Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the New Megan Fox

Please don’t shoot us Heidi Montag: but you won’t be taking over for Megan Fox in Transformers 3 . Multiple sources have confirmed that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is coming aboard the franchise, starting with this July 2011 release. “She’s accepted the offer, and I think they’re just waiting for her to get her work visa since she’s British,” an insider close to the production tells E! News. Huntington-Whiteley is a Victoria’s Secret model with “absolutely zero acting experience,” said a source. But she and director Michael Bay worked on a commercial together last year and hit it off. “He likes her, and that’s all that matters,” the source added, saying Rosie beat out Brooklyn Decker for the role. Huntington-Whiteley has rather big, beautiful, incredibly sexy shoes to fill now. Think she’s capable of taking over for Fox? Which of these beauties would you rather slip it to?

Rumor Mill: Doug Reinhardt Dating Rima Fakih, Paris Hilton Bombarding Him with Phone Calls

We’re not sure we believe this piece of celebrity gossip, as the sources are particularly weak, but Paris Hilton has allegedly been bombarding her ex with phone calls. Why? She’s distraught over reports that Doug Reinhardt, whom she dated for 14 months, is now with Miss USA Rima Fakih , and she’s determined to win him back. “Paris is furious,” a source supposedly close to Hilton said. “She was absolutely freaking out at the Cannes Film Festival when she heard Doug was talking to Rima.” “She’s been constantly contacting him and wants him back!” However, the recurring player on The Hills is said to be shunning the ho because he is not interested in a reunion. “He is just so over it,” says the source of Doug. Has Doug moved on from Paris … with Miss USA Rima Fakih?! We believe it … but not necessarily the part about Paris’ harassment. Despite her actions, Hilton recently said she loves being single and is “too busy” for love. “I love it! I am having so much fun. A lot of guys have obviously hit on me and I am getting thousands of calls, but I’m not ready to be with anyone,” she said. Thousands of calls. “I want to stay focused on myself and my family and my work. Then, maybe in six months or a year … but for right now, I’m just too busy for a relationship.” As for Doug and Rima Fakih, we have no clue how he and the pole dancing champion would have met, or how we wouldn’t have known about it if they had. You never know, though.

Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley To Replace Megan Fox In ‘Transformers 3’

Victoria’s Secret model is relative newcomer to acting. By Adam Rosenberg Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Photo: Todd Williamson/ WireImage With Megan Fox out of “Transformers 3” and actors already showing up on set , it’s getting down to crunch time for director Michael Bay, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Paramount to find a replacement female lead. The news today is that they appear to have found one. Deadline Hollywood reported Tuesday afternoon that the search had narrowed to three candidates: Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, actress and former fashion model Sarah Wright and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Brooklyn Decker. Huntington-Whiteley was named the front-runner in the original report, and a later update revealed that she had been chosen. Unlike Wright and Decker, who between them have a number of film and television credits, Huntington-Whiteley is a relative newcomer. She’s been modeling since 2003, for a range of names that include Abercrombie & Fitch, Clinique, DKNY and Ralph Lauren. Huntington-Whiteley has been working with Victoria’s Secret since 2006; it is likely that she made Bay’s short list because of his work on ad campaigns for the lingerie brand. Huntington-Whiteley’s name first came up as a possibility last week in a report from GeekWeek . Neither Wright nor Decker were named in the earlier story; GeekWeek simply wrote, “Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will soon be cast to replace Megan Fox.” Deadline further reports that Bay still has a week before he needs to finalize his pick. Star Shia LaBeouf shoots his first scenes with the female lead in two weeks and the production will continue through the summer. “Transformers 3” is scheduled for a July 2011 release. Brittany Murphy And Simon Monjack: A History Of Their Romance

Late actress and screenwriter, who married in 2007, died within five months of each other. By Gil Kaufman Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack Photo: Riccardo Savi/ WireImage On its surface, it was an unusual romance to say the least. The twice-engaged beautiful young actress with the sometimes-spotty filmography and the frumpy British B-movie director/screenwriter with a history of financial struggles who faced deportation just months before their wedding. Now, just over three years after the revelation of their secret April 2007 nuptials, Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack are dead , both having collapsed and passed away in the Hollywood home they shared with Murphy’s mother. Murphy — who died in December at age 32 from a combination of pneumonia, anemia and multiple drug intoxication &#8212 had a series of high-profile relationships with he likes of Ashton Kutcher and Fred Durst during her once-hot career. She was engaged to Jeff Kwatinetz, the Hollywood heavyweight producer/manager, for around five months in 2004. She then broke it off with him and got engaged in 2005 to a production assistant on her 2004 film, “Little Black Book,” Joe Macaluso. The pair ended their romance in August 2006. The actress once told tabloid magazine OK that she met Monjack when she was 17 and that the two had kept in touch over the years. “The easiest decision I ever made in my life was getting married,” she said. “He’s flown around the world to make sure we spend every single night together.” If the two kept in touch, it was a secret to most people in Hollywood, because even the tabloids were surprised when the pair tied the knot in a quiet Jewish ceremony in April 2007 after never really appearing in public together and not announcing their engagement. The small ceremony was reportedly attended by family members and wasn’t revealed until an Us Weekly reporter spotted the pair wearing wedding rings at the Kentucky Derby in early May 2007. E! Online speculated that the couple had gotten engaged at some point in the previous eight months, because before that, Murphy was still planning her wedding to Macaluso. The marriage was also shocking because Monjack, seven years older than Murphy, was practically unknown in the entertainment business and the press he had gotten was mostly unkind. Monjack was born in Hillingdon, England, on August 5, 1970. He was credited with writing, producing and directing the little-seen 2000 movie “Two Days, Nine Lives,” which starred “Hellboy II” actor Luke Goss as a movie producer who enters rehab after a drug-related crash. He also had a disputed co-writing credit on the Edie Sedgwick bio “Factory Girl.” He became most well-known for a pair of warrants issued in Virginia for alleged credit-card theft fraud that were later dropped, a nearly $500,000 judgment against him in 2006 following a lawsuit by a British investment firm and a nine-day jail stint in February 2007 by customs officials for overstaying his work visa. Even after their wedding, the couple was infrequently seen in public, and when news did emerge, it was typically unflattering, such as when Monjack allegedly showed up drunk and belligerent on the set of Murphy’s final film, 2009’s “The Caller.” Reports at the time said that Murphy was fired from the film after Monjack burst onto the set inebriated and disrupted shooting. A short time later, she was found dead in her home. Rumors swirled again when a distraught Monjack refused to allow the coroner’s office to do an autopsy on the actress.

What’s Next For The ‘Lost’ Creative Team?

Team Darlton splits up as Damon Lindelof chases ‘Cowboys & Aliens’ and another ‘Star Trek’ film. By Josh Wigler “Lost” co-creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse Photo: MTV News From compelling characters to expertly crafted set pieces, there’s no shortage of reasons why “Lost” tapped into the public consciousness with all the ferocity of a black smoke monster. But one of the biggest reasons the recently concluded series was such a pop-culture phenomenon is the caliber of the creative team behind the show’s scenes. Even as devout “Lost” fans mourn the passing of the series, life goes on in the form of new creative endeavors from the folks responsible for the critically acclaimed jungle mystery. Co-executive producers and show-runners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have repeatedly told reporters that they aren’t planning too far ahead beyond concluding “Lost,” but that’s not entirely true … at least not in Lindelof’s case. Alongside “Transformers” collaborators Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, Lindelof co-wrote the screenplay for “Cowboys & Aliens,” director Jon Favreau’s upcoming comic book adaptation about an alien invasion during the days of the Wild West. Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde and Sam Rockwell star in the feature. Lindelof is also in the process of co-writing a sequel to last summer’s “Star Trek” alongside returning writers Kurtzman and Orci. Plot details remain under wraps, though rumors persist that longtime “Trek” villain Khan will make his return in the sequel, with many fans pointing to “Lost” star Nestor Carbonell as a suitable actor for the role. The rumor remains unconfirmed. Additionally, it’s not known whether original director J.J. Abrams will helm the sequel. Speaking of Abrams, the “Lost” co-creator has plenty of plans up his sleeve, though he admittedly distanced himself from the ABC series in recent years due to a multitude of other commitments. In addition to the “Trek” sequel, Abrams is the director of the recently announced “Super 8,” an enigmatic science-fiction project produced by Steven Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment. Abrams is also planning a small-screen return with “Undercovers,” a new NBC television series about a married couple retired from the espionage game. Abrams and Lindelof aren’t the only ones with post-“Lost” plans, as co-writers Adam Horowitz and Eddie Kitsis collaborated on the screenplay for director Joe Kosinski’s “Tron Legacy,” which arrives in theaters in December of this year. Last month, it was reported that Horowitz and Kitsis have been hired to write a sequel to “Legacy.” Beyond the writers’ room, “Lost” composer Michael Giacchino is keeping himself busy as well. Fresh off his Academy Award victory for his work on “Up,” Giacchino will reunite with Pixar to supply the score for “John Carter of Mars,” the space-spanning science-fiction epic starring Taylor Kitsch in the title role. Even though the creative team behind “Lost” is moving on, fans haven’t seen the last of their work on the already sorely missed franchise. Lindelof and Cuse confirmed to MTV News that there’s one last bit of “Lost” business to take care of: a DVD feature in which Team Darlton will explain some of the most compelling mysteries left unanswered in the series finale. Tell us which post-“Lost” project you’re most excited to see from the creative team in the comments! Related Photos Spin-Offs For The Characters Of ‘Lost’

‘Lost’ Stars: What’s Next?

Evangeline Lilly has a project lined up, while Josh Holloway takes a more relaxed approach to his post-‘Lost’ career. By Josh Wigler Jorge Garcia, Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly on the penultimate episode of “Lost” Photo: ABC After six seasons of action-packed adventure and routinely confounding mysteries, the story of “Lost” is over — no more Jack, no more Sawyer, no more anybody. But just because the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 are no longer gracing the television screen week in and week out doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of the actors who play them. Fans are already used to seeing former “Lost” actors in other places. Elizabeth Mitchell is the star of “V,” for example, while Ian Somerhalder is one of three crucial characters on “The Vampire Diaries.” Soon, viewers will have all-new avenues to enjoy the work of their other favorite “Lost” actors too. Take Evangeline Lilly, for instance. The actress, who played fugitive Kate Austen on the series, has gone on the record with her intentions to take a break from acting after “Lost.” But Lilly, who previously held a small role in “The Hurt Locker” as Jeremy Renner’s wife, already has her first post-“Lost” gig lined up in the form of “Real Steel,” a futuristic boxing drama starring Hugh Jackman and fellow “Lost” alumnus Kevin Durand. Daniel Dae Kim, meanwhile, is not only staying on television, he’s also staying in Hawaii. The former Jin-Soo Kwon becomes Chin Ho Kelly next fall in CBS’ remake of “Hawaii Five-O.” Kim stars opposite Grace Park, an actress who knows a thing or two about ending a fan-favorite series in the form of “Battlestar Galactica.” Sarcastic pilot Frank Lapidus’ real-life counterpart, Jeff Fahey, has plans of his own too. He’s part of an all-star cast, including Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba and Robert De Niro, in “Machete,” based on a fictional trailer created for Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s “Grindhouse.” For some actors, the future is a bit unclear. Matthew Fox has long been attached to the comic book adaptation “Billy Smoke,” though a full year has elapsed since the latest major update on that project. Likewise, actor Nestor Carbonell is often mentioned for the role of Khan in the developing “Star Trek” sequel, though the rumor remains unconfirmed. Many “Lost” vets are taking things a bit easier. Josh Holloway and Jorge Garcia, for instance, have no immediate plans beyond returning to Los Angeles to find new work. Michael Emerson, meanwhile, is hoping to return to his roots as a stage actor. But if Terry O’Quinn has his way, it won’t be long before Ben and Locke reunite on the small screen. O’Quinn, who surprised audiences with his turn as the villainous smoke monster in the final season of “Lost,” has reportedly pitched producers on a television series starring himself and Emerson as two middle-aged hit men getting by in suburbia — a show that would certainly help struggling “Lost” fans through major bouts of withdrawal. Lost Executive Producers Redefine the Idea of Radio Silence

Many of you might not realize this, but Lost ends this Sunday night. ABC should really be publicizing this more, right? Kidding! The two-and-a-half hour series finale is basically being positioned as the geek Super Bowl: ABC is starting coverage at 7 p.m. and will keep fans tuned in until 1 a.m., when the special Lost edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live — with cast members and three alternate endings — wraps up. Two people who won’t be appearing with Kimmel, though, are Lost executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. Like David Chase — The Patron Saint of Finales — the men will go into a self-imposed radio silence following the last frame of Lost as a way to let their work speak for itself. Oh, and also because they have no one left to talk to.
