The WWE universe has lost a legend. George “The Animal” Steele, one of the wildest, most beloved and unpredictable superstars in the history of the company, has passed away from kidney failure. He was 79 years old. Born William James Myers, The Animal’s death was confirmed by WWE management and also by the ex-athlete’s wife, Patricia. She told TMZ Sports that Steele had been in and out of hospice care since last April. Prior to breaking into the sports entertainment business, Steele earned his Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University and became a high school teacher and wrestling coach in the Detroit, Michigan area. During this time in his life, Steele started to dabble in the world of professional wrestling, first appearing inside a WWE ring in 1967, where he feuded with WWE Champion Bruno Sammartino. Other feuds for Steele during this period included battles with Pedro Morales and Bob Backlund. He never won the title, but Steele was considered a strong, often-used villain for about two decades. Then, in 1985, a storyline found The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff abandoning Steele during a match. As a result, the wrestler ended up being managed by Caption Lou Albano, transforming into an oddball of a fan favorite with a green tongue and a penchant for eating the insides of a turnbuckle. Right now, reality is an extremely hard place to live in. And we have Donald Trump, soon-to-be president of the United States, to thank for a large part of that. It's just so difficult to believe, for so very many reasons, that of all the people in all the land, Trump is the one who's going to lead our country. And after his ridiculous, dumb, awful mess of a press conference a few days ago, things certainly aren't looking up. During the press conference, Trump addressed several important topics, including recent claims that he paid Russian hookers to perform for him at a very special golden shower party . To clarify, just because it's too ridiculous not to spell out in the simplest terms, our future president has been accused of paying prostitutes to pee on a bed in front of him. It's a bizarre story for some bizarre times, and thankfully, Saturday Night Live is here to point out the absurdity of the situation. And they did it just so hilariously. Alec Baldwin returned to SNL with his brilliant Trump impersonation last night to reenact the press conference. As Baldwin's Trump says in the opening of the skit, “Yes, this is really life, this is really happening.” And that's scary and tragic and so many other bad things, but this video? It sure is fun. Two of them focus on the latest talk of the town, that chest of hers, but one gives a classic throwback to the old Kardashian-Jenner favorite. She’s wearing a gold … dress? A gold piece of lingerie? Is there a difference for these people? She’s also rocking a bold lip and that nice blonde bob wig she was sporting last week. So what could this secret project of hers be? We’re guessing some kind of photo shoot , since really the only other guess we’d have from these photos would be porn. And honestly, it just doesn’t seem like it’s the right time for an adult film debut. We suppose she could also be preparing to launch a new lingerie line, or maybe she helped to develop a line of particularly terrible cameras. Jimmy Snuka, a former WWE superstar known for his high-flying moves inside the ring, lost his battle with stomach cancer on Sunday. He was 73 years old. Nicknamed “Superfly,” Snuka’s death was confirmed by his daughter on Twitter, Tamina, who is currently employed by the WWE, wrote the following about Snuka in the wake of his passing: “I LOVE YOU DAD.” She included with this message a moving photo of daughter and father. Here it is: Dwayne Johnson, the iconic professional wrestler who has turned into a global box office sensation, also paid tribute to Snuka online. “Our family @TaminaSnuka asked me to share the sad news that her dad Jimmy Snuka has just passed away,” Johnson wrote. Added Johnson in Samoan: “Alofa atu i le aiga atoa,” which translates to “Family is forever.” Jimmy Snuka rose to stardom in the 1970s and officially finished his career in 2010. After starting out as a heel/bad guy, Snuka won over fans with his acrobatic wrestling style, eventually turning into one of the most popular wrestlers of all-time. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996. Snuka had been battling terminal stomach cancer and dementia for years prior to his death. He was actually cleared on January 3 in the murder of ex-girlfriend Nancy Argentino, having not faced charges for 30 years until The Morning Call newspaper in Allentown, Pennsylvania raised new questions about whether Snuka told the truth in the case many decades ago. At 23 years old, Argentino died in 1983 after allegedly after being rushed to a hospital from Snuka’s Whitehall Township hotel room with a severse head injury. Argentino was Snuka’s mistress. She often traveled with him on the pro wrestling circuit. A judge in the case determined that there was no reason to continue earlier this month, considering Snuka’s terminal state; the judge deemed Snuka unfit to stand trial UPDATE : Snuka’s lawyer, Robert Kirwan, confirmed that Snuka passed away at 1 p.m. Sunday at his son-in-law’s home in Florida. “He’s battled various medical ailemts for over a year and half,” Kirwan said. “He’s at rest and he is at peace.
