According to Deadline , the streaming site has acquired an action-comedy feature pitch by screenwriter Michael Diliberti that he will pen as a vehicle for Ellis and actor Glen Powell . The movie will follow two young Secret Service agents who are stuck with the worst detail in the First Family…the President’s offbeat son. When the kid is kidnapped abroad, the two agents must risk their lives to save him. The flick will be produced by Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch and Becky Sanderman. Diliberti’s writing credits include the movie 30 Minutes Or Less , starring Jesse Eisenberg. This will not be the first time Powell and Ellis will appear in a film together. The two are also co-stars in the upcoming sequel to the 1986 movie Top Gun called Top Gun: Maverick . Ellis has gained a name for himself as the love interest to Issa Rae on the hit HBO series Insecure . Through their on-and-off relationship, certain fans started to warm up to Ellis’ character Lawrence, almost to the point of being obsessed. Thus the #LawrenceHive was born. When Issa’s character and Lawrence broke up at one point, there was even a campaign to bring Lawrence back in season three of the show. Eventually Lawrence did make it to season three and he’s expected to return for season four, which is currently in production.

Source: WENN.com / WENN The Golden State Warriors are now down two All-Stars after Stephen Curry suffered a broken left hand during a freak collision during a drive to the basket. Curry will undergo tests and evaluation as a timetable has yet to be set for how long the star player will be on the shelf. ESPN reports that Curry, 31, collided with Phoenix Suns big man Aron Baynes while making a drive towards the basket. Baynes, attempting to take a charge, fell on Curry’s left hand and the pain from the injury was apparent right away. What makes this a tough injury is the Warriors are already missing Klay Thompson due to ACL surgery and talented big man Kevon Looney is also out for a few more games. The Suns beat out the Warriors 121-110, handing the California team a 1-3 record at the moment. Coach Steve Kerr addressed the media after the game stating that while the loss of Curry and Thompson are tough, the team is moving ahead in an attempt to find what pieces are in place to hopefully salvage their season. As one of the more stacked teams in the NBA, the Warriors have a cast of younger players who have been waiting in line to get more playing time and that opportunity will now present itself according to comments made by team owner Joe Lacob. — Photo: WENN
Source: SOPA Images / Getty Halloween can be a fantastic time for those that celebrate it. While it’s geared towards children, adults fall into the fun as well ! Costumes are sold online, in stores, in fact, there are even pop up Halloween stores specifically selling items for this one evening. While it can be fun to dress up as your favorite celebrity, movie character, childhood character, meme, and more and there are so many creative ways to construct a costume (or just buy one), you can take the fantasy too far. Halloween has become associated with cultural appropriation because people may dress up in costumes, not knowing the history behind it. Worst of all, there seems to always be a case(s) of Blackface every year, which naturally let’s me know that Halloween is also a time that some choose to offend. In the age of Google, it’s hard for me to accept that someone just didn’t “know”. Doing the research on your costume and spending some time thinking about why you want to have this costume should lead you to know whether it’s a smart idea or not. People choose ignorance. Source: SOPA Images / Getty However, when will we acknowledge that our diction is more damaging than the costumes themselves? It comes out in marginalized communities like minorities and the obese . Growing up, I recall Black people saying, they were going to be the “ Black version of Ariel ” or “the Black Belle.” Yes, we have evolved and have our own Black princesses (shout out to Tiana), it still seems like a limitation for when we dress up for Halloween. We should just be able to imagine those characters in our own image, because for so long, we were ignored on the screen. Also, you can recreate a character without trying to recreate a race; you don’t see Black people powdering their faces, yet the need to create inclusion is heard clearly through the description. We aren’t even having enough discussions around size in animation or representation in a positive light for the young and old alike. Jessica Rabbit was the “thickest” the community has gotten. We haven’t advanced far enough in our fight in diversity to where Disney has given us a voluptuous Princess, with roll and folds in all her glory. Thank goodness we have been graced with a real life BAP like Lizzo . Each year, plus size women are forced to create representation for themselves, we dress up as Tinkerbell’s and Mariah Carey ‘s, Beyoncé ‘s, Michelle Obama ‘s, and Oprah ‘s showcasing the power of plus size women within our superstars. As we strive to be a more culturally aware society, Greek Goddesses become Goddesses, we dress up as skeletons and not Day of the Dead, and we don’t wear makeup from specific African origins in which we don’t identify. It’s not sensitive, it’s respectful and inclusive. Sometimes it’s not what we see and more so what we imply and our verbiage. By thinking more about what we say, how we say it, and how we describe our costumes, can speak volumes to communities that are normally affected by the thoughtlessness within the Halloween holiday. If you've been keeping up with Mackenzie McKee, then you know her marriage hasn't been going well lately. It's been going so badly, in fact, that she's getting a divorce. Mackenzie has said a lot about how everything's been going, her reasoning behind the split, all sorts of things. But thanks to these new photos she just shared, we're starting to wonder if the split is even happening at all anymore … 1. So Much History Mackenzie and Josh have been together for a long time — they welcomed their first child in September of 2011 when they were both very young. 2. Memories They got married in 2013, had their second child in 2014, and their third in 2016. 3. What’s Been Happening? While Mackenzie is on Teen Mom OG now, she wasn’t on TV at all for most of all that — she had her 16 and Pregnant episode, the one season of Teen Mom 3, and then not much at all until MTV picked her back up recently. 4. Hmm So while we know oodles and oodles of information about all the other Teen Mom couples, we only know bits and pieces about the McKee marriage. 5. Real Talk And what we have heard over the years … well, it’s not great. 6. Ouch Remember when Mackenzie had postpartum depression after giving birth to her last child? She said then that she was suicidal, and that Josh had told her “Go kill yourself, but don’t do it in front of me and the kids.” View Slideshow

Giunta / Getty Tamron Hall Denies Selling Cocaine After Producers Scrub Her Confession From The Show According to Daily Mail , ABC producers had to axe a portion of Tamron Hall ‘s talk show after she confessed to viewers she used to ‘facilitate’ selling cocaine when she was a teenager. Audience members were blown away during Tuesday’s taping when she reportedly admitted to ‘facilitating’ the sale of the drug with her college boyfriend. Production then had to scramble to cut it from the pre-recorded program. Hall released a statement: “I never dealt drugs” and said that a segment of her show was edited out due to “legal reasons. During an interview with Prison Rights Advocate Topeka Sam, I shared a story about a bad situation I got myself into when I was 19. I never dealt drugs,” said Hall. I am now nearly 50 years old and was reflecting on a bad judgement call that could have turned worse,” the talk show host explained. “I say but for the grace of God, there go I. “It was part of an open and honest conversation about women, incarceration and mistakes made,” she continued. “For legal reasons a portion of that segment was edited from the show. I hope my show can be a forum for sharing stories without shame or judgement — including a conversation we’re having Friday on opioid addiction.” Hall’s new ABC talk show, Tamron Hall , premiered last month, marking the first time that she returned to daytime television after leaving Today two years ago.
Source: Albert L. Ortega / Getty Rosario Dawson’s Ex-Employee Sues Her Family For Transphobic Attack A transgender man who used to work for Rosario Dawson has filed a lawsuit claiming that he was abused and attacked violently by her mother a fit of transphobic rage. According to TMZ , Dedrek Finley, formerly known as Deidre, says he moved from NYC to LA in 2017 at the request of Rosario’s mother Isabel. Dedrek had been a family friend for years but had not told the Dawsons that he was trans until he arrived in California. Dedrek says that Rosario’s family, namely Isabel, her husband Gregory, and brother Gustavo, weren’t really feeling the trans lifestyle and allegedly made jokes about him and used the incorrect pronouns. He claims that he repeatedly told Rosario but she didn’t do much to put an end to the abuse. He claims Rosario also engaged in transphobic abuse because when Dedrek complained, Rosario allegedly said, “You’re a grown woman.” He claims he corrected her, but she replied, “Whatever.” Dedrek was living rent-free in a guest house on Rosario’s property and was charged with doing renovations. After the relationship with the family went left, he was told he had to move out. Dedrek alleges that Isabel knocked on his door on April 28, 2018 to talk but when he refused she threaten to kill his cat. Isabel also allegedly ripped a screen off a window, pulled him out through it, and began to beat him screaming, “You’re not so much of a man now.” He says Rosario then yelled, “Mom, stop being petty.” He says he thought she was coming to his defense, but instead he claims Rosario helped pin him so her mother could continue the beatdown. Dedrek also claims that one of the women took his cell phone possibly to delete a video that he had of Isabel threatening him and to stop him from calling the cops. At some point the police were contacted and a restraining order was placed against Isabel. His lawsuit checks assault, battery, trespass, discrimination, civil rights and labor violations as grievances for which he is seeking damages. No word from Rosario’s people about these incidents. Cory Booker’s people have got to be SHOOK.
One of the cool things about being on Teen Mom is that you make a lot of money. Like, a lot . The moms and the original dads make hundreds of thousands of dollars per season, if you can even believe it, and they also get to travel for free if MTV is filming, which is pretty neat since we've been seeing a lot more vacations on the show recently. But besides the show itself, cast members are pulling in crazy amounts of cash from all kinds of wild and crazy places. “Like where?” you may be wondering. Well, wonder no further … 1. Dang As we’ve said, the original cast members — the moms and the dads of their first children — all make the same amount, which is somewhere in the neighborhood of $350,000 to $400,000 a season. But what else does everyone do? 2. Amber Portwood Let’s start with reviewing Amber’s side hustles — this will be the easiest to do, because she really doesn’t have any. 3. Not Much She shares articles on her Instagram page, which brings in some money, and she did appear on that one season of Marriage Boot Camp a couple of years ago, so that’s something. 4. A Quick Hobby For a little while there, she got into flipping houses with Matt Baier, but she hasn’t done that since he’s been gone. 5. Forever Haute She did have that sketchy clothing company for a little while, Forever Haute, but she hasn’t talked about it in a very long time, and the brand’s Facebook page hasn’t been updated for a year and a half, so it’s probably safe to say that that’s done. 6. Well … Right now, she’s facing years in prison after assaulting Andrew Glennon, so she’s probably not thinking so much about her next business venture, you know? View Slideshow
