Fresh Prince Lockdown Shuts Down School District

So, this actually happened in Pennsylvania this week… When a receptionist from an Ambridge doctor’s office phoned to remind student Travis Clawson that he had an upcoming appointment, the call went to voicemail No biggie, right? Except the receptionist heard the words “shooting” and “school” on the outgoing message… which led her to contact the police… who notified school officials… who instituted a lockdown of every school in the country. Fresh Prince Theme Song After 20 minutes, Clawson was finally tracked down in the guidance office and it was determined that the receptionist simply heard the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song on his voicemail, which refers to “shooting some ball outside of the school.” Police Chief James Mann and District Attorney Anthony Berosh both spoke to Clawson and cleared up the issue. No charges will be pressed and we can only presume, with the situation hilariously resolved, that all parties then returned to chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool…

Too Far? Chrianna-Inspired Law & Order SVU Episode Ends With Fake-Breezy Murking Fake Rih-Rih On A Yacht In “Bermuda”

Law & Order Episode Mirrors Chris Brown And Rihanna Relationship Last night, NBC aired an episode of the popular television drama “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” with a story line that was all but identical to the real life rollercoaster relationship between Rihanna and Chris Brown . In case you missed it, here’s a brief synopisis: via Hollywood Life The episode awkwardly began with a caption on the screen telling us it was not based on anyone in real life. We see a young singer named Misha performing a duet with Caleb Bryant — interesting initials “CB” — showing that they are really in love with each other. hen, two seconds after kissing on Misha, Caleb moves onto a background singer that looks exactly like Karrueche Tran. Misha obviously sees what is going on, but instead of handling it like a man, Caleb beats her up in front of a handful of people Caleb is a big jerk when he gets arrested for the beating that has now been blasted all over a popular gossip website. What’s also interesting is that when this happens, they actually have the words “Chris Brown & Rihanna” on screen. Comparing this beating to the one of Chris and RiRi were involved in is art imitating life. A few other events happen that mirror the wild child lifestyles of Breezy and Rih-Rih , but things a take a slightly different and significantly more tragic turn as episode comes to a close. Hit the flip to hear exactly how the episode ended and see whether or not the show took it too far.

It was the 20th February 2013, the day before Justin’s concert….

It was the 20th February 2013, the day before Justin’s concert. I had literally been crying all night after finding out about the book signing in London and knowing I wouldn’t be able to go. I was gutted and loosing hope about ever meeting him. I was just about to go to sleep when an e-mail flashed on my phone, “Bieber Fever Competitions.” I opened the e-mail, fell to the floor, screamed and cried. I couldn’t believe I had actually won meet and greets! It was the day of the tour and I was so excited all day. I went to Manchester at around 3 p.m. and met a girl from Twitter named Maisie. We were so excited to get the bands and finally meet him. We went to the box office and the bands were late so I met a few beliebers and got talking with them.  We finally got our wristbands and I screamed so loud, everyone looked at me. Then we saw Kenny through some doors and we got to queue backstage. We waited for like nearly an hour or more backstage. Then we were finally in a little room and could see the curtain that Justin was inside. The security told us not to scream or cry because Justin likes it when you’re calm. We were finally in the room with Justin. Alfredo was filming something and then I saw Justin. I couldn’t actually believe he was in front of me. We all ran up to him to try and hug him and he was like, “Slow it down guys,” in the cutest accent ever. I said to him quietly, “Thank you so much for saving my life.” He replied, “Awww it’s okay babe,” and smiled at me. I was next to him for the picture and he pulled me like soooooo close, it was just perfect. After the picture had been taken I had to hug him, so I did and I said, “I love you so much” and he said, “I love you too.” Then we were pushed out by security. Not joking – once we were out I broke down on the floor crying. It was the happiest 40 seconds of my life. I love my picture and I still can’t believe it. What I really want to say is Never Say Never. It sounds so stupid but I’ve liked Justin for 5 years and I didn’t give up. Do everything you can to meet him because I promise you when you finally do, everything will be so worth it! I still can’t believe my dream came true and nothing will ever make me happier than this. I’ve waited for the day I could post my experience for years and it finally happened! The Believe Tour was amazing and it was just the best day ever.  -@canadastyles See original here: It was the 20th February 2013, the day before Justin’s concert….

On 23rd February 2013 I met Justin for the second time and it…

On 23rd February 2013 I met Justin for the second time and it was absolutely perfect. I’m still in shock. I got to the venue for Justin’s book signing at around 4 p.m., and my two friends and I chased Justin’s car, but we couldn’t see him going in because there were too many people. Then we entered the building and went straight to the bathroom to write a birthday card for Justin. We finally joined the queue and we were probably the fifth people from the back. Whilst we queued, they were playing ‘Believe’ and the three of us were the only ones who were screaming, jumping, singing along and dancing the entire time. When we got close to the door of the room where Justin was, Kenny came out and I yelled, “YOU’RE SO MEECHY.” We entered the room. and I felt sick. I felt as if I was about to pass out. I couldn’t breathe. My absolute everything was in there and I was seconds away from meeting him. I didn’t see Justin immediately because I’m short but then I saw the flawless creature. He was so gorgeous, photos do not do him justice. I started sobbing and I yelled, “JUSTIN YOU’RE SO FLAWLESS.” The line moved and soon my best friend and I were right in front of him. My best friend said to him, “Justin you’re the reason why we’re best friends,” and he smiled at her and said, “Aww thank you so much.” Then he turned to me and goes, “Aww really?” I was DYING BECAUSE JUSTIN FREAKING BIEBER JUST SPOKE TO ME. I managed to get out the words, “Yes! Can I please have a hug?”  and he said, “I’m sorry, but I’m not allowed” he said, and looked kind of sad, but then he reached out and fist bumped me, and winked! His hand was so freaking soft and his wink was identical to the one he did on his SNL Valentine’s skit. As I walked out I yelled, “I love you so much, see you in 9 days!” I collapsed on the floor sobbing. We all grabbed each other and cried because it was so surreal. It was the best experience of my entire life and my brain still hasn’t processed that it happened. I don’t think it’ll ever sink in. The best part of it was that Justin seemed GENUINELY happy today. No fake smiles. All real. He’s the sweetest person ever. Every fan was greeted with a smile. Thank you so much for everything Justin, I love you so much and I can’t wait to see you on the Believe Tour. -Ally (@rauhlstratford) Read the rest here: On 23rd February 2013 I met Justin for the second time and it…

Chris Brown: Threatened By Gang Member Outside Club!

Everyone seems to have beef with Chris Brown these days. Drake is suing him after their brawl last year, Frank Ocean threw down with him in a parking lot, the D.A. alleges he didn’t do community service … so it goes. Now gang members are threatening him outside clubs ! As he left Playhouse Wednesday night – the same venue where Drake was denied entry because Chris was inside – he was confronted by some crazy dude. It’s unclear why the n-word, f-bomb throwing gangster was screaming at Brown, but he accused the star of being a crip and asked if his car was bulletproof. Chris drove away from the scene without any sort of physical altercation, but not before dropping a few f-bombs and n-bombs of his own back at the guy. When asked about the incident Friday outside his art studio, Rihanna ‘s boyfriend was uncharacteristically sanguine. “It’s L.A. brother,” he told TMZ. “You just gotta keep your head down and keep walking.” Words to live by. Not ones Chris Brown seems to abide by, given his history of being even-tempered and avoiding conflict, but words to live by just the same.

It took me awhile to finally write about My Bieber Experience…

It took me awhile to finally write about My Bieber Experience because I couldn’t find the words to describe how much it changed my life. I still shake just thinking about it and I’ll try to describe it the best way I can. It was October 22nd, 2012 when I got the email from BieberFever. I had won the contest to meet Justin the next night! I screamed so loud and was crying that my mom came downstairs thinking she had to take me to the ER again. Thats the usual case. I spent a lot of my time these past few years at the hospital getting tests, seeing doctors, and spending nights in there. It’s very scary to think about that if I didn’t have Justin I don’t think I would’ve made it through all the life-changing things I had to go through. I got through it thinking one day I’m going to meet him and tell him how he has changed my life and so I did. On October 23rd I arrived to Allstate Arena for the meet & greet. I had no idea what to expect, so when they said we had to go in groups of 6 people I got a little teary eyed. The security noticed and told me not to worry that they would let me in first. Within seconds, Kenny popped his head through the curtain and said, “Wipe your tears it’s your turn!” I walked in there nervous as ever but all my nerves flew away as Justin turned to me and was like, “Hi!” and wrapped his arms around me in a hug. My first words to him were, “This is my biggest dream you’ve gotten me through so much.” He relied, “Aw you are so cute!” I then told him, “I’ve been in the hospital and sick so much if it wasn’t for you I don’t know what would have happened.” This is the moment when I knew all those days of waiting to meet Justin was worth it. He looked me in the eyes and said “Everything’s going to be alright,” and grabbed me in for another hug. We took the picture and before I left I told him, “Thank you for everything” and that I loved him. He smiled back at me and said that if it wasn’t for people like me, he wouldn’t be here and that he loved me too. I think the most important thing to take from this is that you cannot believe everything you hear. I spent about 3 minutes with Justin and I could tell his heart is with his fans and he truly cares about us. There may be bad stories about him being rude or mean but not everything you hear is true. He is one of the nicest boys I’ve ever met and know that one day your dream will come true of meeting him like mine did! I’ve been here since before ‘One Time’ came out and my dream finally came true this year just like yours will one day! It’s worth the wait! – Nicole (@BieberEst94 ) More here: It took me awhile to finally write about My Bieber Experience…

Oscar Index: Killing ‘Lincoln’ Is All The Rage As Academy Voting Begins

The mailing of the final Oscar ballots this week signals the final stage of what has been the most volatile and tumultuous Oscar race in years. Between the snubs and the snark (that Anne Hathaway spoof has topped 500,000 hits), this year’s races rival for drama Frank Fane’s ruthless pursuit of Best Actor in The Oscar . At this late date, several races are still very much up for grabs. Let’s go to the Gold Linings Playbook to see how the major Oscar categories are shaping up this week. Best Picture Oscar pundits, we have a problem. In this corner, Hollywood Elsewhere’s Jeff Wells,  who, reveling in Lincoln ‘s  dwindling Best Picture prospects, called out “all the Gurus of Gold, and Gold Derby prognosticators who stuck with Lincoln all through December and especially January,” before dismissing the picture (and its 12 nominations) as “a grandfather clock of a movie.” And in the opposing corner we have Awards Daily’s Sasha Stone and Entertainment Weekly’s Thom Geier, Lincoln’ s staunchest defenders, railing against those who would question its Oscar cred. Stone calls Lincoln Spielberg’s “meditative masterpiece,” and, rather than switch to Argo , resolves to “adhere to the stats in the face of confusion,” while Geier, during a podcast with GD’s Tom O’Neil, reasoned: “I find it hard to imagine that when you’re filling out a ballot with 26 categories, the only thing you’re checking off is Argo for Best Picture. It’s possible that it could pick up some technical awards. It might pick up adapted screenplay over Lincoln . It could get editing. But it’s kind of hard for me to imagine an Argo sweep, which is what you tend to get with a Best Picture winner.” (Except in the case of Crash , O’Neil countered). The latest broadside against Lincoln came this week, from of all places, Connecticut. Congressman Joe Courtney, in an open letter to Spielberg that instantly went viral, hit the meticulously mounted film where it hurts: Its historical accuracy. In the film’s climactic roll call, two of three Connecticut’s representatives vote against abolishing slavery. Historical records prove otherwise and Courtney cried foul: “In many movies, including your own E.T . and Gremlins, for example, suspending disbelief is part of the cinematic experience and is critical to enjoying the film. But in a movie based on significant real-life events—particularly a movie about a seminal moment in American history so closely associated with Doris Kearns Goodwin and her book, Team of Rivals —accuracy is paramount. I understand that artistic license will be taken and that some facts may be blurred to make a story more compelling on the big screen, but placing the State of Connecticut on the wrong side of the historic and divisive fight over slavery is a distortion of easily verifiable facts and an inaccuracy that should be acknowledged, and if possible, corrected before Lincoln is released on DVD” And then there’s Argo . Ben Affleck’s triumph last weekend at the Directors Guild Awards sealed the deal on this scrappy film’s frontrunner status. Those not onboard the Argo bandwagon have pointed out that in 80 years only one film– Driving Miss Daisy -won Best Picture without receiving a Best Director nomination. But this week, a new narrative emerged: the spectre of Ron Howard’s Apollo 13 . Like  Argo, Apollo 13 rocketed through the awards season. It won the Producers Guild Award, the Director’s Guild Award (without a corresponding Best Director Oscar nomination), and an ensemble honor from the Screen Actors Guild. And then on Oscar night, it lost to Braveheart . Glenn Whipp, in The Los Angeles Times , offered a reality check to supporters of the other eight Best Picture nominees: “…the Argo opposition’s last-gasp hope — that Oscar voters will look at all this awards-season love and somehow wearily decide that enough is enough — is patently absurd. People in Hollywood, like moviegoers in general, genuinely like this movie. And with a preferential system that rewards films that voters rank near the top of their ballot, passion counts and polarity dooms.” In other words, proclaims Huffington Post’s Michael Hogan on his “For Your Consideration” blog, “Caveats here for the cliches “nobody knows anything” and “it’s not over ’til it’s over,” but: we know something, and it’s that the Best Picture race is over.” 1. Argo 2. Lincoln 3. Silver Linings Playbook 4. Life of Pi 5. Zero Dark Thirty 6. Beasts of the Southern Wild 7. Les Miserables 8. Amour 9. Django Unchained   Best Director So where does that leave the Best Director race? Only six times since 1949 when it was first presented has the DGA Award not anticipated the Best Director Oscar-winner. This year’s Oscar slate does not include Kathryn Bigelow , Tom Hooper, or Ben Affleck . Affleck’s snub would seem to be Steven Spielberg‘s gain. Lincoln, its Connecticut gaffe notwithstanding, has the most Oscar nominations, three of its cast members are up for the major acting honors, and it’s Spielberg. His closest competition, according to pundits, is Life of Pi director Ang Lee . Gold Derby’s Tariq Khan this week counted down five reasons why Lee could pull an upset. Some are subjective (“He really does deserve it,”  “The Academy may enjoy seeing a surprise here”), others more provocative (“He may get the most support from the tech branches”). And what of Michael Haneke , whose Amour , Stone notes, may be pulling a Polanski with a film that, that like The Pianist is catching fire at the last minute? Variety ’s Bob Verini this week summed up the situation succinctly: “The Oscar race is up for grabs for sure.” 1.Steven Spielberg ( Lincoln ) 2. Ang Lee ( Life of Pi ) 3. David O. Russell ( Silver Linings Playbook ) 4. Michael Haneke ( Amour ) 5. Benh Zeitlin ( Beasts of the Southern Wild )

Kate Middleton and Prince William Vacation Home: Insane!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have some pretty nice digs on their “babymoon” – and are intent on keeping a low profile – in the idyllic island of Mustique. Expecting their first baby in July, Prince William and Kate Middleton are staying at a five-bedroom villa set in lush gardens, which costs $25,000 a week: Also enjoying paradise? William’s in-laws! Kate’s parents Carole and Mike and siblings James and Pippa Middleton all came along for some rest and relaxation. As for their babymoon privacy concerns? But on this visit, the couple are mostly keeping to themselves, and they have good reason. With a staff of six (including a private chef on standby), a 60-foot infinity pool and a media room and guest cottage, their luxury villa has everything they need. It’s also completely hidden from view if you’re on the main road of the island, with just the tips of the pitched roof line visible from the beach down below. No more Kate Middleton topless photos , in other words. Phew. When they do venture out, the stunning beach, which many believe to be the finest on the Caribbean island, is just a short walk down a private path from the house. On past trips the duo has made many a trip down that path to stroll on the beach, take quick dips in the ocean and also to snorkel out past the rocky cove. The beach is still public however, and the couple save their sunbathing for the villa’s expansive pool deck … again, for obvious reasons after their French holiday. From the lounge chairs, pregnant Kate can look along the surface of an infinity pool and out to the other islands of the Grenadines spread out in the ocean below. Mustique, a favorite of the Middletons for years, “is locked-down … that always means some royalty is here ,” according to a source. Sounds like they’ve got it covered. It wasn’t always this low-key for the royals. On previous visits, William has stopped by for a drink and to play the piano at the bar at Firefly, and the couple even participated on Sunday karaoke night … seriously.
