Source: Courtesy Focus Features / Focus Features The Trailer For ‘Harriet’ Will Give You Chills The trailer for November’s highly anticipated Focus Features release ‘Harriet’ has finally arrived and we are so excited to share it with you. Based on the story of iconic freedom fighter Harriet Tubman, Harriet follows Tubman on her escape from slavery and subsequent missions to free dozens of slaves through the Underground Railroad in the face of growing pre-Civil War adversity. “This is the story of a seemingly powerless woman who accomplished the extraordinary to save her loved ones, and in the process became a leader of and inspiration for her people,” said producers Debra Martin Chase and Daniela Taplin Lundberg. “While Harriet Tubman is a household name, most people don’t know the breadth of her story – not only was she a conductor on the Underground Railroad, but she was a spy for the Union army and remains one of the the few women to have led an armed expedition in US history.” There was a ton of controversy over whether or not the role should have gone to an African-American actress rather than Erivo , do you think the trailer proves she was up to the task? No lie we not only caught the chills watching the trailer, we also shed actual TEARS.

Ultimately what he ends up getting is some life inspiring lessons and witnessing firsthand just how beloved Mr. Rogers is by all who know him and are familiar with his show. Source: SplashNews.com / Splash News Messy, messy, messy… LisaRaye Blasts Nicole Murphy For Alleged Antoine Fuqua Affair A new page has turned in the scandalous Nicole Murphy/Antonie Fuqua news. As previously reported damning photos hit the net of the “Training Day” director smooching Nicole Murphy MULTIPLE times poolside in Italy. Nicole has since responded herself and said that they’re “family friends” and were just greeting each other. According to actress LisaRaye however, there was nothing “friendly” about the liplock and she’s publically claiming that Nicole has a history with married men. “Gurl @NikkiMurphy you went after @IamLelaRochon husband too?” wrote LisaRaye in TheShadeRoom’s comments section. “SMH So wrong…again!!!” Woooooo chillay. Now if you’re wondering what LisaRaye means by “again”, she COULD allegedly be inferring about a previous rumor. Waaaay back in 2007, a New York Daily News report claimed that Nicole Murphy and LisaRaye’s husband Turks & Caicos Prime Minister Michael Misick were spotted (allegedly) KISSING at the opening of Mediterranean Village at Sandals’ Grande Antigua resort. LisaRaye was married to Michael Misick from 2006 to 2008. Source: SplashNews.com / Splash News Yikes. All the while this Antoine Fuqua scandal has been blowing up, people have been wondering what his wife Lela Rochon thinks about the drama. Source: Daniel Allan / Getty Mississippi House Candidate Murders Wife, Commits Suicide A Mississippi state legislature candidate, Carl Robinson, casually walked into his wife’s job at a medical clinic, produced a firearm, fatally shot her, then committed suicide according to Yahoo! News . Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson says that Robinson was served divorce papers Tuesday morning before murdering LaToya Thompson that same morning. Robinson was running for a District 5 House seat that includes parts of Benton, Marshall, Lafayette and Tate counties. He was on the ballot for the Aug. 6 primary election. By all accounts, Carl and LaToya were the “perfect couple” but there was clearly something dark and secretive lying beneath the surface. Tina Bills Herrington, a cousin of Robinson, said that he was the ultimate family man and that Thompson was a very kind person. “He was a great provider for his family, making sure that they didn’t go without,” Herrington said. “LaToya was very calm spirited and wanted to serve her family.” This is craziness. RIP to LaToya Thompson, Hell awaits for Carl Robinson. SMFH.

Source: Paul Archuleta/ Jeff Kravitz / Getty Nicole Murphy claims photos of her lip-locking with Lela Rochon’s husband Antoine Fuqua were just l “friendly” expressions of their “family friendship.” Interesting. Nicole quickly responded to the images, telling LoveBScott, “Antoine and I are just family friends. I ran into him in Italy and we exchanged a friendly hello and that was it.” Now that would all make sense if Nicole and Antoine weren’t caught kissing on two separate occasions and not on the lips.
