9/11 Conspiracy Theorists: Angry at Charlie Sheen

He’s angered CBS employees, sitcom fans and women’s rights group. But Charlie Sheen is now facing the wrath of an unexpected enemy: The 9/11 Truth Movement. A representative of that group – which alleges the World Trade Center attacks were initiated by the The United States – says he and his fellow conspiracy theorists are peeved that the actor is using his tour to prattle on about drug use, Denise Richards and other items that aren’t related to Sheen’s former claims about the buildings’ collapse appearing to be a “controlled demolition.” Mark Dice says Sheen should be “asking hard questions about what happened on 9/11 and the resulting wars… not bragging about smoking crack and sleeping with hookers.” Dice has failed in his attempts to contact the star and adds that he and his group will protest Sheen’s upcoming shows if the topic is not addressed. So congratulations Mark Dice and The 9/11 Truth Movement. You’ve managed to make Charlie Sheen look sane.

NBC Names Ground Zero Mosque Developer a ‘Person of the Year’

NBC has announced that it has named the developer of the controversial Islamic prayer center near Ground Zero, Sharif el-Gamal, one of the network’s “People of the Year.” El-Gamal will sit down for an interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer on Thanksgiving night. The prayer center, known as Park51, has sparked outrage and massive protests from people who say that building a mosque so close to the site of the World Trade Center attacks is disrespectful to 9/11 victims and their families. NBC’s previous coverage of Park51 has sometimes come off as insensitive to the people who object to the prayer center’s construction. Last August, NBC anchor Mika Brzezinski referred to Park51 opponents as people “who don’t care about the Constitution.” read more

Geraldo Rivera changes mind about 9/11 Truth after hearing new ads – Lexington courts | Examiner.com

Geraldo Rivera claims that he is now more open to the idea that 9/11 involved planted explosives after hearing new ad campaign. Rivera claims that the fact that the families of the victims and over 1300 architects and engineers are behind the new information has caused him to take a second look. The following is the press release for the ad: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 2, 2010 CONTACT: http://buildingwhat.org/contact/ PDF VERSION: http://buildingwhat.org/downloads/BuildingWhatPressRelease.pdf 9/11 Family Group Releases TV Ad Calling for World Trade Center Building 7 Investigation NEW YORK CITY — The NYC Coalition for Accountability Now (NYC CAN) is launching a television ad campaign on Election Day in New York City calling for an investigation into the destruction of World Trade Center Building 7, the third building to collapse on 9/11. Building 7 came down at 5:20 in the afternoon although it had not been hit by an aircraft. The ad, which is entitled “BuildingWhat?” and can be viewed at BuildingWhat.org, will air 350+ times from November 2 through November 10 and is estimated to be seen by millions of viewers in the New York Metropolitan Area, reaching core target audiences multiple times. NYC CAN’s goal is to generate public pressure on the New York City Council to open an investigation into the destruction of Building 7, which until 9/11 housed the City’s Emergency Operations Center, also known as “Mayor Giuliani’s bunker.” “We’ve been educating the City Council about Building 7 and the need for a new investigation for the past six months,” said Bob McIlvaine, father of Bobby McIlvaine and one of the 9/11 family members who appear in the ad. “We are asking them now to do something about it.” Patricia Perry, mother of NYPD officer John Perry, opens the ad saying, “Most people don’t know that a third tower fell on September 11th.” Footage of Building 7’s destruction begins to play while other 9/11 family members explain that 1,200 architects and engineers have examined the evidence and disagree with the official report issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which concluded that office fires brought down Building 7. This would mark the first and only time in history that fire has caused a steel-framed skyscraper to collapse. The ad closes by asking viewers to go to BuildingWhat.org to learn more. There Already Was A Ground-Zero Mosque — On The 17th Floor Of The World Trade Center

It turns out there was a Muslim prayer room on the 17th floor of the south tower of the World Trade Center, where Americans and other traveling Muslims prayed every day. On September 11th, 2001, when a handful of terrorists flew planes into the towers, some of the folks who used the room evacuated in time. Others probably didn't. In other words, there already was a “ground zero mosque”–used by Muslim Americans who were murdered just like everyone else. So isn't it time we stopped framing this discussion as “us versus them”? Samuel Freedman has more on the prayer room at the NYT > ( http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/11/nyregion/11religion.html?hp ) added by: toyotabedzrock

Why Would Pastor Terry Jones Creates ‘Burn a Quran (Qur’an or Koran) Day’ on September 11th (9/11)?

Pastor Terry Jones, a Florida pastor from the Dove World Outreach Center in Florida is calling for a burn a Quran day on September 11 to commemorate the tragic day of September 11th (9/11) that destroyed the World Trade Center and killed 2,996 persons including the hijackers. I can not believe anyone would instigate burning of a Quran. The victims of the 9/11th never suggest this idea. Nor did anyone from the US army that has been fighting the terrorists in the Middle Easts. http://newsfrontiers.blogspot.com/2010/09/why-would-pastor-terry-jones-creates.h… added by: NewsFrontiers

Cenk Suggests The 70% Of Americans Who Oppose Ground Zero Mosque Are ‘Ignorant’

Different host, same liberal bias . . . Subbing for Ed Schultz on MSNBC this evening, Cenk Ugyur suggested that the roughly 70% of Americans who oppose the Ground Zero mosque are “ignorant.”  Ugyur was debating the mosque matter with Republican strategist and former Newt staffer David Winston.  Winston suggested that the people behind the mosque could, in light of the overwhelming oppposition of Americans to the plan, show sensitivity by agreeing to site it elsewhere. That provoked Cenk’s snide insult, which, as you’ll see, actually revealed his own lack of knowledge on the subject . . . DAVID WINSTON: What I’m saying is, 70% of this country doesn’t like this idea. There’s a unique opportunity for Muslims to show, look, we understand Americans have difficulty with this, and we’re willing to have, to move somewhere else.  There’s just a sense of like, look, if we’re going to cooperate and get along, and things are going to work, people are going to have to understand the concerns that other folks have — CENK UGYUR: So you’re saying, you’re saying two things from what I’m hearing. One is, if 70% of the country is ignorant, we should back that up. If they don’t know the Constitution or they think Muslims are the same as al Qaeda, we should back that up.  Cenk suggests that those “ignorant” Americans “don’t know the Constitution.”  But if he had taken the time to inform himself of the poll question that CNN had put to people, and which generated the overwhelming response, he would have found that it read [emphasis added]: “As you may know, a group of Muslims in the U.S. plan to build a mosque two blocks from the site in New York City where the World Trade Center used to stand. Do you favor or oppose this plan? ” So that 70% [68% to be precise] weren’t asked, and weren’t opining, that they thought Muslims didn’t have a right to build the mosque. They were simply expressing their personal opinion to the effect that they “oppose the plan.”  And that is their constitutional right.  So who’s ignorant now?
