Nivea Skincare Exec Says Rihanna Is Too Raunchy To Represent The Brand An ad exec for the skincare company ‘Nivea’ says he’s not feelin’ Rih-Rih’s ratchet behavior and raunchy outfits as an image that should be associated with their brand. The company was originally thrilled to have the Barbados-born banger on board as a spokesperson, but they seemed to have changed their mind in light of……recent events. She’s known for her sexy attitude, raunchy outfits and outrageous behaviour. So it comes as little surprise that Rihanna’s advert for Nivea has been deemed too sexy to front campaigns for the skincare brand. The star appeared in a series of adverts for the firm, which was a sponsor of her world tour last year, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the company. And now cosmetic tycoon Stefan Heidenreich – the new head of Nivea’s parent firm, Beiersdorf – has told German media that the singer should have been considered a ‘no go’ for the brand’s family image. The 49-year-old said: ‘The advert starring Rihanna was a no go. I do not understand how Nivea can be brought into association with Rihanna.’ In one ad, a family is seen moisturising with Nivea while Rihanna’s sultry hit California King Bed plays in the background. Heidenreich added: ‘Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and reliability.’ When Nivea signed up the star last year they said they were ‘very excited’ to have her on board. Nivea board member Markus Pinger said in a press release at the time: ‘Over the past 100 years, Nivea has been an iconic skin-care brand across the world. ‘Rihanna is a music icon and her digital footprint will help us bring our anniversary celebration to consumers wherever they are. With 2008 Gold Medal honoree and world record holder Usain Bolt looking to stave off competition from countryman Yohan Blake and U.S. sprinter Justin Gatlin, who came out on top of today’s 100-meter dash? BOLT! The reigning Olympic champion went back-to-back, setting a blistering pace and also an Olympic record with a ridiculous time of 9.63 seconds. Blake came in second at 9.75 seconds and Gatlin earned Bronze with a time of 9.79. The Fastest Man in the History of the World will next compete in the 200 meters. Get your popcorn ready, people.

This is another MBE of mine! I went from not meeting Justin or any members from his crew to meeting almost all of them in one week! In my last MBE it says how I met Scooter, Alfredo & Kenny, but on June 19th, 2012, the release of BELIEVE, I went to J&R for Justin’s CD signing. That was my first time meeting him and I was so happy that I cried! When it was my turn to get up on line to get my CD signed, I saw Manny (Alfredo & Kennys driver) I got close to him last time, he followed me on Twitter and he’s just amazing. Well when I saw him he noticed me first and was like, “HEY ESMA LOOK RIGHT BEHIND YOU. JUSTIN’S WAITING FOR YOU” then I turned around (there were 4-5 girls ahead of me in line getting the CD signed) so when I turned around Justin was looking at me and I was just speechless. It was my turn to get it signed and I told him, “Hey Justin I love you so much” (I was speechless, I didnt know what to say!) he goes like “Hey I love you too!” I talked with Kenny and he said he remembered me from a couple days ago. The signing was quick, but it meant the world to me. After we got it signed, we decided to go sit in Starbucks near J&R cause we were tired, but my friend called us from another Starbucks saying, “HURRY RYAN GOOD IS HERE” so we ran a block just to go see Ryan and I got a a picture with him! He said he loved my phone case and thought it was so cool, he was the sweetest ever! After Starbucks, we walked and saw all the girls lined up by their car so we went down the block knowing he’ll pass, so right when their car came we CHASED IT about 2-3 blocks! They said the first Escalade that came was Justin’s car so we were chasing that, but that was Alfredos & Kenny’s, and I was kinda slow and holding up the other car behind me & it kept honking at me in a rhythm kind of, so I thought the car wasnt exactly behind me but it was and I had no idea but continued to chase the first car and was still holding up the car behind me, TURNS OUT IT WAS JUSTIN BIEBERS CAR!! I felt so bad so I moved to the sidewalk & it zoomed across all of us. But knowing me, I was the idiot holding up their car. So before I knew that it was Justin’s car, (my friend told me that it was that car like an hour after) so before I tweeted ” I was just in front of @ AlfredoFlores ’s car blocking it & they were beeping at me to move but I didnt realize…….oops,” and he tweeted me back randomly “@AlfredoFlores: @EsmaIlyas lmao I blame YOU!! Be safe.” and I felt like the biggest idiot ever. Well hey, now I can say I blocked Justin Biebers car right?! Well I went from not meeting any of them for over 3 years, to all of this happening. My name is Sabrina, I’m 15 years old and I live in Rome, Italy. One year ago, before Justin came in Milan a site that gives daily news about him announced a competition. It was March 20th 2011 when the site announced the contest. I was in my bedroom listening Justin’s music when I knew about the contest. You had to insert the SIAE code behind ”Never Say Never: The Remixes”, Justin’s CD that was released then. The site said about the competition: Justin Bieber is coming to Milan with the My World Tour! Want to meet him? The dream could become reality. On April 4th they would choose 30 lucky participants who’d win a meet & greet and a ticket for the concert on April 9th. I have always considered myself the best unluckiest girl in the world. I did not think that the ”never say never” really existed…until that day. I entered the code and I began to hope. If I won I would be one of 30 people in ALL ITALY! On April 4th I held open my email all day, but I had not receive a reply and it was time for dinner. My best friend was at my house, I kept refreshing my email again, but my mum called me and my best friend for help for dinner. After dinner I had to clear the table but my bf said to me, “You received the email.” YOU WON THE MEET & GREET WITH JUSTIN BIEBER IN MILAN. My mind, still owned by bad luck thought it was a joke but after opening the mail, it was reality. The tears began to scratch my face as it never happened, I screamed so loud that the whole world had heard me, maybe. All my family and my bf went up in my room, thinking something terrible had happened. My mum asked me why I was crying but all that I could say was, ”Never say never is real! I’ll live my dream!” My mother knew nothing about the competition, the only person who knew that I had entered was my best friend. My mother read the mail. In addition to the Meet & Greet I’d won a concert ticket. Then, the best day of my life arrived, and I was ready. I showed up at the appointed hour, and controlled the winners, we entered in the forum where Justin was waiting for us . We had to divide us into groups of 5 people. I was part of the second group to enter in the room where was Justin, and before we entered I was crying. Kenny came to us and take us from Justin, but initially we were covered by a wall. Received the okay, Kenny took my hand (I was the last of the line) and took me in front of Justin. I was crying and Justin smiled at me but the others 4 girls hugged him and I was the only one who was crying and was paralyzed. Justin said to me, “Come on” and spread his arms for me. I could not stand and Justin came up to me and consoled me, “Are you okay? Don’t cry please, I want to see you smile.” I moved away from him and I smiled, he said to me, “Look at the camera,” and he pointed it out to me. I dried my tears and we took the photo. I told him, “Thank you for everything,” and he smiled to me again, after that one an Italian security boy said to us, “Grazie” that in english means thanks. Kenny said, “Thank you girls” while Justin arranged his pants. I started to cry again, Justin turned my way and while I was leaving took my arm and told me, “Grazie” with his perfect smile, his perfect eyes. I hugged him again and when Kenny called him for another group I shook his hand which few seconds first held my arm and then I started to run away. He’s perfect, he’s the kind of boy that you will never leave, because with one simple smile he gives you the world. He’s the best idol in the world, I’m the happiest girl in the world.
