she focuses on being a star, on being “the talent.” “That’s my pay grade and I don’t like to edit, so I’ll leave it to them.” That makes sense. Everyone does their jobs and the show gets made and everybody gets paid. Farrah does have a fun suggestion for Jenelle: “Maybe she should just, you know, apply to edit the show.” Or she could just let qualified people do their jobs and maybe Jenelle could make a better effort to be a good mother. We would summarize Farrah’s attitude towards Jenelle and her gripes as … dismissive. “It is what it is. Like, who cares?” Kailyn Lowry also spoke to TMZ , and told them that editing just goes with the territory. “We all kind of have a storyline that they have to follow, and it’s up to us to change it if we want to better our image, or whatever.” Exactly. MTV can’t show only bad stuff if there isn’t any bad stuff, folks. “I can’t think of a time where they, like, edited my conversations like that.” Meaning that, in all of her years in the Teen Mom franchise, Kailyn hasn’t experienced anything like what Jenelle is alleging happened. That casts a lot of doubt on Jenelle’s claims. “But I meant here’s always times where we don’t like how they edit things.” Again, editing goes with the territory, but everybody performs their functions and gets paid. Only Jenelle seems to be losing her mind over it. “But, at the end of the day, that’s what we signed up for and it’s in our contract that they’re allowed to do that.” And then Kailyn talks about Jenelle, specifically. “I’m not going to say that Jenelle’s overreacting or being dramatic; I think Jenelle’s just being Jenelle.” That’s a nicely shady insult and also the total opposite of the 2008 meaning of she’s just being Miley . And Kailyn had a bit more to say. “Jenelle texted me saying to keep her name out of my mouth, so I’ll just leave it there.” View Slideshow: Jenelle Evans: Is She REALLY Quitting Teen Mom 2?! Yes, we’d heard that Jenelle told Kailyn to shut her “bitch ass” up or something along those lines (it was actually a demand that she end her “bitch ass comments”) Kailyn is then asked, in response to the news that Jenelle had texted her: “Are you guys friends.” Kailyn almost looks surprised by the question. ” Nope ,” she replies.

There was a Women in Hollywood Event of the Day

I wonder how many of these whores, who pretend they aren’t whores, but who are whores…with no real talent, no real purpose, just narcissism and ego that carries them in front of the camera, because women love male attention…and love being paid a ton of fucking money while getting that male attention…to live a life of luxury, like the vapid cunts they are… I am all for Feminism, I am a feminist, but there is no way anything these women who commoditize themselves, objectify themselves and not just for the Weinsteins of the world, but for everyone, pretending to be artists because it’s generally accepted that it’s an art…when really they aren’t progressing shit, they are just whining about shit, to get more attention, on their garbage, expensive garbage but garbage nonetheless, that they are… Fuck these whores…as they all pander to each other and celebrate each other and pretend they are supporting each other while they are women and actually hate each other…but it’s dark times, time for a revolution in their entertainment industry…that doesn’t matter….but people think matters.. Make movies, write movies, produce movies, you’re rich…don’t bring men into the movies…wear your panties and have pillow fights while making the movie and post it to your social media for us to jerk off to so you get your fix…I don’t understand why it’s even a conversation….obviously women are capable of doing anything men do, they can get as rich as men, they don’t need men to do it…but why don’t the fucking just do it instead of annoyingly whine about it…I don’t get it.
